When I saw the luxurious layout of the room, I realized that Qiu Yi didn’t bring me to a lounge but to someone’s luxury suite.
We were supposed to have dinner with business partners tonight, but the most important CEO suddenly couldn’t make it. The partners mentioned that CEO Xu had just returned from abroad, hadn’t stayed at home, had bought a new apartment that was still being renovated, so he was temporarily staying in a hotel.
Hearing the surname Xu, my heart skipped a beat.
I wanted to ask his full name, but I was afraid of being too abrupt, wondering if I could find a chance to ask casually.
However, before I could ask, I was tricked by Qiu Yi.
He drugged my drink. Qiu Yi, like me, is a male omega and joined the company in the same period as I did.
While I kept getting promotions, he was never promoted.
Additionally, an alpha colleague he liked also liked me, so Qiu Yi despised me and badmouthed me both openly and secretly, and giving me the cold shoulder.
He sat next to me, accidentally knocking over my glass.
Unusually apologetic, he fetched me another glass of wine.
However, midway through the meal, I suddenly felt dizzy and struggled to suppress my pheromones.
I went to the restroom to calm down and ran into Qiu Yi.
He noted my pale face and offered to take me to a lounge to rest.
I thought he had changed, but he was actually waiting for this moment.
“This is not a lounge,” I managed to ask with the last bit of clarity, “Whose room is this?”
Qiu Yi dropped me on the floor, revealing a triumphant smile: “CEO Xu’s.
I begged a friend who works here to finally copy this room card. You’re finished, Zhuang Xu, you’ll be fired tomorrow.”
I took half a minute to understand.
This CEO Xu, reputed to dislike beauty, especially omega with freesia scent pheromones.
It seemed an omega with a freesia scent had once deceived him, and he had been searching for them for years without success.
When asked, “What will you do when you find them?”
He coldly spat out two words: “Kill them.”
02
My pheromones are exactly freesia.
If CEO Xu comes back and finds me, he will surely throw me out and have my boss fire me.
I will be disgraced and it will be hard to find work in this industry ever again.
Qiu Yi’s phone rang several times, and he chuckled: “Looks like CEO Xu will be back soon. I’ll leave first.”
I tried to hold him back, but my body was too weak.
The drug Qiu Yi slipped me made my suppressant ineffective, triggering a false heat, and my pheromones filled the room with a rich freesia scent.
My jacket still had a suppressant patch, and just as I was struggling to take it out, I heard the sound of a card swiping.
The door opened and the only thing I could think was: I’m done.
I slowly looked towards the door, the room was dim, I could only see a tall figure.
He seemed to choke on the full-room scent of freesia, then cursed: “Damn, not another one.”
I was barely conscious, but felt the voice was familiar. In the next second, he slammed the door shut with a thunderous crash.
Through the door, I heard his voice, cold to the extreme: “Get someone to clear the room immediately, handle it like before.
“Also, get me another room.” Soon, several voices appeared at the door, someone unlocked it, walked in briskly, picked me up on their shoulder, and left the room.
I glanced at their attire, likely bodyguards. hey must have taken suppressants, so they weren’t affected by my pheromones.
Once in the hallway, the lights brightened instantly, and instinctively, I closed my eyes.
I heard someone apologizing non-stop: “I’m sorry, CEO Xu, really sorry, we will definitely look into this matter.”
“Okay.” That familiar tone, it sounded like Xu Qi.
I tried to gather some consciousness, opened my eyes towards the source of the voice.
When I saw his face, I felt blood rush to my temples, the pain immense. I quickly bowed my head, pretending to be dead, suppressing the pain, waiting for the bodyguard to carry me away.
However, Xu Qi’s voice unexpectedly trembled: “Wait a minute.” It seemed someone walked in front of me, grabbed me from the bodyguard’s shoulder, and held me in their arms. I gasped, looking at the person holding me tightly.
Xu Qi’s eyes were bloodshot: “Zhuang Xu, is it you?”
03
Everyone around was stunned, not understanding why one second Xu Qi coldly ordered the person removed from the room, and the next he was holding them again.
Xu Qi laid me on the bed, his large hand touched my forehead: “Why is it so hot? Are you in heat?”
His palm felt cool, making my feverish body involuntarily tilt up to get more contact with his hand, then I gently rubbed against it.
Xu Qi seemed stunned, his body tensed.
His stiffness woke me up, this was bad, Xu Qi hated when I touched him.
Whenever I accidentally touched him before, he would quickly move away as if I were something dirty.
Now, not fully conscious, I dared to rub against his hand.
Fearing Xu Qi would throw me out, I quickly retreated, moving away from his hand.
Unexpectedly, I only moved back halfway before Xu Qi pulled me forward again.
Xu Qi voluntarily placed his hand against my cheek: “Is it very hot? Let me cool you down.”
My mind was muddled, logically wanting to move away, but subconsciously I leaned closer, nodding.
A wave of sea salt mint aroma spread in the room, dropping my body temperature by a few degrees.
It was Xu Qi releasing his pheromones. Our pheromone compatibility rate was 85, his pheromones had a soothing effect on me.
Maybe the false heat made me bold, after feeling the cool touch of Xu Qi’s silk shirt, I pressed my whole body against him, like an octopus.
Not sure if I was too heavy, Xu Qi took a deep breath, his voice a bit hoarse: “Zhuang Xu.”
I murmured a response.
“Stay still.” Xu Qi pressed his other hand against my restless self, his voice deep: “My suppressant is almost ineffective too.” I didn’t understand until there was a knock at the door.
Hearing the sound, Xu Qi seemed relieved, yet somewhat reluctant, he got up to go to the door.
The human-shaped air conditioner left, and I immediately grabbed him instinctively.
“Be good.” Xu Qi stroked my face, “I’ll be right back.”
Xu Qi was unexpectedly gentle in speaking to me, even actively helping me cool down.
I must have been feverish to hallucinate this. Xu Qi opened the door, grabbed something, and returned to the bedside.
He held several tubes of suppressant in his hand.
“It might hurt a bit.” As if announcing, he finished speaking, opened a tube, and injected it into my arm.
Then, quickly, he gave himself an injection too.
The heat gradually subsided, but my consciousness became more muddled.
My eyelids were too heavy to keep open, but I felt a cool kiss on the gland at the back of my neck.
Xu Qi’s breath sprayed in my ear.
“This time, I won’t let you escape again.”Â
