WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?
It happened so fast. One moment Jungkook opened the door and the next Jungkook’s mother cover the distance between them and slapped Seokjin. Everyone is in shock. Seokjin was looking at Hwanie and suddenly a stinging sensation came to his right chick. It took him moment to register what had actually happen. He immediately backed up holding Hwanie protectively.
Jungkook was in shock when his mother slapped Seokjin but soon came to his senses as he saw his mother raising her hand once again. He held her hand tightly and stand between her and Seokjin. No one has right to raise hand on his love. Not even his mother or himself. He was in rage. How dare of her to slap his love in front of him. She of all people knew that how important Seokjin for him.
“WHAT IS THIS BI*TCH DOING HERE? Mrs. Jeon said glaring at Jungkook. Jungkook didn’t give her any attention and turn towards Jin who was behind him.
“Jin go to your room.” Jungkook said in a soft and apologetic voice.
Seeing her son willingly take Seokjin inside, Mrs. Jeon’s anger boiled. How could her son do something like this? First he cancelled the engagement with IU out of nowhere without even telling his family beforehand. She came to know about it when she called IU for marriage arrangement. She was shocked at first. But IU made her believe that her son indeed break the engagement. When she asked IU the reason, she told her that Jungkook asked her to keep it secret between them, so she told Mrs. Jeon to ask Jungkook directly. So her first action was to contact her son. So she dashed towards his apartment knowing it’s his off day today only to found this ungrateful person has come back. How can he be so shameless?
Mrs. Jeon came to her senses when she heard a cry from the child Seokjin was holding.” He even dared to bring that bastard here.” She thought.
“YAH WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING. KICK HIM OU-“
“SHUT UP” Jungkook yelled making everyone in the room flinch. Seokjin hurriedly went inside and locked the door knowing Hwanie has woken up due to yelling.
“Jungk-“Mrs. Jeon said collecting herself but Jungkook interrupted by Jungkook glaring at her. Her eyes well with tears seeing her son glaring at her first time. Her son never ever yelled at her nor glared at her.
“I. will. Not. Tolerate. If. You. Ever. Dared. To. Touch. Him.” Jungkook said with dangerously low voice.
“Yah, I am your mother but he is your whor-”
“SHUT UP” Jungkook yelled once again.
Hoseok and Namjoon who were present in the room, watching everything not wanting to meddle in Jungkook’s personal life. But Seeing Jungkook getting this angry Namjoon decided to interrupt. He has to. Otherwise Jungkook will again do something terrible out of his anger. He can’t see the mother-son bond breaking. He was seeing them adore each other for years. He can’t see them tearing apart like this. At last he managed to make Mrs. Jeon and Jungkook sit on the couch silently and making them calm.
Jungkook was angry but he couldn’t blame his mother for her behavior. He himself behave horribly when he saw Seokjin after years. Then how can he blame her? He has to apologize. He could imagine how his word had hurt her. He crouch down in front of her. Holding her hands in his. He could see her mother was trying too hard to hold back her tears.
“Not a single bad word about him mom. Please” He said placing his head on their intertwined hands.
“Ho- How can you forget how he betrayed you?” Mrs. Jeon said with hurt voice.
“He came here with another man’s ch-“Mrs. Jeon tried to resonate.
“He didn’t betray me mom. The child was mine.”
“But we, I mean DNA tes-“
“It was fake.” Jungkook said looking at his mother but on the other hand she didn’t believe him. How can he say the test was fake? It was done with tight security and under Yoongi’s observation.
“How could- how could you be so sure?”
Jungkook knew his mother will not believe him. But she has to know. She has to know the severity of what they had done to Jin.
“Hwanie is sick. He needed bone marrow from blood related person. Jin’s didn’t match. As Jin is orphan he had no option but to come to me. We did test and I am compatible. So I am the father.” Jungkook said slowly pausing enough to his mother understand his each word. Jungkook watched as his mother’s expression turned into horror.
“God, so……………… it means………….he was innocent………………….but………but…………..we were so horrible to h- Gosh what had we done!” The words involuntarily came out of her mouth. Like she was talking to herself. A tear rolled out from her cheek. Then second and then third. She looked at Jungkook with teary eyes.
“The child, the Jeon’s blood, my grandson, we abandoned him. He is sick. It is our fault, Son.” With that she dashed out of the apartment. Jungkook watched his mother go out of the door. He sat on floor placing his hands on his head. Each and every moment was like a hell for him. Filled with guilt, sorrow, pain and self-hatred.
Jungkook knocked on Jin’s and Hwanie’s bedroom door. His mom was left while ago. He collected himself and came to apologize to Seokjin.
“Jin” He said as Seokjin opened the door and leave a space for him to enter.
“Hwanie is awake?” Jungkook asked.
“Yeah. The yelling woke him up.” Jin answered.
“Hwanie baby”
“Yes uncle bunny?”
“Jimin was looking for you. He said he has something for you.” Jungkook said. He was expected Hwanie to go immediately but being the Appa’s boy he is, he looked at Jin asking for permission.
“Appa” Hwanie said to Seokjin with those puppy eyes.
“Go”
“I love you, appa” Hwanie said as he kissed Seokjin on cheek and run out of the room.
“I love you too” Jin replied.
Jungkook watched the interaction between them. Though he was happy seeing them like this but somewhere in his heart he was hurting. He was longing for such interactions with his son.
“Jin” Jungkook said as he sat beside Jin on the couch. Seokjin didn’t replied. He kept silent looking at Jungkook with blank expression. There was time when Jungkook had always knew how Seokjin was feeling just by seeing his face but now he couldn’t even guess what Jin was feeling. Seokjin is like a closed bottle now, he is mastered in controlling his emotions.
“I am sorry.” Jungkook said as he slowly touched Jin’s cheek where his mother slapped him. He couldn’t control himself anymore as he hugged Seokjin suddenly, crying on his shoulder. Seokjin shocked a bit but soon relaxed. Letting Jungkook cry on his shoulder.
“I am sorry for always bringing you pain. (Sob) I am really sorry. “Said Jungkook crying.
Seokjin sat there as Jungkook was crying more by passing second. It was hurting him to see Jungkook cry like this but he couldn’t bring himself to console him or even saying soothing words to him. One part of him wanted to rip Jungkook of him for what he had done but other part of him couldn’t bear to see Jungkook so vulnerable.
Jungkook cried for like a fifteen minutes. But he remembered he has meeting with the detective in half an hour. So he collected himself. He was happy for the first time in days. He was happy that Seokjin let him touch him. Though Jin acted like his crying didn’t affect him but he was happy that Seokjin let him cry on his shoulder and even let him hug him (Jin).

Jungkook couldn’t believe what the detective had told him. How can he was betrayed by his close people like this. He was feeling like he was getting mocked. How can something like this happened under his nose and he had no clue of any of it. How can he betray him when he treated him like a real brother? And to his fault, that person had done it years before and he came to know it now, when he had hired a detective. He felt like that person was laughing on his stupidity.
At the same time at the apartment .Seokjin was lying on the bed besides sleeping Hwanie. He was thinking of how it would affect him when he found out the person behind his all miseries. All those years, he never really thought about who done such a dangerous deed with him, the only thing he ever thought was his real criminals. Those people who refused to believe him. They were real culprit for him not the one who planned all this.
Someone knocked on door. Seokjin looked at the time, it was past midnight. He thought, maybe it was Jungkook. He rose from bed and opened the door only to see drunk Yoongi leaning on his door frame.
“Jinnie”
