“So…. where’re your friends hyung?” His brother asked him as he’s looking at his phone.

“They said they were on their way here. They might arrive in a few minutes.” He said as he slid his phone into his pants.

“Are you sure? They’re not gonna leave us here right? ’cause if they do, i’m not gonna let ’em see you again.” He said threatening him.

“They will. They’re nice people, Jeongin-ah. You don’t have to worry about a thing.”

“I’ll be the one to judge.” Just then, a group of people arrived waving at Y/N.

“Y/N!” The orange-haired girl called him. “This is your brother?” She asked pointing at him.

“Yes. Introduce yourself.” He told his brother. Instead of giving an answer, he was frozen.

They-they’re all beautiful…. and this hyung looks cool….

“Jeongin!” Y/N called him louder as he tapped him from the back.

“Sorry. Let me introduce myself. My name is Lim Jeongin.”

Each of the girls then introduced themselves to him starting with Chaewon and ending with Hyunjin.

“So, where are we going now?” Jeongin asked.

“You wanted to talk with us right? Let’s look for a place where we can sit down and talk.” Chaewon said.

All of them followed Chaewon’s lead to a cafe where it’s quite packed up. They had to wait for about 10 minutes before they can sit inside and make themselves comfortable.

“What do you want to talk about, Jeongin-ah?” Chaewon opened the conversation.

“Eh?”

“Y/N said you wanted to talk about something to us.” Jeongin started getting nervous as his eyes are shaking. He already knew what he was gonna say even as far as practicing how he would’ve said it. But it all fell apart as 3 beautiful girls appeared in front of his eyes.

“Uhh…. i  uhh……”

“Come on, Jeongin. Take a deep breath.” Y/N helped his brother by calming him down. It took him a few minutes before he finally calmed down.

“So….. is it true that you guys are helping my brother?” He asked them. That wasn’t actually the words he wanted to say, but not wanting to let them wait any longer and also not wanting to embarrass himself, he just said what came to his mind at the moment.

“Yup!” Chaewon nodded. “We are helping him! We had taught him about happiness and sadness already. But i don’t think Y/N had quite remember about the whole sadness thing.”

“Does that mean he knows what happiness is?”

“Do you know, Y/N?” Chaewon asked Y/N.

“I think i got it. I just need you guys to confirm whether my feelings are a happy one or not.”

“I see. What about sadness?”

“That i don’t quite get.”

“But hyung. Do you remember about the time where mom had bought you a birthday cake and she cried because you weren’t reacting the way she expected you to be?”

“…..ah. Okay i remember that.”

“You cried when you went into our room hyung. You didn’t put on any emotions, but you were crying. Do you remember what made you like that?”

“Hm….. let me think about it for a moment.” Y/N racked up his brain trying to remember about his past. “I think….. i remember.”

“Really?” He nodded.

“I saw mother crying. I felt something inside, and all of a sudden my eyes were dripping water.”

“That’s sadness, Y/N! Or i guess it might be.” Yena declared.

“Is it?”

“What was your thought process at the time Y/N-oppa?” Yuri asked.

Y/N started explaining things thoroughly as the others are listening to him with full of dedication. The little brother was seeing it all making sure that no one is making fun of him or something. He was hoping to find at least one person laughing at him as he started explaining things or something, but he couldn’t find any. He felt glad inside that it seems that the people he met today are sincere about helping him.

“I need to go.” Hyunjin said as he got up from his seat.

“Is it about work?” Yuri asked him.

“Yeah. See you guys on monday.” He left the group leaving Y/N with his brother and the three girls.

“Where is he going?” Y/N asked.

“His part-time work. He does it every few days a week.”

“Really? How come i never knew?”

“You only met us about a week ago, Y/N. It’s a given you hadn’t known yet.”

“Makes sense… so what is he doing?”

“I think he said something about a convenience store or something.”

Time skip

“Y/N. Before you leave, can you leave your brother with us for a moment? I want to talk with him for a bit. It won’t take long.” Y/N gave Jeongin the green light as he followed the three girls to a spot not far from Y/N.

“So, do you believe us now?” She asked as Jeongin glanced at his brother who was looking at him before he looked away.

” *sigh* at least he looked more…. comfortable. With you guys.”

“Great! We can talk more any time since it’s getting late. You can join us if you want!”

“I’ll tell my brother if i ever want to join. But for now, I’ll leave him to you.” He bowed to the girls as they told him to lift his head up. “But of course, i’ll help however i can.”

“We’ll do our best, Jeongin-ah.” Yena said to him as she fist-bumped him.

“Take care!”

Time skip to monday

Hyunjin threw an empty can making someone nearby startled and turn back. He shook his head in frustration as he lowered his head.

Just check the damn cctv! How could they just accuse me of stealing like that?!

“What’re you doing out here Hyunjin?” Y/N asked as he sat down next to him. Hyunjin shoved his hand away knowing it was him.

Why does he have to be here of all places? Tch.

“Chaewon was searching for you. I was also looking for you.”

“Why’re you searching for me? I haven’t even helped you in anything.”

“It just doesn’t feel complete without you.”

“I see…. thanks i guess. So, what did you learn today?” Hyunjin asked.

“I was learning about anger. Speaking of anger, you seem angry right now.”

“Do i?”

“I saw you throwing a bottle earlier from afar. I don’t know what else you could’ve been feeling other than anger.”

“I might’ve been happy.”

“But your face doesn’t show you being happy.”

“Looks like someone’s improving.”

“More than you could imagine.” He said making Hyunjin chuckle.

“So, did Yena and Yuri did their weird play again?” He nodded to his question.

“To be honest, i think i felt…. awkward, seeing them do that.”

“So you know what awkward is?”

“My parents told me that i should try and ask my brother about some things too. And i recently learned about awkward.”

“I see. Well, i do feel awkward too. Which means, you’re not alone.”

“I was right then. I’ll write it on my note.” He took out his usual notebook from his back and started noting it down.

“That book. What are you writing down over there?”

“I wrote down about things like how i feel, and what it’s called and such.”

“You’re taking this seriously aren’t you?”

“You guys used your time to help someone like me, so of course i’ll be serious. I can’t let it go to waste.”

“Thank you for that. I’ll help more in the future.”

“This reminds me. I want to ask about something that my brother taught me a bit.”

“What is it?”

“Is it true that you’re in love Chaewon?”
