[Y/n Point of View]

Straight to the point, it has been centuries since the day i nearly died. The day where i was on the brink of death, yet, miraculously, I am alive. Thanks to a certain someone who is part of a delegation that calls themselves The Fatui, and the very person himself who found me was no more than the Doctor—II Dottore of the Fatui Harbingers.

I’d be lying if I said I am indebted to him. Truth be told, it was the Tsaritsa herself who wishfully wanted to nurse me back to life which i have no certain of her reason even until now, and per her orders, I was in that madman’s care.

Not only did Her Majesty invited me to join her, but she also appointed me to be one of her Harbingers. Coincidentally, I became part of this infamous organization after abandoning my title and duty as a heir to the Kujou Clan from the nation that birthed me. Just mentioning it is enough to drive me marching towards Inazuma and start a war.
..
..

Patience, Y/n, patience.

Ever since the Puppeteer gone and the ranks fixed i took his position in his stead, and honestly i am pleased enough with him gone, just having him around strikes a nerve every moment i catch his face, he bears so much resemblance to a certain someone whom i am sort of certain is the one who ended me, thus alone is enough to mix feelings of push and pull between longing and hatered.

. . .

I shake my head pushing those thoughts off.

Aside from this clichéd introduction, I remember having an appointed meeting with the Doctor.. the one who took me in with the uncanny ability to pull me back to life while conducting countless experiments on me for years. As a result, I have been bestowed with unwanted immortality.

During that time i really had no high hopes in living, with the expectations of no more than death. As it seemed to be a kinder fate rather than enduring countless needles and sharp knives digging through my flesh. It was an absolute torture. In fact, he wasn’t lying when he mentioned a suffering worse than hell itself. He did really warn me, and now, here I am.

I walk through the hallway making my way down to the inner palace, my footsteps echoing step by step, i take turns after turns and suddenly suddenly coming into halt noticing a familiar figure standing just about 4 feet away from me.

The Doctor.

“About time you came, i was nearly wondering that you might’ve flee away after drowning you in a tube filled chemicals.” He exclaims while taking off his mask slowly before turning to walk.

“Missing me too much?” I tail him from behind.

“I miss the most absolute and marvelous experiment results i am getting from you.” He replies before chuckling while i fight my urge not to roll my eyes. Courtesy. Y/n. Courtesy..

We walk our way until i notice a miss of turns to our passing. “From the looks of it, it seems we aren’t going to the lab today Doctor?” I question.

“There will be a grand meeting held today, and i was told all of the Harbingers must attend to this.”

“Meeting? About what exactly?” I question him, with multiple reasons swimming across my thoughts.

A meeting like this isn’t something that happens very often. As Harbingers with our hands full, we wouldn’t even bother holding one for that Balladeer’s bravado. Though I feel pity for that half-ass puppet, he was immediately replaced after his disappearance and the whole turn of it was deemed to be trivial. I am certain that the possibility of pulling the rest of us into a gathering could only be something the Tsaritsa herself is capable of. This means it could be a crucial turn of event.

I ponder, lost in thought. My attention pulled away from my surroundings, suddenly i find myself bumping behind his broad back.

“Oh, why the long face?”

He questions me after turning with his dark crimson eyes meeting mine, from the looks of the the height difference is much clearer.

“Pardon me, i just can’t help but find myself wondering of what exactly is the reason behind the gatherings.” I ask before backing away making sure there are space between us.

“Oh you didn’t hear?” He pauses before adding this time his tone much more sharper.

“I was told to believe that. Signora was confirmed to be dead.”

My eyes widen to his exclaims now bewildered. How in the Teyvat could Signora possibly… He then chuckles at my reaction before pulling his mask on again fitting it to his face and signaling me to follow. So, I do. Without a word, I continue to tail him, our footsteps echoing through the walls, the gap between us growing farther.

After a while we’ve finally arrived at the main gathering, Dottore was the first to make his way next to Pierro greeting him with exchange words i couldn’t possibly hear from this distance. Yet i remain standing before the rest of the harbingers, with my eyes glancing back and forth until it lands to an elaborate coffin where Colombina is currently sitting on, and to my realization. I find myself walking closer towards it.

“Is this how you treat our fallen comrade? Damselette.”

The pyro crystalfly in turn leaves her finger at my presence instead having it fly towards me landing atop my head and i couldn’t careless or find what it even means.

“Now, don’t be so cruel after all i came all the way here with my back and feet aching from all the travels, don’t you think so? Knavey~” She coos before faking a sob at me. Oh, the audacity.

I am again fighting my urges not to roll my eyes, though I’d be doing that long ago only if i had my mask on. Tsk–

. . .

Signora is dead” a deep, condemning voice belonging to Pierro booms throughout the room, catching everyone’s attention, including mine. Noticing Columbina’s downturned attire, she bows first before walking beside Arlecchino herself to stand. Then, each of us turns our attention to the coffin before us.

. . .
. . .

And then the room went silence for a moment and it truly was deafening enough to me. After a few moments more passed Pierro began to explain what happened in the events that unfolded in Inazuma. I believed that La Signora and the Balladeer we’re tasked to retrieve the Electro Gnosis from that nation though i never imagined them to fail this way.

According to Pierro, Signora met her demise within the Tenshukaku which also led to believe that the Gnosis in turn were snatched by the Scaramouche himself during his runaway in the Factory Delusion.

Tsk—Coward, taking all the credit after all the fiasco, running with his tail tucked between his legs, i thought to myself silently.

“How did it come to this?” I suddenly question, with no idea or reason for asking out of the blue. It seems my emotions are spilling from their place at the very moment. I find the rest of the Harbinger’s attention darting towards me, it is pressuring enough but i hold myself to remain disdainful.

“According to the reports from the spies which was planted throughout Inazuma, all the events started to downturn due to all the intervention from a mysterious traveler.” Pierro explains sighing as he shakes his head.

Losing Lady Signora is a huge lose to us Fatui, unlike that extra manpower Bald-eer, she manages all the paperwork and financial efficiency and well-being working along with Panty– .. i mean Sir, Pantalone. Having her at lose that would mean her responsibilities will either be passed to any one of us.

. . .

Wait. Traveler?
Wasn’t that Signora mentioned to me before months ago during her mission in snatching the Anemo Gnosis from Barbatos of Mondstad. She claimed her to be weak, yet how can she possibly lose–

..

No wait, Pierro never mentioned of the traveler taking her life but in otherwords… I grit my teeth in the thoughts of it. The only one who is capable of getting rid of her in an instant is none other than the her.

Shadow.

The wound in my chest throbs at the thought of it, the pain still lingers from the memory of it craved deep inside my head.

Ei. That bitter name in my raging mind, the tip of her sword pointing at me, the thunder that struck me down, the glowing anger behind her face and finally the cries she pinned upon me.

. . .
. . .

Y/n!” I was snapped out of my thoughts and attention pulled once again into realiy, the pain from my chest subside a little somehow. And the voice that mentioned me i believed it came from Tsaritsa herself.

“Forgive me, Your Grace.. were you mentioning something of sort?” The silence followed to my exclaims, all the faces within the room are unreadable except for Dottore’s grinning expression, Columbina’s readable worries and finally Tartaglia’s sneering amusement. Except for Tsaritsa, well, i am not certain but i could read well one of them. Disappointment.

The long face of yours at this situation is troubling, Y/n.. i will repeat just this once. What do you think of taking responsibible for Signora’s lose.” She explains once again, her tone is cold, much colder than the blizzard out in the Palace.

Does she mean that she either want to to take the responsibility of Signora’s duties or perhaps.. unless, wait.. she couldn’t possibly be referring to-

Your silence tells me otherwise, do you have any objection of sort?”

“No. Not at all your grace, though I’d like to know more of what sort do you mean by ‘responsible?'” I ask, rather hesitant yet i keep my demeanor as confident as possible i rather not want to appear weak among these pack of wolves.

Y/n, as the rest of us are certain that you once belonged to Inazuma and the same goes for The Puppeteer, none of us here can be more familiar within land of Electro. I repeat.” She pauses before adding much more colder than it is now, those alone is enough to slowly freeze the corners of the room.

With Signora and Balladeer gone and documents stolen from its rightful hands it’s clear enough only you are capable of carrying  out this task.”

She finishes her voice booming within the room noticing the temperature immediately dropping from -1.26 to -95.7 damned Celsius. I wont miss the fact that the rest of the Harbingers are  shivering except for Arlecchino, me so does Pierro as if he is used to something like this. Gods, no mortal would possibly survive at this point. It is clear that we are Harbingers for a reason. Is she purposely being intimidating perhaps it is just my imagination.

.

. .

“I’ll conclude today’s discussion and.. Y/n. Meet me after the dawn.” She declares before leaving with Pierro following behind her. The rest of the Harbingers stays almost motionless and worse, my thoughts are in shambles to per her request. Am i summoned? Am not possibly having the same scenario of being slain by a god, twice, am i?
