After the song ended, Jennie was more than satisfied with what she heard. This time… Jennie found a precious gem.
‘His pitch and falsetto are perfect’-Jennie
Jennie: That was an amazing performance. Should we move on to another song? Is there any song you’re confident with?
Woo Jin: Yes! I’m fine with anything! Please let me sing!
‘This kid sure loves to sing, huh’ -jennie
After that, Woo Jin started to sing another song while Jennie was just enjoying the music.
For Jennie, Woo Jin was just like a Pandora’s Box. He keeps tempting her to open the box to check what’s hiding inside. Woo Jin was that mysterious for her.
And whatever inside of that box, Jennie will surely going to open it every time.

After Woo Jin’s little performance, Jennie guide him back to her office and gave him a contract.
She doesn’t want to let Woo Jin go anymore. Although idol groups are in demand right now because of BTS, but with his talent, even with him being a solo artist, Woo Jin can still reach far and high.
Meanwhile the CEO left first to attend an important meeting.
Jennie: Here…*Gives the contract paper* sign it.
Woo Jin look at the contract paper on his hands and look back at Jennie.
Woo Jin: Isn’t this a bit too fast, Director? I’m not complaining or anything but this is the first time I witnessed something like this. I just passed the audition a moment ago and I can already sign a contract?
Jennie understood what Woo Jin meant based on his reaction. It was really weird for a participant who just passed the audition a moment ago to receive a contract.
Having this contract means Woo Jin was now considered as a YG artist and was going to debut soon. This was very fast for Woo Jin and Jennie understand that.
But she believes that Woo Jin was now ready for this. And besides, Jennie was there to guide him along the way.
Jennie: I don’t see any reason to hold you back any longer. You have long surpassed the level of a trainee so it’s just gonna be a waste of time for us if you continue being a trainee for a couple more years.
Nodding his head as a sign of approval, Woo Jin looks back at the contract again.
Woo Jin: Um… I’ll read through the contract first.
Jennie: Sure, go ahead. But I bet there are no companies that care for it’s employees as much as us.
Woo Jin look at Jennie and notice that overwhelming confidence in her eyes.
‘Just what happened before? How did she becomes the Director? Is it really because of the butterfly effect that I cause? ‘
Noticing the confusion of Woo Jin, the system decided to do it’s job and input a lot of information Woo Jin needed at the moment.
Feeling a sudden surge of information, Woo Jin got a bit dizzy and confuse.
‘The system can do that?!’
[The system can assist the host in some ways so long as it won’t affect your reality]
Releasing a sigh of relief, Woo Jin finally knows very well the reason of Jennie’s confidence.
Woo Jin knows about the dark past of YG entertainment as a man came from the future. But according to the system’s information, with Jennie and her father, the current CEO’s help, leadership, and influence, the company gain back its reputation and is now considered as one of the best entertainment companies in whole South Korea. So the fall of YG entertainment will not gonna happen, two years from now.
In other words, with Jennie by his side, he doesn’t need to worry about being mistreated.
Jennie: You may look at JYPE or SM. They might be a big companies but they don’t bother with their worker’s welfare. It may sound arrogant but with me here, there will be no agencies as upright, honorable, and ethical as YG. I’m not joking.
After reading the contract paper, Woo Jin didn’t saw any parts on the contract that will go against labor rights and employment laws.
So Woo Jin believes that there will be no problem to sign the contract.
‘*sigh* the past that I used to know changed so much’
After signing it, Woo Jin passed the contract paper to Jennie which she gladly took and offers her hand for a shake.
Jennie: Welcome, Woo Jin. With this, you are now part of YG entertainment. *smiles*
Woo Jin smiles back at her and took her hand and give it a shake.
Jennie: Now, just as this contract says, the employment period is three years. This is very short compared to other agencies. Plus, our welfare system is good.
Based on Woo Jin’s knowledge, the idol contact was usually around 5-7 years which is a long time. It may look good on the outside but it’s actually not. If you don’t like how the company treats you, you need to either ignore the contract by paying the penalty or you will wait until 7 years passed.
So Woo Jin’s contract of 3 years was perfect for him. If he doesn’t like the company, he can just wait for 3 years and if he likes to stay, he can just renew his contract.
Woo Jin: Then I’ll be in your care from now on. Thank you for your guidance, Director. *bows*
Jennie: Jeez, no need to be so formal.
After signing the contract, Jennie decided to fully analyze Woo Jin’s talent and for that… she needs him to stay for a little bit longer.
Jennie: I’m sorry to say this since we barely just sign the contract but, shall we return to the studio?
Jennie ask that made Woo Jin confuse. Since they finally signed the contract, Woo Jin was expecting a dismissal from the director. He can’t wait to tell this news to his family but unexpectedly, Jennie wanted him to accompany her to the Recording Studio once again.
Jennie: Since you’re a new artist, I need to have a better understanding on your talents and skills.
After the explanation, the both of them started making their way back to the Recording Studio.
Of course before that, Jennie decided to introduce Woo Jin to the casting team.
Jennie: Everyone, here is our new artist, Jung Woo Jin. Please give him a warm welcome.
Inside the casting room, a lot of staffs look at Woo Jin after Jennie introduced him to them.
And since a lot of them was already used to seeing handsome and gorgeous artists, Woo Jin’s visual didn’t came as shocking for them.
But still, with Woo Jin’s 27% appearance, people can’t deny that his visuals was one of the best in the company.
After the greetings, the two of them continues their way to the recording studio.
And just like earlier, Jennie made Woo Jin enters the live room where vocalist and instrumentals perform. Meanwhile, Jennie stays inside the control room to operate the music.
Jennie: I saw your trainee application before, and it was written in there that you can rap as well. I’d like to see that. Is there any rap songs you like?
Woo Jin thinks for a second, searching for a song that he can use not only to impress the director but also to challenge himself.
Woo Jin: Yes. I will sing, Lose Yourself by Eminem.
‘It’s time to challenge the song of the Rap God!’
