Eunchae
My head shot into the direction the voice came from, still a little shook up from the weird phone call. I was greeted with the sight of a worried Chaewon approaching me.
“Eunchae I searched everywhere for you! When did you arrive?”, she gave me a short hug before looking into my eyes.
“Huh? Oh just like fifteen minutes ago.”, I exclaimed trying to smile, even though I didn’t really know how to feel. The whole thing with F4, the cafeteria scene and the sudden phone call from the unknown were giving me a slight headache, being not used to so much chaos in my life.
“Why aren’t you with F4? Did something happen? I told them to wait for you!”, she got curious as slight anger and annoyance took over her, thinking the boys didn’t fulfill their task about looking for me.
“No I was with them a few minutes ago but I wanted to search for you!”, I decided not to tell her about the recent events to not worry her more and just go on with my day, thinking about it later.
She nodded, not really satisfied with my answer and shook up face, but shrugging it off and heading towards class with me, as the bell already rang.
I sighed as the incident wouldn’t leave my mind and I couldn’t focus on the lessons due to it. It was like those were completely different people standing in the cafeteria and watching Thyme embarrass those two girls like that. I knew that the Paramaanantra heir was very well able to bully people with his ignorant behavior, but seeing the other three just watching him with such cold faces made me feel uneasy and rethink my decision of befriending them.
Lessons soon ended and I quickly headed towards the exit with Chaewon, not so keen on meeting the four popular boys again. My best friend, who didn’t question my behavior yet seemed a little confused by it, followed me outside but went towards her own car as she still had plans for the afternoon.
“Hey Eunchae. Why are you going so soon?”
My body stiffened as Kavin and Ren suddenly appeared out of nowhere and questioned my quick attempt to leave. Trying to think of a sudden excuse, Mj and Thyme joined us too, the latter glaring daggers at me.
“I still have plans, bye!”, I waved goodbye to them and rushed to my driver, who had just arrived and was ready to take me back home.
“Please take me to the flower shop before heading home.”, taking a seat in the luxurious car, I turned to Dave, my driver, and informed him about the destination I wanted to go to. Receiving a nod from him, I leaned back in my seat, observing my environment on our way.
I knew I somehow had to warn Gorya about Thyme’s plans to save her from getting humiliated again. The girl really was weird sometimes especially when eyeing my clothing, but I knew deep down she was a sweet soul and probably not used to someone of our school talking to her. I knew she was a scholarship student, it was no secret since this morning, everyone in school talking about the black haired.
Maybe, just maybe I could also get her to be my friend. Both she and the other girl from the flower shop were really pretty and seemed kind and fun people to hang out with. But I knew F4 wouldn’t approve that after the incident in the cafeteria that morning. They already seemed like they wouldn’t leave me alone anymore for whatever reason, even though Thyme still continued to glare daggers at me every time we met. Something told me though the Paramaanantra woman had her hands in the friendship between F4, Chaewon and me. Why would the have treated me so different from the other students, if not someone told them to act that way?
Stepping out of the expensive car, I headed towards the entrance of the cute and small flower shop. Opening the door a sweet flavor of Roses already filled my noise, making a smile appear on my lips.
“Hello! How can we help you?”, the light brown haired girl stepped up to me, flashing me a friendly smile and slightly bowing.
“Hello! Is Gorya here? I would like to talk to her.”, I mustered the whole room, no one else in sight than the both of us.
“Oh, yes she is in the back. I’ll tell her to come real quick.”, she turned around and stepped through into another, probably where Gorya was.
Taking a few steps around the shops and observing all the flowers, I thought about taking some home too and giving them to my family members. I knew all of them would be home later, as mom and Chalita told me so, so it wouldn’t hurt to bring them small gifts.
“Eunchae? What are you doing here?”, Gorya stepped out of the room the other girl had disappeared into before, making me turn around.
“Hi Gorya! Actually, we have to talk.”, I flashed her a small smile, before indicating her to follow me out of the shop, which she hesitantly did.
“What do you want to talk about?”, she furrowed her eyebrows, curious what was so important that I visited her at the flower shop.
I took a deep breath and fiddled with my hands, searching for the right words, realizing that I really should’ve prepared myself for this conversation. We both sat in silence, me trying to say something for a few times, but no words leaving. A sigh left my mouth, not knowing why I was so nervous and hesitant all of a sudden, even though I had been so determined to warn her before.
“Eunchae? Spit it out. I’m sure it won’t be too bad, right?”, Gorya got nervous too, seeing me so anxious about something.
Another sigh could be heard from my side as I lifted up my head, locking eye contact with the black haired.
“F4 are going to give you the red card.”
