Unfortunately for Aidan, she had to wake up half an hour later after I finally finished with her. The whole way back, Aidan was complaining about being tired.
“You are my Sergeant, why didn’t you consider what’s good for me before crippling me?” Aidan accused stopping for a second.
“Fuck yes!! Please don’t stop! Harder Sergeant harder!” I mimicked her tone with a serious face on.
“I don’t sound like that” Her cheeks reddened.
“We can ask the animals of the forest, they sure heard you” I chuckled at how red her neck and ears became.
“I’m not usually that loud”
That made me stop walking. The idea of someone else pleasuring Aidan messed me up.
“When was the last time you had sex?. You were quite sensitive”
“That’s because it was you. I have never… uh… been like…that. Needy and all you know” Aidan rubbed the back of her head.
“What are you usually like?”
“I honestly have no idea, my head is still cloudy from…well what we did. I kinda feel like I am high” Aidan giggled avoiding looking in my direction.
“Are you sore?. I can give you a sick pass” I seriously cared about Aidan now more than ever. I grabbed her chin to redirect her eyes to me.
“Yes, please. I just need some rest.” Aidan softly agreed.
“Then you can go to the bays when we arrive.” I stroked the side of her face before placing a gentle raw kiss on her pink lips. She visibly calmed down.
“I don’t want to be that type of person but umm does this mean anything?. To you I mean…I just, I’m not sure if uh the sex was something you did because we got caught up or if it’s more” Aidan was so soft around me. So adorably open.
“I want you. Our intimacy was more than just sex and I hope you know that you are mine now” I wrapped my arms around her waist protectively.
“Yours…” Aidan snuggled into me holding on with closed eyes.
“That’s right. We can discuss this later. We need to keep moving”
“Since I’m your baby now, can you…”
“No, babygirl you have legs” I pushed her off and we continued with our journey to the top.
“I do but whose fault is it that I can barely feel them?”
“I am not sure why you are whining so much. I didn’t even spend the whole night fucking you”
“You are not the one who had a gun buried in you so don’t undermine my pain”
“I have a bag on my back Aidan. I can’t carry both you and the bag” I sighed in defeat.
“Fine”
Aidan remained quiet the whole way back to the camp. I heard her mumbling something about how I chose a bag over her. Which was crazy because she knew the equipment was property of the camp.
I made sure she got to her bay then wrote her a sick pass. Maybe she was cranky because I tired her out.
Through the whole day, training was extra hard. I was making it my mission to get my trainees as better as they could be. Then I got Aidan some dinner as an excuse to see my baby.
Unfortunately there were other trainees in the bay. I walked past the door of the bay deciding to just join other instructors since it had been a while. On my way there I saw Agent Tyson and Senior Shepherd talking.
They seemed to know each other from the tone they were using. I continued to walk away before they noticed me but I was going to get to the bottom of what was happening.
Usually I mind my own business, Aidan was my business and whatever games these people were playing. Aidan was not about to get burned in the process. Being sent on suicide missions?. Hell no.
“Sergeant Chase, it’s a pleasure to see you”
“Good evening Percy. How have you been?” I sat down next to him glancing at the TV that had a football game playing.
“Old age is kicking up on me” Percy sipped from his beer.
“You are not even sixty yet. Maybe you just need a change of environment”
“Yeah I definitely do. I heard you are the trainer on spotlight” Percy suddenly changed the topic looking around as if to check if someone was listening to us.
“Uh I was not aware of that”
“Look, uh… You need to watch your back Chase. Words go around and… someone wants to remove you from the picture before graduation.” He whispered to me eyes up on the TV.
I understood what he meant. I was in the way of whatever these people were doing. They saw me as a threat.
“You should rest that back old man. I will see you around” I stood up and saw other instructors and guards sneaking eyes on me.
They were all part of what was happening. If money was involved, these people were involved. They were just low paid instructors, of course they would take dirty money.
I went back to my cabin and decided to get to the bottom of this. I needed to know what was going on before making any moves. So I dressed up in my military pants and a vest then placed the items I needed in my pants.
I waited an hour then left my cabin. I knew where I was going. The trees behind the cabin those Agents were staying in. I didn’t go straight up. I used a round route to get there.
I settled in one of the branches where nobody could see me then I waited for something to happen. I didn’t know what I was hoping to see.
Only 45 minutes of waiting, Agent Tyson and someone in the same uniform as her walked towards the cabin chatting away. Then Agent Tyson got a call and excused herself from her companion.
She waited until the other agent walked in the cabin then she moved towards the trees to answer her call. I listened in attentively.
“Yes, Sir we have made progress. There are 250 trainees on camp all graduating in 9 days”
Then there was muttering from the caller.
“Nobody knows about this. There won’t be any evidence that they trained here sir. Shepherd took care of that.”
….
“The military soldier?. No we got her under control. She is under the impression that I’m here to investigate what happened. No other email has been sent from her phone Sir”
…
“They attacked boss’s home? How many security men were killed?”
…
“I understand Sir. Just 9 days left. The soldier’s trainees might be his best chance of survival. I watched them train today and they are way better than most of your men. Maybe not completely strong enough to go against trained assassins but they have a better chance than most”
…
“Yes, sir I will do so”
Then the call ended.
I had a little bit of understanding what was happening. Agent Tyson looked around for a minute then walked away.
So whoever the person she was talking to was, he was not the man they were trying to protect. The man they were trying to protect pissed off someone who hired trained assassins to go after the man.
Then they also hacked my phone which meant even if I reached out to the FBI or CIA or CID. They would never get my email and I will probably be dead.
As much as I wanted to give justice, my priorities shifted. This was not Aidan’s fight and definitely not my Trainees fight. If this man was innocent, the army would be protecting him. The police too.
And what bugged me was knowing he could hire trained assassins or gangs to protect him. Why wasn’t he doing that?.
I had more questions than answers but I knew where I would get my answers.
My mind created the perfect plan.
