“So… nothing?”

Arlo sighed. “Yeah. Nothing.”

My eyes narrowed. “Surely we’re creative enough to come up with a counter.”

Colten hummed a little, glancing over his shoulder as he watched the others leave. “We could just leave them to do whatever,” He shrugged, and Arlo and I both looked at him. “What?”

Arlo rolled his eyes. “Alright. Well- we know they’re going to try and make us say we love them-” He began, before Colten cut him off.

“Is that really that bad?” he countered, and I pinched the bridge of my nose.

“That’s not something either Arlo or I would ever say on a daily basis. And we don’t intend to start saying it now.”

Colten shuffled his feet a little. “Fine then. Now what?”

My foot tapped against the floor, and I let my mind wander, before feeling Arlo’s hand clamp down on my thigh. “Stop.” He murmured, and I raised an eyebrow.

“What?”

“Your leg. Its distracting me- bouncing up and down like that.”

“Wha- okay then. Whatever.” I muttered, still lost a little.

We all sat on the couch in silence a while, each trying to come up with some sort of counter, before Arlo’s grip tightening broke my thoughts. My eyes narrowed, before I looked down to see my foot bouncing even faster.

I bit my tongue as I looked around the room, eyes scanning the walls as if they’d give me a clue.

“Hey uh-“

Arlo and I’s eyes snapped towards Colten as he interrupted our silence. “We could just… play along? You know, pretend to almost be saying we love them. But I don’t know, turn it against them? Have them say it to us first? And then instead of them fucking us against the counter…” he trailed off, and Arlo snapped his fingers.

“Alright. Sure. Perfect. Nice Colten. Uh- good job.” He exclaimed, and Colten smiled a little.

“So… that’s it?”

Arlo nodded. “Yep.”

“…right.”

We all went quiet. The silence wasn’t uncomfortable, just… unnecessary. “What now?” Colten enquired, and I shrugged a little, eyes blank.

“We wait for them to start I guess.” I mumbled, before leaning back into the couch, Arlo’s following my lead. The couch dipped a little as Colten moved closer, and I hummed when I felt him press into me.

Arlo dimmed the lights a little, and I tilted my head back, feeling the cool air rush around my face. I embraced the silence. I usually did. It was always a welcoming feeling. And we sat there. Left alone to our thoughts and ourselves.

My mind drifted off as I blinked a little, and I let my fingers twist around with each other in my lap. The silence continued, and soon the steady patter of rain began outside. I didn’t bother looking over, instead gazed at the darkening walls as the sun faded out.

The rain outside became a dull, monotonous noise, and we all just sat there, welcoming the quiet, peaceful atmosphere, and thinking to ourselves. I didn’t need to glance around to know Arlo and Colten would just be spaced out, minds elsewhere, before I felt a gaze on me.

I raised my eyebrows, turning my head to look at the door, before noticing the heavy weight now leaning on my shoulders. A small smile crossed my face as I glanced down at Arlo and Colten, who’s eyes were screwed up shut, heads perched on my shoulders. “They look so cute,” A voice mumbled, and I studied the doorway, before seeing Lo wander through.

“Yeah.” I hummed.

Lo smiled a little, before moving over, and placing himself in my lap. I tilted my head back again, not bothering to speak, and instead listening to the rain again. It was silent again, and it was calm. I could feel Milo relax into me as the room grew darker, and I focused on the steady pattern of his breathing, and the way his slim fingers traced the lines on my legs.

“You’re so pretty.” I whispered, and he made a small noise of acknowledgement.

“Why’d they go to sleep so quickly?” He asked softly, and I glanced down at him, an amused smile on my face.

“Look at us. Its dark. Its quiet. Its warm. Who wouldn’t?”

Lo looked at me, before nodding a little. “Did I stop you from sleeping?” He murmured, eyes widening a little, and I let out a small exhale. “No. You didn’t.”

He hummed a little, before melting into me again. I looked down at him again as a thought crossed my mind. “Lo, love, what do I do when they wake up?” I mumbled, glancing away a little to hide the soft blush dusting my cheeks.

He glanced curiously up at me. “You don’t know?”

I glowered at the wall behind me, and he chuckled at my blush. “No. I… I don’t. I’ve never had something like this.” I murmured, and he smiled softly, eyes growing warm.

“That’s okay. Just… just lie there. Be there when they wake up. Go to sleep with them. That’s the sort of thing they’d expect from you.”

“Expect from me?”

He hummed a little. “Yeah. You’re like that person that doesn’t need to comfort someone. Just needs to sit there. And be there. That’s you.”

I nodded a little, once more drowning myself in the patter of the rain, and how the shadows were now growing in the room. “You’ve finished your planning then.” He murmured, and my gaze flicked down to him.

“Yeah.” I hummed, and he yawned.

Chuckling a little, I yawned myself. “Why don’t we sleep darling?”

He gave me a grateful look, followed by a tired nod. “You sure?” He mumbled, and I patted his head, before pushing it into my chest.

“I’m sure.” I whispered, planting a kiss in his hair, before watching as he hummed lowly, and closed his eyes.

I sighed a little in contentment, gazing at his relaxed face. I felt the warm, fluttery feeling come back, and I placed another kiss on his head before falling back into silence. My hands now traced his fingers, and I hummed a little to myself as the rain grew heavier.

Glancing out the window, I watched as the clouds piled up slowly, and the dark greens of the garden, and the soft lights of the town blurred together. The room grew dim, and I blinked sleepily, as the boys’ body warmth spread to me.

Hours seemed to flow by, and I found myself closing my eyes a little, resting my head on the back of the couch as I felt content. Everything felt warm, welcoming, calming. Like it was meant to be.

The steady rhythm of Lo’s breathing matched mine, and I found myself gazing at the wall across from us all, the shadows of the rain fading in and out. I yawned a little, before glancing down at Milo. His face was  so calmed, and his hair was brushed out of his eyes as he tucked his face into my chest, mumbling a little.

A small smile spread over my face.

Cute.

“Aww. He’s smiling.”

My eyes narrowed, my gaze whipping over to the door where Ever and Cyrus stood, almost falling over each other and they scrambled into the room. “Can we-“

I raised my eyebrows at their panted breathing. My gaze flickered over their tired stance, and how the blush coating their cheeks only added to the dark pink marks lining both of their throats. Ever noticed my gaze.

“Shush. Not a word.” He demanded sternly, and I chuckled a little.

“Alright, alright. Yes, you can join.”

Cyrus led out a tired sigh, before clambering onto Arlo side, Ever moving over to Colten’s side. “You both look a little tired,” I mused, and Ever glared at me.

“Not. A word.” He repeated, and I shook my head in amusement.

I glanced over to Cyrus as he fell silent, my gaze growing fond as I watched him steady out his breathing, eyes already snapped shut. His hands were wrapped tightly around Arlo’s arm, barely managing to make it all the way across, and his legs were pressed up right up to him. I smiled a little at the sight.

“Aren’t they all so cute?” I murmured, closing my eyes with a content sigh.

When I didn’t hear a response, I glanced back over to Ever, eyebrows furrowed, before chuckling as I saw him wrapping himself over Colten. I yawned a little as I felt my eyes grow heavy, and I pulled Milo in tighter, as the patter of the rain grew louder.

I welcomed the sound, and I found myself beginning to drift off as I blinked sleepily, letting out a small, fond exhale. My mind was filled with images of all the boys, and their smiling faces. I found myself tightening my grip on Milo, and I could barely hold the smile off my face as I thought of the guys.

I definitely loved them.
