By the time Izuku was six years old, he could not adjust to elementary school very well. He had no friends he could connect to, he was having trouble, and he was trying to keep that down until he met someone that would change that. It The first time Izuku met Shinsou Hitoshi; it had been his first week of first grade. He was six, alone, and he thought no one would ever be on his side.
Shouta had gotten a call in Recently telling him that they had found his biological child. He wasn’t in the best shape. His mother had been rather neglectful of the purple-haired boy, leaving him alone in a small cramped, dirty apartment. They had found her unfit to take care of a child, and so now Shouta had full custody. The raven-haired male had thought his son would react badly to the news that he would have a new brother, though the green-haired boy responded oppositely.
“A brother? I have a big brother?” He asked. The boy was a couple of months older than him, having been born on July 1, whereas Izuku I was born on the 15th, so technically he was his big brother though it wasn’t an age difference or anything.
The green-haired boy always wanted a sibling because a sibling had to play with you. They had to like you even if you weren’t as good at sports and games all of the other kids would play.
“yes, and he’s going to come live with us. See, daddy had another baby, but he wasn’t allowed to come here for a while, so you do have a brother, and he is going to be here now, and I know you might be a little bit upset, but we love you just as much as we love him and you are always going to be our baby” Hizashi says.
“I have a big brother!” He says again, smiling with pure joy in his eyes, looking like a kid on Christmas. “when is he coming? Can we share a room, does he like all might?!” He asked excitedly, kind of forgetting how to breathe for a couple of moments.
“well, your daddy is on his way to go get him from the agency, and yes, you are going to have to share a room since we don’t have an extra one; I’m not sure if he likes the same heroes as you do, but I don’t want you to scare him with all of your information on the heroes, “he says, and izuku nodded his head.
Soon enough, as if they had called the devil, the black-haired boy appeared, he opened the door, and he walked in, a short boy, though he was at least a couple of centimeters taller than the green-haired boy, walked in behind the man. He was looking down at his shoes; eye contact was not a thing he wanted to do. He had scruffy purple hair that looked like it hadn’t been washed in weeks, he had bruises on his face and arms, and he looked far too skinny.
Izuku took a cautious step forward, and he looked at the boy. The older boy still wouldn’t look at him in the eye, though. He passed for a couple of seconds before looking back up at Hizashi for help. He wasn’t sure what to do.
“Hello, Hitoshi, it’s nice to meet you,” Hizahsi says. The small boy only nodded slightly.
Ever since the boy found out what his quirk was, his mother had done everything to keep him from the outside world, calling him a villain and saying it would be bad for the earth if he ever got out; his quirk was brainwashing, in the woman’s mind, it was an evil power that deserved nothing but being called villainess.
“Why don’t I show you to your room? You’re going to have to share with Izuku here, “Shouta says, and the small boy nodded as he followed the man up the stairs to Izuku’s room.
“Izuku… it’s going to be really hard for Hitoshi to open up, so I want you to help him at school and introduce him to all of your friends, make sure to watch out for him, okay? Because of his power, people might see him differently, so it’s up to you to protect him and show him that you are there for him even if he doesn’t want to play right away,” the blond says, “can you do that? for me, baby boy?” He asks, and izuku nodded.
The first couple of days were hard, and the purple-haired boy wanted nothing to do with his new brother. He would sit alone all day, and when he went to school, he would stay in the corner and wouldn’t even talk to the boy; it wasn’t any different from anyone else, though the only difference between his new brother and everybody else at school as he didn’t have any friends either.
One night Izuku sat in bed looking up at the ceiling; his legs hurt; he had been walking all day since school it had been a field trip, and they had to walk all day; he didn’t have a wheelchair for school since they usually had break periods where he could ist, but this was differnt.
” Why don’t you tell anyone about the pain?” the purple-haired boy asks. The boy had not said one word since they met, so this was new. Izuku sighed, and he looks at the boy before thinking about how to respond to a question like that. He didn’t want to worry his two dads because they were already stressed enough? Maybe he just felt like if he told them, he would be a bother.
” it’s not that bad big brother,” he says as he looks at him and he smiled ” thank you for worrying about me,” he says, and he heard a sigh come from the boy who spoke after a short pause.
” stop calling me your big brother; we aren’t family,” he says, ” and they aren’t my dad’s; why would you even want to consider me as part of this family? I’m a villain; that’s what my mom said,” he says, and Izuku shot up standing up slowly, and he walks to the boy scooting him over and getting in bed with him.
” I don’t think you have a bad quirk, I think you will be amazing hero’s because you can stop people from doing bad things,” he says ” like daddy when I try and sneak sweets before dinner, his voice scares me so much I run to my room” he giggled as he looks at him. ” papa said you were my big brother…I don’t have any other friends at school right now, and…you just gotta like me, Hitoshi,” he says. The boy didn’t speak, he just turned around to face away from him, but he swore he heard a small amount of crying from the boy.
Two days had passed, and they were standing on the playground; some little boy with orange hair came up behind Izuku and pushed him down. Izuku always had trouble getting up since it was hard for him to bend his knees. He heard some laughing as he tried to stand up, and the kid took his AllMight toy.
” awe, look at Deku trying to get up! He looks like a baby deer! My dad says people kill deer!” the boy says as he held the toy, and he grinned ” I think ill keep this,” he says, and Izuku felt his eyes well up with tears as he looks at the boy in front of him.
” hey!” he heard
” What!” then the boy’s eyes went blank. Izuku looked over to see shinsou walking behind him, and he glared.
” give my brother his toy back and go away,” he says, and just like that, Izuku was now being helped up by the boy with his AllMight figure in hand. ” are you okay?” he asks as he looks at him and Izuku nodded his head.
you called me your brother,” he says, smiling brightly, and he hugged him. ” Thank you!” he says.
” it’s no big deal….” he says as he pats his shoulder. ” its what brothers do”
