Cassandra covered her arms over her chest in mild disgust and self-shame, the embarrassment of her previous actions from the night before catching up to her.Â
After her revelation of the familiar feelings for the blonde crawling back to the surface the night of the school lock-in, she thought that if she slept her way past the feelings, that they’d somehow dissolve into the back of her mind.Â
Oh, how wrong she was. Now, she just felt extra guilt onto the fact that she spent her evening face-first in Noel’s bed, wishing the unwelcomed, hard hands and masculine features were one of soft, freshly manicured fingers.Â
She shivered slightly, remembering all the harsh words he called her that night, as if it was supposed to turn her on.
“Fuck yeah, take it you dumb slut.”
“You little bitch, I knew you’d want me again.”
“Bet you wished daddy would cum inside of you, huh?”
The brunette scrunched her face up, extremely nauseated with her inexcusable moments, she found it quite sickening that he practically begged her to call him “daddy”, the whole thing threw her completely off guard and regretful.Â
She knew the second he asked that, that she wanted to go straight home, wishing to be reeling in thoughts of the blonde rather than spurring out “sexy” words that felt nothing of the sort. Especially towards a man she couldn’t give a damn about.Â
Save to say, next time, Cassandra will be heading off to a club or her bedroom, before hooking up with Noel again.Â
“Okay, I need to ask you guys something and I need you to be totally honest with me.” The blonde who had been in Cassandra’s mind spoke up, bringing the Montgomery out of her head.
“Of course.” her friends mumbled in agreement, patiently waiting for the girl to continue. Hanna turned her head to the right and then slowly to the left, “Is this side of my face fatter than this side?”
The woman squinted their eyes and scanned her face, “No…” they denied, though it seemed nothing of the truth.Â
Hanna softly gasped and pulled both her palms over her face, squeezing her hands against her cheeks.Â
“I think it looks cute, plus, no one can even notice.” Cassandra reassured, giving the Marin daughter a small grin. Hanna looked down and smiled, ignoring the flustered expression she gave her. She muttered a thanks in gratitude and closed her locker.Â
Aria stared straight past Hanna and formed her lips into a thin line, “Is that Ian?”
“Yeah. I hear he’s the new field hockey coach.” Emily explained.Â
“Does Melissa know she’s back?” Aria whispered, watching as he talked to some of the varsity boys on his team. “I don’t know.” Spencer shrugged, seemingly more interested in him than the other girls.Â
A certain short-sized brunette walked up to the group with a smirk. “First one’s for my bestie and one for each of you, my bestie’s other friends.” Mona said, handing them all a black and white cow printed card, neatly wrapped in a bright yellow bow.Â
“Oh, uh, what’s this?” Aria asked, ignoring the passive aggressive tone from the girl. “Nothing. Only an invitation to the most awesome birthday party ever. Camp Mona.” she raised her eyebrows in glee, expecting them to be more excited.Â
“Camp Mona?”
Cassandra chuckled to herself as she read the card. It was, least to say, probably one of the tackiest cards she’s received, not including all of Noel’s personal made letters to his party. The font of the message was big and bulky sticking out in your face like a sore thumb and the bow was also oversized, taking up more than half of the card.Â
“Don’t let the camping part scare you. It’s glamping, not camping. ‘M’ is for Mona and massages, not mosquitoes. Cassandra, you look like you have something to say.” the brunette eyed the blue-eyed girl, almost trying to intimidate her.Â
“Well, my lovely Mona Lisa, I for once am holding back my well-structured insults in spite of your birthday coming up. Consider this me waving the white flag, for now.” She replied, giggling when Mona scoffed and walked over to her other friends.Â
“Why is Mona inviting us to her birthday party?” Spencer asked with a semi-shocked face, knowing she had rarely spoken with the girl previously. “She knows that I’m friends with you guys again and she’s trying to reach out to you. She’s trying to be nice. So, are you gonna go?” Hanna asked.
Spencer held back a large breath, “I-I know she’s your friend-“
“Yeah, but I’m gonna have to pass this, I’ve got this-” Aria cut of Spencer, pretending to be deep in thought. “-I got a lot of stuff to do this weekend.” the Hastings finished for them, reading messages from her phone that were from days ago, feigning to be busy.Â
“Me too.”
Their phones started to beep and ring, and assuming it wasn’t from their parents all at once, they flipped open their phone and read the anonymous message.
“Camp Mona’s a scavenger hunt and I’m the prize. Come and find me, bitches. -A” Cassandra read aloud, scowling and looking around for anyone that deemed to be a suspect. Yet again, her and her friends were being played with like little American girl dolls she played with as a child.Â

“It’s a bummer Camp Mona’s a girl’s only trip, I was hoping to see you this weekend.” Noel smirked, resting his arm around Cassandra’s shoulder and the girl had to resist the urge to pull it off.Â
“Yeah, well, there’s Sunday. We could….” she trailed off, not knowing what normal ‘couple-like’ activities to do, considering the fact that they had mainly done sexual stuff.Â
“Lay around being lazy together watching old movies all day?” he offered, giving her his signature award winning grin, hopefully winning her over. Cassandra blushed, surprised that he wanted to do something besides sex.Â
She had felt like he only wanted to be with her just because he’s a horny teenage boy, but she wouldn’t deny his suggestion. Doing almost anything to get the blonde off of her mind would do just fine.Â
“Sounds like a plan.” she confirmed, leaning up and pecking him on the lips. “Then it’s a date.” he said, playfully nipping her neck. “Wanna walk?” she asked, holding up her hand. “I would, but me and the bro’s have got to practice football. See you later?” he denied with puppy eyes.Â
Cassandra nodded and he removed his arm and kissed her forehead. She sighed at his friends whooping and cheering for him on the other side of the cafeteria and she strutted off, before being stopped by a certain blonde.Â
“Really? You guy’s keep on crawling back to each other, it’s making me sick to my stomach.” Hanna hissed, linking arms with Cassandra and walking towards Spencer and Emily. “He’s funny and smart and he likes to watch old movies, can’t you let me be happy?” she retorted.Â
Hanna harshly bit down on her tongue, attempting to calm her beating heart and storm raging inside her chest. “You must really love him.” she frowned, clicking her tongue to the roof of her mouth.Â
“Yeah. I do.” she lied, yanking her hand away from the blonde when she felt the grip on her arm tighten.Â
They reached the other girls, taking note of their worried expressions. “What could they have found?”
“I don’t know.”
Her sister came up to them and gave them a confused look, “What’s going on?”
“The cops are here. I heard they found something of Alison’s.” Spencer unraveled.Â
“Spencer Hastings, Aria and Cassandra Montgomery, Emily Fields and Hanna Marin. Please come to the office.” A voice on the speaker announced, demanding their presence.Â
“Of course.” she stated, leading to the five of them waiting in the principal’s room, anxiously bouncing their feet up and down.Â
A new voice caught them of guard, “Sorry to keep you waiting. I’m Agent Cooper.” she handed Spencer a small slip of paper and the girl read it with furrowed brows, “FBI?” she exclaimed, sharing glances with the others.Â
The Agent sat on the wooden desk, viewing over the friend group. “This is my partner, Agent Randall and we’re here because the bureau was asked by the local authorities to assist in the investigation of Alison Dilaurentis’ murder.”
Agent Cooper played with the item on the desk before continuing, “I want to show you something that was sent to the Rosewood Police Department by an anonymous source. The family’s given me permission to show it to the five of you.”
She held up the remote and pressed play.Â
“Want to see more? I know you want to.” Alison’s voice rang through the television, she was wrapped up in an olive-green pullover, clearly not hers, and a yellow tank top. “If the girls knew I was seeing you, oh, my God, they would not stop talking about it. I wish they were more mature, but…“
The forgotten voice spoke, “We don’t have a lot of time. I have to get back before they wake up. I know you wanna kiss me.“
Then, the Agent clicked the pause button and the video ended. “Is there, uh, anything you can tell me about what you see?”
She rewinds the video, letting the girls take another look at the screen. “They’re at the kissing rock.” Emily pointed out, “I-it’s in the woods behind the lake.”
“I think this was taken the night Alison disappeared. She was wearing that yellow top.” Cassandra explained. “That’s not her sweater.”
“Are you sure?”
Hanna threw her hands up, “Ask me what’s in each one of our closets and I’ll give you an itemized list. I know clothes.”
Spencer gulped and rested her hands on top of Cassandra’s shaky hands that started to pick at the skin of her fingers. “I think she’s talking to an older boy.”
“So-called, uh, mystery boyfriend.” Agent Cooper summed up, replaying the video. “Alison didn’t want us to know who he was.”Â
The Agent pulled her eyebrows together, “Was he an older high school boy?” Spencer stared off into the distance with a solemn look, “She only told me enough to make it a secret.”
Agent Cooper tilted her head up and sighed. “Huh. Alison liked secrets, yeah?”Â
“She thought sharing secrets kept us close.” Emily responded.Â
“They do, but secrets are made to be found out with time.”

Cassandra huffed and grabbed the edge of her, very heavy, cardboard box filled with items to bring along to this overnight camping trip she was attending. She heard laughter coming from behind her as she turned around and glared at Spencer and Hanna.Â
“If you think this is funny, you won’t be when I’m the one all cutesy while you’re both going to look like a couple of kids from boy scouts handing out popcorn.” she hissed, rolling her eyes and making way towards the back door of Spencer’s house.Â
“You know you’ll be letting all of us use it anyways, don’t try to act all bold, Andra.” Spencer replied, chuckling when the brunette quickly threw something from her box at them. They both dodged it with ease, seeing as the throw was completely off.Â
“Don’t call me that! I know you remember my dislike towards that name, Spenny.” Cassandra growled, letting Spencer be the one to turn annoyed from the old nickname.Â
Hanna, who already set her box down, returned back outside with the two whiney brunette’s and took Cassandra’s for her. “God, it’s like an old married couple arguing with you two.” she remarked, though it went unheard as the two bickered back and forth.Â
“You continuously provoke me; I don’t find your vexing personality amusing.” Spencer quipped. The other brunette scoffed and raised her sculpted brows, “I have no clue what you just said to me, so I’m choosing to ignore it.”
“Shocker.”
Cassandra hip bumped Spencer and snickered when her box flew out of her hands, everything falling out and landing on the grass.Â
“Cassandra Marie Montgomery!” the smart girl shouted, letting her stuff lay on the floor as her bigger problem seemed to be the cocky brunette howling in her face.Â
The girl ran down the driveway as Spencer started chasing her, yelling out profanities that would get her in trouble if her parents were around.Â
She dodged the Hastings and made a beeline for the tree, hiding behind it and taking prolonged deep breaths, clutching the end of her flannel as if it were going to save her from the wrath of Spencer Hastings.Â
She learned that nothing would.Â
“Gotcha!” Spencer screamed from behind Cassandra, tackling her to the ground and straddling her waist as she sat up straight. She smirked at her friend and wiggled her fingers in the air, giving a warning sign as to what was coming.Â
Cassandra widened her eyes and shook her head rapidly. “No! No-… don’t you dare!” she squealed, pressing her arms against her body to hide. Her cries went unnoticed as Spencer dove in, as though her body was a big feast, or in Spencer’s case, an exam.Â
She ran her hands throughout the girl’s body, squeezing her fingertips and letting them roam under her armpits, stomach and neck. “S-Stop it! T-This is not lady like, you creature!” Cassandra attempted to free herself, which didn’t work as Spencer’s harsh attack continued.Â
“I told you not to test me, Andra.” she replied, watching in glee as her friend was red in the face.Â
After a few minutes of torture for Cassandra, the Hastings relented and let go of her, knowing that all of the laughter was definitely making her stomach hurt. Cassandra let out a large sigh, catching her breath and scowling at Spencer.Â
“I hope you’ve learned your lesson.” was all she said before turning around and picking her stuff up and going inside.Â
What an annoyance.
Cassandra smiled fondly to herself, brushing off her jeans and walking inside with her friends.Â
“Where were you two?” Aria asked.Â
“Getting attacked on the ground by Spencer.” she replied, watching Ian and Melissa chatting it up like they were dating again.Â
“Going camping?” Melissa snarked.Â
“Looks like it, huh.”Â
Spencer followed after Melissa and gave her a few words before her older sister stormed out with Ian, leaving the teenagers behind.Â
“Since when are you mending Melissa’s relationships?” Hanna asked. “I kind of owe it to her.” Spencer shrugged, taking out the dirty camping luggage from her box and throwing it in a pile.Â
“What’s she ever done for you?” Emily questioned. “It’s more of what I did to her. I’m the reason she and Wren broke up,” Spencer shamefully clarified. “We had a moment… and Melissa saw us.”
Emily shook her head in disturbance, “A moment?”
“Yeah, it gets worse. Melissa doesn’t know this part…” she paused, “I also had a moment with Ian.”
“Shut up.” Hanna whispered in surprise. “It was early in the summer before Alison went missing. It was just one kiss, but after they broke up, we started seeing each other. I feel like the poster child for poor judgement.” Spencer unraveled.Â
“Spencer Hasting’s slutting it up with her sister’s boyfriends. Classic.” Cassandra joked, but her friends, besides Hanna, didn’t find it funny.Â
“You could have told us, Spencer.” Emily stated, deciding to not pay attention to the little jokes Hanna and Cassandra were making behind her.Â
“Really? Because Ali knew about the first kiss, and she thought it was awful.” Spencer retorted, pulling back the few strands of hair that fell out of place.Â
“We are not, Ali.” Aria said.Â
“I should not tell Melissa, right?” Spencer asked.Â
“Right.” the girls repeated at the same time.Â
The video of Alison from earlier appeared on the television and Cassandra said, “Wait, Spence, turn the TV up.”
“Authorities searched the family home earlier today and initial reports have confirmed that a bloodstain on the sweater is a match to the victims,” the voice on the tv spoke, “If you just tuned in, police have issued a warrant for the arrest of missing Rosewood teen, Toby Cavanaugh.“
Then a picture of Toby overtook the one of Alison. “He is wanted for the murder of Alison Dilaurentis.”Â
“That sweater is Toby’s!” Hanna acknowledged with a gasp. “No, Alison was not dating Toby. There’s no way that’s the guy she was talking to in the video.” Cassandra denied, but the evidence showed otherwise.Â
“Cassie, you saw the news. They have proof.” Hanna retorted.Â
“If it’s Toby’s sweater, then he has to be the boy at the kissing rock.” Spencer concluded with a frown.Â
“Is it finally over?”
“No, Toby’s been missing for weeks. It won’t be over until he’s behind bars.” Spencer said, focusing her attention on her friends.Â

“Welcome to Camp Mona!” an irritating voice screeched through Cassandra, Spencer and her sister’s ears as they all grinned. “Happy birthday.” they said and handed her three different gifts that held no importance.Â
They were simple things that they all knew she’d like. A hair straightener, a container filled with brand new makeup brushes, and two different pairs of expensive sunglasses.Â
“Thank you, I’m sure whatever it is, I’ll love it. And if not, I’ll return it!” she quipped and handed the boxes to her security guard. Spencer raised her eyebrows at the girl’s attitude but kept quiet.Â
“Swag.” she stated, handing them a big bag with sweatshirt that read, “Camp Mona” in big letters and wrapped up in pink paper.Â
“Thanks, it’s um… subtle.” Spencer said, holding up the hoodie against herself. “Okay, tour time!” Mona announced, walking forward as the ladies followed.Â
She held out her hands, “So, over here we have the massage tent, the mani-pedi area, the blow-me bar and the mini bar.” she pointed at the little stations she mentioned and saw someone eating from the food bar.Â
“Excuse me.” she muttered before stomping over there and yelling at the poor girl who was just hungry. They continued their journey around the campsite and ended up in an empty area with white sheets hovering over them, deciding this was the best spot.Â
Emily found her way to them shortly after, sitting down and explaining what just happened to her. “He came and told me stuff about Jenna and that he didn’t hurt Ali.”
“He’s lying.” Spencer deadpanned.Â
“We have to tell the police.” Aria declared. Her phone rang with the absurd ringtone that Cassandra told her to change numerous times. “It’s Hanna.” she hummed while her sister talked to the blonde and the line ended up cutting out because of the service.Â
A new beeping noise came from her phone again and Aria scooched closer to Emily, “It’s from ‘A’.”
“You found my bracelet. Now come find me. Good luck bitches.” Aria read aloud. “I think we’re supposed to go where we found Ali’s bracelet.” Spencer guessed.Â
“That was in the middle of nowhere.” Cassandra said with a pout. “Actually, it was 15 steps east of the half-point tree which is 136 steps from the main road.” Spencer examined, her intelligent brain helping them.
“You’re a freak and I love you.” Cassandra mumbled, kissing her cheek as they all got up and started walking. “Cassandra, Aria and Emily, you need to get blown.” Mona spoke, poking her head through the sheet.
“Well, we have to be here for the party, so you three go glamp and I’ll be back before it gets dark.” Spencer said, willing to risk her life to figure out who was messing with her friends.Â
“Be safe.” Cassandra uttered out, worried for her friend.Â
About an hour later Spencer turned back up, sniggering at her friend’s hairdo. “How lovely.”
“Shut up.” Cassandra rolled her eyes, her excessively puffed out hair making it look like she was a lioness. “What happens if you touch it?” Spencer asked herself, reaching out and sticking her pointer finger in Cassandra’s hair.Â
“When you’re done with your immature games, did you find anything important?” Aria questioned with a serious expression.Â
“Come here.” Spencer stated, bringing them to an area behind the tree. She clicked open a green leather box and pulled out the bracelet. “Check it out.”
Jenna’s name was written on the purple bracelet.Â
“Is Jenna telling us she’s ‘A’?” Emily gasped. “I don’t think so, there’s something else.” she pulled out a tiny slip of paper that wrote, “You’re as in the dark as Jenna, looking for me in all the wrong places.“
Cassandra hummed, “Well, if this is the wrong place then what’s the right place?”
xxx
Spencer sat next to a snoring Cassandra against the fire as the darkness of the night caught up to them. She repeated the words from earlier again and again, not caring that some blonde was staring at her like she was crazy.
“Right place… right place… wright place!” she shouted on accident, hurriedly handing the random blonde her uncooked marshmallow and tree branch and shaking the brunette next to her. “Wake up, Andra. I found the right place.” she shook her from her shoulders, hearing an unpleasant groan leave her lips.Â
Emily came up to them and chuckled at the sight.Â
“What do you want? I’m sleeping after a long day of glamping.” she hissed, glaring up at the brunette.Â
“I found the wright place! W-R-I-G-H-T.” she spelled out the correct use of wright. Emily whispered, “Wright’s playground.”Â
Cassandra finally got up and started following after her friend’s, running through the damp woods with her Camp Mona hoodie and shorts riding up her ass. Nothing like a classy outfit to go and find stalkers.Â
“I think you’re enjoying this.” Emily drawled out, the Hastings flashing her light over the wooden sign that had Wrights Playground on it.Â
Spencer grinned and pushed forward, moving bushes out of the way. Cassandra winced when she felt a thorn prick her legs, maybe she should have changed before doing this.
A squeaking noise startled them, Spencer quickly turned her flashlight around and pointed it at the culprit, the swing set.Â
Cassandra’s legs had goosebumps all over as Spencer called them over to a tree with a big heart and Alison’s name on top. The name below was hidden behind the moss growing on the branch. Spencer knocked it down with her flashlight, allowing them to see the other name that was there.Â
“Alison loves Ian?!”
Hanna texted her, “I know who A is, head to the parking lot.”
Cassandra flashed the phone to the girls, and they started running as fast as they could to meet up with the blonde, rushing past all of the dirt and mud. They reached the parking lot and shouted her name.Â
“Hanna! Hanna! We’re over here!” she caught their attention and started to meet them halfway, running toward themÂ
“Hanna, watch out!”
“Hanna look!”
And then it was black, besides the wailing and loud cries of her best friends.Â
