The tension was so high, Jeongin was sure the entire school was able to feel it. The seven of them were seated together at the lunch table and everything was fine, until Minho had taken a seat on the opposite side of Jisung. The awkwardness was oozing off of the two, eye contact was being avoided at all costs whilst five boys were very confused as to what had happened to cause this energy. Changbin obviously knowing why it was so awkward couldn’t help but watch from the side, clearly amused as he failed to hide his knowing smirk.

“So… Nice lunch we’re having, aye?” Hyunjin said as he stabbed a dumpling with his chopsticks, earning a whack over his head from the boy next to him. “Learn how to eat with manners, you cow.” Chan had snapped at him. It was playful but everyone knew he secretly ment some of it. Being the oldest, he would make sure his dongsaengs were well behaved.

“H-Hey! Don’t speak to my boyfriend like that!”

The awkwardness shifted from the left side of the table to the three boys in the center. All eyes were on Jeongin, then they would go back to Hyunjin, then back to Jeongin. It seemed as if Minho and Jisung completely forgot about their awkward stares as they became heavily invested as the shit show next to them went down.
“BOYFRIEND?????” Chan yelled, earning a few stares from the table to their right. Opting to ignore them, Changbin continued. “How do you have so much game at such a young age, Jeongin? When I was your age I was alone and desperate.”

“So, like how you are now?” Seungmin sassed, earning a glare from Changbin. “It’s ’cause I swing both ways, hyung. My market is way bigger! Maybe it’s time you expand as well.” Jeongin joked, nudging the elder. “Well you really got yourself the biggest fish in the sea, huh?” Chan smiled, winking at Hyunjin. Hyunjin laughed loudly. “His hook is big, I just got caught and now I can’t let go.”

“Two things. Can you stop before I gag and… please don’t tell me that was an innuendo involving Jeongin’s… yeah… That’s not info I want to know.” Seungmin said with a clear frown on his face. Jeongin’s face grew bright red as his boyfriend quickly came to his defense.
“Well, to get back to you… Jeongin” Changbin interrupted, trying to steer away from the conversation that was about to unfold further, “I just like pussy too much, that’s all.” Jisung, who was peacefully drinking his banana milk as he watched everything unfold, choked and snorted at Changbin’s statement. The banana milk went through his nose and started to flow down his face.
“Changbin what the fuck!” He yelped. Minho laughed as he reached into his bag, grabbing a tissue and handing it to his crush.

“Whaaaat? I ain’t lying. Wouldn’t want a dick up my ass, just being honest.”

“You know” Hyunjin spoke, “you could also be the one doing the dicking.”

“I LITERALLY CANNOT BELIEVE YOU GUYS.” Jisung whined as he pouted, his eyes finally meeting Minho’s again, a look of ‘please save me from this conversation I’m begging you’ in his eyes. The older just snickered and shook his head. Boys would be boys, or something like that.
“Guys… Sungie is a baby, please respect his innocence.” Minho joked as Changbin laughed. Jisung sighed and put his head on the table. “I can’t believe these are the types of people I befriend after being a loner for my entire high school career. Now I get to college and this is what I get?” He said to himself, Changbin and Jeongin heard and laughed. “I don’t know what you were expecting of horny male teenagers, not gonna lie.” Jeongin laughed.

“Please, you’re 18. You’re a child.” Jisung sighed.

“You’re literally 19 you toddler.” Hyunjin said, standing up for his boyfriend. Jisung could already tell those two were going to be clingy as hell. “Like you aren’t 19 yourself…” he muttered out quietly, not wanting to lose the argument but clearly having been defeated.
“Aaaaannyyywaays.” Seungmin interveined, not wanting the conversation to drag on any longer. “You all want to come to my house on Friday? Have a sleepover? My parents are our of town, my hyung will be there though.”

“That’s all good, your brother’s pretty quiet anyways I’m sure he won’t be any trouble.”

“It’d be the other way around!” Felix laughed evily, using his deep voice to make it more dramatic. All boys agreed to come and then they looked at Jisung who was the last to confirm his presence. In the past, he worked every Friday night, so the boys were expecting him to decline.
“I’ll be there.” He said with a small smile, surprising Chan, Seungmin and even Changbin a little bit. Jisung had decided he didn’t care as much about his dad’s spending problems. He wanted to have fun with his friends when he wanted to and not have a feeling of dread and anxiety over not being there to attend. He was’t sure why but he wanted to push his comfort zone a little bit. Maybe it was because of the overwhelming amount of love and support he had been receiving these past few days but for now, he chose not to dwell on the ‘why’ much longer.

“Awesome!” The bell rang as they all got up and said goodbye, walking to their seperate classes. Hyunjin and Minho walked to their class together, Hyunjin’s curiosity getting the better of him. “So, why was it so fucking awkward between you and Jisung? You’re worse than Chan and any person ever.” Minho blushed a little, shocked that it was so obvious to everyone else.

“Well… I was at his place yesterday…” Minho started, thinking about what to say next. He mentally reminded himself to not mention why he was there. “And as I was going to leave, I kinda wanted to kiss him… but I didn’t do it and I think he noticed? So yeah… I’m just not sure if he is looking for someone right now, you know? Even if he was, would that person be me? I don’t know and I don’t want to push him.”

“If I could make the noise of a keyboard smash in real life I would do that but I can’t so have this instead… Ahem, ‘AHHH THAT’S SO CUTE!’ Oh and… if Jisung really would want to date someone, who else would it be but you? Either you or Changbin and the second option is straight.” Minho shoved Hyunjin’s arm in an attempt to get him to stop. They bickered about it for the rest of their way to class and even in class, getting scolded by their teacher in the process.

Friday came around quicker than Minho had expected. He had spend the entirety of wednesday and thursday working on the project with Jisung, the two of them finished quicker than they had expected. It felt nice as they didn’t have to worry about it for the remainder of the time they had. They both had gotten over the awkwardness and pretended that they hadn’t want to kiss one another, avoiding mentioning the event at any cost. Besides, they thought it must’ve been a misinterpretation on both ends.
Jisung was waiting for Chan to pick him up, he had planned to walk but Chan refused to let him, knowing he had to carry his pillow and some other stuff along. Jisung turned to look at his livingroom. His father had left his house that morning and hadn’t returned yet. Jisung was worried his dad might’ve forgotten his key and not wanting to leave the party later on, he quickly rushed to his neighbours house to give them the spare key. Just as he came back to his own front door, Chan arrived.

“Let me just grab my stuff, be right there!” Chan waved in response. After 2 minutes or so, Jisung came out of the house and locked the door behind him. He waddled his way towards the car, carrying two big bags. Chan cooed at how cute Jisung was.
“You can throw your bags in the backseat!” They drove to Seungmins’ place together, chatting about anything that came to their minds. Most of the chatting came from Chan but the older was used to it. Although he did notice Jisung was more talkactive than he had ever been when it was just the two of them. He wondered what could’ve made the younger change ever so slightly but whatever it was, he was glad it was helping improve the boy’s social skills.

Quicker than Jisung had expected, the two arrived at Seungmin’s house. Jisung was grateful Chan decided to pick him up, the way there had been a little longer than he had expected and he wouldn’t have been exhausted carrying two bags over. As both boys stood before the front door they waited for it to open after ringing the bell. Soon enough it swung open, revealing Seungmin who gave the two boys a bright smile.

“Hey Seungminnie.” Chan said.

“Hey guys, come on in. Felix was preparing something in the kitchen and it smells delicious.” The two boys walked in, their stuff in both hands. Seungmin told them to put them in the corner of the livingroom and upon entering the room Jisung noticed everyone was already there.
“Hey everyone!” Chan boasted with a smile before sitting down on one of the armchairs. Jisung gave a small greeting as well before he sat down next to Changbin on the couch. A tinge of sadness went through Minho when Jisung didn’t sit down next to him but he quickly reminded himself Changbin was Jisung’s best friend after all.

“So what’s the plan for today, now that we’re all here?” Hyunjin excitedly asked. Him and Jeongin had been the first to arrive and had been waiting for a good 20 minutes. Hyunjin wanted to do something fun now that the last two had arrived. “Well, I figured we could play some Mario Kart or Smash Bros on the Switch? After that order some dinner or something.”
“Sounds good!” Changbin said and Chan nodded. “I do think it’s best if we all start thinking about what we want to eat for dinner, so we don’t have that discussion when our stomachs are growling already.” Minho said with a smile, the others agreeing to think about it whilst they played. It wasn’t going to be easy to order from one place with 9 of them, Seungmin’s older brother included.

Whilst playing Mario Kart, everyone had quickly found out Minho was quite competitive. He was screaming whenever he got hit by a red shell but he would screamed even louder when he got his by a green one. Jisung couldn’t help but chuckle softly as he watched him from the side. He had felt pretty bad that day, getting rejected at three different jobs before coming over. He didn’t want to worry about it but he still ended up having a panic attack, causing his energy to be almost completely gone. He hadn’t wanted to go to the sleepover but Changbin ended up persuading him, telling him it would be a good distraction and that it’d be fun anyways.

‘Just stick by my side, I’ll look out for you.’

A smile slowly made its way onto his face and he rested his head on Changbin’s shoulder, watching him play as he felt a little sleepy. The older gave a quick glance at him, way too invested in keeping his first place. After receiving a red shell to his face right before the finish, Minho passed him ending up in first place. Again.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Oh come on, hyung!” Changbin yelled, throwing his hands up in the air, causing Jisung to move his head back up. The others watching the game break out in laughter as Hyunjin and Jeongin race to the finish line before starting to laugh themselves.

“Sorry Changbin, you just can’t beat me. I’m the Mario Kart king!” Minho let out an evil laugh which caused Jisung to snicker. “It’s okay Changbinnie, I’ll int versus you so you can win some other time alright?” “Yes! I always win versus yo– wait what? You intentionally lose to me all the time? Yah, Jisung-ah!” Jisung let out a loud laugh as he received a pillow to the face.
After playing some Smash Bros (seeing Changbin didn’t want to keep losing), the boys all agreed on pizza and ordered their food. It didn’t take too long to arrive and soon enough the boys found themselves seated at a table in the kitchen that wasn’t supposed to be able to hold more than 6 people at maximum. Jisung had wedged himself inbetween Minho and Changbin as Chan placed the two giant pizzaz on the center of the table.

“Have a nice meal!” Seungmin said and the other seven replied saying the same before everyone grabbed a slice. Jisung wasn’t sure whether to pick pepperoni or funghi, so he decided to just go with the first option after everyone else had already chosen. Seungmin’s brother had decided to eat upstairs, not wanting to intrude on the little friendgroup.

“So, how’s your science project with Daehwi been going, hyung?” Jisung asked, turning to Changbin as he felt the need to break the (in his opinion) awkward silence. “It’s been going pretty well, though I think we are quite behind on schedule. I’m hanging out with him this Sunday to hopefully finish it. How about you three?” Changbin asked the pair as well as Hyunjin.
“God don’t even get me started on that demon child of a project! I don’t know why I picked science as a side course, I’m here to dance! Guess that Sooji bitch thinks the same too, she hasn’t done shit… And to top it all off, I’m not good at science either? What happened to the highschool days? They seem long gone!” Hyunjin whiped a fake tear from his face before angrily stuffing his mouth with food.

“There there, hyungie. I can help you out if you want?” Jeongin said, smiling at his agitated boyfriend. “Awww, you’re the best!” Hyunjin gave the youngest a quick peck, not wanting to gross the others out too much, -even if he knew they wouldn’t mind.
“We actually finished already.” Minho spoke up, earning some jaws to drop. Mainly those of Changbin and Hyunjin.

“W-What?! How! You hackers!” Hyunjin exclaimed. Jisung just watched as his palms got a little sweaty. ‘Please don’t praise me please don’t praise me I don’t want attention and don’t deserve it, please don’t prai—’

“Well, Sungie is really good. It was really easy for me to catch up so quickly. I’m sure if I was partnered with anyone else it would’ve been a disaster, right Sung?” Jisung nodded as he quickly took another bite, the previous one still being stored in his cheeks.
“Aww, the way Jisung eats is so cute.” Seungmin said as he smiled at him. Jisung’s eyes widened a bit, his anxiety rising up within him ever so slightly. He was always afraid of this. People looking at him and how he was eating, making him look big. Changbin placed a hand on his thigh, reminding Jisung he had his support and that there was no need to worry. He tried to remind himself they were friends, that none of them would judge him for the way he ate and that Seungmin had just given him a compliment. At least… He hoped.

“I noticed too! It’s so cute it makes you look like a hamster!” Felix says with a bright smile. “Actually, he looks more like a tiny little squirrel, don’t you think?” Minho said to the table before turning to Jisung. The latter could feel the heat rise to his face as he quickly leant forward to grab his drink.
“I-It’s just a habit! I’m sure more people eat like this. Nothing special.” He said, hoping it would drop the conversation. “Well, only you look like a cute squirrel though.” He heard Minho say. The others agreed with that statement and continued their dinner, Jisung feeling both flustered and relieved at the same time.

Soon after, the boys were full and they made their way back to the living room to play some more Smash. It seemed Minho wasn’t ready to admit his defeat to Felix just yet. As they were trying to destroy each other, Changbin got a call and went into the hallway. About three minutes later, he came back in.

“Hey guys. I’m really sorry to say this but I have to go home. My grandma fell down the stairs and my parents want to go to the hospital to see her. I got to go there as well they don’t know how bad the fall was and they don’t know if she will make it or not.”

“Oh Binnie.” Jisung said softly as he immediately got up and made his way over to his best friend. He gave grabbed his arm and clung onto him as he looked at him. “It’s okay, I’m sure she will alright. She’s a tough lady.”
“Yeah, Bin it’s fine. You should definitely go see her.” Seungmin also said. “I’ll drive you there if you want.” Chan suggested, to which Changbin declinded. He explained his parents were already on the way to pick him up. He had come with Minho by foot as Seungmin didn’t live far away from their dorms. Changbin left quickly afterwards, not before he mentioned the mood shouldn’t be brought down because of it.

“I hope she’ll be alright.” Felix said as the two had left. All other boys agreed and they decided to stop playing Smash, putting on a movie instead.
“So what shall we watch?” Seungmin asked as they scowered through the suggested page on Netflix. “Lets watch horror!” Hyunjin suggested and Jeongin and Chan both agreed. Felix said he was fine with anything as well as Minho. They looked at Jisung for approval.
He hated horror movies. Despised them, especially when he already felt slightly on egde. But he felt like he couldn’t say no. All of them were fine with it and he didn’t want to be the one to ruin it for the others, chosing to sacrifice his wellbeing for the entertainment of his friends. Minho saw he was reluctant and spoke up for him before he could agree to it.
“Actually, maybe something else is better? Like action or comedy? Or just sappy romance? I don’t know if I want to be scared actually.” He let out a laugh and the others didn’t hesitate in agreeing as they picked out an action movie instead. Whilst the boys filled up their drinks in the kitchen, Jisung moved to stand next to Minho.

“Thanks, hyung.” Minho looked at him from the side before humming. “For what?” Jisung scoffed as he pushed his hip towards Minho’s, making the older bounce a little in response. “You know what for. I didn’t want to watch a horror movie.”

“Oh that? No worries. I was debating on letting you suffer and crawl up to me… but I thought that was too cliché and that you’d probably just end up crying. Which is not something I want.” Jisung smiled and rolled his eyes before responding. “Well, I can still crawl up to you regardless, so you better watch out.” He smiled before walking back to the livingroom and hopping onto the couch. Minho shook his head in amusement before walking back and sitting down next to the boy, a little closer than he normally would have.

these boys eat a lot of sushi but I just don’t want to get any meals like wrong? IDK LMAO. Didn’t know I’d have to do food research for this story damn.
