In Ramah(King Wazah Ali’s POV)
At the palace
“Any reports from the border?” I ask
“Sire,some men were intercepted with a kidnapped person, heading towards Ramah, they were from the desert that links us to Jalen in the Northern side” the commander says
“Who is he? Is he fine?” I ask
“Yes,sire,he is resting now,he had quite a fright and a few bruises” the commander says
“I want to be informed as soon as he is awake” I reply
One can never be sure,spies come in all forms. He might be pretending to be a victim yet it’s all a set up.
“You may go” I tell the commander
He bows and goes out. I turn to my left and look at the empty thrones to my left. One belongs to my Queen Hadijjah,since the day our son was lost,she became a shadow of her former self,she just passes through life. The loss really affected her. I remember the days when she would be my side,laughing,jolly and lovingly fulfilling her duties.The other throne should belong to my son,the lost one. Our little boy.
I sigh and look away,its been a long twenty years and no clue whatsoever. All the leads we had followed earlier were dead ends.
Whoever did this paid attention to details and carefully thought out everything. Its like they had a guardian angel on their side.
If only he would magically appear, so all Hadijjah’s sorrows would end.

At the desert
Falcon’s POV
“Speak,what has happened to him” I ask the captain
“Sire,the consort is missing, we have failed you!” He says and falls down at my feet
“I deserve to be punished for abusing your trust” he continues
“Sire, punish me as you see fit also,it was my duty to protect your consort with my life,but I failed you” my personal guard says falling at my feet too.

All my brave and loyal soldiers are kneeling before me awaiting their fate with grace and dignity. In my hand I was holding my battle sword.

Before meeting my temptation and falling in love,I would have whipped out my sword and punished them all.

But my Ayan taught me a leader should be just and fair. These men are loyal and brave. They are only human. They must have tried.

Right now the most important thing is finding him. My heart can’t take being away from him.
“Get up all of you,I forgive you,right now we need to find my consort” I say
They look up in shock and slowly get up.

“We owe you our lives,sire,truly your the great Prince of Jalen. We vow not to rest till we find your consort” they pledge
“Let’s ride out to Ramah,they might be able to help us in the search. Bring those captives” I say
We ride hard and fast till we reach Ramah.

“We are welcomed by the king. We explain the situation to him and he promises to do everything in his power to help us.
We turn in for the night but I spend it pacing and worrying about my Ayan. Wondering if he is fine.

Early the next morning, we are served a hearty breakfast. But I can’t even eat the food, my mind only thinks about him.

A few minutes later,a servant enters
” Your majesties,someone wants to see Prince Malik,he says its urgent, he’s from Jalen.”
“Send him in immediately” I reply
I look eagerly waiting to see who is coming, I see a person in personal assistant clothes,I recall him,he’s my former lover Shafiq’s loyal assistant.
“How can I help you?” I ask
“Sire,I have some sensitive information I would like to tell you,it can break or save Jalen” he says
“What is this information?” I ask calmly
“I need a promise from you first before I tell you” he replies
” Go on” I say
“I need you to promise that I won’t be arrested and all charges against Yasin should be dropped, I want him safe.” He says
“Who is he to you?” I ask
“He is my lover,I love him,it’s my fault he is in prison, I let him down” he replies
“Alright,I give you my word, what is the information?” I ask
“As I speak right now,a rebellion is under way,the council member Nasur,Shafiq’s uncle is leading the uprising, they have been gathering soldiers and followers, I hear they also hired the Tamil mercenaries. They plan to attack in three days” he says
“What!!!! A rebellion! Right under our noses,why are you telling me this? Aren’t you loyal to Shafiq?” I ask
“Sire,you must surely understand me,you are in love with your consort, wouldn’t you do anything to get him back if you let him down?” He asks eyes clouded with pain
“Yes, right now he is missing, we are searching for him” I reply
“Well I heard rumours that he escaped and ran here, in Ramah” he says
“Are you sure?” I ask,rays of hope seeping into my heart
“I think so” he replies
I turn to the king to ask him to order a search but he turns to me and says,
“Yesterday my soldiers rescued a man from the border,maybe he is the one? I haven’t seen him personally” he says
“Let me go and check” I say and leave in a hurry
I am led into the guest wing of the palace. I enter into a room and there sprawled on the bed is the owner of my heart! Ayan
I kneel down and hold him,slowly his eyes open,
“Falcon, falcon” he says
“Its okay, I’ve found you my love,its fine” I soothe him
“I thought, I would never see you again” he says tears running down his eyes
I lean down and hug him to my chest,
“I don’t know what i would have done if I lost you, but I found you, ma’sha Allah (God willed it)“ I say
“Alhamdulillah(praise God)“ he replies
We hug and hold each other tightly not wanting to let go.
