A New Reality

༻﹡﹡????’s POV﹡﹡༺

It’s been three days since my Onee-san brought a guest to our home.

The guest was a man who had fainted when my sister brought him in. My sister and I were living separately from our parents, residing in a house a little farther from our parents’ place but still within our tribe.

At the time, I was both shocked and panicked by what I saw. We quickly laid him down on one of the vacant beds while my sister fetched warm water.

We spent a couple of hours nursing him before we could finally take a break.

As we sat down, I couldn’t help but bombard my brother with questions. My face was filled with worry as I tried to understand what had happened to this strikingly beautiful man.

And, honestly, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t blushing while we cared for him. Despite knowing he was a man, his beauty was so remarkable that it left me speechless.

Gathering my courage, I finally asked my sister for an explanation. I felt compelled to do so, though I couldn’t quite explain why.

“Onee-chan, what happened to him? Why were you so late? Why did you bring him here unconscious? What is—”

But I was interrupted when she spoke, halting my panic.

She looked at me, her expression mirroring mine but with a depth of concern that was almost worse.

Her face seemed to convey that she had witnessed a miracle or something as astonishing as someone coming back from the dead.

༻﹡﹡No Ones POV﹡﹡༺

Hinata, the girl from before, looked at her younger brother with an expression that was hard to describe but not in a negative way. Her face was a mix of deep concern and relief as she contemplated the man she had brought home.

“Naoto, calm down. I’ll answer your questions one by one, but let me rest for a moment,”
Hinata said, her voice weary but firm.

She stood up and made her way to the kitchen, a quaint room made entirely of wood with stone and wooden furniture.

The house had a rounded, fairy-tale quality to it, reminiscent of a hobbit’s home or a Tinkerbell-like abode. It was a place that seemed to belong to another time, filled with magical charm.

Naoto followed his sister into the kitchen. There, he saw Hinata sitting on a cut piece of wood, and he took a seat across from her, eager to continue the interrupted conversation.

Before Naoto could ask anything further, Hinata spoke up, her voice serious.

“His name is Takemichi… Takemichi Hanakagi.”

“Takemichi? That’s his name?”
Naoto’s eyes sparkled with interest, but his excitement was quickly dampened by Hinata’s somber expression.

Hinata could clearly see that her younger brother had taken a liking to Takemichi, and for some reason, this bothered her.

In her dreams, Hinata had often imagined a scenario where she and Naoto both fell in love with the same person. She had prepared herself for that possibility, even willing to share her love with her beloved brother. But now, faced with the reality of her feelings, she found herself struggling with a deep sense of unease.

Her frown was not entirely negative, but it reflected her internal conflict.

“And he’s my mate,”
Hinata declared, the weight of her words freezing Naoto in his tracks.

He stared at his sister, seeking confirmation. The way Hinata acted confirmed the truth of her claim.

“A-Are you sure? Maybe you’re just mistaken—” Naoto tried to argue, hoping his sister might be wrong.

But before he could finish, Hinata’s voice rose sharply.

“Naoto, he is my mate!”
she shouted, the declaration echoing with both certainty and desperation.

Naoto was stunned by her outburst, and Hinata, realizing her own outburst, immediately softened.

“I… I’m sorry. I was just… scared,”
she admitted.

Her fear wasn’t just about someone taking Takemichi away from her but also about the possibility of him never waking up again.

Her anxiety stemmed from a past experience where her grandmother had fainted unexpectedly. Despite assurances from a doctor that she would recover soon, her grandmother never woke up. Days later, the doctor revealed the devastating truth—her grandmother had passed away.

Naoto fell silent, processing the gravity of the situation before speaking.

“So he really is your… *gulp*… your mate?”
His voice trembled as he grappled with the reality that Takemichi was not only alive but also bound to his sister.

Hinata nodded, her eyes reflecting the weight of her confession.

“Yes, he is. Do you remember the dreams I used to tell you about?”

Naoto nodded, recalling the numerous times Hinata had described her dreams about a mysterious blue-eyed man with whom she had made a mate contract.

“Oh… God…”
Naoto finally understood. Hinata wasn’t lying about her dreams; Takemichi was indeed the man from them.

“He is the one I made the mate contract with,”
Hinata confirmed, her voice filled with a mixture of relief and continued worry.

And so, three days passed peacefully. During this time, Naoto and his sister Hinata had been diligently caring for and nursing Takemichi.

One of the first things they noticed was a distinctive mark on Takemichi’s chest, positioned over his heart. It was a four-leaf clover tattoo, a symbol of their bond. They also discovered a peculiar bracelet on his left wrist, its design unlike anything they had seen before.

Despite their growing concern that Takemichi might never awaken, Naoto and Hinata remained by his side around the clock, ensuring his safety and well-being.

On the second day, the siblings stumbled upon a surprising revelation: Takemichi and Hinata had an egg.

This was no ordinary egg; its shell was crafted from pure gold, adorned with intricate fairy designs, and prominently featured a large four-leaf clover symbol in the center.

It was evident that the egg was a result of their union. Although it was still small—about the size of a standard chicken egg—it was a tangible sign of their connection, having formed only the previous day.

This egg was not a product of any physical act but rather a manifestation of their deep, genuine love for one another. The dreams Hinata had often spoken of were now becoming a reality, and both she and Naoto hoped that once Takemichi awoke, they could fully embrace their relationship as mates.

Race was a trivial concern for Hinata; what mattered most was her love for Takemichi, regardless of his origins.

However, their hope turned to alarm when Takemichi and the egg mysteriously disappeared.

It was a moment of brief separation—Hinata had gone to the kitchen to get some food, leaving Takemichi alone. Upon returning, she found that both he and the precious egg were gone.

“Naoto!!! Takemichi is gone!!!”
Hinata’s frantic voice echoed through the house, her panic palpable as she searched desperately for any sign of their missing mate and the cherished egg.

It was dark and cold, and Takemichi found himself struggling to breathe. He felt as if he were floating in water. Memories of recent events flickered through his mind.

“Oh, right. I was walking with Hinata to her house. She mentioned her place was nearby. We were chatting, and she asked me about my ‘female.’ I was confused…,”
Takemichi thought, feeling something round against his hand.

His vision grew blurry, and he felt himself falling. The last thing he remembered was Hinata’s worried face, her voice calling his name as he lost consciousness.

He gasped for air, only to find himself inhaling water.

Desperate, he swam until he broke through the surface, coughing up the liquid. As his vision cleared, he saw that he was in a lake surrounded by a dense forest. The scene was eerily reminiscent of the first time he had crossed over, but this place was unfamiliar.

“Where am I now?”
Takemichi muttered, trying to piece together his memories.

“What happened to Hinata? Did she leave me here?”
Despite having only recently met her, he felt a deep connection, as if he had known her for a long time.

He noticed a bracelet on his left wrist, an elegant and expensive-looking piece he didn’t remember wearing.

Clutched in his hand was a peculiar egg, its golden shell adorned with fairy designs and a prominent four-leaf clover. Takemichi felt an overwhelming urge to protect it, as if it were the most precious thing to him.

Suddenly, he heard rustling in the grass behind him. He climbed out of the lake, shivering from the cold, and hoped no one would see him. He was relieved to find he wasn’t naked this time, avoiding the embarrassment he had narrowly escaped earlier.

As he made his way through the undergrowth, he heard a splash.

A short man with wet blond hair jumped into the lake, his face hitting the water first. As he emerged, droplets slid down his chest, revealing well-defined muscles and a glistening sheen.

The man’s tattoos—a combination of red and black Hanafuda patterns on his nape and a lion with wings and a phoenix on his waist—glinted in the light.

(Hoo! Yeah, I-its also really hot here~
Villa! Can I have some ice? No, perhaps tea~? 😏😉)

The short man’s sharp senses immediately detected Takemichi’s presence. Their eyes locked, and they were both momentarily stunned. The man, visibly aroused and overheated, had mistaken Takemichi for a female.

To him, Takemichi was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.

The man’s heart raced, his dark eyes reflecting the intensity of his reaction.

He was mesmerized, unable to tear his gaze away from Takemichi, who appeared like a mythical fairy. The man’s immediate physical response was evident, and he found himself struggling to control his emotions and desires.

When Takemichi finally saw the man’s face clearly, he was initially struck by the man’s strikingly handsome, yet indignant features. But the man’s intense, scorching gaze quickly brought him back to his senses.

‘He has no clothes on!’

‘He’s being watched!’

‘This is so embarrassing!’

(Wait, why did Takemichi think “What a shame”? 🤔🤨😏)

Takemichi’s face flushed red, and in a panic, he fled into the forest. But just after a few steps, the man pursuing him caught up and hugged him tightly.

Both were male, but Takemichi felt uncomfortable for a reason only he knew. The man’s body was burning hot, like a living flame. The moment he touched Takemichi, it felt as if he was being scalded to the core.

“What are you doing? Let me go!”
Takemichi struggled desperately.

The man’s arms were like steel, holding him firmly. He felt the man’s smooth, delicate skin and the faint fragrance of his body. The last shred of Takemichi’s reason seemed to collapse.

Slowly, the man released Takemichi and lowered his head to kiss his cheek. His voice was hoarse and filled with desire.

“Little female, where did you come from? Why are you alone here?”

Takemichi’s anger flared as he slapped the man across the face. (Insert Hina—) One of the reasons for his anger was being called “female” instead of “male.” For heaven’s sake, he wasn’t transgender or female—he was a male!

(Poor Mikey, slapped by Hinata and now by Takemichi 🤣)

“Bastard, let me go!”
Takemichi shouted, his attempts to escape as ineffective as scratching at the eyes of a man.

The slap seemed to have no impact; if anything, the man found Takemichi’s hand to be too soft.

Though his body was almost consumed by lust, the man couldn’t bear to be too rough with someone so delicate and petite. He felt his heart melting just by looking at Takemichi.

“Don’t be afraid; I just want to hold you.”
The man smiled reassuringly.

But Takemichi was desperate to escape.

“If you don’t let me go, I’ll call the police!”
Takemichi’s voice quivered with panic. He didn’t know what to do; slapping the man had done nothing.

He knew he was rude, but this man was far ruder!

“Call the police? What is that?”
The man asked, feigning ignorance. Takemichi’s frustration grew.

He pushed against the man, his face flushed with shame and anger. Instead of being pushed away, the man held him tighter.

“Don’t move; I won’t hurt you.”
The man’s voice was soothing.

Takemichi didn’t believe him. With tears in his eyes, he glared at the man, resolved to thwart him no matter the cost.

Seeing the determination in Takemichi’s eyes, the man’s mind cleared. He suppressed his lust and made a serious promise.

“I won’t do anything to you, as long as you don’t run.”
The man was earnest.

But this was Takemichi.

“Then let me go first.”
The man, though reluctant, released Takemichi and took a step back.

“Is this okay?”
he asked, stopping and looking at Takemichi.

Takemichi wanted to flee immediately but heard the man say,

“Your speed is too slow. No matter where you run, I can easily catch up.”

The man’s dark, intense eyes were filled with an almost tender expression.

Takemichi’s face turned red again, and he hurriedly turned away, avoiding eye contact.

“Can you put on some clothes first?”
Takemichi finally noticed that the man had been naked from the beginning.

As he said this, he realized he was also naked. He crossed his arms over his chest and turned sideways to avoid the man’s gaze.

The man stared at him, puzzled.

“Which tribe’s female are you? Why are you here alone? Where’s the male beast who was with you?”

Takemichi was confused by the question. This was the second time someone had asked about his “male,” but this time it was about his male beast partner.

“What female? What male?”
Takemichi asked, bewildered.

“I’m a male beast, you’re a female. We can become partners. Hasn’t anyone taught you this basic knowledge?”
The man took a step closer, his tall body looming over Takemichi.

‘Beast? Male and female? !’
Takemichi thought, shocked.

‘God, what kind of world has he landed in?! Are there beasts here? Will there be humans? Will I ever return to my old world?’

He was so overwhelmed that he spaced out until the man spoke again.

“Oh! I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Manjiro Sano, but call me Mikey!”
The man smiled as he said this.

Then, without warning, Mikey transformed into a huge, winged lion.

Takemichi’s eyes widened in disbelief.

‘Monsters! !’

He was so frightened that his vision darkened, and he fainted once again.
