༻﹡﹡Takemichi’s POV﹡﹡༺
Originally, I intended to buy a pair of shoes, but orcs typically don’t wear them, so no one sells shoes here. In frustration, I realized I would have to make a pair myself.
As I pondered this, I noticed that needlework supplies, essential for making shoes, were available for sale.
I hesitated, examining the needles and threads.
I was out of money and felt too embarrassed to ask Mikey-kun to pay for these items, especially since he had already purchased two sets of clothes for me.
Â
Â
༻﹡﹡No One’s POV﹡﹡༺
Takemichi felt embarrassed asking Mikey if he could pay for the supplies, but he had no other choice.
Meanwhile, Draken was quietly fuming at Mikey. The money Mikey used wasn’t his; it was Draken’s. However, since it was for Takemichi, Draken decided to let it slide this time, but he wasn’t thrilled with Mikey’s actions.
Draken glanced at Takemichi and then took out a crystal coin, purchasing a complete set of needlework supplies.
Mikey’s excitement grew, thinking he might get to ask for food as well. However, Draken ignored him.
“Just tell me what you need,â€
Draken said with a smile, holding the needlework supplies out to Takemichi.
“I have crystal coins.â€
“Thank you. I’ll make sure to pay you back for the crystal coins,â€
Takemichi said, blushing slightly. Draken chuckled at his shyness.
“Now you’re my male, Takemitchy. Everything I have belongs to you. I can give you anything you want,â€
Mikey said, causing Takemichi to look at him with embarrassment.
Mikey agreed with Draken but felt a bit jealous of the attention Takemichi was receiving.
“Draken is right, Takemitchy. Now that you’ve agreed to be our male partner, you can’t take it back,â€
Mikey added, stealing a quick kiss on Takemichi’s cheek before heading to a nearby food stall.
“When did I say that?â€
Takemichi protested, his face flushed with both excitement and embarrassment.
Takemichi felt a deep sense of regret, mixed with warmth, as Mikey and Draken’s words—“family†and “male partnerâ€â€”touched his heart. He longed for a family of his own, a desire buried since his parents’ early death.
But now, the two handsome orcs in front of him stirred that longing anew.
Takemichi wanted a home, filled with love and warm memories, and even found himself missing Hinata, whom he had just met but already felt a connection with.
Draken noticed Takemichi’s eyes welling up with tears and immediately panicked.
“Takemitchy?! Don’t cry! Are you not feeling well? Did I do something wrong? Please tell me, I’ll fix it!â€
Draken said, hovering anxiously around Takemichi.
Mikey returned with food, shocked to see Takemichi crying and Draken frantically trying to comfort him.
“What the—Ken-chin, what did you do?! Why is Takemitchy crying?!â€
Mikey demanded, his tone low but urgent.
Draken, feeling offended, shrugged it off but tried to calm Takemichi.
“I didn’t do anything! Hey, Takemitchy,â€
Draken said, gently holding Takemichi’s face,
“don’t cry, please.â€
“Yeah, Takemitchy, tell us why you’re crying. Are you hurt? Did Ken-chin make you cry? I’ll deal with him if he did,â€
Mikey offered, still harboring a bit of jealousy.
“Heck, Mikey, don’t even think about it! I won’t let you beat me! And you know I didn’t make him cry,â€
Draken defended himself, considering hugging Takemichi to comfort him.
However, Takemichi had already wiped his eyes and managed a shy smile.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to worry you two. And Mikey-kun, Draken-kun didn’t do anything wrong. I’m just… really happy.â€
The two orcs looked confused, trying to understand why Takemichi would cry from happiness.
“Happy?â€
Mikey asked, puzzled by Takemichi’s tears.
“I’m happy because I now have a family,â€
Takemichi said softly, taking Mikey’s hand.
Though still a bit confused, the two orcs were content that Takemichi was happy.
The three continued their exploration of the market, enjoying their time together.

Not far from where the trio was, a male beast paused in his tracks, glancing back as if sensing something unusual. His companion, who had been chatting with him, noticed the sudden halt.
“Oi, what’s up?â€
he asked.
“…Ah, it’s nothing. I just felt something weird for a moment,â€
the blonde-haired male replied, his emerald eyes still fixed on the spot he had been watching.
“Maybe you’re just hungry. Let’s go get something to eat,â€
his friend said, gently pulling him away from the area.
The black-haired companion took a final glance at the place before following along.
He felt a fleeting sense of unease but shrugged it off as they continued on their way.

 Â
As the sun began to set after their visit to the market, Lang zhu sent someone to invite Mikey, Draken, and their little Takemichi as guests.
However, Mikey declined the invitation, and Draken, wary of what might happen, agreed. They didn’t want Takemichi to be involved in any potential trouble.
While Mikey and Draken were aware of Langzhu’s intentions, Takemichi thought of him as a kind, old wolf-like Santa Claus.
The Black Wolf Tribe, known for controlling fire and feared for their power, had a population of over 300 males and only a dozen females.
The tribe’s unique gene, which controls fire, was present even in those without black fur. Despite the tribe’s large male population, each female was surrounded by many male partners to ensure reproduction.
For Lang Zhu, Takemichi was an exceptional case. Although he couldn’t bear cubs, his genes were incredibly strong, and Lang Zhu saw him as a rare treasure. Lang Zhu hoped Takemichi would take his time to select a few young females or males from the tribe as potential mates.
Draken, however, was furious at the thought of other males wanting to share Takemichi.
Mikey felt the same way and was ready to defend Takemichi at all costs. Takemichi belonged to them alone, and they wouldn’t allow anyone else to interfere.
Mikey possessively embraced Takemichi as they left the foot of the mountain and found a nearby cave. Draken spread a thick layer of hay on the ground, and Mikey carefully placed Takemichi on it.
“Neh, Takemitchy, I’m going hunting nearby. I’ll be back soon. Stay here and don’t wander off. Ken-chin will protect you while I’m away,â€
Mikey instructed, glancing around for his hunting spot.
Draken nodded in agreement.
“I will, even if you didn’t ask.â€
Draken noticed Mikey’s smile despite their rivalry.
The bond between Draken and Mikey was strong, like sworn brothers, and their relationship would endure even if they argued over Takemichi.
Takemichi looked at Mikey with concern.
“A-ah, okay… Please be careful, Mikey-kun.â€
Mikey was touched by Takemichi’s concern.
‘Is this a dream? I found my precious mate, and now he’s cutely worried about me,’
Mikey thought, though he had to focus on hunting.
After Mikey left, Draken blocked the cave entrance with a large stone to keep Takemichi safe from prying eyes. Draken watched Mikey reluctantly leave before turning his attention back to Takemichi.
Feeling relieved that Draken had left, Takemichi unwrapped the cloth bag and took out the fire-starting tools.
He gathered some dry wood and carefully lit a fire. As the warmth spread, Takemichi smiled happily and began to browse through the atlas.
The first pages described the continent’s basic conditions, highlighting soul beasts and females. Soul beasts, evolved from ordinary orcs, were powerful, while females were rare and crucial for reproduction. Each female typically had many male partners.
Takemichi felt embarrassed, though he wasn’t a female himself. It was unexpected to see that this world respected polyandry and possibly LGBT relationships, which was new to him.
He thought it might be better if Mikey and Draken had a female partner instead, but despite their recent acquaintance, he felt a deep connection with them, similar to his feelings for Hinata.
Continuing through the atlas, Takemichi read about Crispy Fragrant Fruit. This fruit had medicinal properties, useful for dispelling dampness, reducing heat, stopping bleeding, and inflammation. Although he didn’t need it immediately, it was good to know.
Takemichi opened the animal skin pouch Lang Zhu had given him and retrieved two Crispy Fragrant Fruits. The dark red fruits, full and round, emitted a faint, sweet fragrance.
A few minutes later, Draken returned, and his shock was evident when he saw what Takemichi had done.

Mikey hurriedly finished hunting and dragged his prey back to the cave. The night was pitch black, and the firelight from the cave’s entrance was particularly glaring. As soon as Mikey saw the fire, his expression turned to one of alarm.
The cave was on fire!
Panic surged through Mikey as he realized Takemichi and Draken were still inside. He threw aside his prey and sprinted towards the cave.
Inside, Takemichi and Draken were examining the Crispy Fragrant Fruit when they noticed Mikey’s anxious expression.
Takemichi was taken aback by the sudden change.
“What’s wrong?â€
Takemichi asked, puzzled by Mikey’s agitation.
Draken, who knew the source of Mikey’s concern, looked worried but was unable to speak before Mikey rushed in.
“Takemitchy!! Get out of here!â€
Mikey shouted, pulling Takemichi to his feet and glaring at Draken. Draken wore a guilty expression.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing, Ken-chin?!â€
Mikey yelled at Draken, his eyes fixed on the fire as he prepared to leave.
“M-Mikey… I can explain!â€
Draken stammered, trying to defuse the situation, but his attempts only seemed to escalate Mikey’s panic.
“Why? Is something wrong?â€
Takemichi asked, confused by the sudden commotion. Draken had seemed upset earlier, but not like this, especially not over the fire.
Draken’s face remained apologetic as he tried to calm Mikey, who was frantically trying to protect Takemichi and sort out the confusion.

 Â
Draken was on his way back to the cave, carrying fruits and supplies, when he saw a strange light coming from inside.
A sinking feeling of dread washed over him, and he raced toward the cave with urgency. Upon entering, he was struck by the sight of Takemichi near the fire, which sent him into a state of panic.
“Ta-takemitchy?! Why is there a fire here?!â€
Draken exclaimed, rushing to Takemichi and preparing to extinguish the flames.
Takemichi looked up, surprised.
“E-ehhh?! Draken-kun?! Wait, let me go. I’m studying Crispy Fragrant Fruit,â€
he said, managing to wriggle free from Draken’s hold.
Draken’s anxiety eased as he watched Takemichi return to his study, sitting near the fire and examining the Crispy Fragrant Fruit. Draken was momentarily baffled.
“H-huh?â€
Draken murmured, bewildered.
Before he could fully process the situation, Takemichi had already pulled him to sit beside him, eager to discuss his findings.
Just then, Mikey arrived, his expression a mix of relief and confusion as he took in the scene before him.
Â

 Â
Mikey’s face was a mask of concern as he saw the fire and quickly grabbed a hide, rushing to extinguish it.
“There’s a fire here; it’s very dangerous!â€
He yelled, heading towards the flames.
Takemichi looked up, startled by Mikey’s frantic actions.
“Don’t be nervous! I lit the fire!â€
Takemichi called out, puzzled by the intense reaction.
Mikey halted in his tracks, his expression shifting to shock.
“You lit the fire? Do you realize how dangerous it is? Anything that comes into contact with it could be reduced to ashes!â€
He scolded, his eyes darting between Takemichi and Draken, who was sweating and watching the scene unfold.
“And Ken-chin, why did you let Takemitchy start a fire? What if he got hurt? Or—â€
Mikey’s voice trailed off, overwhelmed by fear.
Draken, who had been observing in silence, tried to explain,
“I’m sorry, Mikey. I didn’t know Takemitchy had lit a fire. I was out gathering fruits and supplies.â€
“It wasn’t Draken’s fault; it’s mine!â€
Takemichi interjected, his eyes welling up slightly.
“Please don’t blame him. I’m the one who started the fire, so if anyone should be held responsible, it’s me.â€
Both Mikey and Draken looked at him, their anger dissipating at his heartfelt plea.
“Takemitchy…â€
they both murmured, their voices softening.
“I don’t understand why you’re so wary of the fire, but please don’t fight. I know fire is dangerous, but if you’re careful, it’s not as harmful as you think. It provides warmth and cooks food,â€
Takemichi said, attempting to calm the situation.
Mikey hesitated, then reluctantly accepted Takemichi’s explanation. He calmed down, and Draken sighed in relief.
“Takemitchy needs the fire, and we can’t refuse him,â€
Mikey said, pulling the partially discarded prey back into the cave. He carefully skinned the animal and set it aside, preparing to clean it in the morning.
Throughout the process, Mikey kept a wary eye on the fire, ready to intervene if necessary.
He apologized to Draken for his earlier outburst, and Draken accepted the apology, understanding Mikey’s protective nature.
As Takemichi roasted the meat, Mikey watched in nervous anticipation. He was relieved when Takemichi handed him a skewer of the cooked meat, eyes sparkling with excitement.
“Try it,â€
Takemichi urged, his enthusiasm evident.
Both Mikey and Draken took a bite.
“It’s hot, but… delicious!â€
they thought simultaneously.
“This is much better than raw meat!â€
Mikey mused, impressed by the taste.
“Is this why Takemitchy needed the fire? It tastes amazing!â€
Draken thought, savoring the flavors.
They eagerly devoured the meat, with Mikey quickly roasting more.
The delicious barbecue made Mikey and Draken appreciate the fire’s usefulness. Mikey, now less fearful, relaxed beside the fire as he transformed into a large lion, licking his wounds. Draken positioned himself near the entrance, ensuring their safety.
Takemichi approached Mikey with a concerned look.
“I’ll help you bandage your wounds.â€
He took out a Crispy Fragrant Fruit, chewed it, and applied it to Mikey’s scratches.
Mikey was touched by Takemichi’s care and, with a smirk, thought that perhaps letting the prey wound him more would make Takemichi care for him even more.
Draken, observing the interaction, sighed.
“This will be a long night,â€
he muttered, only to suddenly recall something important.
“Mikey! We have a problem!â€
Draken exclaimed, startling the others.
Mikey looked up, confused.
“Huh?â€
