Evan’s POV
Alex pushed me up against the lockers, his friends snickering behind him. He pulled his arm back, forming a fist and delivered a punch to the right side of my face. I winced in pain.
“S-stop.” I managed to chock out.
“Are you trying to tell me what to do?” Alex scoffed, kneeing me in the gut. I grunted out in pain, coughing out blood.
“That’s enough Alex.” Dave, one of his “croonies” called out.
“Whatever man.” Alex rolled his eyes. He turned to me once more and shoved me deeper against the lockers, if that was even possible, before letting me go.
I fell to the floor, coughing and gasping for air while Alex walked off with his friends, all snickering behind him. I took a shaky breath and got up, wincing in pain as I held the side of my stomach, and limped my way to the school’s nurse.
I opened the door and Nurse Eli turned to me. “Oh my God Evan, are you okay?” She gasped in shock. “What happened?”
“I-I fell.” I stuttered out. The nurse shook her head and sighed.
“Who’s been doing this to you Evan? You know I can’t help if you don’t tell me.”
I closed my eyes and took a shaky breath. “Really, it’s nothing.” She opened her mouth to speak, but the bell rang for the next period to begin. I looked at her.
“Stay here until you feel better. I’ll let you off at around lunch.” She ordered. I nodded my head and laid down on the sick bed. I inhaled deeply as I let darkness overcome me.
