A/N: CHRISTMAS SPECIAL! This is situated a few years after they graduate from university.
Enjoy 🙂
*PS, there are no hints about what happens in future chapters. Although this is in the future so everything that’s happening, happened after their high school life. You can come back and read it after you finish the book too*

Axel’s POV
“Baby, they’re here!” I hear Jay yell as I stumble putting on my socks. I run down the stairs and smile as I hug Jack, Pete, Franco and Tyler.
“Hey! I haven’t seen you guys in so long!” I say and Jack laughs.
“You literally saw us yesterday” he says, rolling his eyes.
“I know, but we don’t see each other often enough” I say with a pout.
“Axe, we literally live right next door” Tyler points out.
“We have movie nights every other day” Franco adds on.
“And we go out to dinner on the nights we don’t” Pete pipes up.
“We see them every day, babe” Jay says and I huff.
“Okay, fine! But can’t I still miss them?” I say and they all glance at each other.
“There’s a problem if you do, man” Jack says with a playful tone.
I roll my eyes, “Rude” I say as I turn around and walk into the kitchen to check on the food. I hear them all laugh as they follow me. They’re about to enter the kitchen when I throw a fork and it lands in the wall right beside Jack’s head.
I give them a deadly glare, “Don’t you dare come into my holy sanctuary you fuckers” I say and their eyes all widen.
“Did Axe just swear?” Pete asks, astonished.
“Did we piss him off that much earlier?” Tyler asks, stunned.
“What did you do to our innocent child?!” Jack grabs Jay’s shoulders, shaking him wildly while glaring at him and Jay holds his hands up in surrender.
“Woah woah, chill guys. He’s always like this when it’s about who enters the kitchen. He literally doesn’t let anyone in, unless it’s my mom. Not even me” he says and I hold up another fork, getting ready to throw it.
“Exactly, so get the fuck out before this ends up in one of your eyes” I say threateningly and I pretend to throw the fork to scare them. They all flinch -except for Jay, he’s used to my behaviour by now- and they all turn around, sprinting into the living room. I check on the food, and clean up a little before going into the living room to join my friends.
“Whatchy’all doin? Oo I want to play” I say as I jump onto the couch and rest my head on Jay’s lap. They all look at me strangely, and I smile innocently at them.
“I swear your boyfriend’s bipolar, Jay” Franco says and I feign offence.
“Excuse you, but I am very much not bipolar. But YOU, you sir, are bipolar” I say as I sit up, pointing an accusatory finger at Pete, while Jay laughs and kisses my cheek. Pete looks at me confusedly for the random accusation, when he was just playing cards and had nothing to do with Franco calling me bipolar.
“I’ll still love you even if you go psycho and kill everyone” he says and I blush. They’re playing Big 2, a game that I’m surprisingly really good at.
Franco throws his cards down in frustration, “How does Axe keep winning!” he exclaims and I shrug.
“Because you keep telling me not to let you win” I say and they all laugh as Franco huffs.
“Do you want to build a snowman?” I sing, looking at Franco.
He scoffs, “No, I’m not talking to you”
“Well too bad. Let’s go outside and build a snowman” I say and Tyler turns and looks at me quizzically.
“What are we, 5?” he scoffs and I turn to look at him.
“Yes” I say, dead serious.
He chuckles, “Fair enough, we do have the mentality of one” he says and I shake my head.
“No Ty, we have a COMBINED mentality of a five year old” I say and he looks even more confused.
“But there’s 6 of us-“
“Exactly” I interrupt as I stand up and walk out of the living room to grab my jacket and gloves. Everyone stands up as well, grabbing their coats and goes outside. We start building a snowman before all hell breaks loose. Jay throws a snowball at me, that hits me square in the chest. I open my mouth in shock before I playfully glare at him.
“Oh, it’s on” I say and start making a snowball and throwing it at Jay, which he dodges smoothly. It ends up hitting Jack square in the face. I burst out laughing as he glares at me.
“SNOWBALL FIGHT”
You would think that as adults, we’d be responsible, educated young men -and considering some of our grades- with big futures ahead of us.
Well, you thought wrong.
I get hit in the back so hard that I stumble forward. Who the hell can throw that hard? I know Jay wouldn’t do that, he would never intentionally hurt me. I look around, looking for the culprit when I see a smug looking Franco looking at me.
“THAT’S WHAT YOU GET FOR BEATING ME AT MY OWN DAMN GAME AXE” he says and sticks his tongue out at me. He has his eyes closed as puts his hands beside his head and wiggles his fingers with his tongue out. He looks like a reindeer who was teasing some girl deer he liked.
I quickly make a snowball and throw it at him, and it hits him right in the face. He wipes the snow from his face and playfully glares at me.
“WELL IT’S NOT MY FAULT THAT YOU SUCK AT YOUR OWN DAMN GAME FRANC” I say and repeat the gesture, sticking my tongue out at him. Though, I don’t close my eyes like he did. I thought only people in animes did that.
After about 30 minutes of us throwing snowballs at each other and missing our targets -but coincidentally hitting someone else which causes a whole other fight- I start to get cold, so I hug myself while my teeth chatter. Jay notices and immediately runs over to me, hugging me.
“Want my jacket?” he asks and I shake my head.
“T-Then y-y-you’ll b-be c-c-c-cold” I say, through my chattering teeth.
He smiles, “Let’s head inside then”
He turns around, “Guys! Let’s go inside, my princess is cold!” he yells and I cover my face, hiding my blush. They all laugh and we all head inside.
I look at the clock on the wall and my eyes widen. The food.
I quickly discard all my winter gear and run into the kitchen, screaming “NOOO MY BABIES”
I open the oven and quickly take out the roasted chicken, seeing it well cooked and not burnt. I sigh in relief, “You guys hungry?” I ask and I see them walk over and stand at the doorway, looking at the floor to make sure they don’t make the mistake of stepping in after my fork-throwing fiasco. I roll my eyes, cowards.
“Yeah, I’m starving” Pete says and I nod.
“You guys go sit, the food will be out in a bit” I say and they all nod, leaving. Jay stays behind and I usher him to go, not letting him into my kitchen. Yes, we live together but this is my kitchen. I’m the only one allowed in -besides Jay’s mom- and if I ever find that my stuff has been moved even a micrometre, I’ll bring out all the savings -that I don’t have- to hire a whole police squad to figure out who the culprit is.
I bring the chicken, mash potatoes and vegetables out of the kitchen, and set them onto the table. I go back in to get the gravy I made, and set it down on the table before sitting down in between Jay and Jack.
“This looks so good. You’re so lucky you get to eat meals cooked by Axe everyday, Jay. I look forward to every holiday when I get to eat these sort of meals” Tyler says as he rubs his hands together and licks his lips.
I laugh, “Go on, dig in” I say and they don’t even hesitate, all going in and grabbing servings of each of the dishes. Jay helps me get mine before getting his own, and I smile at him.
“This is some good sh-” I slap Jack on the back, causing him to choke a bit.
“Language” I say and narrow my eyes at him.
“But you swore earlier-“
“Let’s eat” I say quickly, cutting Jack off by stuffing a chicken leg into his mouth to stop him from talking any further.
We continue eating, while they compliment my food nonstop. It feels nice to eat with so many people I love during the holidays. I never had family dinners on a daily basis, let alone during holidays.
My parents normally sent me up to my room to eat, saying they can’t stand the sight of me eating. I’ve never had a meal with anyone in a home, until I met Jay. I know when some people say that their significant other is important to them and that they’re their everything, they still have other things that mean just as much to them, like their family. But for Jay, he is actually my everything.
I have never had anyone care about me and treat me like he does, and it honestly feels amazing to be taken care of for the first time. Jay showed me that I can and deserve to be loved, and happy, and I’ll forever be grateful for that.
We finish eating, and I put the dishes into the sink -I’ll wash them later- and head into the living room, where everyone is seated and holding their presents.
We did a little secret santa since it was a little too expensive for everyone to buy each other things, but we still gave each other little things since we wanted to be able to show how grateful we are for each other. The small gifts were all under $20, so we all decided it was acceptable.
I had Franco, so I decided to get him a Pro Classic Series Tile since he loses everything he owns all the time. I also got him the jacket’s he’s been talking about for the past month.
We got too lazy to decide how to secretly give our presents to the person we were assigned, so we just decided to keep it a secret until the day of, and hand them the present when it was time to give the presents. We decided to go one at a time, so I went first. I went up to Franco and dropped the box into his lap. He looked up at me and smiled, thanking me.
He opened it up and a huge smile lit up on his face when he saw the jacket, and placed his presents to the side to get up and hug me. I hugged him back and we pulled away, him thanking me over and over. I just laughed and he continued looking into the present and he saw the Tile.
He looked at me confused, “The tile keeps tabs on whatever you attach it to. Just hook the Tile’s mini chip on whatever you want and when you lose it, you can use your phone to track it” I say and Franco laughs.
“This’ll be a lot of help, thanks Axe” he says and I smile.
I sit back down, and now it’s Jay’s turn. He hands the present to Pete, and Pete opens it, revealing a coffee brewer -since Pete basically lives off of coffee and his coffee machine broke down last week- and a set of coffee mugs. Pete smiles gratefully at him, in which Jay smiles back as he sat back down beside me.
Jack gives his present to Jay, and Jay opens it. I peak over his shoulder, seeing a photo frame with a picture in it. It’s a picture of us looking at each other in front of a sunset, with my arms around Jay and his hands on my waist. We were both smiling.
I smiled, “Where’d you get this?” I ask and I see Jay smile.
“I took this when we went out for that hike a month ago. Thought it was cute” he said and Jay looked up at him.
“Thank you, I love it. This is the best present you could’ve given me” he says and Jack laughs.
“Of course, it’s picture of you and your precious princess” he says and Jay nods. Jack sits back down, as Franco walks over to him. Jack takes the bag, and smiles up at him.
He opens it, revealing a personalized wallet with Jack’s name on it. There’s also a watch, since Jack always asks us what time it was since he was too lazy to take his phone out. He smiles and thanks Franco, as Franco sits back down.
Pete gets up and hands Tyler his gift, and he opens it. There are two tickets for skydiving and Tyler looks at it with such wide eyes, that I’m worried they’re going to pop out of their sockets. Tyler’s been talking about wanting to go skydiving since we first met him.
He looks at Jack and smiles, “You’re coming with me” he says as Jack sighs.
“Fine” he huffs and I laugh. Jack has wanted to go skydiving just as much as Tyler does, so I don’t know why he’s pretending he doesn’t care for it.
“Don’t even lie, you’re over the moon that Tyler got two tickets” I say and he huffs, blushing.
“Don’t expose me like that, dude” he says and I laugh.
“I purposely got two so you guys can have your fun. I know how much you guys have wanted to go skydiving, but you guys didn’t want to go without us and we’re all too much of a wuss to go. Well now you guys have no choice, they’re non-refundable” Pete says with a smile.
Tyler thanks Pete, and walks over to me, handing me the gift. I look at it, before looking up at him and smiling. I open it up and gasp. There’s a camera and a tripod in the box and I feel myself tearing up. I stand up and hug Tyler, and he chuckles before hugging me back. I can practically feel the frown Jay is sporting on his face so I pull away from Tyler, thanking him. I dropped my camera and it broke when we went hiking a month back, and I was planning on buying a new one but never had the time. I thanked Tyler again and he smiled as he went and sat back down beside Jack.
It was getting late, so everyone left. I sigh, laying down on our bed beside Jay as I hear him chuckle.
“Today was exhausting” I say as he pulls me onto his lap and I rest my head on his shoulder.
“The food you made was amazing baby” he praised and I laugh.
“Anything I do is amazing to you” I say and he hums.
“Of course” he says and I giggle, getting off of him and laying beside him. He turns off the bedside lamp and lays down next to me, pulling me into his chest. I sigh in content and slowly drift off to sleep, thinking how thankful I am for everyone in my life.
