Escaping Broken Bonds.
“You’ve got everything ready?” Malia asked the elder demon, she stood gracefully in front of Malia with a hint of annoyance and a smile, when she had heard of what the king had done she was too stunned to speak, the demons in ancient times had already been hated for their way of life, now Alquin the king was adding more to the pile of hate.
She agreed to help the young demon Malia with breaking the bond with one of the kings claimed mates because it would weaken the king sufficiently and it had to be done, no mystic was to have the kind of power the demon had, she had never wanted to think about the consequences of bonding a Wrath witch with the king, he would’ve been able to wipe out civilization with a flick of a finger.
But gladly the wrath witch was out of his grasp, many did not have the knowledge she had about the Wrath witches, but she knew the extent of their power, she was but a girl when she experienced the full scale of their power, and even now the demon kingdom had been a witness when the skies turned dark, lightning, hail, and fire rained from the heavens when he was hurt, no one paid heed to this power but she had, and was grateful Alquin never got hold of the witch.
The elder deep in thought looked at the once impetuous girl now with responsibility to carry out and committing treason for the sake of her country and her people. “I’m ready child.” The elder replied waiting for the two who would be bonded. Quickly Malia opened her wings and flew off into the night sky, she knew where to meet Lera and get him to the elder.
And as she got near she concealed herself, Lera saw Malia coming but cloaked, he and his mate did the same, because Lera’s mate was not an archdemon he did not have wings to rely on for flight. Malia landed just a few steps from the two. “After this, you’re going to the king of vampires, no one will find you there.” Malia instructed but the two were alarmed. “But the king of the vampires is loyal to Alquin, he will murder us on sight if Alquin has a say.” Lera argued and just then Villa walked out of a portal.
“But how?” Lera’s mate choked. “Anything is possible mate.” Villa replied with a smirk. “Your majesty.” It was Malia who fell to one knee addressing Villa. “It’s alright Malia, stand.” Villa instructed as the two mates were shocked. “We can discuss later, come now.” Villa asserted as a portal opened and the four walked in.
It came as a shock to most but Malia and Villa had secretly been friends, no one knew about it and no one spoke about it, in public the two seemed at odds but in private Malia was Villa’s confidante, more so than Marcos, the two knew each other since birth and Malia had cared for Villa when he first came to the demon kingdom, but the two had promised each other not to let Alquin know of their friendship, it would only further suspicion on the woman.
So as the four walked out of the portal into the elder’s home, Malia had a smile as well as Villa. “I always knew you would be a great king one day.” Malia exclaimed and the vampire chuckled. “I see you’ve taken your rightful place, your highness.” The elder remarked as she cut the palms of Lera and his mate. Villa nodded. “Good, your mother would be proud.” She added and the mention of the vampire queen had Villa feeling a pang of hurt, his mother had been killed by his own father in rage over a non-existent betrayal.
“Thank you.” Villa mumbled as the ritual began. “Goddess of our creation, I beseech you, hear the prayer of your humble servant, I cut the unrighteous bond placed on your child, I shed his blood to be purified as he is to be bonded to the mate you have chosen for him, with this blood I remove the claim and with this thread I place another.” The elder performed the ritual, Alquin’s mark faded from Lera’s wrist and with it their connection, his mate placed another claim as did he, and on both bodies, the vine like black tattoos marred their skin.
“It’s done, go now, it will take a few moments before he realizes the diminished strength.” The elder hurriedly warned. Villa immediately opened and a portal, Lera and his mate ran through. “Go, I will make sure everything is okay here.” Malia instructed and Villa nodded to the woman. “Be safe old friend.” He soothed as the portal vanished.
Malia heaved a sigh as the reality finally sunk in, this was the first blow to Alquin, she hoped it would be worth it, now it was time to watch and prepare for his reaction. “You’ve done well Malia, but there is much to be done for us all to be truly safe from him, go now, hide in shadows and orchestrate.” The elder advised and Malia spread her wings wide and jumped out the window.
An Inhuman growl that echoed for miles startled the woman, she clocked herself as flew to the source, she kept herself hidden in the sky, when she got close enough her jaw dropped. “Oh, goddess.” She mumbled as she looked down at the flowing lava, the ground had cracked and opened, lava spilled onto the earth, a circle she knew all too well was carved onto the earth. Alquin flew in the middle, from the fiery pits hell hounds, creatures of the dark, berserkers, razzarks, and assassins were crawling out, Alquin was raising an army from the depths of hell.
The woman flew quickly and steadily to get away, this wasn’t a secret she would need to keep, she knew the demons could feel the hell creatures rising, she hoped Marcos and Saytor had gone to get their bond placed, because if Alquin could raise hell creatures, he was definitely planning to raise the shadow dragons, but they needed more power, a specific power from the matriarch.
The demon flew right to the castle and searched the entirety of it with her magic, Marcos wasn’t there and neither was Saytor. “Good, they’ve gone.” Malia mumbled looking in the distance remembering what she had seen, Alquin was now showing his true strength and character, Goddess help us all, she throught to herself.

“6th Circle: Reign of Gravity.” Lake mumbled and gravity rained down on Ajax, it was so strong it invoked his own powers to fight off. The fae knew Lake definitely had the base ability of gravity. “You’re doing great, now attack.” Ajax ordered again, the pregnant witch merely paid attention to what was happening, he further instructed Ajax or Lake on their shortcomings.
He wasn’t able to fight due to him being in his third month of pregnancy but with accelerated growth from the baby, he knew once he finished his six months the baby would pop out just then. “I told you change your attack stance the moment your opponent thinks they’ve got you.” Ajax groaned when Lake hit his side with a strong blow.
“Good Lake, again.” Mier instructed as Lake lunged for the fae, he went for a head on attack but as soon as he was to land a blow on Ajax his form changed to creating a circle above the fae like his father Mier, had taught him, Ajax wasn’t surprised but proud, he raised his hand and the circle that was to release lightning rained rose leaves instead.
“Ajax well done on the counter, both of you summon your beings.” Mier instructed hovering in the air. “Fae Rite: Moore Dragon.” Ajax summoned and from the ground came a tree like dragon with a black gleam on its tough skin. Lake dropped his little jaw in shock. “You can do this Lake, even if your opponent is stronger than you, become stronger than them, now summon your being.” Mier instructed sternly.
Lake nodded. “Forbidden Circle: Wood Golem summoning.” Lake cast and from the ground his massive summoning rose, Ajax smiled as did Mier. “That’s my boy.” Mier muttered proudly as the dragon and golem fought, Ajax watched as his dragon was beaten by the golem but also take the upper hand when it curled its body around the golem crushing it till it lay still on the ground.
“That’s enough for today, I’m sure Ajax is bored of holding back.” The witch mused but Ajax laughed.”It’s never boring when training my little Knight here.” The fae defended as their summonings disappeared and Lake calmed down. The three walked back to the house as the sun dipped further in the afternoon sky. “He’s powerful and does not rely on his magic, you’ve done well in training him, but why train him so hard?” Ajax questioned.
“Because he’s the next king.” Mier replied letting the veil he had put on Lake’s body disappear, the fae gasped but also another person did as well. “Marcos.” Mier mumbled, “It came, the mark of the goddess.” Marcos exclaimed excitedly but also emotionally looking at the black moon on his son’s shoulder. “Who are you and why do you have my son, Mier who is this?” Marcos demanded but the witch chuckled.
“Relax Marcos he’s my best friend, Ajax that’s Marcos—.” Mier asserted but was cut off. “The demon matriarch who stupidly gave over his power to a tyrant.” Ajax sneered and Alquin stepped back finding refuge in Saytor, the fae’s words had more impact than they should have but he was right, Marcos had been a complete oblivious fool. “Okay that was awkward and tense, I will take Lake inside so we can all talk.” Mier interjected with a smile.
“I’m sorry I’m just abrasive I guess, I’m usually more mannered.” Ajax apologized. “No it’s okay, I shouldn’t have been aggressive either, you helped Saytor, I should be grateful.” Marcos defended and the two smiled to each other. “Congratulations by the way, and just so you know it’s a boy.” Ajax mischievously remarked stunning Saytor and Marcos. “How can you tell?” Saytor questioned.
“Demons give off a more aggressive aura when pregnant with male sons, when its females they tend to be soft and delicate.” Ajax wistfully replied as Mier came down the stairs. “I’m sorry you couldn’t see him awake, he would have loved to see you but training wore him out.” Mier apologetically explained to Marcos who immediately hugged him.
“I missed you, and you’ve taken care of him with so much love and care, he’s growing up like I wanted and there is nothing more I could add to that, thank you.” Marcos tearfully expressed his gratitude and Mier let him cry it out. “You’ve done an awesome job with him.” Saytor added. “We can discuss later right now follow me.” The witch announced as they all made their way to his work room.
“Give me your palms.” Mier instructed and the two did as told, he cut their palms, and the blood flowed into a bowl where Ajax had mixed different herbs and rock salt along with ash clay. “Once Alquin’s claim mark evaporates immediately place your on him Saytor, Marcos do the same, my magic will remove it from Alquin and replace it with a fake one that holds no power.” The witch explained as his body glowed. “Prepare yourself for pain, Goddess of our creation, I beseech you, hear the prayer of your humble servant, I cut the unrighteous bond placed on your child, I shed his blood to be purified as he is to be bonded to the mate you have chosen for him, with this blood I remove the claim and with this thread, I place another, esphos matrim lacom vartum entat.” The witch cast his spell as Marcos screamed in pain and Saytor held him through it.
The claim mark evaporated like steam from Marcos only it was black, Saytor immediately placed his claim on Marcos and Marcos on Saytor. The two now mates embraced each other with love as their emotions filled the other. “It’s done.” Mier expressed. “Now we can talk.” The witch exclaimed.

“He killed our children!” Demons yelled as they stood in the market surrounding Tristan. “Monster!” The rebels yelled several explosions rocked the entirety of the market, demons ran for cover as the rebels were attacking Tristan openly. The fae couldn’t go anywhere he was trapped so he chose to fight as vines sprouted around him to retaliate.
“3rd Circle: Dark Typhoon.” The winds picked up as the typhoons raged around the rebels separating them from Tristan. “We want our pound of flesh your highness.” One of the leaders sneered. “You’ll have it then.” Alquin replied as dark clouds appeared above him. “In blood.”
