The next morning, Taylor, Evie, Gigi, Selena and Abigail gathered in Taylor’s penthouse suite for a hunger hotel service brunch. Their tiredness was written on their faces and each of them regretted the alcohol from the night before. But still, they showed up to have some more quality time together as everyone but Taylor and Evie had to leave in the evening.
“Thanks again for to Las Vegas guys, it was a fun night. Oh – I still need to open your presents!!!”, Taylor remembered and excitedly jumped up from the bed to get them. Taylor had gotten tons of presents and they were all piled up on the dining table. “Hm…I guess you need you tell me which belongs to whom.”, she said and frowned. Evie was excited for Taylor so open her present but she was suddenly a little scared that Taylor could read their little card out loud. She had not know that the presents would be opened in a group. She quickly went up to Taylor to pick out her present and pulled her a little closer to her face. “The card is…uh private. Don’t read it out loud maybe.”, she whispered into Taylor’s ear. Taylor’s eyes lit up for a split second and her lips formed a smile. “Alright, I want to open yours first.”.
The women sat down on the floor and watched Taylor opening her presents. The shape of Evie’s present already hinted that it was a book but Taylor was very surprised when she pulled away the wrapping paper and read the title. “Nooo you didn’t.”, she screamed and her eyes sparkled with excitement. “What is it?”, Selena asked Taylor who was busy flipping through the pages to discover the little illustrations in the book. “It’s a very special and rare version of my favourite book. I’ve wanted it for ages but it’s always sold out! How did you get it Evie?”. “I constantly checked the online shops and asked for notifications. I’m just as surprised that I managed to get it.”, Evie explained with a bright and content smile on her face. It warmed up her heart to see Taylor that excited and she loved to be the reason for it. “That’s some effort! Oh here’s the card…”, Taylor said when she noticed the card between the first two pages. Evie nervously watched her as Taylor read the card in silence with a soft smile on her lips. Evie had read the notes too many times that she was able to recite it from memory and hoped that Taylor didn’t see it as cringy. “Thank you Evie. That’s literally best present. All of it: the book and the card.”, Taylor finally said and stood up to give Evie a short but tight hug. Evie turned a little red as everyone else watched them but Taylor’s touch was worth it. “Hey! You can’t say that after just one opened present.”, Gigi protested jokingly and Evie was a bit relieved that the attention shifted away from here and Taylor moved on with opening the other presents.
Two hours, a few unwrapped presents and a tons of laughter later, the party guests left. Evie and Taylor both sat on the hotel’s king size bed while Taylor flipped through Abigail’s present; a photo album with their funniest and worst looking pictures of their long-lasting friendship. Abigail had a great sense of humour, Taylor and Evie couldn’t stop laughing as they discover pictures that got progressively worse. “I correct myself: This is the worst picture!”, Taylor announced and the two of them couldn’t hold themselves together as the page-filling close-up picture of teenage Taylor wearing a swimming cap and googles was too funny to keep a straight face. “Oh god…”, Evie said when she gathered herself. “I love Abigail’s humour. She must be a fun friend”. “Yeah she really is. She’s my longest friend and I wouldn’t know what to do without her at this point. I’m glad you too got meet. You are both the two people I’m closest with at the moment, besides my family of course.”. Evie felt her heart melting. Taylor’s words meant a lot to get and she couldn’t hold herself back from placing a gentle kiss on Taylor’s lips. “Do you wanna hear something funny?”, Taylor suddenly asked her with a secretive expression on her face. “Sure.”
“I did not only choose you as my support act because I liked your music and thought that you could put on a good show. As I said, I found your music on TikTok and but also watched your other personal videos which were so relatable and funny. I actually wanted to become friends and knew that the tour would be fun with you. Looking back,I was mayyybe already a bit attracted to you back then without knowing it but yeah…it was all more planned than I made it look like.”. Taylor shrugged her shoulders and shyly smiled at Evie whose heart almost exploded from all this cuteness from Taylor’s side. “You’re a mastermind Taylor Swift.”. “And now you’re mine.”, Taylor added and pulled Evie in for a longing kiss.
