The class had an evaluation about the do’s and don’ts of the battle which only seemed to motivate the other.
Yuki was frustrated. Not only had All Might refused to end the battle when things were so clearly going down hill, he had indirectly sent a student to the nurses office. And All Might would admit if it weren’t for the short amount of time Yuki spent healing Midoriya’s injuries, he would have been sent to a hospital.
The second battle ended probably as soon as it started.
The third battle was Yuki and Koda’s turn.
“I never did ask about your quirk.” Yuki turned to his partner who looked nervous.
“Relax,” Yuki smiled, taking out a piece of bubblegum. “Here, chew on something. It’ll calm you down. You can stay with the weapon. I’ll go take care of the heroes.”
Koda looked at Yuki’s figure as he began heading out. “I’ll let you know if one of them is on their way. Let’s get a win, shall we?”
“Third round, BEGIN!”
From what little knowledge Yuki had about his classmates he knew at least one of them had a tape quirk. As for the redhead, he wasn’t quite sure.
Quietly walking through the halls of building C he listened for any sounds.
“Do you think they have the weapon?” a voice very distant and soft was heard.
The floor beneath.
Yuki and Koda had the weapon placed on the fourth floor towards the middle of the building.
Quietly heading towards one of the stair cases to wait for an ambush, he made sure to stay calm and make his presence known as little as possible.
“They might be on the top flo–” the tape guy was caught off guard as Yuki made sure to use his cape to cover his sight.
“Sero!” the redhead shouted, charging towards the Yuki who was now clinging onto the boy, Sero’s back.
“I can’t see!” Sero shouted as he swung around in an attempt to get Yuki off his back.
“That’s kinda the point!” Yuki laughed, releasing Sero and kicking him towards the redhead before he could come any closer.
The two heroes losing their footing tumbled down the stairs.
Swiftly removing the right side of his cloak he jumped back onto Sero. Grabbing his arms and quickly tying them behind him.
“Kirishima!” Sero shouted, struggling against Yuki who only tightened his knees around Sero’s ribs.
“AH!”
“Sero!”
“What’s your quirk? I haven’t seen you–“
Kirishima hardened his arms almost instantly and went to swing his right at Yuki.
“You can harden your body?” Yuki asked curiously as he dodge to the left far enough for Kirishima to lose his footing over Sero’s tangled body.
Falling on top of Sero, Kirishima attempted to get back up as quickly as possible only to find himself attacked to Sero.
“What the–“
“I’m sorry, I was trying to trap him with my tape but it got you instead.” Sero apologized, voice being muffled a bit by Yuki’s cloak.
The heroes were tangled up and stuck together as one, and only one of the villains stood a couple steps up smiling at the situation.
“That nearly broke me into a sweat.” Yuki let out a heavy sigh. His shoulders hurt a tad bit from the struggle with Sero and his elbows.
“Villains win!”
“Have you calmed down?” Yuki asked Koda who was chewing on the gum.
Koda slowly nodded.
“That’s good.”
Class was over. Yuki stole a quick glance at Bakugo who had been quiet this entire time. Feeling slightly guilty about punching him, he debated whether or not to walk over and apologize.
“Good work, everyone!” All Might shouted once they reached the tunnel.
“We didn’t have any major injuries other than young Midoriya.” Yuki sent All Might a glare to which All Might tried to ignore it by looking the other way.
“You guys took this seriously. You all did a good job for your first training.”
“Young Satori! Feel free to head over with recovery girl later. Now then, I must review the results with young Midoriya! Change and return to the classroom!” All Might dismissed the class before leaving them in his dust, literally.
“All Might’s amazing!”
“Why is he in such a hurry?”
You can’t run away from Recovery Girl’s and my complaints forever, Toshinori-san.
The changing rooms were filled with conversation about “what ifs” and “had I done this instead of-” Yuki didn’t really care, he only wished his battle hadn’t lasted less than 7 minutes.
“Satori! I didn’t even know you were there!” Sero shouted buttoning up his shirt.
“Yeah man! How’d you do it?” Kirishima asked, still shirtless.
Yuki just stared at the pair. “I practiced.”
“What kind of training did you do?” a yellow haired boy asked.
“I wouldn’t call it trai-” Yuki quickly stopped himself. He was about to pull off the white shirt, almost forgetting where he was.
“It was just something I picked up on growing up. So I can’t really recommend any way to train.” Yuki smiled, kicking off his shoes.
“Darn.”
When the attention was no longer on his he quickly took off his white shirt and slipped on his uniform.
What he hadn’t realized was the frown that grew upon catching a glimpse of Yuki’s torso.
Yuki had been excused for the rest of the day by Recovery Girl who wanted Yuki to heal Midoriya a bit more before healing him herself. After all, her healing required the stamina of the person being healed. And Midoriya certainly didn’t have enough for a full on healing session with her.
“He’s still out?” Yuki asked, placing his back next to the bed Deku was currently occupying.
“He hasn’t woken up, No.” Recovery Girl sighed.
“The state of his arms will get worse if this continues.” Yuki sighed, hands glowing soft blue as they hovered above the burn mark.
“Indeed they will.”
Yuki healed as much as he could without straining Deku’s body. Yes, Yuki could heal Deku all the way. But him being conscious was needed for his brain to process the healing. Otherwise, phantom pains could occur or his body could jump into hyperdrive with self healing of tissues/muscles. Yuki’s quirk could basically cause autoimmune disease if he wasn’t careful.
And an autoimmune disease was definitely something he could not cure.
“The school year just started and he’s already been in here three times!” Recovery Girl scolded All Might, or in his sickly looking form, Toshinori, as soon as the man made a visit to the Nurses Office.
“Why didn’t you stop him, All Might?”
“I apologize, Recovery Girl.” Toshinori bowed before turning to Yuki and also bowing. “I apologize to you too, Satori-kun. I’m sure being there made you anxious.
“Damn right it did!” Yuki huffed, wrapping Midoriya’s right arm.
“What are you apologizing to us for? On top of his total exhaustion he was here just yesterday.” she reminded him.
“I had to pull Yuki-kun out of classes for the rest of the day for him to heal the boy as much as his body would allow! We can’t treat him all at once without there being problems.”
“But I thought Satori-kun was able to–“
“I can heal him here and now! But he’s still human, and Human Bodies are built on a delicate balance!” Yuki scolded, now sitting on Midoriya’s bed as he crossed his arms.
“Doing it all at once at the intensity it would require me to heal will only increase the chances of the body attacking itself.”
Recovery Girl sighed. “We did first-aid treatment already, so after the IV is finished, we can only wait for his body to heal slowly overnight. Jeez, I know he’s your favorite and that you passed on your power to him, but that doesn’t mean you should spoil him!”
“Recovery Girl!”
“Wait, that’s possible?” Yuki asked, looking over to his sensei.
“What? He was eventually gonna find out! Might as well tell him now. Yuki-kun, take care that this doesn’t get out to the public. Who knows what trouble that’ll cause.”
Yuki only nodded.
Toshinori looked at Yuki who had simply accepted the new information as he had about his normal form and All Might form.
“You’re not going to ask questions?” he asked cautiously.
Yuki sent him a look of sertanty, “He was quirkless, wasn’t he.”
The silence only confirmed it. “What kind of training was he doing and how long? Maybe I could help in that aspect so his body adjusts quicker.”
Toshinori didn’t dare meet the young boy’s eyes, “…10 months.”
“HUH?!” Yuki shouted, shooting up.
“Then it’s no wonder his body is always getting mangled up! Jeez! I want the routine and diet you gave this poor soul to follow! I’ll take over his diet and work something out.”
It was, unfortunately, in Yuki’s nature to worry about fitness and maintenance of quirks and the body. Even if he sometimes forgets to do so himself.
“Y-yeah…” The tall man felt small under the glare of both healers. “There is nothing I can say to that. Because I wanted to consider his feelings, I hesitated to stop the training match.”
“You should have focused more on training him to properly use your quirk before thinking about his feelings.” Yuki frowned.
“Even so, will you please not talk about One For All so loudly?”
One For All? Is that what it’s called?
“Yes, yeas, Mr. Natural-Born Hero. Mr. Symbol of Peace.”
“My injury and this form of mine are common knowledge among the U.A. teachers and a certain group of pros, but the secret for my Quirk, One For All, is known only to you, the principal, a close friend, Young Midoriya and now Young Satori.”
“Ehhh.”
“I know it’s not like you want to rest on your laurels at the top, but is being a ‘Natural-born hero’ or the ‘Symbol of Pease’ really that important?” Recovery Girl asked, shifting the conversation into more of a serious tone.
“If I no longer am, then the superhuman society will be seized by evil. This is the responsibility of those of us with this power.”
Yuki sighed along with Recovery Girl in defeat.
“If that’s the case, then it’s even more important for you to learn what it means to guide someone.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
A couple hours passed. Yuki had spent the time restocking a couple things in the Nurse’s office and gave Deku one last short healing session before returning to class to turn in his notebook.
“Yuki-kun! Is Deku alright?” Uraraka asked as soon as he walked through the door.
“Yeah, he’s alright. But once he’s all fixed up I’m gonna make sure to beat him myself.” Yuki glared at the sudden frustration of Deku and his self-destructive nature.
“O-okay…?”
“Oh, Midoriya’s here!” Kirishima shouted to the class. It was a little past 4 in the afternoon now.
“Good work! Man I don’t know what you were saying during the match, but you were fired up!”
“I can’t believe you fought evenly with Bakugo, who was first in the entrance exam!”
“You did a good job dodging!”
“You were far from elegant, but–“
“You did a good job dodging!”
“Oi! Stop praising him for his self-destructive actions!” Yuki shouted at his classmates who surrounded Deku, throwing compliments. “Midoriya! You need to get your quirk under control, you little turd!” Yuki shouted, pointing an accusing finger at the green curled head.
“Yes, sir!” Deku replied quickly.
“I’m Kirishim Eijiro. We’re all going over the training together right now.
“I’m Sero hanta.”
“I’m Aoyama Yu–“
“I’m Ashido Mina! You did a good job dodging!”
Is that all she cares about?
“I’m Asui Tsuyu. Call me Tsu-chan”
Turning to the megan he let out a heavy sigh, “Iida-kun, I’m going on ahead.” grabbing his things and leaving the classroom.
“I’m too tired of this crazy shit already.”
