(Y/N)’s POV
I sat next to Izuku on the hospital bed. His fight with Bakugou was pretty brutal and he ended up breaking his arm from using One For All past his capasity.
Recovery girl already healed him but he got so exhausted from her quirk that he basically passed out on the spot.
(Y/N) “*sigh* Damn it! I knew i should have killed his dream of becoming a hero the second he got it! Ugh…”
Sorry Izuku… you’re just not strong enough…
I then heard a knock on the infirmary door. It opened and in walked Uraraka, Iida, and Kamita.
They all had a look of concern and walked next to me.
Uraraka “is he alright?”
(Y/N) “He’s… fine. He broke his arm with that blast. Recovery girl told him to rest since her quirk takes up a lot of his energy.”
I looked back down at the floor past my feet.
Kamita “you sound… angry.”
(Y/N) “I’m just… frustrated! He doesn’t need to be a hero and yet he’s so Hell-bent on this little fantasy of his despite the fact that he can barely control his quirk at all!”
The others went silent. Uraraka put her hand on my shoulder and rubbed it gently to try calming me down.
Uraraka “well… i think there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be a hero! Sure, it’s a little high-stakes but it’s for the greater good.”
(Y/N) “it’s fine if you’re capable of bearing the weight… and Izuku isn’t.”
I got up from my chair and made my way to the door.
Kamita “w-where are you going?”
(Y/N) “going to get some fresh air. Seeing him like this just makes me feel… you know what, nevermind.”
I walked out the room and closed the door behind me. I heard some bickering behind me but i didn’t care. I just walked further down the hallway, trying my damndest to keep my quirk under control.
Not far ahead, I caught a glimpse of the person i wanted to see even less than Izuku… All Might.
I stopped a few meters in front of him. That damned smile and perked hair along with his outlandish muscles. The very definition of ‘hogging the spotlight.’
All Might “Has your brother woken up?” His voice was still deep but much more restrained than usual. Not his flary super-hero tone.
(Y/N) “not yet.”
The atmosphere was tense as i glared at All Might menacingly. I may be in a ‘hero’ course, but I have no problems with killing if the need arises. In fact; I’m contemplating it right now. What would happen should I fire an orb of energy at him and force his heart to explode? Would the League of Villains finally disperse? Will another hero take his place? – but then again, i doubt any could be as flashy as him… or will Izuku finally drop this delusion of his…
(Y/N) “I know about the quirk you gave Izuku.”
All Might seemingly flinched a bit.
(Y/N) “Before you blame him, no. He didn’t tell me anything.”
All Might “Hmm… of all people, you were the one who i thought might caught on to it. So i suppose it’s not much of a shock.”
All Might stopped his pondering and looked me in the eye.
All Might “But i ask that you keep this a secret. Both for his sake and everyone else’s.”
(Y/N) “If you really cared about him, you would have put an end to his dream of becoming a hero in the first place.”
My voice dripped with venom as i focused my gaze on All Might. Using all my energy to restrain myself from killing him then and there.
(Y/N) “he’s weak. And doesn’t have the capability to become a hero. All you’re doing is feeding his fantasies only for it all to crumble around him later.”
All Might stood silently and listened. The smile on his face seemingly dropped.
(Y/N) “he’s gotten himself into situations of life-threating danger all because of you, Symbol of Peace. And for that… i will never forgive you.”
A few seconds of silence passed between the two of us but he answered eventually.
All Might “i understand. And i won’t deny my involvement even though i shouldn’t have… you the right to be angry with me and i won’t hold it against you. I understand if you won’t forgive me and i won’t force you to. but… know that your brother has a dream of becoming a hero and to protect the lives of those who cannot protect themselves. He imbodies all that a hero should be, and i won’t ever stop to push him to achieve his dream. No matter what you think of him, i believe that he will be humanity’s best hope for a brighter future.”
I listened to all that he said.
(Y/N) “alright… train him all you want. Guide him to whatever fantasy he has in his head…”
I took a step forward until i was only a few inches away from him.
(Y/N) “but if Izuku fails to become a hero after all the sacrifices you’ve forced him to make, I’ll kill you… and every last hero in this world…”
All Might only nodded. It was then i heard the sound of a door opening. Looking back, i saw Izuku walking with Iida and Kamita’s help and Uraraka walked in front of them.
Izuku looked to me and smiled brightly.
Izuku “(Y/N)!”
I couldn’t bear to think of him after that exchange… i turned away and walked past All Might, ignoring Izuku’s calls and disappearing from their view when i turned a corner.
*Izuku’s POV*
Huh…? Did i say something wrong…?
(Y/N) walked away leaving All Might looking aimlessly in the middle of the hallway. It may be because i just woke up and my vision is still hazy but All Might almost looked…
