The sky was getting dark.
It was going to rain.
And that won’t change his situation.
The clouds outside his room were dark. Tawan saw dark clouds coming over Bangkok.
And that was just a small detail in the whirlwind of thoughts that occupied his mind.
He took his landline phone out of its case, looking vaguely at the various buttons on the handset.
He waited patiently, his gaze fixed on the buttons, sitting on the chair in front of his desk, the landline in his hands. He calmly dialed the number he knew by heart and waited. He tried again at least four times before he got an answer.
“Hello, honey?”
Tawan held the phone to his ear.
“Mom ?”
“Honey, what’s wrong? You look tired.”
“Mom…”
Tawan couldn’t suppress the tears in his eyes, he couldn’t stop his voice from cracking. “Mom…”
“My baby ? You’re worrying me…”
Tawan swallowed the lump in his throat. “No mom, it’s just emotion, it’s been a long time since I heard your voice. Is dad there?”
“I understand, honey. I missed you too. Your father is in his office, do you want to talk to him?”
“No mom, I just wanted to hear your voice.”
“Are you sure, honey? Mr. Korn called us, he informed us of your… situation…”
“I’m sorry mom.”
Tawan wiped the snot from his nose with the back of his hand. His cashmere sweater was ruined.
“Oh don’t worry honey, Mr. Korn explained to us how it happened, you didn’t really have a choice did you?”
“Really?” Tawan desperately hoped that he had told them the truth. “Yes, he said it was a mistake but he and his family decided to take responsibility. You don’t have to worry my baby, we will come see you as soon as possible.”
“Mom… thank you.”
“It’s okay, sweetheart. Just focus on school, okay? These things happen. We’ve all been pregnant. You’ll be fine, I’ll make sure I’m here to help you through it all.”
“Thank you, Mom.”
“Your father kisses you, huh? I have to leave you, my darling, my sewing club starts in an hour. Goodbye, my darling, mom kisses you very much.”
“Goodbye mom. I love you.”
The line went silent before he could hang up.
Tawan found himself staring at the phone in his hands again.
The omega robotically got up from his seat and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth. He had to go to bed soon. Tawan looked at himself in the mirror. As he expected, he looked horrible. His beautiful glowing skin looked sickly, dark circles highlighted his dead eyes and he had lost a lot of weight. He hated what his reflection showed him, he wanted to live, but not like this.
This family had destroyed him.
They had taken everything from him.
An irresistible urge to take revenge seized him, followed by a feeling of nausea that made him rush to the toilet bowl to vomit the contents of his stomach. He spat out acid, having nothing else to vomit, he hadn’t eaten in the last few days and no one had cared. Tawan flushed the toilet and returned to the sink to brush his teeth.
A throbbing headache pounded in his skull. It felt like someone was hammering a nail into his head.
He heard whispers, voices he couldn’t silence, mocking laughter that kept him awake every night. He didn’t want to hear it anymore. Tawan shook his head to chase them away and clapped his hands over his ears then curled up under the sink.
He opened his eyes to see the face of a smiling alpha in the tiles.
Tawa screamed and punched the wall.
Tears were streaming down his face.
He pulled his legs closer to his chest and cried harder. He was so scared, he needed help, but he didn’t know who to turn to. No one could help him, he couldn’t even tell his parents the truth, what would he do anyway? He didn’t want to worry them.
Tawan stood there in the cold staring into space.
He heard his bedroom door open and a voice calling him, getting no answer the person left.
The door closed.
Tawan finally got up a few minutes later, his legs hurting from the position he had been in for several minutes.
The omega returned to his leg and caught the scent of another omega, surely a maid since fresh laundry had been placed in a basket on his bed.
Despite his fatigue, Tawan began to put his clothes away in the drawers. He picked up his clothes one by one in order to put them away in different drawers. He repeated this movement several times until he found a blank sheet of paper between two shirts.
Tawan had to summon all his self-control not to flinch in surprise. He knew there were cameras in this room.
Tawan crumpled the paper in his hand until it was just a small white ball in his palm and calmly continued to put away his laundry.
Once he was done, he went back into the bathroom and closed the door behind him. He undressed while keeping the ball of paper with him and stepped into the bathtub. He closed the glass door of the shower.
Tawan let the hot water run in the bathtub, waited for the steam to rise and fog up the walls of the shower before unrolling the piece of paper in his palm.
Tawan could only read a few sentences scribbled in black pen.
« We know you have reason to seek revenge on the Theerapanyakul, Tawan. If you truly desire it, follow these instructions.
                      WTK FAMILY»
Tawan read the message over several times and then ran it under the hot water. The sheet of paper quickly crumbled and disappeared into the bathtub water.
He later removed the stopper from the bathtub and observed the hot water being sucked up through a siphon, removing all evidence of the message’s existence.
Tawan sighed happily for the first time in weeks.
He felt peace.
He might as well take a shower since he was here.

“Sir, your drink.”
“Place it on the bar counter.”
The man placed the drink on the said place before quickly leaving. Kinn took the glass and savored it as he watched the lights of Bangkok shine brightly under a cloudless night sky, a thousand thoughts running through his mind.
And alcohol helped to relieve stress.
“Khun Kinn. Report.”
“Speak Big.”
“The results of the DNA traces left by your omega have been delivered to us.”
Kinn turned back to his chief bodyguard, finally showing interest in him. He didn’t react to the beta having entered his office unannounced, his mind was preoccupied with something else.
“Why did it take so long?”
“Khun Kinn, a mistake was made; the samples were sent to a public lab and not a private one as you requested, we were put on a long queue.”
“Okay, give it to me.”
Big seemed hesitant. “Sir.. I think we should let it go…”
“Big. The report.”
The beta handed him a blue folder with the logo of a large public hospital. Kinn raised an eyebrow at the report in interest and poured himself another glass of alcohol before settling comfortably into a white leather chair.
Big opened his mouth to protest but Kinn gave him a look that made him shut his mouth.
Big watched his alpha leaf through the medical report with interest, seeing his expression change throughout his reading. Big saw him break the glass of alcohol in his hand.
Big closed his eyes and prayed to all the gods that Porsche would make it out alive. A single thought occupying his mind…
RUN PORSCHE
Kinn didn’t seem to care about the pain caused by the shards of glass penetrating his skin, he clenched his fist around the broken pieces with surprising coldness.
Big couldn’t bear to see the blood dripping from his hand and staining the pearl-colored seat he was sitting on.
“K-khun K-kinn… y-you’re hurting yourself…”
Kinn’s anger was palpable, even a beta like him was forced to cock his neck to the side, submitting to the alpha. Kinn finally stood from his seat and dropped the medical report on a coffee table.
“Big, where is my omega?”
“In his room Khun Kinn.”
The alpha didn’t answer for a moment. He stood in the middle of his office, his dark gaze fixed on his mahogany desk. When Big followed his gaze, he came across a picture frame, a photo of Kinn and Porsche smiling at the camera.
The alpha growled and grabbed the portrait, smashing it on the ground in anger.
“How could he… how dare he lie to me this whole time! He looked me in the eye and lied to me!”
Kinn screamed in frustration, picking up the photo inside the broken frame and tearing it into pieces.
“How could he!?”
The alpha finally faced him, his eyes completely red and blood staining his face. He looked completely crazy.
“Big, get the car ready. We’re going out.”
Big bowed his head and nodded silently. Thirty minutes later, Kinn was walking into an old building, his bodyguards walking coldly behind him. The medical staff of this cheap hospital were moving out of his way on their own, nurses were cowering on the floor, and parents were hugging their children.
Kinn pushed open the door to a specific room, nearly ripping it off its hinges. The alpha easily spotted his target, a man in a hospital gown sitting in a wheelchair facing a window. The nurse changing the IVs screamed in terror at the terrifying men entering the room and ran for her life. She left the room without asking for more, clutching medical files in her arms.
Kinn ignored her in favor of storming the half-asleep man who snapped his eyes open, out of sheer survival instinct. He screamed and struggled as he was lifted from his wheelchair and slammed against the window, the glass cracking.
A gesture that surprised all the men present in the room because their leader never got his hands dirty, that was to say how angry he was.
The sick man’s terrified gaze fell straight down where he saw cars passing by and then quickly went back up to the alpha who was holding him by the collar. His shoulder screamed directly in pain from the impact.
“Ahahahah!!!! LET ME GO! LET ME GO!!!!!”
He finally fell silent when he understood the gravity of the situation he was in. No one seemed to listen to his pleas. The poor man instantly recognized the man holding him and remembered with horror how he had put five bullets in his shoulder without blinking.
A wave of terror washed over him.
“What was his name!?”
Somchai sobbed.
“I DON’T KNOW! I DON’T UNDERSTAND! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!?”
Kinn dropped him like trash and pulled out his gun and pointed it at him. Somchai pissed himself as he looked at the barrel of the gun pointed at his head; tears fell from his eyes on their own.
“I won’t repeat myself, what was his name?”
Somchai sobbed, his instincts torn between fleeing and staying put. Fear paralyzed him, his brain working at the speed of light to come up with an answer that would get him out of this situation and satisfy the alpha.
“He-he-he-he,” he finally said in a shaky, halting voice.
Kinn removed the safety from his gun, earning a terrified scream from the beta who crawled miserably on the ground to escape.
“WHAT WAS HIS NAME!?”
“PORSCHE! SHIT! HIS NAME IS PORSHE! HIS NAME IS PORSCHE! THAT’S THE NAME OF THE OMEGA I SOLD SUPPRESSORS TO! I GAVE THE HEAT ACCELERATORS TO HIM!”
Somchai was going to shit himself, he was terrified and had closed his eyes in sheer terror. His instincts were screaming at him to escape. Fear overcame reason. He stood up before anyone could react, ran to the window, pushed the sliding door aside and stepped out onto the balcony, clearly intending to jump into the void.
The sound of a detonation rang out.
Everything happened in slow motion before that gunshot. The black guards reacted instantly, they ran towards the beta to stop him from jumping but Kinn was faster. He saw the terrified man look at him before jumping, he saw him put a leg over the safety railing in terror. Kinn could not restrain the wave of bloodthirsty anger that poured into his veins.
He fired, shooting the man in the head.
He saw the man’s body freeze and fall into the void. A sickening noise resounded, followed by several terrified screams a few seconds later.
Kinn closed his eyes to calm down, finally accepting the harsh truth, his fingers shaking slightly around his gun before he tightened his grip and stopped the shaking.
He had thought that maybe he was wrong, the report had been falsified… Reading this report, it was not difficult to connect the dots.
Everything pointed to Porsche.
Porsche had lied to him again.
He had dared to lie to him
He had taken him for a fool.
The alpha put his gun away. Even Somchai’s death couldn’t dampen his rage.
“Ken, damage control. Big, follow me.”
The two bodyguards nodded to the orders. Ken ordered some of the men to make it look like a suicide and Big followed the alpha through the hallway accompanied by some of the men.
Kinn left the hospital and got into a car waiting for him outside. The car quickly set off.
“ETA before arriving at the Compound ?”
“Twenty-five minutes, sir.” the driver replied calmly.
“Porsche position ?”
“Checking Khun Kinn,” Big replied, tapping his communicator. He spoke softly, asking for answers from the other person on the other end of the line while tensing up throughout the conversation.
He remained silent for the next ten minutes.
“Big, where is Porsche?”
Big had no choice but to answer. “He’s gone sir…” Big knew that if he wasn’t in a moving vehicle, Kinn would have beaten him.
The alpha prime laughed cruelly.
“I should have expected it from him. Find him. Find him now,” he ordered, pushing aside his alpha’s emotions in his head.
“A search has already been launched, Arm is checking the surveillance cameras. Should we continue towards the Compound sir?”
“No, towards the minor family’s mansion.”
–
Few hours earlier…
Porsche knew when he woke up that morning that it was going to be a bad day. And that was confirmed when he heard a sharp knock on his bedroom door.
The omega ignored them, overcome with an immense feeling of laziness. No one ever knocked before entering his room so he wasn’t going to make the effort to get up to answer either.
After a while, he sighed, put on his red slippers and got up to go answer it when the knocking on the door became more insistent.
Getting on his two legs, Porsche went to open the door to find Pete? One of Kinn’s bodyguards. The beta seemed panicked and a few beads of sweat were beading on his forehead.
“P-pporsche! Porsche!”
“Pete ?”
“Porsche, you have to listen to me.”
“What ?”
“Porsche, you need to leave this place. You are in danger.”
Pete grabbed his hands and pulled them inside the room before closing the door behind him. Porsche let him do so, confused. Leave? Why? He didn’t have time to verbalize his thoughts before Pete had him seated in Kinn’s favorite seat.
“Listen Porsche, I want to help you.”
“Pete, you scare me.”
Porsche then remembered the shooting that had happened a week before and became frightened. Maybe they were under attack again, he should call Kinn and-
Pete took his phone from his hands and crushed it under the heel of his combat boots.
“Wait what are you doing!? Are you crazy!? Why did you do that!? I have to call Kinn!”
“You don’t understand Porsche, this is about Khun Kinn.”
Pete put my hands on his shoulders and looked Porsche straight in the eye.
“Porsche, Khun Kinn knows everything…”
The confusion on Porsche’s face only made Pete more desperate. “He knows about Passion Love, he figured it out. He knows you’re his omega. He figured out your child is his. Big’s been working on this case for a while, he figured it out Porsche and he’s coming for you.”
The beta grabbed him by the arm and dragged him toward the exit, and Porsche let him do it again, completely livid. Porsche stepped back and abruptly removed his reddened wrist from the other man’s tight grip. He stepped back again until he had a safe distance between himself and Pete.
“No, I’m not going anywhere with you.” The omega looked at his red slippers, “I’m going to face Kinn…”
Pete was taken aback for a moment.
“You don’t understand. I don’t want him to hurt you Porsche… I’ve never spoken to you but you’re a good person Porsche, I don’t want you to suffer. You don’t know who Khun Kinn is, he’s a crime boss, a drug lord. You’ve never known his darkest parts… I don’t want you to suffer Porsche.”
Pete walked towards him in a complete panic as Porsche backed away shaking his head.
“You lied to him a lot Porsche, you are special to him but even he has limits.”
“No… he won’t hurt me, we’ll talk,” Porsche whispered. “He’ll understand.”
Kinn had always done it, he had always understood it. He would understand even if it was probably his biggest lie. He loved Kinn, he wanted to stay with him, the alpha was willing to make so many concessions for him and Porsche would do the same.
He still had a hard time accepting that his friend was up to his neck in shit. Kinn was not a good person, morally speaking, he killed people, he hurt others, he was no different from the violent loan sharks who came to harass him.
Porsche had seen him kill people calmly, as if he were shooting cardboard targets at a shooting range.
He wished he wasn’t a criminal, Porsche had been around that kind of person his whole life and knowing that his best friend was one didn’t really make him happy.
It was extremely difficult for him to accept. However, he had chosen to stay, Kinn had chosen him, he had forgiven him for all his lies… he couldn’t change Kinn, he had to accept him with all his flaws, all his dark sides.
Kinn would understand…
Porsche trusted him.
“I’ll stay.”
Pete huffed, “Porsche, do you know why Tawan came to see you the other day?”
Porsche shook his head. “No…”
“That’s because he lost Khun Kinn’s good graces.”
Porsche froze. Tawan… Tawan’s terrified appearance, his warnings, his frightened attitude. Porsche hadn’t understood it until now.
The conversation he had with Tawan suddenly came back to him with clarity. «Porsche, be careful, they’re watching you, you don’t really know who Kinn is, they’re watching you, they’re closer than you think. Your brother is being watched too. I don’t know what they have planned for you but it’s awful Porsche.» «No… it’s not that, it’s not like that. You don’t understand. He’s cheating on you Porsche, if I fail, they-they’ll come to you.»
They will come to you. They will come for you.
“What did Tawan do?”
“He lied about being pregnant and Khun took it very badly. He pushed the omega to the brink of suicide. Khun Kinn can’t stand being cheated on. He can’t stand being lied to, he can’t stand unfaithful omegas. If Tawan is in this house, it’s because of Khun Korn.”
So that’s why Kinn’s father had come to him with the omega. To tell him to leave your son alone. Kinn had a perfect omega and an heir on the way but he still got attached to a piece of trash like him.
Porsche ran his hands over his stomach and felt a lump form in his throat, a certain coldness seizing him, spreading over the layer of sorrow he felt. There was no place for them in this house. He didn’t know how Kinn would react, he didn’t know how Kinn’s family would react, he was clearly not welcome, everyone had made that clear to him, even the cleaning ladies who came to collect his laundry.
“How can I trust you?”
“Porsche, I’m literally risking getting killed by coming to help. You have to trust me.”
Porsche swallowed the lump in his throat and decided to follow Pete. He didn’t have time to think. He had to save his child. He didn’t want his child to grow up in such a family or be considered an illegitimate heir.
“I’ll follow you.”
Pete sighed in relief.
–
Getting out of the Compound was easier than he thought. The two of them walked calmly through the huge house, Pete nodding to the various guards they passed, occasionally flashing a badge when necessary.
Anxiety, fear and anguish filled Porsche’s heart, but he tried not to let anything show and not to meet anyone’s gaze.
There was nothing he could do but run. Run like a coward, abandon the alpha once again. Running from his problems was easier than he thought.
Porsche had never thought about running away, he thought everything would be fine, a naive part of him thought Kinn would never find out the truth. If he had known that leaving Kinn that morning would lead him to sneak out of a fortress filled with armed men, Porsche would have stayed in that room, he would have played the innocent card, who knows, maybe he could have gotten away with it without too much emotional damage.
But now he was terrified, afraid that Kinn would find out about his escape or that one of his men would shoot him. He had no choice, he had to put his child’s safety first. He wished he could getsomething that would tell him what to do.
He was so caught up in his thoughts that he did not hear or feel anyone coming.
“Where do you think you’re going Porsche?”
Porsche felt his heart skip a beat in his chest when he heard his name called out behind him. By a voice he knew far too well and that had absolutely no business being here.
Pete and Porsche stopped in their tracks. Pete turned to face the voice but Porsche didn’t have the courage to do so, his heart skipped a beat. He didn’t understand how this voice and these pheromones could be here.
“I almost expected it. It would have been too good if you hadn’t tried to escape.”
“Wik.”
“It’s me Porsche.”
The young alpha laughed at his fright.
“By the way, my name is Kim Kimhan Theerapanyakul, third son of the Theerapanyakul family.”
Porsche felt his heart tighten in his chest. He finally faced the young alpha. He saw him twirling a gun in his hand with a smirk plastered on his lips.
Porsche realized he had let a wolf into his house and devour the only lamb he had. He didn’t even have the strength to confront the young alpha, feeling helpless. What he thought was that he had promised his brother he would give the bastard a chance. He wanted to scream, yell, maybe even manhandle him but didn’t have the courage to do it.
“By the way Porsche, it was really good to be with your brother.”
Porsche could only endure the shame and humiliation. If he had any doubts about leaving this place and being family before, now he would definitely do it. Porsche was going to take his brother and leave this place forever.
“Why ?”
Why was all Porsche could ask for. Why.
“Because I never got a sniff of you. You looked way too perfect not to be hiding something.”
“Why my brother?”
“He was the easiest way to learn more about you two. Approaching him was a breeze, and gleaning information was even easier. Chay is gullible, so easily manipulated.”
Kim laughed at him. “I think my brother would like to talk to you once he gets back. It would be really rude of you to let him down. Don’t you think so, Porsche?”
“I don’t want to talk to him. And you’re not going to stop me from leaving this place, Kim.”
Pregnant or not, he won’t let the Theerapanyakuns catch him.
He couldn’t let himself be humiliated by an alpha who was still teething.
“Fuck you.” Porsche couldn’t stand it anymore, he grabbed Pete by the hand and ran, tears of anger and frustration burning in his eyes.
“Stop Porsche!”
Kim swore, not expecting Porsche to run away. He had never been able to sniff out the omega, he found him too perfect, too nice, his brother’s best friend who had nothing to hide but who ultimately hid a whole bunch of secrets. Fuck, and he had hidden it well. Porsche didn’t look like an omega, not even a little.
Porsche was running because his life depended on it, he didn’t know where he was going but suddenly the sirens started to sound.
“This way Porsche.”
His blood flowed faster through his veins, adrenaline pumping through his arteries, making it hard for him to think about what he had just discovered: his brother’s boyfriend was Kinn’s brother, a fucking criminal who seemed more twisted than Kinn himself.
Sirens were wailing in his ears, men were running in all directions but Pete and Porsche managed to blend in. Seeing the scenery become less luxurious and more monotonous, Porsche understood that they were in the servants’ quarters.
“Hold this.”
Pete handed him some gray clothes.
“Change yourself.”
Porsche didn’t ask any questions and changed silently, feeling only a slight discomfort at getting naked in the middle of a hallway, even if it was poorly lit.
Once dressed, Pete pushed a shopping cart in his hands and together they walked through this part of the building until they found themselves in front of a rather ordinary door.
Pete pushed the door open and revealed a street market.
“How ?”
“To make it easier for the servants. The Compound itself is quite large in itself. It is not made up of a single building but several interconnected ones. The medical wing you were in is quite far from the quarters of the main family members.”
It was dark and the cool night air made him shiver under the thin fabric of his cotton clothes. Porsche looked up at the sky and could see big black clouds moving.
It was going to rain.
The smell of street food filled his nostrils and his stomach growled.
Pete chuckled slightly at the sound.
The crystal clear sound startled Porsche. He stared in wonder at the beta. Pete was handsome, a quiet, charming beauty. He wasn’t breathtaking, he didn’t make you say “Wow” when you saw him. He was that cute boy that girls loved. He was easy on the eyes, like the kind of model he saw in beauty product magazines.
Porsche felt he could trust him.
“We don’t have time for food. They’ll have all the exits and entrances guarded soon. Come on.”
They blended easily into the crowd. Pete passed for a young office worker on his way home because of his white shirt and black tie, and Porsche passed for a simple servant who had been sent to do the shopping for that evening’s dinner.
Pete couldn’t help the guilt that washed over him. Porsche really did trust him.
Guilt ate at him like acid.
He remembered perfectly the conversation he had with Vegas a few hours earlier. The alpha’s words echoed in his head.
–
Pete sobbed as he pushed Vegas’ dick deeper into his throat, his eyes watering and his throat sore.
“Come on, deeper. I know you can do it.”
The hand that was tugging on his hair pushed his head further down, almost choking him on the alpha’s dick. His nails dug into Vegas’ thighs, tearing the fabric of his leather pants. Pete pulled back to signal Vegas to stop, he couldn’t take it anymore but the alpha only laughed and pulled his head back, finally freeing his mouth from that monstrous dick.
Pete couldn’t help but gasp and shudder, a trickle of drool running down his chin. His mouth tasted salty and a little bitter from the precum. He wiped it away with the back of his hand and looked up at the alpha. He was met with a lust-filled gaze.
Vegas patted his head like one would a dog.
“Fuck Pete, we’ve been here for five minutes and you haven’t even gotten me to come,” he said in frustration before wrapping his hand around his hard, red dick, jerking himself off as he spoke. “What’s on your mind?”
“Nothing.”
Pete stood up from his crouch and straightened his clothes, smoothing out the wrinkles in his black suit.
“We’re not sixteen anymore Vegas, if you come now I’m not sure you’ll be able to fuck me later.”
The alpha growled in response, “Fuck, you talk too much.”
Pete smiled, stepping forward to enter Vegas’ personal space, his soft brown gaze diving into the alpha’s scarlet ones. He pressed his lips to the alpha’s, then tenderly kissed the cartilage of his ear before wrapping his hand around the alpha’s aching dick.
Vegas whistled at the sensation, “Shit” he said in English.
Pete was quick to make him come with his hand. The alpha threw his head back, savoring his orgasm while biting his lower lip painfully.
Pete sighed as he dug his hands with a bloodstained handkerchief he had picked up from the floor. He slipped on his shoes then turned back to his boss who was buckling up his pants.
“What did you want to tell me?” Vegas asked after a moment, his gaze meeting the beta’s neutral one.
“Khun Kinn holds Somchai.”
“What ?”
“The main family holds Somchai, knowing Khun Kinn’s thin patience, that bastard has already spoken.
Vegas laughed in disbelief. “So what? My dear cousin won’t start a war over a mere omega. Uncle Korn will never allow it.”
Pete just smiled knowingly. “Well, why do you think the main family is cutting us off? You think Khun Kinn is blocking your credit cards just to annoy you? Because you sent some money to a rat at the bottom of the pyramid?”
“Of course not.” The alpha growled. “I didn’t think he liked that omega that much. Kinn isn’t the type to get attached to something he gets second-hand.”
“Vegas,” Pete sighed, “I warned you he wasn’t going to give up on his friend just because he thinks you fucked him. I protect Khun Kinn a lot at fact, I see him interacting with Porsche… Khun Kinn wouldn’t lose him for the world. I told you.”
“I know, I know.”
Vegas stood up from his overstuffed desk chair, the chair legs rolling across the metal floor. “Did you do what I told you? Did you get close to Porsche? Did you gain his trust?”
Pete took a moment to answer.
Feeling internally disappointed that the alpha was still obsessed with Porsche when he was right in front of him, in the flesh. Pete couldn’t help but feel a bitterness growing in his heart. In the last three weeks, he had rarely seen Vegas, because Kinn didn’t want him to hang out with him after the scene he had caused at Passion Love, but also because Pete himself didn’t want to appear too suspicious in the eyes of the high-ranking alpha.
He didn’t want Kinn to see him as a mole and push him out of his inner circle. It would be awkward for Vegas who wanted to know some of the details of Kinn’s private affairs. Pete couldn’t tell Vegas everything or risk Kinn thinking that one of his trusted bodyguards was corrupt.
He provided information to both sides, that was well known, but only to a certain extent.
Pete often found himself between a rock and the anvil , the plague and the cholera, his alpha pack and the alpha he loved. However, he must have been a small weight in the balance if Vegas still wanted Porsce so badly, even at the cost of putting his family relationships in jeopardy.
Was fucking this omega really worth it?
Is it because Porsche was an omega and he was a beta?
Vegas must have noticed his distressed look because he moved towards him to take his face in his hands. “Don’t worry baby, I only love you, but I just want to fuck Porsche and then we won’t talk about it again okay? If you want we can even have a threesome.”
Pete pulled away from his hold and sighed. “Is this really worth it? Vegas, you’re playing with fire…”
“No, I know what I’m doing. I told you I had a new plan, didn’t I?”
Pete sighed. “Which one?”
“I wanted you to gain Porsche’s trust but you didn’t my love… out of jealousy I guess. But it doesn’t matter.”
“Why did you want me to approach Porsche?” Pete looked the alpha in the eye and didn’t like the dark glint he found there.
“I wanted you to gain his trust so that you would bring him to me… if Porsche himself comes to me, why would Kinn be angry with me? After all, they say that a woman never forgets the person who deflowered her, right? It will be the same for him.”
“What are you going to do?”
The alpha smiled at him, revealing his sharp fangs. Pete shivered, a wave of itching rising from the marks the alpha had left on him a week ago.
“Kinn isn’t the only one with spies…”
Vegas went to grab a blue folder from his desk, the same one Big had given to Kinn.
Pete instantly froze upon seeing it.
“So my love, are you sure you have nothing to tell me?”
Pete had no choice but to tell what he knew. “Khun Kinn knows Porsche is the omega he fucked at Passion Love, I gave that medical report to Big myself, I made sure no one knew, even if Chan had tried for Khun Korn he wouldn’t have found anything. How did you do Vegas?”
“I’m sorry my love, I like you but I prefer to keep some secrets to myself.”
“What do you plan to do with this? How will it help your plan?”
The alpha opened the report to leaf through it lazily. “You’re going to help me get Porsche out of this mansion and bring him to me.”
Pete understood his idea but scoffed “And you think it will be easy? Porsche doesn’t trust me, I could even lie to him and he won’t believe me. Khun Kinn keeps him in the Compound like a dragon’s treasure, he doesn’t even let his own brother near him, what about me?”
“You will know what to do, I believe in you my love.”
Pete couldn’t help the heat rising in his cheeks at those flattering words. “And why would I put my life on the line for your dick? If Khun Kinn finds out, I’m a dead man. The confrontation you had with your father after the drama you caused couldn’t calm your crazy outbursts!?”
The alpha scowled at those words. In fact, Korn hadn’t been happy that his son was being publicly ridiculed and by domino effect, his father hadn’t been happy either. He had even slapped him, telling him to stop embarrassing him and causing him problems. And once again, to be more like his cousin, Kinn.
His relationship with his father had always been abusive, if he couldn’t do better than Kinn, he was often insulted or hit. That used to be enough to cool his ardor, but only for a few weeks. He was ready to try something again.
“You have to help me, I need your help my love…”, the alpha begged, wanting to touch him again, which Pete reluctantly let him do.
Pete was tired, he was exhausted, he was sick of Vegas’ infidelities, but he couldn’t tell him that, he would only appear needy in the eyes of the alpha.
They were both responsible for what was happening between them. They had tried to move on, but every time one of them hit a snag, they would end up going back to the familiarity and comfort of their twisted relationship, falling into bed with each other only to swear it was the last time, and a few weeks later, it would happen again.
It wasn’t good or healthy, but neither of them wanted to stop. Vegas was the only one who could understand him, the only one who shared his desires. Pete knew it was unhealthy, an unhealthy coping mechanism because the alpha had hurt him when he started working for the minor family too.
Pete had tried to ignore his feelings for Vegas, tried to tell himself that it would never go anywhere. Hell, he was a bodyguard and Vegas was a mafia heir.
They weren’t Cinderella.
They weren’t meant to be together.
This would lead to nothing.
He knew it was a mistake, his relationship with Vegas was a mistake, an anomaly. No one would support them, at worst, they would be taken for mentally ill. That had never stopped him.
Pete didn’t want to lose what they had between them, even if it was unhealthy, to just tell Vegas straight to do something else, to choose between Porsche and him. Pete didn’t want to lose that, he would help the alpha in his twisted plans.
If Vegas stopped after this… maybe it would be worth it… The beta closed his eyes and nodded.
“I will help you.”
The smile the alpha gave him was carnivorous.
“Thank you my love.” Vegas wanted to kiss him but Pete turned his head to the side. “On one condition Vegas.”
“And you think you are in a position to set your conditions, my love?”
“No… you just need me on this one.”
Pete locked his serious gaze with the alpha. “Promise me Vegas…promise me that after all this, if we get out of this alive…this will be the last time, you’ll never look away again.”
The alpha’s dark eyes grew impossibly darker and held a teasing glint. He smiled and kissed his beta lightly on the lips.
“I promise you my love, help me with this and it will be the last time, the last time.”
Pete nodded slowly, only half believing him. It was all he could hold on to: a simple, empty promise. Pete let the alpha drag him to the desk to fuck him, to prove him wrong earlier. He was an alpha not a beta, he had a short refractory period, he could fuck him as many times as he wanted.

Pete looked at the back of the Porsche in front of him and sighed.
I’m sorry Porsche…
“This is our means of transportation.”
Pete pointed to a yellow rickshaw further down the street.
“A rickshaw?”
“A car would have been too conspicuous here. The men checking the surveillance cameras would have quickly realised that a car was waiting here.”
Porsche agreed with his reasoning. Together they got into the two-wheeled vehicle.
“Where are we going?”
“The harbor is the safest way out of town.” Pete knew he was lying.
“Is it really necessary to leave the city?”
“Yes, if you stay here, Khun Kinn will find you before the next morning.”
“All right.”
The city was rather quiet. The temperature had dropped from its usual scorching heat. A storm was threatening and everyone was hurrying home. The streets were lit up, cars were speeding past each other and pedestrians were rushing to find shelter before the downpour.
Porsche shivered.
The sun had long since disappeared behind the tops of the skyscrapers, the streets were illuminated by neon signs of nightclubs, bars and restaurants.
Bangkok was beautiful at night, revealing its true nature, that of a city that did not sleep.
Porsche took advantage of this lull to sigh and rest, a feeling of sadness invading his entire being. He wanted to go back… he quickly pushed those thoughts away. He couldn’t go back anymore. Porsche thought of his brother and his heart sank at the thought.
He really hoped that Kinn wouldn’t be cruel enough to hurt his brother. He would leave town until things calmed down and in a month or two, he would come back. Kinn couldn’t stay angry forever and Porsche couldn’t hide forever.
He still hoped that everything would be okay, that everything would work out. It was a slim hope, but he held on to it with all his energy.
He didn’t want to give up completely, he wanted to believe, believe in this future that Kinn had dangled before him, he would fight for their future, he had made many mistakes, he understood the alpha’s anger, but he intended to fix things. Even if his heart was hurting, he had to ignore it.
“We’re changing vehicles,” Pete said after a moment.
“Where do we go now?”
Pete paid the driver for the ride and the two got out of the rickshaw once they left the city center.
“Our transportation will arrive soon.”
Porsche nodded in response and the two waited in the cold night for about thirty minutes until a black car pulled up on the other side of the highway.
“Here it is.”
A flash of lightning tore across the sky.
“Let’s go.”
A blanket of rain fell on the two men as they tried to cross the main road.
Porsche was soaked.
They walked in silence to the car, a gust of wind blew and blew his cap away, the sound of billions of water droplets filling his ears as he followed Pete’s dark figure through the night.
Several flashes of lightning tore through the sky, followed by thunder that echoed in his ears. He didn’t hear the screeching of tires and the sound of doors opening abruptly.
The next thing he knew, dozens of guns were pointed at them and dark cars were surrounding them.
Porsche shivered.
The basket he was holding fell from his hands.
Even without turning around, he knew he was there.
He was there, he could feel it deep in his soul, his omega was screaming for him. His soul was desperately searching for its other half.
Porsche took a deep, icy breath and then faced the man he was trying to escape from. Kinn’s brows were furrowed and his jaw clenched. His cold gaze fixed on Porsche as if he could see right through him.
Porsche felt weak in the knees, his heart pounding in his ears, overloading his senses. His hands had become clammy, Porsche could feel his blood pressure dropping.
Anxiety and uncertainty gripped him.
Shame assailed him, he couldn’t bear Kinn’s gaze on his figure trembling from the cold.
“Kinn…”
“Porsche.”
Even in the pouring rain, Porsche could smell Kinn’s pheromones. He could smell his anger, his rage, and… his disappointment.
The latter brought tears to his eyes.
“Let me go Kinn…” he whispered softly.
He knew the alpha could hear him, even in the pouring rain, Kinn could hear him and Porsche didn’t have the courage to look him in the eye.
“You’re not going anywhere with my child, Porsche .
The omega shook his head and wanted to back away but fear nailed his feet to the asphalt. He tried to move, to get away from there, but his feet wouldn’t move. It was as if the ground had swallowed his legs, preventing him from running away.
“Move and I’ll put a bullet in your leg.” To reinforce his point, the alpha pointed his gun at him.
Porsche didn’t even have the courage to be offended. “I will bring you back by force, even if I have to hurt you,” the alpha continued calmly.
Kinn advanced toward him and Porsche backed away, until they were only a few meters apart.
“Why are you running, why are you fleeing Porsche?” Kinn asked.
Porsche remained silent, tears flooding his eyes, mixing with the rainwater. He wanted to be touched, to be held, to be comforted, maybe it was the hormones talking but he still backed away from Pete who opened the car door for him, remaining strangely silent throughout their confrontation.
“Porsche, if you take another step, I’ll shoot you.”
Was Kinn really going to shoot? Why not, dying wouldn’t hurt any more than the pain he felt seeing Kinn point a gun at him without hesitation.
Porsche shook his head, looking torn.
“You won’t dare.”
Porsche pulled out the knife he always kept on him, grateful that he had stolen it out of sheer paranoia. It was a butter knife, but Kinn didn’t need to know that.
Porsche held the knife to his own throat and watched Kinn’s reaction. The alpha visibly tensed, his fingers curling tighter around his weapon and the cold glint in his eyes flickering.
“Put your gun down.”
“Porsche -”
Porsche pressed the knife harder against his neck, “I SAID DOWN YOUR GUN KINN!”
The alpha apologized without hesitation, he put his gun on the ground.
“Back off.”
Porsche advanced towards the alpha, silently praying that the latter wouldn’t use his pheromones to subdue him. If he did, Porsche was sure to plant that knife in his jugular. He wouldn’t accept such humiliation.
He picked up the gun Kinn had pointed at him from the ground. Porsche ignored the fact that the gun was bloody, ignored the pool of blood mixed with rainwater that was dripping onto the asphalt. He dropped the knife to point the barrel of the gun at his head.
“Now you’re going to let us go, you’re going to let us leave town, if I notice you’re following me, Kinn, you’ll lose me and the baby forever.” Porsche said the words despite the fear in his stomach, the tremors in his voice, and the guilt of using his child as leverage.
Porsche had never seen Kinn like this, so cold, something quite dark but repressed shone in his scarlet eyes. He half expected the alpha to scream at him or shoot him on sight, he hadn’t. It could only mean one thing, Pete was right, he had understood that the baby was his, he would never put his child’s life on the line.
The baby’s life, not his own. He could hurt him, he had proven that by threatening to shoot him in the leg. His well-being mattered little as long as that child in his belly remained healthy.
Porsche turned his back on the alpha.
“Tell them to put down their guns and get back in their vehicles.”
“Khun Kinn no-“
Kinn nodded silently to his men who quickly complied. Porsche headed back to the car where Pete was still waiting, his instincts screaming at him that he should never turn his back on a feral alpha.
“Porsche.”
Porsche stopped.
“Porsche, if you get in this car, you’re giving up what we’ve been through together, you’re giving up the special status I’ve given you in my life, you’re giving up everything.”
Porsche sobbed audibly, more tears streaming down his cheeks, merging with the raindrops falling from the sky. He pressed a painful hand to his stomach, the urge to give up on everything having never been stronger.
Porsche wanted to drop everything and go back to Kinn to ask for forgiveness.
But he also knew that it would be totally naive to believe that the alpha would forgive him so easily.
He wanted to throw up.
He wouldn’t fall into such an obvious emotional trap, no matter how serious Kinn was when he said those words.
Porsche faced Kinn again, he looked Kinn straight in the eye and without hesitation spoke the following words while waiting for all hell to break loose.
“I choose to leave.”
Porsche closed his eyes, turned his back on the alpha and got into the black car, leaving Kinn alone in the wind and rain, completely devastated.

Some clarifications :
Some people tell me they don’t understand why Porsche is so afraid of Kinn, why he decides to leave and follow Pete. I don’t know how to explain it, the history is there, Porsche is afraid that Kinn will find out the truth since he left Passion Love. He is terrified of it. He just wants to save his life and his child’s life, he wants to avoid confronting Kinn because he is afraid of is reaction, because he disappointed Kinn about something that was important to him.
And Kinn doesn’t guarantee that he will be understanding again. I think it would be strange if Kinn forgives Porsche everything just out of love. He has emotions too and in a way, he is hurt from being abandoned. He can’t forgive Porsche that easily this time. I’m sorry if it’s not logic.
As for Kim, my god, I don’t understand how many people didn’t understand that he was manipulating Chay. He’s just immature and paranoid. What Kim did is “normal” in their world. They use people all the time to get information. They are not good people, don’t forget that throughout the reading that the story is called Bastard for a reason. Violence, murder, manipulation, etc, is normal for them, they are criminals, mafia.
He is also confused about his feelings. It was clearly written between the lines that Kim knew the truth about Porsche when Porsche stumbled upon him and Chay. Kim was the one who delivered Somchai to Kinn, he had interrogated him before, that’s why Somchai was telling Kinn that he had already told everything even Porsche true dynamic. His clothes were stained with blood and Chay closed his eyes. He did everything to meet Chay by pure “coincidence”.
Please tell me what you think, If you have any questions or don’t understand something, write to me privately or in comments instead of telling me my story doesn’t make sense. Don’t try to influence me. If something doesn’t make sense, just tell me in the comments and I’ll try to fix it. Thank you.
PS: Has anyone wondered why Kinn and Porsche were attacked to the restaurant ?
