Two Is Not Enough I have a crush

Ron POV:

I’m sitting in the Gryffindor Common Room with my best friends of now five years, Hermione Granger and Harry Potter. Harry and I are playing chess as Hermione reads another book about unicorns or something. 

Ron: “Um… Guys… There’s something important I need to tell you.”

Hermione looks up from her book and Harry gently nudges my foot with his. It’s his way of telling me that he’s listening and ready to help.

Ron: “I’ve been thinking a lot lately… and I realized that I like boys… I like girls too… I just prefer boys… Does that even make sense?”

Harry (smiling): “Of course it does. Don’t worry buddy, we’re here for you… right, ‘Mione?”

Hermione: “Of course we are!!  Ron… Whatever happens, you’ll always be our best friend.”

Harry: “How’d you realize this?”

Ron: “I guess I’ve just felt more attracted to blokes… I don’t really know for sure…”

Harry: “Well, while we’re on the subject… I have a confession to make… I’m gay…”

I get up, knocking the chess set over as I do so, and hug Harry.

Ron: “I accept you, Harry…”

Harry (Chuckles): “Well I’d hope so! you just told us you’re into guys too!”

A few weeks have gone by eversince I told my friends I was bi. Or is it pan? I need to find more details. Anyways, we’re in Charms class with the Slytherins and my eyes keep finding Malfoy’s. At first, I had mildly blushed and looked away, but now? Now it felt like we were challenging eachother. There was a silent agreement that the first to look away would lose. What exactly? No idea, but there is no way in Hell I’m letting a Slytherin win. During our stare-off, I can’t help but notice a wink from him.  And another… Why is my crush winking at me? Does he like me too? 

I can feel the blush on my cheeks. I want to look away. Keep it together Ron! You can’t let the Slytherin win. It doesn’t matter that you’ve had a crush on him for two years. Or that you learnt his timetable by heart so that you “bump into him accidentally”. Ronald Bilius Weasley, you are not looking away!! Then suddenly, the silver eyes left the sapphire ones. Why did he look away?  I notice a very small secret smile. Why is Draco Malfoy smiling?

The bell rings for the end of the class and Malfoy walks over to me.

Malfoy: “Don’t think this means you won, Weaselbee.”

Ron: “I think it does, Malfoy.”

Malfoy: “No, it doesn’t!”

Ron: “Yes it does!”

Malfoy: “No, it doesn’t!”

Ron: “Yes it does! Admit it Malfoy! I won! I think I deserve a prize.”

Malfoy: “What do you want? A family with more money? Afamily that isn’t infested in blood traitors?”

No, Malfoy… We were having a moment, why did you have to ruin it?
