Transmigrated Into A Waste Who Married The Villain. Chapter 62: Five Years

A+ A-

Three days later, at the Han Yun Pavilion.

Qu Weiyin opened her eyes to find herself on the ground, struggling to breathe while clutching her chest.

The sunlight outside was blinding, shining through the window slats and casting shadows on the floor.

Qu Weiyin glanced down at her hands, momentarily unsure of when she was. She vividly recalled piercing Qu Chengzhou’s heart, and yet she had also been struck by his palm, causing her heart to shatter. How was it possible that she was alive?

Could it be that she had been reborn again? However, the excruciating pain in her chest reminded her that she was still in this autumn season.

Qu Weiyin picked up the pouch that had fallen to the ground, gritting her teeth against the pain as she wobbled to her feet and stumbled toward the exit. The room was empty, disturbingly silent. A few times, she nearly tripped over her trailing skirt; her disheveled hair fell across her face, making her appear disheveled and chaotic.

Where was Luo Jinxiao?

A sense of unease blossomed in Qu Weiyin’s heart. She had flown down the cliff on her sword, but due to her severe injuries, before she even landed, her body had given way, and she collapsed onto the dried, yellow grass.

At that moment, a few disciples happened to pass by. Seeing her collapsed in the grass, they hurried forward, helping her up. Once they recognized her face, they exclaimed in astonishment, “Qu—Qu Master Uncle?”

It was no wonder they were shocked; Elder He had just gathered all the disciples, saying that Qu Master Uncle had bravely sacrificed herself to eliminate a demon. They still felt a wave of sadness from that news.

They exchanged glances, with no one daring to speak.

“Where is Luo Jinxiao?” Qu Weiyin asked in a low voice, wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth.

The disciples scratched their heads and shook their heads repeatedly, saying they hadn’t seen her.

Qu Weiyin pushed past them and headed toward Wuhui Hall, intending to ask Elder Liu. The same disciples, seeing her difficulties as she staggered, offered to help her by using their swords to take her there.

Elder Liu, who was busy handling affairs, turned around to see Qu Weiyin and almost thought he was hallucinating; he dropped the letters he was holding.

“Elder Liu, where is Luo Jinxiao?” Qu Weiyin asked, clutching her chest.

Elder Liu paused for a moment before reacting. He quickly reached out to support her, guiding her to a seat. Placing his hand on her pulse, his expression turned even more astonished.

Although Qu Weiyin’s body was a disordered mess and her internal organs were far from intact, the fact remained that she was alive.

A person who had died suddenly revived—what a bizarre occurrence!

“Luo Jinxiao…” Elder Liu murmured. Could it be that Luo Jinxiao had used some method to pull Qu Weiyin back from the brink of death?

But even he felt powerless in the face of such a thing; what could a young girl like Luo Jinxiao possibly do?

Seeing how Elder Liu couldn’t explain the situation, Qu Weiyin struggled to rise once more, but Liu Elder pressed her back into her seat, his brow furrowed tightly as he shook his head. “Your body is too weak to be moving around recklessly. I will send someone to find Luo Jinxiao.”

Qu Weiyin’s hands were already clammy with sweat. Gripping Elder Liu’s arm tightly, she opened her phoenix-like eyes wide, tears glimmering in them.

“Find her,” she said weakly.

Soon, the entire sect learned that Luo Jinxiao was missing. They searched the mountains and the fields, scouring every inch for half a day but found not a trace of her. It was as if she had vanished from the mortal realm entirely.

Qu Weiyin sat in silence, not speaking or tending to her wounds, like a withered tree waiting for its much-needed rain.

As the red clouds finally appeared on the horizon, no one had brought any good news. Lu Fanzhi and Luo Ning rushed in, their clothing dusted with frost and panting heavily. “Elder Liu, we’ve searched all over Wuhui Mountain, but we couldn’t find Luo Jinxiao.”

Luo Ning’s eyes were red, and she shook her head, saying, “On that day, my sister rushed out from Han Yun Pavilion without knowing what she was doing, and we haven’t seen her since.”

“Where could she have gone…” Luo Ning began tugging at her hair in desperation.

Qu Weiyin’s vision darkened, and she nearly fainted, but Lu Fanzhi quickly caught her.

“Qu Master Uncle, you need to focus on healing. If—if Luo Jinxiao returns, she wouldn’t want to see you like this,” Lu Fanzhi said, her voice choked with emotion.

Yes, Luo Jinxiao would definitely come back. How could she just disappear without a trace? Qu Weiyin pressed her hand to her chest, unsure if it was the pain or something else; she felt the tears streaming down her face, dripping onto the floor.

Elder Liu sighed deeply.

“Usually, only the Sect Master can save those at death’s door, but now the Sect Master…”

Before Elder Liu could finish, Qu Weiyin suddenly stood up. Wiping away her tears, she dashed toward the exit without a second thought.

If the Sect Master was not dead, then Luo Jinxiao must have gone to South Dipper Peak to seek her help.

But why wouldn’t she come back? Why not at least take a moment to glance at her?

Elder Liu couldn’t stop her and exclaimed helplessly, quickly pushing Lu Fanzhi forward. “Hurry! You two must follow her closely! We cannot allow her to get into any more trouble!”

“None of you are easy to deal with!” Elder Liu exclaimed, frustrated with Luo Jinxiao’s disappearance, shaking his sleeves angrily. He bent down to pick up the scattered letters, flipping through them irritably.

Elder Mei entered, also dusted with frost, shaking her head wearily. “I finally managed to arrange for all the injured. In this incident, Wuhui Sect suffered substantial losses, including many disciples.”

“Not to mention your little apprentice, who volunteered to be exiled to Changli to guard the Demon Tower,” Elder Liu threw a letter at Elder Mei in frustration, his anger evident. “And Qu Chengzhou is conspiring with the Yan family! The Yan family has their own celestial beings to interrogate, yet he didn’t spare your little apprentice for his schemes. What a despicable creature!”

Elder Mei looked at the letter and shook her head in anger. “Since she has made the choice, let her go. After all, she’s working for the demons and has brought this upon herself.”

However, her words could not hide the darkness in her expression.

Meanwhile, Qu Weiyin stumbled her way up South Dipper Peak. Without wasting time, she drew her sword and pointed it at the two guards watching the forbidden area, her eyes red with determination. “Let me in.”

The two guards were startled, their faces paling with concern. “Qu Master Uncle, it’s not that we don’t want to let you in; there’s a new layer of barrier around South Dipper Peak since yesterday. No one can enter.”

Qu Weiyin’s gaze shifted into the void, and just as she attempted to strike the barrier with the Crescent Moon Star Sword, she found herself rebuffed, the overwhelming force threatening to knock her off her feet. Lu Fanzhi and Luo Ning quickly rushed forward to steady her.

Wiping her tears, Luo Ning shook her head. “Qu Master Uncle, don’t keep attacking; you can’t get in.”

Qu Weiyin pushed them away and charged toward the barrier once more, only to spit out a mouthful of blood and collapse to the ground.

“Qu Master Uncle!” Lu Fanzhi shouted in alarm. “Don’t do this! If that’s the case, it means Luo Jinxiao exchanged something for your life. If you get into trouble again, when Luo Jinxiao returns, wouldn’t it all be in vain?”

Her heart-wrenching cry finally brought Qu Weiyin back to her senses.

Qu Weiyin stared blankly at Lu Fanzhi, tears streaming continuously down her cheeks, and then her gaze drifted to the cold, snow-covered peak ahead.

In this weather, if she were truly trapped inside this barrier, how cold it would be.

“Will she come back?” Qu Weiyin murmured, as if she had lost her soul.

“She will! Luo Jinxiao is someone who has a strong destiny. She will definitely come back for us,” Lu Fanzhi said, her voice choked with sobs.

Wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth, Qu Weiyin slowly stood up.

“Then I will wait for her; I won’t go anywhere,” she declared, her expression cold as she harshly dabbed away her tears with the sleeve of her robe.

“Luo Jinxiao, if you don’t come out, I will wait here forever.” Her trembling crimson lips enunciated each word with intensity.

“Before my patience runs out, you must come back. Otherwise, I will forget you! I, Qu Weiyin, am a woman of my word.” Her fierce declaration was interrupted by tears that continued to fall, leaving her eyes stinging.

Behind her, Lu Fanzhi and Luo Ning had also dissolved into tears. Lu Fanzhi gasped for breath, her lips pouting as she wiped her tears, saying, “Do you think Luo Jinxiao might already…”

“Stop that! My sister is definitely still alive. You just said it yourself; my sister is very lucky!” Luo Ning shot her a fierce glare.

“She doesn’t know what suffering she might have endured,” Lu Fanzhi countered, shaking her head.

Upon hearing this, Luo Ning’s gaze turned to Qu Weiyin’s shadow, and the more she looked, the more she felt that the figure was wavering amid sadness. She sniffed and finally spoke up, “But I feel that Qu Master Uncle is truly pitiful.”

“You sister has me, and she has you, and she has Elder Liu. But for Qu Master Uncle, there’s only my sister.”

Now that the only person who remained was gone, it was as if her heart had been ruthlessly carved out.

The calamity that befell Wuhui Sect sent shockwaves throughout the myriad factions, casting a pall of fear and anger against the demon race that burrowed deep into everyone’s bones. Yet, following this catastrophe, the demon race mysteriously vanished without a trace.

Qu Weiyin of Wuhui Sect became a household name once again, revered and discussed far and wide. It was said that she had fought against the traitor Qu Chengzhou, resulting in their mutual destruction, but she had miraculously come back to life. Afterward, her demeanor had changed drastically, and she seldom showed her face, choosing instead to seclude herself atop a towering peak.

Later on, for reasons unknown, she descended from the mountain. Only then could people occasionally catch a glimpse of her true form. However, those who met her couldn’t help but shake their heads and sigh. Though Qu Weiyin possessed the beauty of an immortal, her temperament was strangely odd; she rarely smiled, and her fierce demeanor instilled fear in those who gazed upon her.

At the same time, she traveled extensively across distant lands, journeying through the great mountains and rivers. Occasionally, she would eliminate demons, but as soon as the deed was done, she would vanish, exchanging words with different people, appearing as if she were living yet also as if she were merely existing.

However, within the realm of martial arts, there were countless misunderstood individuals, so she was often mentioned under the dim lights of taverns at night. Most of the time, people were preoccupied with an endless stream of gossip rumors.

As time trickled by, it flowed like a white horse passing a crevice; days moved at an unhurried pace, and suddenly, five years had passed.

In one place, there had been no seasonal changes during these five years. It was perpetually blanketed in snow atop South Dipper Peak, where occasionally, peculiar snowmen could be seen.

On this day, a strong wind suddenly swept through, sending the snowmen wobbling and stirring, waking the woman sleeping on the icy bed.

Dressed in green, even the materials she had enchanted seemed noticeably worn.

She slightly furrowed her brow, turning over to sit up. Her long black hair cascaded nearly to the ground. When she opened her eyes, her pupils were as dark as her flowing hair, both deep and bright, exuding an allure that made one feel as if they could fall into them.

Her waist was slender and elongated, her shoulders well-defined and straight. As she stretched her arms, the tightness of her clothes became apparent, ill-fitting against her figure.

An elderly woman walked in from outside, and upon seeing her awake, smiled gently. “Miss Luo, the Sect Master has already set up your snowmen.”

Upon hearing this, Luo Jinxiao’s cheeks broke into a smile as she said her thanks.

However, her smile seemed somewhat cold and lacking warmth.

As the elderly woman exited, she walked toward the Sect Master’s residence through the swirling wind and snow, pondering to herself. Ever since Miss Luo had arrived, the perpetually snow-covered mountain peak had gained a bit more warmth and liveliness.

At her age, being able to witness a naïve young girl grow into an extraordinarily beautiful woman filled her with a sense of nostalgia.

Yet, despite the beauty of the girl, when she smiled, it seldom appeared genuine. There was little joy in her eyes, which only reminded the woman of the Sect Master’s demeanor.
