[ Y/N’s Point of View ]

“Hey Makoto, I’ve been meaning to ask you one thing recently.”

I sigh out loud as i trail behind the grace of her presence before me. She tilts slightly from her sides giving me a glance with a smile. Oh, she truly is but a gentle god.

“Speak your mind.”

“Why is that you’re title of a god is ‘Transiency’ and your sister is to be deemed ‘Eternity’?” I inquire.

I was sure she wasn’t prepared for my question at out of blue, clearly i am certain that our mood was set for something else, for we are in a field filled with flowers that grows behind the courtyard only i and her often visit specially in times like this.. but i cannot help but wonder exactly about that forsaken sister of hers as she kept pestering me.

“Dear me.. instead of asking me such… Why not instead start with.. ‘Why do flowers wilt?'”

I raise a brow at her clearly not buying it. “That wasn’t my ques-“

She plucks out a dead flower before us interrupting me as she speaks much in a more forced manner.

“That is because no life can ever last.. each must reach its breaking point before it can even rise, creating a result of its own eternal cycle of life. After another one ends, a new one arise. Thus, Transiency comes after Eternity, we are one and that is what gives life a meaning.”

She mutters as if her word is directed to the flower itself the thing she holds it in a way as if its very dear to her. She opens her mouth to speak once more this time looking at me straight into the eye.

“The same thing is told. Nothing can ever rise without an end, and nothing can end without a beginning.” She adds as i watch the flower from her hand being carried away by the wind that passed by.

How… philosophical I’m afraid this simple mind of a soldier like i, could not possibly grasp.”

“Time will tell what fate will bring for you to come in understanding. Ei is therefore a blessing of Eternity and i am to maintain my duty of Transiency.”

She says with her tone in a gentle adoration, holding her umbrella upclose and couldn’t help but mesmerize the portrait of her. And how exactly it is i find you two almost were alike, well i suppose twins do look alike except for opposition. Ei is but, a ruthless being.

“A blessing you say. Thats far from what i see.”

“Believe me Y/n, my sister isn’t a type to express her thoughts, although i am certain of how she exactly feels…. I just wish she could’ve been more honest than it is.”

She murmurs leading me with her graceful hand towards the centre of the flowerfields, that i didn’t even bother to ask what does she mean by those words.

“Isn’t this flower a beautiful one, what do you wish to call it.”

“Haven’t i once made myself clear that ‘naming’ is not a field of my excellence.” I huff with a crossed arm.

“Alas… Now i can see why Ei do have a trouble with your constant banter.”

I raise a brow at her that gives her a look of ( excuse me?). Well i couldn’t careless for i certainly am adamant but i suppose it cannot be helped when i am born with such a nature to begin with.

She then shifts towards me coming closer leaning in, simply to tuck in the flowers behind my ears. How childish however, I am far from disliking it…

“Let’s put it as.. ‘Blessings of Eternity.‘”

She exclaims while giving me an eager look as if expecting a reaction out of me. Again she sure is mentioning Ei, Ei here Ei there, when its clear this ought to be just for the sake of us.

Promise me Y/N you’ll stand besides her no matter what the cost is.

. . .

“What do y-“

[ PRESENT ]

I opened my eyes finding myself tucked in both sides of the bed with both of my hands chained down. I couldn’t point out exactly where i am, from the looks of it i might be a prisoner.

“Urgh… Why most all of the time i must dream of the buried past.”

I glance up above me, the ceilings were too extraordinary to be a simple prison, now i am at doubts. I turn to my sides then to my front.

I find the room rather too fancy to be even considered a prison… Not to mention this sort of in a way looked familiar as if this itself bought me some sense of nostalgia.. wait could it be i am in-

My thoughts were interrupted as someone opened the door, the figure itself came closer in my way, giving me a look of nothing but disdain additionally she felt.. seemingly familiar. As if i just struck some sort of kinship just by the sight of her.

“Oh you’re awake, i was starting to doubt you’d ever wake up.”

A girl whose golden amber eyes wearing the mask of the once great tengu above her head. Said in a monotone. There’s no doubt that i am by means in the estate of the Kujou Clan. The very household that birthed and raised me. Surely the person i am beside with is no other than the Tengu General herself, isnt she.

“Per Lady Yae’s request i am but pressured to take care of you by time you’re awake, you’re fortunate enough to be in my care within the guest room of the Kujou Clan.”

“Well if you put it that way, I can’t exactly point out if i either am a guest or a prisoner… Of sort?”
I sigh holding out my hand in the air indicating the chains against me that says otherwise.

“It seems you are far aware from the crimes you have caused.” She hisses frowning at me with a followed sigh.

Crimes? Oh… She could be mentioning of me trespassing in Tenshukaku uninvited, additionally i was in a brink of burning that whole damned documents. But alas, i missed my chance before i could have done it.

“Not only you dared to go against a god but you even had the guts to such an extent, to provoke her Excellency. You have committed far worse than a serious crime i am unable to forgive”

Again she hisses at me with those eyes that constantly shoots me a deathful glare. Ah, i am damned to have my descendant to despite me as a first impression…. Not to mention where and how did she know of what took place in the recent event i certainly am sure that didn’t took place in such a spectacle.

.. .. ..

“That damns fox, is it.”

“Watch you’re tongue you are not in a place to further insult even the Lady Guuji of Narukami herself, do you have no little considerate of your life that is already in thin thread.”

“Oh do excuse me, i couldn’t exactly point my finger of why would my most far and farthest, farthest niece come to turn against my back just because she heard but so little of the exact detail itself.” I bite back daring to be intimidating.

“… Are you claiming the information i am given to be false. Bold of you–”

“Now, i won’t argue with you further little girl, if it wasn’t for my bloodline, i would have burned this estate awhile ago.” I exclaim as i attempt to stand breaking the chains in one go, immediately how bewildered her expression became by time i freed myself from the restraints that held no restrain at all.

I would rather say, the Doctor’s ways of holding me down was far much more crueler than it is, i ought to be grateful. Indeed.

You!-“

She uses her crow feathers to strike at me but i use exactly the same arts to deflect her attacks, her expression further became bewildred than it is now. Sure this technique is only specially taught within the Kujou Clan, a leak of its art is far from possible. It is understandable why she would react in such a way as if she couldn’t believe her eyes.

“Get some beauty’s sleep will you, i know what it feels like to work whole day without rest.”

I get from behind her in an instant knocking her down by the nape. I take her fallen body towards the bed and tucks her in before i left.
