Seo-joon was on his way to Show Champion to promote for his latest song 

” You know you can take the day off today if you’re feeling out of it” Shi Jin advised as he saw Seo-joon looking tired as he waits for his turn for his live performance

” It’s okay hyung, I don’t have anything planned after this right?” Shi Jin nodded his head as he closes his eyes and relaxing his body on the couch. He has been overworking himself lately trying to forget the events that happened during the radio talk show he did on his first day of promoting

” Moonseo-ssi you’re up next” One of the staff called and both Seo-joon and Shi Jin headed off to the stage. On their way there, they met a group that he was familiar with

” Sunbaenim” Seo-joon looked up to where the voice came from and saw 9 girls along the hallway

” Twice right?” The girls nodded their heads and did their introductions with Seo-joon doing the same

” How are you girls?” 

” We’re doing fine sunbae. We like your new song” Jihyo said with her members nodding their heads

” I told you girls you can drop the honorifics with me and thank you. Your new song just dropped today right?” Twice nodded their heads

” Then I’ll listen to it later. Sorry I haven’t watched it yet since I still had some schedules to do” Seo-joon apologized as he didn’t want to look bad in front of his juniors

” It’s okay oppa” 

” Moonseo-ssi please proceed to the stage” One of the staff called and that was the sign that Seo-joon had to cut short their conversation

” Sorry girls I have to go. It was nice meeting you girls again” Twice bid goodbye to him as they both start to walk off but one of the girls pulled on his shirt

” Oppa” Seo-joon turned around seeing Chaeyoung behind her

” What’s wrong Chaeyoung-ssi?”

” Nothing oppa. Fighting!” Chaeyoung then sprinted back to her group as she felt too shy to talk with him. Seo-joon wanted to catch up with her but knew that the staff would scold him for being late

” So did you ask him Chae?” Jeongyeon asked as her as they arrived in their waiting room

” I couldn’t, I was too shy to ask” Chaeyoung said looking down with her hands behind her back. The members thought she looked cute with her being shy in front of Seo-joon

” How about you give a letter to his make-up artist in his waiting room” They all turned to Mina who voiced her suggestion

” You know his make-up artist Mina?” Jihyo asked as Mina shook her head

” No but remember when he came to our table during the after party at MAMA. He asked if he could get a signed album from us for his make-up artist” The Twice girls remembered the quick greeting he gave the girls as he was getting dragged to each table by IU at that time

” You think she’s still working with her?” Jihyo asked

” We won’t know if we don’t try” Momo chimed in as Chaeyoung had a smile on her face and rushed to the table finding a piece of paper and a ball pen

After performing ‘Electric’ with his dancers, Seo-joon was now out of breath. The song itself was easy for him but the choreography was the hardest one he has danced to and performing it almost everyday took a toll on him

” You okay Seo-joon?” One of his dancers asked as he lost his balance for a moment

” I’m okay hyung, just out of breath” Seo-joon said still breathing hard

” I’d say, if I was singing while dancing today I would’ve collapsed at the end” One of his dancers joked as they shared a laugh. Seo-joon was close with his back up dancers as they were a part of Rian’s crew and he spends most of his time with them

Seo-joon was the final performer for tonight as he patiently waited for the other artists to come up on stage and announce the winner for today’s show. The candidates were Moonseo’s Electric, Twice Cheer Up, and Block B’s Toy

” And the winner is Block B Toy. Congratulations” Shin-Young announced as the fans of Block B were screaming in enjoyment with the artists also joining in congratulating them. Block B also greeted Seo-joon as their scores were not that far apart from each other and just having 500 points more 

” Good job today oppa” Nam-ra said welcoming him at their waiting room and plopping down at the nearest chair

” Were the shoes okay oppa? They didn’t make you feel uncomfortable?” Yuri worriedly asked as she saw him about to fall at the end of their performance

” They were great, I was just too tired from dancing and singing” Yuri sighed with relief as she took the coat off of him 

” Ohh oppa someone came in earlier and wanted them to hand you this” Nam-ra said smiling but not the normal kind of smile and more of a flirty smile

” What’s with that smile? You never smiled like that” Seo-joon said seeing Nam-ra’s smile change from a teasing to an innocent one

” What do you mean oppa?” Nam-ra askd with her innocent face

” Yah you’re creeping me out” Seo-joon backed away from Nam-ra who giggled seeing his reaction

” Just open it oppa, you’ll like it” Nam-ra winked before heading off to clean her things on the table. Seo-joon slowly opened the piece of paper Nam-ra gave him as the letter

” Annyeong oppa, I couldn’t tell you this earlier because I was too shy to ask but could you come to our dorm this Saturday? It’s my birthday and I don’t know if you want to come but it’s okay if you don’t. You’re someone popular after all

Seo-joon let out a little laugh seeing Chaeyoung’s cute handwriting and was thinking of attending her birthday

” So are you going to attend?” Nam-ra asked from behind as Seo-joon was spooked by her sudden presence

” Yah you scared me”

” You scare easy” Nam-ra giggled apologizing for scaring him

” So are you going to her birthday or not?” Nam-ra asked again to which Seo-joon happily replied with a nod

” If I have nothing planned on that day then I don’t see why not I won’t attend” Nam-ra smiled knowing his answer as she texted him 

” What’s this?” Seo-joon asked as he looked at the message Nam-ra gave him

” Just a little bit information on the members of Twice” Seo-joon clicked the file and there popped up some basic information about Twice

” Thanks Nam-raya. You really are a fan of them” 

” No problem oppa. Treat me to something nice as thanks” They both head out of the room and go home after a tiring day of Seo-joon’s idol life

Seo-joon had just woken up from a good slumber as he woke up near 12 noon. He had a day off today so he had all the reason to rest up from the intense schedule he had

” Oppa are you awake?” Yesol called out and stopped in her tracks as she saw you in the kitchen cooking up lunch

” Morning Yesolah” Seo-joon greeted as he adds more eggs as he would be cooking for his cousins

” You just woke up oppa?” Yesol noticed his hair shriveled up and his eyes looking all tired

” Mhmm I had rough schedule yesterday and it took a toll on me” 

” Yah oppa I told you to rest up when you can” Seulgi scolded him as she placed her bag on the table

” Move, I’ll finish cooking these” Seulgi pushed Seo-joon away from the stove as she takes over cooking for their lunch

” What’s gotten your sister so angry today?” Seo-joon whispered to Yesol seeing Seulgi beaming with rage on her face

” Remember the boy that we talked about last time oppa” Seo-joon nodded his head

” Well when we were going to the mall yesterday we spotted him there with another girl holding hands” Seo-joon got the signal as she looked at Seulgi who had a grim expression on her face

” Here’s the food, let’s eat” Eating lunch was unusually quiet as Yesol was the only one looking happy and delighted by the deliciousness of the food. Seo-joon however was just observing Seulgi with her actions as she was not the usual bubbly self like she always was

” Yesolah can you go to the living room first. You can watch tv there” Yesol nodded her head as she went away from the kitchen leaving Seulgi and Seo-joon alone in the room

” Mind telling me what’s on your mind?”

” There’s nothing oppa” Seulgi feigned ignorance with Seo-joon’s question as she continues to clean the dishes

” We’ve known each other for how long already. You can’t hide anything from me Seulgi” Seo-joon placed his hand on her shoulder as she stops washing the dishes. He turned off the faucet and made Seulgi turn to face him

” I’m here for you” And without hesitation, Seulgi hugged Seo-joon as she couldn’t hold the tears any longer and just cried silently

” I loved him oppa, he was my first love. He never stopped showing his love to me and always told me that I was the only girl for him but only to find out that I was just one of his girls. I’m such a fool oppa” Seulgi tried hard to not stutter and continued to share her feelings

” No you’re not a fool”

” If only I could’ve seen it sooner that he was not in love with me. If only I would’ve known that I was not the girl he wanted” Seulgi continue crying as she was barely breathing

” Deep breaths and let it all out” Seo-joon was rubbing her back as she continued to cry in his arms and eventually stopped as she looked down at a necklace

” He even gave me this necklace on my birthday last month.” Seulgi showed the necklace she was wearing and it resembled a little bunny

” You do look like a bunny at times” Seulgi chuckled at his compliment as she wipes away her tears

” I wished I didn’t fall in love with him then I wouldn’t be feeling this way” Seulgi bitterly said as she takes off the necklace and placed it on the table

” That’s love for you, it works in mysterious ways” Seo-joon said as he grabbed Seulgi’s hands

” How about we do the things you want to do?” Seo-joon suggested and a small smile formed on her face as they Seo-joon quickly changed his clothes and started heading out of his apartment with Yesol

” More rides” Yesol was talking in her sleep as she was being carried by Seo-joon on his back

” Looks like she had fun” Seulgi said seeing the big smiles on her sister’s face

” I’d say, she’s too hyper when she eats candy” Seo-joon recalled the times he had to chase Yesol around 

” That’s your fault for oppa” Both of them shared a laugh as they were walking to the door of his cousin’s house. They got in and Seo-joon placed Yesol on the couch who happily snuggled on one of the pillows

” You’re not staying for dinner oppa?” Seo-joon shook his head

” I have a party to attend to. It’s one of my juniors so I can’t cancel on them” Seulgi nodded her head as she saw him out the door

” I had fun today oppa, thanks” They both shared a hug and did their signature clap together

” Remember I’m here for you guys always okay?” Seo-joon ruffled her hair and then went back to his car and proceeded to head to Twice’s dorm but not before grabbing a special cake 

Meanwhile in Twice’s dorm, the party has already started as the people inside were talking amongst themselves. From trainees in JYP to close friends of Twice, all were having a wonderful time talking and eating but there was one member who was staring intently at the door as if waiting for someone to come

” Chae, you’ve been looking down for some time now. It’s your birthday, I thought you should be happy” Jihyo said sitting beside Chaeyoung at the couch

” Sorry unnie, I’m just waiting for someone to come” Jihyo was confused on who she meant as everyone was already here including her mother and brother then it hit her, she remembered that Seo-joon still hasn’t arrived  

” You’re still waiting for him huh?” Chaeyoung had a hint of red on her cheeks as she nodded to Jihyo. Jihyo giggled seeing her cute reaction as she took a sip on her drink

” What if he doesn’t come unnie” Chaeyoung asked all worried that Seo-joon might not come

” Have faith Chae, he’s an idol after all maybe he had schedules today” As Jihyo was trying to comfort Chaeyoung, a knock on the door was heard as Jihyo came to open it

” Annyeonghaseyo” Seo-joon greeted as Jihyo smiled and greeted back

” Am I too late?” Seo-joon shyly asked as it was near 8 in the evening already when he arrived

” Just in time oppa” Jihyo stepped aside to let Seo-joon in as he scans the room that was filled with people he barely knows

” Ohh oppa you’re here” Dahyun greeted as they fist bumped

” Dahyun right?” Dahyun nodded her head 

” Where’s the birthday girl?” Dahyun pointed to the living room where they could see someone sitting on the couch

” Happy birthday to you” Chaeyoung turned her head to the sound of the voice as her eyes lit up with joy seeing the person she’s been waiting for

” Oppa you’re here” Chaeyoung ran around the couch and hugged Seo-joon who lifted the cake up allowing her to hug him on the waist

” Sorry oppa” Chaeyoung broke the hug as she was embarrassed by her sudden action

” It’s alright Chae. Here” Chaeyoung opened the box to revealing a special cake with a design of that of a tiger

” I didn’t know what you’d like so I figured I would just buy a cake for you” Seo-joon said as Chaeyoung stared at the cake as her eyes were sparkling by the design of it

” I love it oppa thank you” Seo-joon smiled as it made Chaeyoung smile and they placed the cake on the table

Meanwhile, a group of people consisting of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung’s mother and brother 

” Who is that Nayeonah?” Chaeyoung’s mother asked pointing to Chaeyoung and Seo-joon at the table

” That’s Moonseo Mrs. Son. He’s one of our sunbaes” Nayeon answered

” Chaeyoung invited him over when we were promoting together” Jeongyeon added

” And she’s a big fan of him” Jihyo ended as Chaeyoung’s mother scanned Seo-joon from head to toe and had a little smirk on his face

” It looks like Chaengie’s head over heel for him. If he marries her then my grandkids would be tall” Chaeyoung’s mother said making the girls choke on their drinks or saliva including her son

” Yah eomma! Don’t say things like that” Her son exclaimed as the girls couldn’t believe what they just heard

” What? Can’t I think about my daughter’s future?” Chaeyoung’s mom retorted as her son just shook his head

” Why did I even agree to come with you” He earned a smack on the head from his mom with that statement as other three girls just giggled seeing them

The party went on with Seo-joon meeting other trainees from JYP and some being idols who were going to debut later in the year. He also got to meet Chaeyoung’s mother and brother who she also joked about their marriage and all Seo-joon could do was smile shyly and Chaeyoung was blushing from her mother’s words

” Yah eomma! I’m still in school” Chaeyoung exclaimed as her mother had a look of she didn’t care

” And you’ll graduate after three years, you’ll be legal by then” Her mother continued to argue as Seo-joon and her brother just stared at the two

” Are they always fighting like this?” Seo-joon whispered to her brother who just nodded his head

” Noona and eomma fight like that most of the time in the house. I’m Son Jeong-hoon” 

” Moon Seo-joon, but my stage name is Moonseo” They both shook hands as they chuckled at each other

” You look mature for your age” Seo-joon commented

” How do you know I’m not older than you?” 

” You just called Chaeyoung noona to which I’m older than her” Jeong-hoon was dumbfounded as he realized his mistake

” Sorry can I call you hyung?” 

” Sure, I don’t like formalities with the people I’m close with anyways” The two shared a glass of apple juice together as they talked with each other. Seo-joon learned that her brother was also a fan of him and asked if they could get a picture together to which he obliged and they spent the night talking until it was time for him and his mother to go home

” He’s handsome Chae” Chaeyoung’s mother complimented as Chaeyoung had a slight blush on her cheeks

” And it looks like Jeong-hoon likes him” She continued seeing the two of them bidding goodbye to each other

” Snag him up Chae before someone else does” Her mother advised as Jeong-hoon arrived and they went home. Chaeyoung close the door then turned her head to where Seo-joon was sitting as she contemplated on her own feelings. She decided to head upstairs and to their small balcony to get some fresh air. She was deep in thought with how she felt but most importantly how she would obtain Seo-joon’s heart. She was neither the funniest, nor the tallest in her group. She did not have any special talents like her friends nor did she have something that would make her unique to other girls. She had a frown on her face for all these thoughts

” There you are” Chaeyoung turned around to see Seo-joon joining her on the balcony

” What are you doing here oppa?” Chaeyoung asked surprised to see him

” I was looking for you. Mina said she saw you come up to the second floor” Seo-joon said as both of them were now leaning on the railings looking out to the night sky

” Sorry oppa, I just wanted to get some fresh air” Seo-joon shook his head

” Why?  What’s bothering you?” Chaeyoung didn’t say anything and just looked down

” It’s okay if you don’t want to talk but could I stay here with you? The night breeze feels nice” Chaeyoung just nodded her head and both of them stayed in their positions just looking at the night sky and feeling the breeze of the night in silence

” Do you think I’m boring oppa?” Chaeyoung suddenly broke the silence

” What makes you say that?” 

” Well I’m not like my unnie’s who are good in singing and dancing like Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Momo unnie nor I’m beautiful and elegant like Tzuyu and Mina unnie or having that bubbly personality like Dahyun and Sana unnie. I’m just normal like others” Seo-joon continued to listen to her not uttering a word

” I did a solo vlive last time and the fans were asking where the other members were. It was like they found me boring out of all the members. I just wished I had something special that would make me be unique like the others” Chaeyound didn’t know that she had tears running down her eyes as she wiped them quickly trying to hide the fact she was crying

” Did you enjoy your vlive?” 

” Huh?” Chaeyoung didn’t hear him at first and looked to her side

” Did you enjoy doing your vlive for your fans?” Seo-joon turned to her and asked again

” I did” Seo-joon smiled

” Then that’s all you need Chae” Chaeyoung didn’t understand what he meant by that

” There will always be people who will think negatively towards others and that’s something that we can’t change no matter how unique or special we might become. We have to learn to live with the negativity and turn into positive energy for us to continue with the job we love and enjoy. So to answer your question Chae, you’re not boring. Your fans just don’t see the talent you have inside you. We can’t please everyone so why not settle for the people who value your true self rather than trying to become someone your not” Chaeyoung was at a loss for words after hearing Seo-joon’s advise. She had a hard time trying to become someone that the fans would accept her and that was eating her up everyday. It was at this time that she realized she didn’t need to change herself but instead embrace for who she truly is. She couldn’t help but let the tears roll down her cheeks

” Hey Chae don’t cry. I’m sorry if I said something wrong” Chaeyoung shook her head as she engulfed Seo-joon into a hug

” Can I just stay like this for a while oppa?” Chaeyoung muttered under his shirt as Seo-joon caressed the back of her head

” Sure birthday girl” Both of them laughed as they stayed in that position not noticing the pairs of eyes watching them from afar

” Should we tell Seo-joon oppa that his manager’s calling him on his phone?” Dahyun asked holding Seo-joon’s phone as Shi Jin was calling him

” I’ll answer it for him, let Chaeyoung enjoy her birthday wish” Jihyo said to her group as they smiled seeing their little cub smiling. It is one of the best gifts Chaeyoung could receive and one that made her resolve and feelings for Seo-joon grow stronger than ever
