Chaewon
“I’ll show them that messing with Kims is never a good idea!”
My words from the day before lingered in my mind as I stared out of the window of my car, waiting for it to arrive at Köcher High.
I sighed when thinking about the group of four trouble makers and their stupid red card game. Eunchae’s question made its way into my thoughts too, making a small headache appear.
Rubbing my temples, I tried to think of the possibility of Thyme giving me the crimson colored card. He looked hella mad in the cafeteria yesterday and even though I still wasn’t quite sure why he had insisted so much on us sitting with F4, I definitely knew that I didn’t really make the whole situation better with just storming off, but I just didn’t know what else to do. Eunchae looked scared and startled and only thinking about the leader of F4 possibly hurting her with that porcelain plate made me lose my temper.
I knew that they wouldn’t dare to fight with the Kim and Lee family at the same time, both being too influential and well known all around the globe, but what if nobody was bound to find out? It was pretty clear that they seemed to have good connections as none of their bullying cases ever got revealed to the public other than Köcher High. So what if they weren’t scared to start this fight too?
Knowing that Eunchae was very sensitive and easily scared, she wouldn’t even last a day with that bullying game. And let’s not even think about her health condition. F4 knew about her heart problems and if that whole topic really escalated, they would definitely take it as an advantage, even though they knew it was life threatening for my best friend.
Sighing as we had arrived at school, I quickly thanked my driver and opened the door of the car. Stepping out of it, I could already make out four faces in the distance, probably waiting for Eunchae’s and my arrival.
Putting on a cold face and fixing my uniform, I headed towards the entrance, trying my best to ignore the approaching group and instead search for my best friend.
“Hey Kim Chaewon.”, the familiar voice of Mj didn’t make me stop.
I proceeded my way to the stairs instead, but was soon lightly grabbed by my arm and turned around to face the four.
“Let go.”, I blankly stared at the black haired, not so keen on having a conversation with the male ones standing in front of me.
“What was that yesterday?”, Kavin asked, making me scoff.
“Why don’t you ask your leader instead of bothering me?”, I glared at the boy with glasses before diverting my gaze to the Paramaanantra heir.
“Stop.”, Thyme gritted his teeth while taking a step forward.
“Why are you angry at me? I wasn’t the one who started the conversation.”, I freed myself from Mj’s grip.
“Just stop that nonsense and make up. We don’t have time for something like this.”, Kavin rolled his eyes.
“Then don’t bother talking to me anymore.”, I turned around and started walking towards the entrance again.
“Don’t. Or do you two want to receive a red card too?”, Thymes vibrant voice made me ball up my fists and step up to the group of four again, Ren observing every one of my moves.
“Do with me whatever you want, I don’t care! But if I see a single scratch on Eunchae, I swear I’ll rip you apart!”, I spat out, slightly startling the one in front of me.
Finally continuing my way into the school building, I sighed when seeing Eunchae standing at her locker. I quickly calmed myself down a little before approaching my best friend.
“Hi Eunchae!”, I smiled and pulled the blonde haired into a short side hug.
“Hey Unnie. Did you open your locker already?”, worry was lacing her voice, while I just smiled.
“Don’t worry, it will be empty.”
She only nodded and closed her locker, but I knew the topic was still bothering her. Eunchae seemed tired and nervous, almost as if she was scared to open her locker that morning, but I knew why. She wasn’t oblivious after all and she had realized how cruel the Paramaanantra heir could be.
Chuckles and yelling made my head shot up, being greeted with the sight of Gorya running after a group of students which had stolen one of her shoes. Quickly diverting my gaze to my best friend again, I saw her looking at the scene, her body tempting do something to help the black haired girl.
Both of our phones started getting many notifications almost every second, making me frown. I was added to a group chat with all of the students at school, most of them having a conversation and talking about how they needed to end it that day.
“Chaewon? Should we really not do anything?”, Eunchae’s worried voice made me look up from my phone again.
My mind wandered to our first school day, thinking about the boy who got beaten up by F4 and everyone else either only watching or even cheering. I was sure they would do the same to Gorya, showing no mercy just because she was a girl.
“I’ll go to the stadium and look after her. Go to the classroom and wait for me, okay?”, I flashed Eunchae a small smile while she only nodded, not even trying to fight back.
Seeing her heading towards our class, I turned around and rushed to the place they took her to, my heartbeat increasing when I arrived and already saw students forming around the building.
The Köcher High Stadium, the only place without CCTV.
