You ask my why I love him,
A fictional character from a story I know nothing about,
But you did the introductions,
He quickly became a comfort whenever I hear a shout.
I’m a shameless girl,
More than willing to express myself completely to you,
And yet when you asked me,
“I don’t know” was all my voice knew what to do.
His hair is your color,
Your eyes are both a dark and beautiful night,
But that’s not why,
Despite the resemblance throughout every fight.
I find comfort in a character,
One who’s husband is your favorite and can relate to,
I find comfort in a character,
From a story you love and adore so true.
I know not of his story,
But of the one you tell and rant to me about all the while,
You grin with excitement and hyper fixation, then I remember
It is you that I see in his smile.
