if you start to like someone, do you tell them or keep it to yourself?
why tell them when it can ruin you.
but why keep it and ruin yourself.
wooyoung is thinking about it. should he tell san he had slowly grew feelings for him? they only knew each other for about 6 months and after the lake incident he was sure he liked the other. he enjoys the time he spends with san, it makes him feel good since he never wanted to have friends. every time they hang out wooyoung asks himself what would happen to the relationship they built over the past months. or if san would ever like him back.
wooyoung lays in his bed thinking about them every night. how he only laughs when he is around him. or how san always puts his arm around him whenever they’re talking or just walking down the street. he really wants to tell san that he likes him. it feels like his chest is getting heavier and heavier the more he thinks about him. somehow it feels like pain. he wants to get rid of the feeling so bad. but the thought of the possibility of loosing san, scares him too much. they grew into best friends.
and wooyoung has feelings for his best friend.
the next day he walks out of his house, already seeing san waiting for him to walk to school. wooyoung doesn’t know how to even act anymore. he was scared to fall more for the other if they just continue to act like they are right now. wooyoung doesn’t want that to happen but that means he also needs to distance himself from his only friend.
san on the other hand was more than excited today. the past few months he had butterflies fluttering around his stomach and today he finally wants to let them free. he was going to confess to wooyoung. he couldn’t wait for after school to tell him everything he has been feeling for the younger. but with all the excitement there was a little fear.
the fear of rejection.
but when he thinks about it there might be a possibility of wooyoung liking san back. every time he puts his arm around wooyoung, he couldn’t but notice the youngers blush on his cheeks. or whenever wooyoung mentions his ‘shining stars’ every time their eyes meet.
his excitement was soon down when he noticed wooyoung acting weird only walking down the porch.
“maybe he had a rough morning.”
as he walked towards san, he noticed the youngers eyes being fixed on the ground. wooyoung didn’t want to look san in the eyes. because he know he falls for the shining stars all the time.
“what’s wrong woo?”
woo. that’s the nickname san has suddenly made up a few months ago.
san is waiting for him to only even look at him. but instead he keeps his gaze on the ground.
“I didn’t sleep much don’t worry.”
the way wooyoung only answered him was enough to know that there was something wrong.
lunch time. the time they meet everyday to eat together and talk about the most random stuff. but today was different. not only was wooyoung ‘not hungry’ but also no one of them talked. it bothered san that they are suddenly so different, wooyoung changed his whole behavior in just one night.
what happened?
“woo are you sure everything is fine? it seem like there is something going on.”
wooyoung blinked a few times, realizing that the other had talked to him. he didn’t know how to answer san. he finally looked at him seeing san’s eyes already fixed on the younger. wooyoung felt bad, he can see how concerned san is but he just hadn’t talked to him to him all day. he felt nothing but guilt.
“can we leave?” wooyoung asked, hoping for san to agree.
san only looks at him with soft eyes and gave him a reassuring smile, nodding his head yes.
they walk away from school, not caring about the consequences but honestly san would’ve left school for wooyoung every time. he is his priority. both of them don’t even know where they’re going but somehow they ended up at the forest again. sitting in front of the lake, wooyoung thinks about the first time they’ve been here.
“what are you thinking about?”
wooyoung without hesitation just moves closer to the other, laying his head on san’s shoulder. san on the other side was freaking out inside. yes, their friendship contains a lot of skin ship and affection but that doesn’t mean san is used to it, even tho he likes wooyoung.
“us.”
“about us?” san’s heart starts to race. why would wooyoung think about them? maybe he feels the same?
“do you think we were meant to meet? we both never had intentions of having any friends anymore but why are we friends then?” wooyoung lifts his head from san’s shoulder to look him straight in the eyes.
“i think this is a fated relationship.” san answered. he is confused about the things wooyoung is saying. he feels his chest getting heavy. is this the moment where he is going to get rejected without even confessing? he fears to lose the younger. somehow it came out that san had become so attached to wooyoung, he doesn’t wanna leave him. all this time he felt alone and lonely but not until he showed up. san liked to feeling to be around someone, the thought about being alone again freaks him out.
“what about you? do you think we were meant to become friends ?” san asks back but that just made him more nervous.
wooyoung laughs lightly, still looking at the lake in front of him. but he soon moved his gaze to san who waited for his response.
“i believe it is written in the stars.” wooyoung says as his smile grew bigger. he felt like this was a big step to telling him that he likes the other. san feels relieved seeing wooyoung smile again. but also he feels so relived wooyoung didn’t pull something like
‘oh okay i actually fucking hate you lets never see each other again’
it was that moment where wooyoung realized they had probably stared in each others eyes for quite a while. but he just can’t resist the ‘shining stars’ san always has in his eyes. but soon his eyes weren’t looking at the shining stars, they travelled down to the others lips. san of course noticed but so did he.
“it’s probably wrong thinking about how his lips would feel on mine.”
just like a few minutes before, wooyoung moves his head closer to the san only inches away from each other. they could probably feel each others breath hitting them. wooyoung didn’t care how much they would change but everything in this exact moment felt so right. he lightly tilts his head only decreasing the gap between them. they both knew how close their lips were but neither of them wanted to pull away. all the excitement is building up more and more, san was sure wooyoung was able to hear his heartbeat. but he knows he has to be the bigger person no matter how nervous he was. before wooyoung could lay his lips on his, san lifted wooyoungs head by his chin to make in look straight in the eyes.
“if you could rewrite this moment in the stars, would you do it?” san asks looking wooyoung deeply in the eyes.
“no, i wish this moment will never end.” he answered which was more than a confirmation for san.
with that san laid his lips on wooyoungs. tasting the strawberry lipbalm has on his lips. both eyes closed, enjoying every second of the moment they both have been waiting for. san takes his hands and puts one on wooyoungs neck and the other on his back, giving the younger some sense safety and comfort. while with the other hand he deepens the kiss.
wooyoung on the other hand was almost too scared to make a mistake he couldn’t move any of his body. san has a little doubt it is all going way too fast for the younger so he pulls away from the kiss leaving the younger in a little disappointment.
“why did you stop?” wooyoung asks, scared that he did something wrong.
“are you sure about this? i don’t wanna do something to you that you don’t want?” san was also scared he is pushing the younger.
he didn’t even answer he just let his body do what ever it wanted to. wooyoung went back to kissing san and this time he put his hands around the others neck, signaling san that he wanted this. they resumed the same thing they did only a few seconds ago.
“i am more than sure.”
