Note:Â Ironically, the only pictures I had of them, on this device that i could find, were the cover photo (as in the cover of this book) and one of Kagaya coughing up blood. So… had to go search for more. And like the first things that showed up were Kagaya coughing up blood so erm-
Also it’s very rare for me to get requested a straight ship LMAO- It’s almost foreign to me to write it anymore
Sorry for it’s shortness

Kagaya had been overseeing the demon slayer corps at a young age. He’d had to acquire a wife in order to keep on the Ubuyashiki family line, and the one he’d found and chosen was Amane who had taken care of him through the times. She was very kind to him and gentle and sweet, despite having to throw away all possible futures for herself to help Kagaya. Which was why he did everything possible to make sure she still had as a good a life he could provide her.
She was pregnant now, for how would the Ubuyashiki tree expand without children? Nevertheless, she needed a lot of care at the moment and Kagaya had hired a doctor to help. The doctor couldn’t always be there and Kagaya had wished for Amane to go somewhere such as a hospital, but his wife had gracefully declined this and had expressed her worries of Kagaya in such a manner he could not turn her down.
See, he was coming down with a disease that had been passed down from one Ubuyashiki to the next, and they all seemed to die early because of this. Because of Muzan.Â
And now, Kagaya was starting to have symptoms and Amane worried that if she was to leave, he was to get ill and die once she was gone.
So she stayed, working through the pain of her pregnancy and pushing herself to help Kagaya through his life.Â
They stayed together for their whole time, helping each other through everything. Kagaya, insisting he needn’t be too worried about, had been doing his best to help her. He didn’t want her in pain and had made sure the doctors were doing their best to make her pregnancy as painless as possible.
However, Amane was trying to do her best to help Kagaya as well. Both seemed like their first priorities were the other at the moment, pushing themselves past their limits to help. Because of this, they both somehow ended up exhausted but healthy as they could be, although Kagaya not as much as his illness was slowly spreading.Â
But the care they both put into their time proved to be helping grandly as one of the doctor’s pronounced them doing a lot better than he’d expected.Â
And with this, Amane felt as if she was doing okay in the job she’d taken up with helping the Ubuyashiki family line grow. She’d sworn to herself to always care for Kagaya till the day she, or he, died, and to produce the children to lead the corps onto future generations, just as they had for centuries now. Kagaya had promised himself to do something quite similar, vowing to make sure Amane still had the best life she could though he’d brought her into this situation.
When the doctor then told the two that they were fairing quite well compared to how people usually might with this, both of them appeared to have their spirits lifted, more content with this now.
“Amane,” Kagaya said one night to her as her pregnancy crept closer to labour. (idek)
“Yes?” she answered. She sat next to his bed, one of her hands holding his as a way of comfort.Â
“Go rest, you will need the sleep,” he told her.
“I am alright.”
He turned to look at her then, worry piercing his gace. “I do not wish for you to over work yourself…” he murmured.Â
“I will do fine.” She smiled at him then. “You care for me well more than you need to, Kagaya.”Â
He sighed softly and then smiled back. “In my care, I will never let you be hurt,” he said quietly.Â
“I’ll do my best to return your hard work back to you,” Amane said.

This is short
I was unsure how to write these two, especially since when people speak more formally I tend to try to make the writing as so, and it’s harder to do it like that…
Also, since their relationship didn’t come from romance rather, it came from their positions as people… so it was a bit of a challenge for their actions.
I hope this is alright :’>Â
