Shouta looked up at Izuku, who was sitting on his lap and looking back up at him. He had heard many times that taking care of a two-year-old was hard. Though he would admit Izuku was a good kid, he did have temper tantrums like an average toddler, but he wasn’t bad. Unlike Katsuki, Katsuki was a menace to society. He would run away from his mom or cry and yell if Izuku had to leave their playdate before the blond wanted him to. Izuki took the pacifier out of his mouth, and he looks at Shouta before he spoke.
The boy looked at his father before he spoke ” daddy,” he says as he looks at him. ” crackers,” he says as he looks at him and the dark-haired male spoke. They wanted Izuku to learn manners, so as he got some crackers out of his bag, he spoke.
” what do we say if we want things?” he asks as he looks at the male, and Izuku pulled at his sleeves a bit before he puffed out his cheeks.
” crackers please,” he says, and he handed the boy some crackers. They were currently at the doctor’s office; Izuku was getting his leg braces; he needed to start walking because he had not, and he wouldn’t be able to without of them.
” Izuku Midoriya,” A woman says, and he brought Izuku to the room, and he sat down in one of the chairs. After a while, the physical therapist came in and smiled. “I have the braces; we are going to test them out, now if he is going on walks or well really he should wear it except when he’s sleeping or bathing.” the physical therapist says before looking at Iuzku and smiling. Then, she took out the braces and showed Shouta how to put them on.” now we are going to teach him how to walk over the next couple weeks; It’s going to be hard; he’s not going to want to do it.”
The next few weeks were a challenge, every day, they would take Izuku to his physical therapy, their baby would hold onto the doctor’s hands as he fumbled, he fell all of the time, and Shouta just wanted to go and take his baby away they second he would burst into tears. Izuku hated the braces; he would throw a tantrum after tantrum because he didn’t want to wear them.
Though it was horrible, Shouta knew Izuku needed to learn how to walk, and all of the regret he felt during those weeks changed the first time he saw Izuku walk. He was sitting there watching as the Physical therapist tried to coax Izuku to walk on his own; it had been three months, ” Izuku come on,” the physical therapist says. Izuku had his hand in his mouth as he stood there, but he didn’t walk to the PT. Instead, he stumbled his way over to Shouta, it wasn’t pretty, but Shouta couldn’t be prouder as he scooped his son up, and he smiled.
From then on, Izuku was a walking disaster, he still fell over because of his balance, but that didn’t stop him. He loved to dance to music Hizashi would play, hopping around like a monkey, he liked to wobble from room to room, and he could finally get places.
One night they were at some charity auction thing, it was held at UA, and it was for pro heroes and their families. Hizashi had set Izuku down for a second, and when he went to pick him back up, Iuzku had wabbled away when they had found the runaway baby.
izuku was walking around holding another toddler’s hand; this one had red and white hair, he was following Izuku around, and another boy followed behind; he knew who the other kids were. The Todoroki children, it’s not that the kids here bad news, but Hizashi was not a fan of their father. ” I’m sorry,” Hizashi says to Toya, and the eldest son nodded his head.
” no, it’s fine, Shouto was getting fussy, and now he’s fine,” Toya says.” say goodbye,” he says, and shouto made a kissing motion with his hand.
” bye,” Shouto says. Hizashi nodded and picked up Izuku before walking back to Shouta.
” looks like our boy takes after me in the socializing department,” Hizashi joked as izuku put his face in the crook of the blond’s neck.
” mmmhm….” Shouta says.
