I opened my eyes I heard the slow heart rate going on the machine and felt myself loose breath.

“Are you alright?” A nurse said placing something down next to me.

I started gasping. I heard her gasp and call for the doctors. I felt myself in so much pain and I felt weak searching for air.

I couldn’t think straight.

Eric… help me please…

I saw doctors come in one by one and one had a defibrillator.

Eric please SAVE ME!!

I Gasped for air and before I knew it I felt myself drift and before I knew it I heart the machine ding a long clear ding and I felt my self drift into an endless sleep.

Late April fools!

(Olivia’s (mom) POV)

“Eric please….” I begged him. It was 3 hours later and he was locked in his room.

“No.” He said still upset with me.

“What do I have to do to make things better?” I asked again through the outside of the bedroom door. He opened it and looked at me. I could tell he was crying.

“Bring Sam back, Let him live here.” He said.

“He will be fine! He’s going to live with his sister! He doesn’t know her… But he will soon! I paid for the Cab so he didn’t. Plus if I bring him back he will take you from me..” I said in hopes he’d see everything was ok. But his eyes started to get tears in his eyes.

“You had 2 kids?” He said trying to cover the damage in his voice.

Oh shit…

“One night stand. The dad took her in and I kept in contact she said it was fine shes 22. She’s fine it’s her own place.” I said.

“Sammie’s dad?” He asked again.

Hes trying to change the subject but at least we aren’t fighting.

“No Emily is the child of a man named Cameron. Sam’s dad is names Chris.”

“What happened to them?” He asked. I felt myself grow a little sad.

“Cameron didn’t want me and I didn’t want the child. Chris died in a car accident.” I said looking at the floor now. I felt him hug me and I smiled a little.

“I’ll go make supper.” He said. I knew tings wouldn’t be made up in a day or two but they would be better. I felt my phone buzz and I looked at it to see a call.

I answered, “Hello?” I asked.

“Hello Miss. Martins?” Asked the other person that sounded as a lady.

“Yes, who is this?” I asked concerned.

“My names Mrs. Reynolds I’m from Care House Hospital.”She said.

“Care House Hospital? Isn’t that the hospital a state over?” I asked.

“Yes ma’am we are calling about your son, Sam Martins, He is injured and he is in a coma.” She replied.

Like Father like Son.

“Oh really?” I asked.

“Yes Ma’am” She said again.

“What do you want me to do?” I asked.

“Would you like to come down?” She asked.

“Oh i’d love too I’ll be there soon.” I said smiling and hung up before she said anything.

“Like i’d go to the hospital for him.” I smiles and said quietly and headed into the bathroom.

(Eric Pov)

Back then…

“You’re leaving???” I questioned panicy and upset.

“No. I’m Not leaving. He is.” She said and pointed behind me. I turned and looked at Sammie and felt myself tense up.

“What?!” Me and Sammie said at the same time surprised.

“Get out of my house. And away from Eric now.” Olivia said. I felt myself grow angry and sad and upset and wanting to cry.

“You’re kicking me out?” Sammie asked silently a cracking in his voice trying to hide that he was going to cry.

“You’re 18 you can move out the cab is outside lets go.” She said as she grabbed his bags and threw them outside. I had tears running down my face frozen in shock as he looked at me and then ran upstairs. I wanted to run after him but I couldn’t move. She ran upstairs and came back down dragging Eric with her and I wanted to stop her I did but I know it wouldn’t have ended well.

Instead I ran outside and hugged Sammie quickly but tightly.

“I’ll get you back I promise…” I said In his ear before I felt myself being pulled back by Olivia and I watched as he got in the cab. He mouthed ‘I love you’ to me and my heart broke into a million pieces. And Olivia walked inside.

I walked inside moment later and up to my room where I started crying.

I’m a grown man I shouldn’t cry! But I can’t help it..

I heard a knock on the door.

“Honey?” She asked through the locked door.

I can’t forgive her.

Later…

I heard her phone ring while I was half way down stairs.

I snuck back up them and herd her talking. I couldn’t hear the other person.

“Hello?”

“Yes, who is this?”

“Care House Hospital? Isn’t that the hospital a state over?”

Hospital?!?!?! Next state over…? I felt myself grow worried. Sammie….

“Oh really?”

“What do you want me to do?”

“Oh i’d love too I’ll be there soon.”

I peeked around a small bit to see her and she was smiling.

“Like i’d go to the hospital for him.”

I felt angry But I had to go see him make sure he’s ok I can bring him back!

I quickly came up with a plan in my head. I made dinner quickly and put a small strong crushed sleeping pill in her drink. We sat down for dinner a little bit later, and we ate our food. I watched her closely and engaged in the conversations and acted normal. She finally took a huge drink and I watched how she quickly fell in her food. I was about to help her until I decided not too.

It’s only chicken she will be fine. I ran out of the house and hopped in the car and started driving.
