After confirming the host, Takemichi slowed down to start the docking process.
The information connection was successful, and the system was fully activated!
 Â
“Hello, host! Welcome to System 438!”
“As a reward for your first use, we’re giving you this space storage bag!”

Mikey was what everyone called me, but my full name is Manjiro Sano.
I was the most powerful and influential figure in Demacia, one of the ten kings of the realm. I was feared as a potential candidate for the throne of all Demacia, alongside my gang.
(Let’s just pretend there is still gang here, but gangs are also like a tribe, but the members of the gangs are more likely tribe leaders,, clan leaders, or powerful beastmens)
The fact that I hailed from the most powerful and ancient clan in history only made me more formidable in the eyes of others.

I was really tired.
I had just left a meeting at the Wolf Tribe, which had turned out to be a coincidental gathering. Now that the meeting was over and everyone had returned to their respective gang territories, I was eager to unwind.
I remembered there was a stream nearby and thought it would be a perfect place to relax.
So, I asked my tall best friend to buy me some food and join me at the stream. Although he seemed annoyed at first, I knew him well enough to be sure he would still come through.
Leaving the Wolf Tribe behind, I made my way to the stream. As soon as I arrived, I looked at the clear water and felt an overwhelming urge to dive in.
Without hesitation, I stripped off my clothes and jumped into the water, unaware that someone was already there—someone who was about to change not only my life but also the lives of those around me and the new people I would meet in the future.

Takemichi slowly woke up, rubbing his head as if trying to shake off a voice that had been speaking to him. It seemed to come from some sort of system…
“You are awake,”
Mikey’s voice suddenly rang out as Takemichi started to regain his senses.
Only then did Takemichi realize he was lying on the back of a lion! The sight of the lion triggered a memory of a man transforming into a lion, leaving him feeling a bit frightened.
The lion was enormous and regal, resembling the king of the jungle.
“Neh~ How are you feeling? Are you still unwell?”
Mikey asked, running swiftly with Takemichi on his back.
Carefully, Takemichi sat up, trying to avoid looking down as Mikey’s speed made the ground blur.
“No, I’m fine. Where are you taking me?”
Takemichi asked, still wary but feeling oddly reassured.
Mikey’s speed was impressive, and the wind whipped past them. Takemichi, whose clothes were wet, shivered from the cold.
“I’m taking you to the Wolf Clan to find a witch doctor,”
Mikey said. Noticing Takemichi’s discomfort, he stopped and gently placed him on a large tree.
Mikey then removed a leather skirt and a bone knife from his possession.
“Neh, wait here. I’ll be back soon,”
Mikey said before leaping down and landing lightly on the grass.
Takemichi sat on the tree trunk, gripping the bone knife tightly. He noticed a huge white tiger hiding in the bushes and a wild boar nearby, dozing after a recent meal.
Mikey, in his lion form, waited for the opportune moment.
When the wild boar was completely relaxed, he pounced, sinking his teeth into its neck. Blood sprayed, and the wild boar struggled in vain against the lion’s powerful jaws before being killed.
Takemichi watched in stunned silence. The wild boar was so large it could easily knock him out, yet Mikey had dispatched it with a single bite. He realized he had to reassess Mikey’s strength—such a powerful being could easily crush him if provoked.
Swallowing nervously, Takemichi tried to avoid looking at the scene but found it difficult.
Mikey transformed back into his human form and approached the tree, stretching out his arms.
“Jump down.”
Takemichi hesitated, his fear evident. The jump was over four meters, and he was afraid of injury.
Seeing the fear in Takemichi’s eyes, Mikey understood that his little female was afraid of heights. Having been left by his parents as a child, Mikey had little experience with females, except for his younger sister. He decided to seek help from the Wolf Clan, who would know how to care for females.
Mikey climbed up the tree, gently picked up Takemichi, and jumped down, landing firmly on the ground.
“Give me the knife,”
Mikey said, taking the bone knife from Takemichi. He used it to skin the wild boar and separate the meat from the bones.
“This will help keep you warm,”
Mikey said, wrapping the boar skin around Takemichi’s body.
Feeling the warmth, Takemichi suddenly remembered something.
“My… my egg!”
Mikey looked at him in surprise.
“Your… egg?”
Takemichi, feeling a strange aura, asked,
“Did you see it?”
“… I didn’t, but I carried it with you. Here,”
Mikey said hesitantly, handing over a bag.
Takemichi recognized the bag as the Space Storage Bag from the system earlier. He opened it to find it looked like a black hole.
Reaching inside, he felt something round. He pulled it out to find his egg.
Mikey was stunned as Takemichi retrieved the egg. He felt a pang of pain, realizing Takemichi had something precious. Clearing his throat, Mikey asked,
“Is… is that yours and your mate’s egg?”
Confused by the term “mate,” Takemichi replied,
“Ah, no, it’s not my egg. I found it in the water earlier.”
Mikey’s earlier emotions vanished, replaced by a happy, relieved smile. He ran to hug Takemichi, almost kissing him but stopping himself to avoid upsetting Takemichi.
“Great!”
Mikey exclaimed, leaving Takemichi more confused than before.
Then a familiar voice sounded in Takemichi’s mind:
 Â
“Complete a novice task by collecting a wild boar skin! Collect three animal skins to receive a novice gift package!”
 Â
Takemichi froze.
“Novice quests and gift packs? What are those?!”
he muttered, though the system did not respond.
He wrapped himself tightly in the boar skin, grateful for the warmth despite the bloody smell.
“Thank you,”
Takemichi said softly to Mikey, who didn’t notice the blush on his face.
Mikey, seeing Takemichi’s small form wrapped in the wild boar skin, reached out and touched his ears. Takemichi flinched at the touch.
“Wait for the Wolf Clan. I’ll buy you some clothes,”
Mikey said.
Takemichi, trying to manage his shyness, asked,
“What is the Wolf Clan?”
Mikey was puzzled.
“It’s where the Wolf Clan lives. It’s not far from here. I usually go there to trade or buy what I need.”
“Hmm… it sounds like a village to me,”
Takemichi commented.
“Village?”
Mikey was unfamiliar with the term.
“I’ve only heard of tribes and cities.”
Takemichi’s eyes widened.
“City? What’s that? Are there humans there?”
(Let’s just pretend that the city word Mikey said is not city word we know, so that’s why he was confused at the foreign word)
Mikey looked confused.
“Humans? I’ve never heard of them. Cities are built by orcs—powerful but fierce. If you’re interested, I can take you there someday.”
Takemichi was intrigued.
“Oh.”
Mikey cut the tenderest part of the wild boar and handed it to Takemichi.
“Eat this.”
Takemichi stared at the raw meat in shock.
“This… this is raw meat!”
Mikey was puzzled.
“What’s wrong with raw meat? It’s fresh and tastes good. You should eat it.”
“No, I can’t eat raw meat!”
Takemichi protested.
Mikey frowned.
“You don’t eat meat? No wonder you’re so thin. Not eating meat is bad for your health. Eat it.”
Takemichi was adamant.
“Sorry, but I just can’t eat this.”
Reluctantly, Mikey went off to find wild fruits, which Takemichi ate contentedly.
Mikey observed Takemichi for a moment and then asked,
“Aren’t you a vegetarian? For example, rabbits or deer?”
Takemichi felt a pang of guilt. He was neither a rabbit nor a deer—he was human! Unsure of the consequences of revealing the truth, he answered vaguely,
“I’m omnivorous.”
“Omnivorous? So you eat both meat and vegetarian food?”
Mikey asked.
“Yes,”
Takemichi nodded.
“Then why didn’t you eat the meat? If you’re omnivorous, you should eat meat,”
Mikey said, puzzled.
Takemichi explained,
“It’s not that I don’t eat meat. I just don’t eat it raw. Cooked meat is fine.”
Mikey flinched at the mention of “cooked” meat but didn’t understand why.
“Cooked meat? How do you prepare it? I’ll get it for you!”
Mikey, a dedicated carnivore, was determined to ensure Takemichi’s well-being. Without a pot, he could only manage a barbecue.
“First, you need fire,”
Takemichi began, noticing Mikey’s discomfort at the mention of fire.
“Fire?”
Mikey’s tone changed, revealing a sad and guilty note.
“Have you ever seen fire?”
Takemichi asked cautiously.
“Yes… a very long time ago,”
Mikey admitted, his voice tinged with sorrow.
