“Talking”
‘Thinking’
*Movements/Emotions*
༻﹡﹡Naoto’s POV﹡﹡༺
My Onee-chan and I were taking a peaceful walk through the heart of our tribe when the unexpected happened, something that would shake the entire tribe to its core.
No one saw it coming. No one, except for us.
Though my sister and I had known this day would arrive, the timing caught us off guard. It was far earlier than either of us had anticipated.
As we walked, she greeted members of our clan with warm waves and smiles. Her connection with our people was undeniable-every person she met returned her gestures with respect and fondness.
But then, without warning, she began to glow.
A brilliant, radiant light burst from her body, so intense it was almost blinding. Her entire form shimmered, a glowing beacon that captured everyone’s attention. My eyes widened in shock, and I instinctively froze. The beast people around us were equally stunned, standing in stunned silence, unable to comprehend what they were witnessing.
I felt panic rise in my chest, my heart racing as I rushed to her side.
“O-Onee-chan?!”
I called out, my voice trembling with worry as I circled her, searching for answers.
“What’s happening?!”
Her face, however, told me she understood what was going on. Her expression was calm, though filled with emotion.
She raised a trembling hand to her chest, touching the mark there-the mark that symbolized her bond with Takemichi-and smiled. Her smile was bright, almost as bright as the light radiating from her body, and in that moment, I began to understand.
It was happening. The egg.
Their egg-Takemichi’s and my sister’s-had finally hatched.
Tears welled up in my sister’s eyes as she gently cradled her glowing chest, the mark of a four-leaf clover shining brilliantly.
“Thank you… Thank you… You’re safe… Both of you are safe…”
Her voice cracked with emotion as she whispered over and over again,
Seeing her like that, overwhelmed with relief and joy, nearly brought me to tears. I had never seen her so vulnerable yet so filled with happiness. It was a moment I wanted to savor, to share in her joy, but the crowd gathering around us snapped me back to reality.
People from the tribe were approaching, their faces filled with concern for my sister’s sudden transformation. Though their intentions were good, I knew it was dangerous for them to get too close.
If they found out the truth about Takemichi, about our mate… and about their egg… things could turn very bad, very quickly.
I knew we couldn’t afford for anyone to learn that Takemichi-our mate-and their egg had been missing. It wasn’t something that could be shared with just anyone.
We had called a meeting about it, but only the highest-ranking members of the tribe were present-tribe leaders, clan heads, even some gang leaders. They were the only ones we could truly trust with such delicate information.
I watched my sister, her glow beginning to fade slightly, her eyes still brimming with unshed tears. I couldn’t help but feel relieved. Despite everything, this meant that Takemichi was still alive.
Even if we didn’t know where he was, this sudden light-this connection-meant he was out there, and their egg had hatched.
“Takemichi…”
I whispered softly, my heart swelling with hope and gratitude.
They were safe. Both of them were alive.
But we had to act quickly. The crowd was growing, and murmurs were spreading through the tribe like wildfire. Some were whispering in confusion, others with doubt, and a few had already started forming their own conclusions about what had happened.
“Sis, we need to go,”
I said firmly, gently grabbing her arm.
“It’s safer if we talk about this at home. We can’t let anyone else find out right now.”
She looked around, realizing the truth in my words, and nodded in agreement. We couldn’t risk more people knowing. Not yet.
Together, we started making our way back to our house, trying to avoid drawing any more attention than necessary. But I could still feel the weight of the tribe’s eyes on us, their confusion and concern thick in the air.
They were worried for my sister, of course-but they had no idea of the real danger that lurked behind this miracle.
As we walked, I kept glancing at her. Her face was still flushed with emotion, and her hand hadn’t left the mark on her chest. She was holding onto that connection as if it were the only thing keeping her grounded.
I just hoped that wherever Takemichi was, he could feel it too.

༻﹡﹡No One’s POV﹡﹡༺
 Â
In the dimly lit room, five figures occupied the space.
Two of them were quietly conversing, their voices low and hushed, while another two stood off to the side, observing in silence.
The fifth figure, a beastman, lay unconscious on a large stone bed at the center of the room.
Inside the mind of the beastman, though he remained unconscious, faint whispers echoed through his consciousness.
He could sense the presence of people nearby, close enough that their voices should have been clear, yet their words were muffled, as if hidden behind a veil. He strained to understand them, but only fragments of their conversation made it through.
 Â
“……Save…he…rest…go…drak…go…luckily…”
“….Glad…fall…lost…blood…yes…thank y……Langzhu…doctor…”
The voices continued for a while, but then, one by one, they began to fade. The air grew still, the presence of people gradually disappearing until only one remained.
That person moved closer, the sound of their footsteps faint but deliberate, stopping just beside his ear.
A soft, almost pleading whisper followed.
 Â
“Please wake up soon…”
At that moment, his eyes flew open.
“-Ughhh!”
He groaned, startled by the abruptness of it all.
But before he could fully take in his surroundings, his vision was overwhelmed by the glaring light streaming through a hole in the stone wall-a makeshift window, allowing sunlight to flood the room.
The brightness was so intense it blinded him for several seconds, forcing him to rub his eyes aggressively in a desperate attempt to clear his vision.
As his panic subsided, he took a deep breath and slowly opened his eyes again.
“Where am I-“
Before he could finish his question, an older beastman entered the room, moving quickly toward him.
The beastman, a wolf with graying fur and a worn expression of wisdom, was none other than Lang Zhu, the tribe’s elder healer.
“Seishu! Don’t move”
Lang Zhu warned, his voice filled with concern.
“Your head’s still recovering from the impact of the fall. If you strain yourself, it might start bleeding again.”
Seishu, lying on the large stone slab, felt groggy and disoriented.
His head throbbed painfully, and despite the warnings, he struggled to process everything. He glanced down at his body, noticing the patches of cloth wrapped around his head. His entire body ached, and he felt unusually fatigued.
It didn’t make sense.
He was a beastman, after all.
They were known for their incredible physical strength and endurance, traits that were only heightened after their awakening. Injuries that would cripple ordinary beings were nothing more than a minor inconvenience to them.
So why did he feel so weak, so drained?
“Why do I feel so… off?”
Seishu muttered, his voice raspy.
His skin alternated between hot and cold, his body covered in a thin layer of sweat. Something inside him was unsettled, like a storm brewing just beneath the surface.
Then, without warning, he coughed-once, twice, and then a third time, his body trembling with the effort.
Before Seishu could process what was happening, the sound of footsteps echoed from the entrance of the cave. Another figure entered the room.
A familiar voice, full of relief and excitement, called out.
“Lang Zhu-*gasp*-he’s awake! Oh, thank goodness! You’ve been asleep for three whole days!”
Seishu’s ears twitched at the sound. The voice was soothing, like the gentle flow of water in a quiet stream.
It was smooth and calming, with a subtle warmth that made Seishu momentarily mistake the owner for a female. But as he turned his head, his gaze landed on the figure of a young male.
It was the same beautiful male he had seen under the tree before he lost consciousness.
‘H-huh?’
Seishu thought in confusion.
His heart skipped a beat as the realization hit him. He was alive, but more importantly, the beautiful male was real and standing right before him. His mind raced, trying to grasp the situation.
Not only that…
‘I’ve been a-asleep for what?!’
He nervously thought
The young male, oblivious to Seishu’s internal turmoil, hurried over to Lang Zhu, a mixture of nervousness and relief on his face.
“Lang Zhu, is he okay now? Has his fever gone down?”
The male’s soft voice sent a shiver down Seishu’s spine, and for some reason, he found it hard to tear his gaze away. He watched, his mind still foggy, as the male looked at Lang Zhu anxiously.
‘I-is there something on my face?’
The young male thought, shrinking slightly under Seishu’s intense gaze. His awkward smile betrayed his nervousness.
Lang Zhu, realizing he had forgotten to mention something important, widened his eyes.
“Ah, of course!”
He exclaimed, setting down the items he had brought with him and approaching Seishu’s bedside once more.
“Seishu…”
Lang Zhu began gently.
“Your fever has gone down, and it’s all thanks to this young man here. He stayed by your side and helped care for you while you were unconscious.”
Seishu blinked, his gaze shifting from Lang Zhu to the young male, who was now looking at him with a mixture of concern and curiosity.
He tried to speak but found his throat dry and his thoughts scattered.
The young male blushed slightly under Seishu’s stare and awkwardly scratched the back of his neck.
“I’m just glad you’re awake”
He said softly, his voice carrying that same calming tone.
“We were really worried about you.”
Seishu’s thoughts were still jumbled, but he couldn’t shake the strange feeling that had settled in his chest.
Who was this young man?
And why did his presence make Seishu feel… different?
“Rest for now”
Lang Zhu said, his voice breaking through Seishu’s thoughts.
“You’ve been through a lot, and it’ll take time for your body to recover fully. There’s no rush.”
The healer placed a hand on Seishu’s shoulder, his grip firm but reassuring. Seishu wanted to ask a thousand questions-why he had been out for three days, what had happened to him, why he felt so strange-but his exhaustion got the better of him.
Lang Zhu and the young male exchanged a glance, the older healer nodding slightly.
“We’ll talk more once you’ve regained your strength”
“For now, rest.”
Lang Zhu added.
Seishu hesitated but eventually nodded, allowing his body to relax against the stone bed.
He watched as the young male lingered near the entrance, casting one last glance at him before quietly exiting the cave.
 Â

The next morning came.
Outside of a large cave nestled among the cliffs, the sunlight bathed the earth in a soft golden hue. In front of the entrance stood a petite, yet striking female beastman.
She had long, silky black hair that cascaded down her back, shimmering under the morning sun.
Draped over her shoulders was a regal white fox fur, a symbol of her status and grace. Despite her delicate appearance, her hands were busy, carefully watering the small collection of plants that lined the entrance to the cave.
At first glance, one might wonder why someone as graceful and refined as her was tending to seemingly withered plants, engaging in such laborious work.
It wasn’t common to see other females of the tribe involved in these tasks. Most preferred to rest or focus on their own beauty. But not her.
She was different.
She loved planting, especially the herbs and flowers that the tribe’s healer recommended. It gave her a sense of purpose, a way to contribute to the well-being of her people. She believed in nurturing life, even if others didn’t understand. Her garden, filled with various healing herbs and vibrant flowers, was a testament to her dedication.
As she quietly worked, the sound of footsteps approached from behind.
Emerging from the cave was a tall, well-built male beastman, his presence commanding attention. His long, straight black hair swayed gently with each step, the strands catching the light as if they were made of silk.
Draped over his muscular frame was a large piece of freshly-hunted meat, tied with rope and slung over his broad shoulder.
He was beautiful in a way that only a warrior could be-both fierce and elegant.
But as he drew closer, the female’s sharp instincts immediately sensed someone familiar is behind her.
She turned, prepared to greet him with a smile, but the words caught in her throat when she saw his face.
Her son, her precious cub, looked pale-his skin almost ashen.
His clothes were stained with blood, and fresh wounds marred the exposed muscles of his arms. He looked as though he had just returned from battle.
Worse still, his expression was one of deep disgust, as if something inside him was churning, making him feel sick to his stomach.
Panic gripped her chest.
“Cub… you’re finally b-”
She started, her voice filled with concern, but as she took in his appearance, her heart dropped.
Panic turned to a desperate worry, her voice cracking with fear.
“What happened to you?!”
She moved quickly toward him, her hands trembling as she reached for his wounds, trying to inspect the damage. Her mind raced, immediately jumping to the one conclusion she feared the most.
She knew who could have caused this. There was only one beastman-female who had the audacity to push her son to his limits like this.
“Did that old female do this to you?!”
She demanded, her voice rising with anger.
“Tell me, cub, no-wait! I’ll go to her myself. How dare she hurt you again!”
She was already turning to storm off, her fury mounting with each step as she imagined confronting the one responsible.
Her son, however, caught her gently by the wrist, pulling her back before she could get too far. His grip was firm but careful, showing her both his strength and restraint.
She looked up at him, her eyes full of the worry only a mother could have for her wounded child.
Seeing him like this, bloodied and battered, made her heart ache. She had always known he was strong, stronger than most, but that didn’t stop the protective instincts from flooding her every time he came back injured.
“Mom, calm down.”
His voice was steady, despite the lingering pain in his body.
“I’m okay. Really. You know they can’t beat me no matter what they try. There’s no need to go after her.”
He gave her a reassuring smile, though it did little to ease her worry.
She hesitated, still frowning, her eyes scanning his wounds with concern. She wanted to argue, to tell him he wasn’t as invincible as he thought, but deep down, she knew he was right.
He wasn’t just any ordinary male; he was the tribe leader, and also the first captain of one of the most powerful gangs in this world.
With a heavy sigh, she relented, shaking her head in defeat.
“I just hate seeing you like this”
She admitted softly.
Her son flashed her a broad grin, his sharp, wolf-like teeth glinting in the sunlight.
There was a sense of pride in his expression, the kind that came from knowing he was among the strongest.
Yet, despite his outward bravado, the male still felt the unease stirring inside him. His stomach churned, and the sensation of nausea was growing stronger by the second.
He couldn’t let her know. She had already worried enough.
“I’ll head to Lang Zhu’s cave”
He said, referring to the tribe’s healer.
“I’ll pick up some herbs on the way too, for the old wolf.”
With that, he turned to leave, his body still tense from the morning’s ordeal.
As he walked away, his mind drifted back to the events earlier that day.
This wasn’t the first time something like this had happened, but it had shaken him nonetheless. He knew it would haunt him for the rest of the day, but for now, he had to push it aside.
There were more pressing matters to attend to.
Baji, tribe leader and first captain of Toman, made his way toward the healer’s cave, trying to shake the uneasy feeling that clung to his insides like a bad dream.
 Â
.â— . â— . â— . â— . â— . â— . â— . â— . â— . â— . â— . â—
The moment Baji woke up, he didn’t waste any time. He immediately grabbed his hunting gear and set out into the dense forest, his mind focused on securing a good catch for the day.
Luck seemed to be on his side. Not long after he set off, he managed to hunt down a rare creature with thick, succulent meat-enough to last his family for days.
The heavy carcass slung over his shoulder was a testament to his skill as a hunter.
But as he made his way back home, a familiar irritation gnawed at his insides.
Every time he returned from a successful hunt, his path would take him past the cave of someone he detested more than anything.
An old female.
Worse still, she was his biological grandmother, the mother of his estranged father. He despised the very sight of her.
Whenever they crossed paths, she’d never miss an opportunity to flaunt herself or her mates, seemingly hoping to draw his attention. He always ignored her, keeping his head down and his pace steady, but it didn’t end there.
On days like today, when he was returning with a prized kill, she or one of her mates would stop him. Their demands were always the same.
 Â
“Your grandmother wants the meat you’ve hunted. Leave it for her”
They’d say, trying to guilt him into submission. They would remind him of his bloodline, throwing out phrases like.
 Â
“You wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for your grandmother giving birth to your father.”
Baji’s jaw clenched as he approached their cave. Today was no different. His grandmother was sprawled outside, entangled with her mates, their voices thick with panting and vulgar laughter.
The sight of her sickened him to the core-her wrinkled, leathery skin, her aged body still trying to project a kind of grotesque seduction that made his stomach churn.
He loathed her.
He hated acknowledging that this woman, with her disgraceful display, was his blood. His grandmother. The thought that he had once come from her body-crawled out of the same woman who now disgusted him-made him want to tear his own flesh off in revulsion.
Still, he pushed on, determined to ignore them as always. But just as he was about to pass by without a word, one of her mates stepped into his path, blocking his way.
“Leaving so soon?”
The male sneered, eyeing the carcass slung over Baji’s shoulder.
“You know the drill. Leave the meat. It’s your grandmother’s wish.”
Baji’s eyes darkened. The usual threats began.
“You owe her. If it weren’t for your grandmother, you wouldn’t even exist. Have some respect.”
Baji’s patience snapped.
His grandmother’s mate lunged at him, but Baji was quick to react. In a blur of movement, he swung the carcass down, knocking the male back with its weight.
The fight was brief and brutal.
Within moments, Baji had subdued the male, leaving him groaning in the dirt. His grandmother screeched from her cave, her face twisted in rage as she watched her mate defeated.
For Baji, the sight of her fury was satisfying.
He spat on the ground near her cave entrance before turning on his heel, leaving without a second glance. He didn’t slow down until he was far from the cave, far from the foul stench of her existence.
Yet, even with the victory fresh in his mind, the encounter left him in a foul mood. He felt sick, a wave of disgust lingering in his chest.
By the time he reached his own cave, the dark cloud over his thoughts hadn’t lifted. His mother, who waited for him, noticed his sour expression immediately, but she didn’t ask questions.
He know her mother is someone who had the same personality as him, she wouldn’t easily to back down-he got that from her.
Needing to clear his head, Baji left again, wandering aimlessly through the tribe’s territory.
His feet carried him on their own, and before he realized it, he was standing in front of the stone cave belonging to the old witch doctor.
In the entire tribe, this was one of the few places where quietness reigned.
Baji pushed open the heavy stone door of the old witch doctor’s cave, the earthy smell of herbs and dried plants immediately filling his senses. He wasn’t there for anything specific; he just needed to sit and clear his mind.
But the moment he stepped inside, his eyes narrowed at the sight before him.
On one of the flat stone slabs used for resting, a young male was laying unconscious, someone vaguely familiar to Baji.
But what really caught his attention was further in-across the room, near the herb shelves, a small figure was crouched down.
A young Female, or so he thought at first glance, with short, messy black curls that fell over her face. She was wrapped in animal skins, fumbling around the floor as if searching for something.
Baji’s expression darkened immediately. With long strides, he crossed the room in seconds, grabbing the “female” by the wrist and roughly pulling her to her feet.
“You dare come here to steal? You’re brave, I’ll give you that!”
He growled, his voice low and dangerous.
The person, startled by Baji’s sudden aggression, looked up at him in wide-eyed confusion.
“I wasn’t stealing! My red berries fell into the herbs, and I was just trying to find them!”
The young voice protested, startled and more confused than afraid.
Baji glared at the person in front of him. His long, straight black hair framed his sharp, angular face, and his gold-yellow eyes burned with irritation.
With his deep eyebrows furrowed, the anger on his face made him look even more intimidating. The explanation fell on deaf ears as he tightened his grip.
“Don’t make excuses! You’re a thief!”
He snapped.
“Females like you, always relying on your ability to have children, think you can do whatever you want. It’s disgusting!”
The figure flinched at the words, but soon enough, something changed in their eyes. The initial shock faded, and anger took its place.
Baji’s words had struck a nerve.
Even the most patient person has their limits, and the person standing before him was none other than Takemichi-a male, not a female as Baji had assumed. Normally calm and kind, Takemichi’s patience had just run out.
“First of all-I am not a thief! And second of all-”
Takemichi paused, his face flushing with rage.
“I’m a MALE!”
He snapped, stumbling over his words in frustration.
He wanted to insult Baji but bit his tongue.
“And-if you don’t let me go, I swear I’ll call for help!”
But Baji wasn’t listening. All he heard were the words “not a thief” and “call for help,” the rest lost in his own stubborn assumptions.
“Go ahead and shout!”
Baji sneered, tightening his grip.
“I know your kind. If you call for help, all the males will come running to defend you, but that doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want here! As leader of the wolf tribe, I won’t allow anyone to steal from the tribe. Not even you, Female!”
Takemichi’s eyes widened, and was speechless.
His face flushed red, this time from sheer anger. How could this brute not only accuse him of being a thief but also mistake him for a female? His hands shook with frustration.
He glanced around the room, desperate for some way out of this absurd situation.
His mind raced, knowing Mikey had just left the tribe for a hunt, Draken was busy cleaning their cave, and Lang Zhu, their tribe healer, was out gathering herbs. With no one around to back him up, he realized he had to think fast.
Takemichi’s eyes darted toward the door behind Baji, and in an instant, an idea struck him. Feigning shock, his eyes widened as he gasped,
“Lang Zhu-san! What’s wrong?!”
Baji, caught off guard by the sudden concern in Takemichi’s voice, whipped his head around to check the entrance of the cave.
It was all the distraction Takemichi needed. Without wasting a second, he launched himself forward, aiming a sharp jab at Baji’s chin.
The blow connected. Baji stumbled back, clutching his jaw, his eyes wide with surprise. He couldn’t believe it. This supposed “female” had not only fought back but had enough strength to actually land a hit.
“What the hell-?”
Baji muttered, rubbing his chin, glaring at Takemichi.
“How dare you sneak attack me, you-!”
But before he could finish his sentence, Takemichi cut him off, finally fed up.
“For the last time-“
Takemichi growled, his voice trembling with anger.
“-I. AM. NOT. A. FEMALE!”
The words echoed in the quiet cave, finally sinking into Baji’s thick skull. He blinked, taking a step back as the realization hit him.
Takemichi was standing tall now, his fists clenched, and his face flushed with a mixture of anger and embarrassment.

Author’s Note:
Helloooooo!
Guess who’s back after disappearing for a whole week while rewriting our stories?
And guess who passed out in class (college, by the way) and got banned from using gadgets for an entire week?
Yep, that’s me-Villa!
Actually, I got banned from using gadgets for two whole weeks, lol! 🤣
I’m not sure how to explain this or if I should go into too much detail, but if you’re curious, here’s the important part. It was morning, just before class started (I’m in my second year of college, btw), when I suddenly felt dizzy and lightheaded… and then everything spun, and I blacked out.
By the time I woke up, it was the next day. The doctor told me-and my parents-that I hadn’t been getting enough rest lately, and my body just gave out(-Actually, I’m also stress out of all lots things). After that, not only was I absent for two days to recover, but I also got scolded by my parents and banned from using any gadgets… even the TV.
So for two weeks, all I did was eat, sleep, do some light exercise, and read a few books (novels, but only for 2 to 3 hours a day). Oh, and I also wrote chapters-not just for this story, but for others too-in my notebook so that when I got back, I could upload everything here… which is now!
So yeah, that’s basically what happened to me.
By the way, the two other authors here will be active for the next 2 to 3 days, so we might publish a lot of chapters or even start new stories during that time.
Anyway, that’s all! You can move on to the next chapter now.
