༻﹡﹡No One’s POV﹡﹡༺
“Arghhh, where the hell is he?!”
A frustrated voice echoed just beyond the borders of the rocky mountain tribe.
The speaker, a young male with a scowl etched into his face, clenched his fists, pacing back and forth.
“Tsk, should I just go to the tribe leader and ask for help?”
He had been circling the tribe for hours, searching high and low, both inside the village and along its outskirts, for one person-his friend. The same friend who, three weeks ago, had left abruptly, mumbling something about looking for someone, something important.
Four days later, he returned, battered, a rough-hewn cloak of animal skins draped over his head, clearly hurt-he smelt herds-clearly he had been in the tribe healers cave.
The moment he saw the state his friend was in, fury boiled inside him. He had demanded to know what happened, what caused the injuries. But all he got in return was a dismissive response-something about falling from a tree.
Naturally, he hadn’t believed it. He pressed for the truth, pushed again and again, but the same vague answer always came back until he finally gave up in frustration.
He thought that would be the end of it. But no-things only got stranger after that.
His friend started acting weird, like he wasn’t fully there anymore. He’d catch him staring off into space, muttering under his breath about something the other man couldn’t quite make out.
There was always this one direction he seemed fixated on.
Once, out of curiosity, the frustrated man had followed his friend’s gaze, expecting to see something unusual-but there was nothing. Empty space. He brushed it off, telling himself his friend was just being paranoid, though deep down, a nagging concern gnawed at him.
And then, his friend vanished. No word, no warning-gone for a full week.
“Dammit!”
The young male cursed, slamming his fist against the nearest tree in anger and helplessness.
His dark brows furrowed deeply as he marched through the market square, his mind racing. Every corner, every shadowed alley, his eyes scanned for a sign.
He was no closer to finding answers.
Just as he was about to pass a row of bustling stalls, the ground seemed to shake beneath heavy footsteps. He stopped, sensing a presence behind him-something big, something imposing.
A massive figure approached, effortlessly parting the crowd. Heads turned as people instinctively stepped aside for the newcomer, who radiated power and authority.
This man was a beast of a figure-his towering height matched by his broad, muscular build. His hair was wild, a striking blend of electric blue streaked with shocks of white, cascading in thick waves past his shoulders.
It framed his sharp, chiseled face, the color so vibrant against his lightly sun-kissed skin that it almost seemed to glow. His dark eyes, deep and piercing, held a fierce, unwavering intensity.
“Oi, Kokonoi!”
The large man bellowed, his voice deep and resonant, cutting through the noise of the marketplace like a blade.
His gaze locked onto the smaller man.
The black-haired male turned sharply at the sound of the voice. His narrowed eyes, which were sharp and almost cat-like in their intensity, scanned the figure before him. His posture stiffened slightly, betraying the tension that had been building up in him all morning.
Without a word, Kokonoi Hajime stood there, his piercing gaze meeting the other man’s with a mixture of curiosity and wariness.
His dark hair, sleek and carefully groomed, hung just above his shoulders, tied loosely with a thin, golden band that caught the sunlight. Despite his refined appearance, there was an edge to him-something calculating in the way his eyes flicked across the market, always watching, always thinking.
The larger man crossed his arms, his muscles flexing under his skin as he loomed over Kokonoi, his presence demanding attention.
“Huh? What do you want, Taiju?”
The male’s voice was low and guarded, clearly irritated by the sudden interruption.
His sharp, black eyes glanced at the towering figure before him.
Taiju’s eyes narrowed, his piercing yellow gaze locking onto Kokonoi.
“Is that how you talk to your leader? Where’s your respect?”
His tone was heavy with authority, though the faintest hint of irritation was noticeable.
Kokonoi, however, wasn’t in the mood to argue. He stayed silent, his jaw tightening. That silence almost set off Taiju’s temper, but he held it back, breathing deeply as if forcing himself to remain calm.
“Never mind. Where’s Seishu?”
Je asked, his voice growing more serious.
“We need to get going. The cold season is nearly upon us, and if we delay any longer, it’s going to be a problem.”
Kokonoi froze at the question. His friend, Seishu, had been missing for almost a week now, and no matter how hard he had tried to find him, there was still no trace.
Noticing the sudden shift in Kokonoi’s demeanor, Taiju’s sharp mind quickly pieced together that something was wrong. His already serious expression darkened further.
“Where is he?”
Taiju asked, his voice low, yet demanding. He already seemed to suspect the answer.
Kokonoi swallowed, clearly uncomfortable.
“Let’s not talk here. Too many people are watching”
He muttered, glancing around at the onlookers in the market who had grown curious about their interaction.
Without waiting for a reply, Kokonoi motioned for Taiju to follow him.
Taiju scanned the crowd, then nodded silently. The two of them left the bustling market and made their way toward the cave they were using as a base.
Inside the quiet of the cave, Kokonoi finally explained everything-how Seishu had been acting strangely, how he’d gone missing, and the failed attempts to track him down. As Kokonoi spoke, he noticed every flicker of emotion pass over Taiju’s face-concern, frustration, and finally, anger.
“Damn it.”
Taiju rubbed his temples, the stress clearly taking its toll.
Kokonoi, already exhausted from days of searching, could only watch, feeling just as frustrated.
“So, what now?”
Kokonoi asked, his voice laced with uncertainty.
Taiju’s ears twitched as he looked up, his expression hardening.
“What do you mean, ‘what now’? We find him”
He said bluntly.
“But if we can’t find him in two days, we’re leaving with or without him. The cold season is coming fast, and if we don’t get out of here soon, we’re all as good as dead.”
Kokonoi flinched at Taiju’s harsh response, his face darkening with worry.
“We can’t just leave him behind! You know what’ll happen if his sister finds out we didn’t-“
He began, and thought something at the same time.
‘Surely, she will kill me-‘
But Taiju cut him off.
The larger man exhaled heavily, his expression hardening. It was clear that this wasn’t the first time they’d had this conversation.
“Then stop wasting your time here. If he’s out there in the wilds again, you won’t find him by wandering the market like a lost pup.”
Kokonoi tensed, his sharp gaze snapping back to the other man’s face. The words stung, but there was truth in them. He had been going about this the wrong way, searching without a plan, without a clear direction.
But what else could he do?
Every lead, every clue had led him back to nothing. And all the while, the same question haunted him-what exactly had his friend gotten himself into?
“I know that……”
Taiju growled, his voice low and filled with frustration.
“But we don’t have time to waste. If he’s not back by then, we move on. Simple as that.”
Kokonoi’s heart sank. He knew the risks of staying too long-being trapped by the cold or worse. But leaving Seishu behind felt like a betrayal.
“Let’s go, we still need to find him”
Taiju turned toward the cave’s entrance, but stopped abruptly, as if struck by a sudden thought.
Kokonoi, sensing his hesitation, looked at him quizzically, his brow furrowed. He realized what Taiju was thinking without a word passing between them.
Kokonoi stepped forward, taking the lead this time.
“Let’s go to the Tribe leader. Maybe they can help us find him.”
Without another word, Taiju followed Kokonoi as they headed toward the cave of Keisuke Baji, the Tribe leader of this tribe.

As Taiju and Kokonoi approached the entrance of the Cave of Keisuke, the early morning light cast long shadows across the rugged terrain.
The cave’s dark entrance loomed ahead, framed by jagged rocks and overgrown vegetation. The air was crisp, carrying the scent of damp earth and moss, mingled with the faint hint of wood smoke from a distant fire.
The two figures walked with purpose, their footsteps echoing softly against the rocky path. As they drew nearer, they noticed a familiar silhouette near the entrance of the cave.
Ryoko, Keisuke’s mother, was a striking figure.
Despite the early hour, she was already busy with her daily tasks. Her presence was warm and welcoming, a stark contrast to the rugged landscape around her.
She was dressed in practical, weathered clothing suited for life in the cave. She wore a simple, dark green crop top made from tanned animal hides, which offered both coverage and freedom of movement. The crop top, though basic, was well-worn and showed signs of frequent use, with small patches and repairs attesting to its practicality.
Her lower garments consisted of a short, brown leather skirt that provided modest coverage while allowing ease of movement. The skirt was fashioned from durable hides, its edges slightly frayed from constant wear.
Her attire, though minimalistic, was functional and adapted to the harsh conditions of her environment, reflecting a blend of practicality and resilience.
Her hands were covered in earth from tending to her small garden outside the cave’s entrance.
Even from a distance, Taiju and Kokonoi recognized her. There was only one female associated with Baji’s cave, and that was Keisuke’s mother, Ryoko.
“Ryoko-san! Good morning. Is your cub-Keisuke in the cave?”
Taiju’s voice rang out, softer and more respectful than usual.
His tone carried a genuine concern that contrasted with his usual formidable demeanor.
Ryoko turned, her eyes narrowing in recognition as she saw the two men approaching. Her face brightened with a warm smile, though a hint of surprise crossed her features.
Taiju Shiba was a commanding presence.
Taiju’s attire was a testament to his many battles and his life in the beast world. He wore a rugged, dark leather mantle that draped heavily over his broad shoulders. The mantle, crafted from tanned animal hides, was scarred from countless encounters, its surface marred by deep gouges and faded patches. Reinforced with additional layers of hide, it provided both protection and a sense of formidable strength.
Beneath the mantle, Taiju wore a tight-fitting, sleeveless tunic of deep blood-red fabric, highlighting his impressive muscular build. The tunic, made from durable linen, was designed to withstand the demands of his environment.
For lower garments, Taiju sported a simple loincloth made from sturdy animal hides, tied securely at his waist. His legs were further protected by leggings made from layered hides, offering both flexibility and resilience.
His heavy, leather boots, scuffed and worn from countless journeys and battles, clomped with a resonant thud with every step he took.
Taiju’s attire, though primitive, was adapted to the harsh conditions of his world, blending primal elements with his imposing, battle-hardened presence.
Following behind was Kokonoi Hajime, whose presence was marked by elegance and sophistication even in the primitive world.
Kokonoi wore a cloak made from the luxurious pelt of a black fox, its rich texture highlighted by natural, intricately patterned markings. The cloak draped over his shoulders with an air of regality, its dark fur glistening subtly in the morning light.
Beneath the cloak, his physique was lean yet powerfully built, showcasing a toned, well-defined torso that spoke of both strength and agility. Kokonoi’s movements were smooth and deliberate, each gesture reflecting a blend of grace and authority.
His attire was complemented by a simple yet elegant loincloth made from fine, tanned leather, which allowed for freedom of movement while emphasizing his commanding presence.
The loincloth was adorned with intricate beadwork and patterns, adding a touch of refined artistry to his rugged appearance.
Kokonoi’s overall look, though rooted in the primal aesthetics of the Stone Age, exuded an air of sophistication and control, blending natural elegance with his formidable strength.
Ryoko’s eyes widened further as she took in the sight of Kokonoi and Taiju, both of whom she had not seen for two cold seasons. Her excitement was palpable, her cheeks flushing slightly as she recognized them.
“Ara! If it isn’t Koko and Taiju! It’s been two cold seasons! How have you both been? What about your mother and siblings?”
Ryoko’s voice was filled with genuine warmth and curiosity.
(She means, it’s been 2 years)
The two men responded immediately, their tones reflecting the respect they held for Ryoko.
“Well, we’ve been okay, Aunty”
Kokonoi said honestly, his smile reassuring.
Ryoko then turned her attention to Taiju.
“…Still alive-Ouch!”
Ryoko’s wooden digging tool, which she had been using to tend to her garden, smacked Taiju on the shoulder. The force of the blow drew a wince from him. Ryoko’s expression shifted from warmth to disapproval.
“What do you mean by that? Don’t tell me you’re still treating your siblings poorly!”
Ryoko’s voice was stern, her concern evident.
Taiju winced again but quickly raised his hands in a defensive gesture.
“I mean, they’re healthy, and Ryoko-san, I’ve already sworn that I won’t hurt them. I haven’t broken any promises!”
Taiju’s voice held a mixture of frustration and earnestness.
Ryoko’s frown softened as she listened to Taiju’s explanation. She seemed to accept his reassurances, though a touch of skepticism remained.
“*Ahem* Alright then. But what brings you two here?”
Ryoko asked, her curiosity piqued.
“We’re looking for Keisuke, Aunty”
Kokonoi replied, his tone serious.
“Why?”
Ryoko inquired, her interest clearly heightened.
Kokonoi took a deep breath and began to explain their reason for searching for Keisuke.
He detailed the events leading up to their search, the urgency of their quest, and the importance of finding Keisuke. As Kokonoi spoke, Ryoko’s expression shifted from curiosity to one of amusement.
Suddenly, Ryoko burst into laughter, a sound that rang out in the quiet morning air. The laughter was light and joyful, but it left both men puzzled and slightly apprehensive.
“So it’s Seishu, huh? Hahahaha!”
Ryoko laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
Her laughter left Taiju and Kokonoi exchanging confused glances. They wondered what could possibly be so funny about their serious search.
A week ago, Ryoko had visited Lang Zhu’s cave, searching for answers about her son’s mysterious disappearance. She had learned that Keisuke only appeared to drop off meat from his hunts before vanishing again.
Concerned and feeling unwell, Ryoko had been desperate to uncover the truth. Eventually, she discovered that Keisuke had been involved in a romantic relationship, something she initially found hard to believe.
However, when Keisuke’s own admissions confirmed the truth, Ryoko had come to accept it. She also realized who was involved in this situation, including Seishu Inui, the very person Taiju and Kokonoi were searching for.
As Ryoko’s laughter subsided, she looked at the two men with a knowing smile.
“U-uh”
Kokonoi began, his uncertainty clear.
Before he could continue, a figure emerged from the depths of the cave, surprising both men.
The early morning light illuminated the entrance or the road lead to the cave as Keisuke appeared, carrying the meat he had hunted for his mother.
He stepped into view, his presence a welcome sight for Taiju and Kokonoi.
Keisuke stood before them, his expression a mix of curiosity and mild annoyance at the unexpected visitors. His rugged appearance and determined stance made it clear that he was ready to face whatever came next.

༻﹡﹡Bajj’s POV﹡﹡༺
How did this happen?
I was just delivering the meat I had hunted to my mother as usual when I stumbled upon these bastards standing in front of her.
At first, I thought they were just more of the usual troublemakers-like the mates if that old hug or some grunts from a rival gang.
My initial reaction was to charge in and beat the shit out of them, but I halted in my tracks when I got a good look at the two.
There was no mistaking them.
Taiju Shiba and Kokonoi Hajime-faces I recognized from countless gatherings, fights, and meetings.
They weren’t just random intruders; they were well-known figures from the scene. Seeing them here, right in front of my mother, was both baffling and enraging.
I couldn’t help but wonder how these two had ended up in this cave.
“Hmmm, so you’re here for Inu-kun?”
Takemitchy’s voice cut through the tension with a casual smile.
So how did those two end up here in Takemitchy’s cave?!
Arghhhhh, right. I lead them here. In my mom request and How much desperate-only Kokonoi, they’re searching for Inui.
Thought I don’t like that idea of taking them here, but here we are….
And now…. Those bastards…
It was infuriating how relaxed Takemitchy was while those two bastards were practically drooling over him!
Seriously, stop looking at Takemitchy like that or I might just rip out your eyes!
Their gazes were fixed on Takemitchy, and it was clear they were more interested in him than anything else. My blood was boiling as I watched them.
Seriously, it’s entirely my fault for leading them here.
I should have called Inui to came out instead. And now I’m sowing what I reap. F*ck!
“Uh, Kokonoi and Taiju, right?”
Takemitchy asked again, his smile widening.
The two men remained speechless, their confusion palpable. They were obviously unprepared for the sight before them.
Well, I could understand their shock.
Takemitchy had that effect on people. But the way these two were shamelessly gawking at him was crossing the line!
Soon i notice Takemitchy’s discomfort growing with every passing second. He was shifting uneasily under their intense scrutiny.
So i shot a look at Inui, hoping he’d get the hint. Fortunately, he did and nudged Kokonoi with his elbow, snapping him out of his daze.
Kokonoi, flustered and panicked, finally managed to compose himself.
“A-ah, yes, I’m Kokonoi, and this is Taiju. Um… Michi?”
The nickname “Michi,” which only Inui had ever used, made takemitchy flinch. He wasn’t used to hearing it from anyone else, and it was clear it made him uncomfortable.
“And yes, we’re here for Seishu”
Taiju said suddenly.
Unlike Kokonoi, he spoke with a calm confidence, almost as if he were used to making demands without any sign of nervousness.
As we chatted, it became evident that Taiju and Kokonoi were determined to tease Takemitchy.
Their-Tajiu and Kokonoi playful jabs and teasing remarks towards Takemitchy were relentless, and it was clear they were enjoying themselves far too much.
And I swear….
If Mikey or Draken were here, those two bastards would be in serious trouble. The fact that they were getting away with this without immediate repercussions was beyond frustrating.
As the conversation drew to a close, Takemitchy and I exchanged a glance. We both knew that something needed to be done to address the situation without escalating it further.
“Alright, you’ve had your fun”
I said, trying to keep my tone firm but controlled.
“If you’re here for Inui, honestly you can just take him”
This made Inui widen his eyes with mic of betrayal and surprise.
“But today’s case, you’ll have to wait until Mikey and Draken arrived. And We’ll arrange a meeting for tomorrow.”
Taiju and Kokonoi nodded, their expressions a mix of amusement and acknowledgment. They soon took their leave, leaving the cave and its occupants in a state of uneasy calm.
Of course, they never failed to flirt with Takemitchy-especially that sly male, Kokonoi.
With the visitors gone, I turned to Takemitchy and Inui.
“Thanks for handling that”
I said, my tone softening.
I ran my hand to my hair.
“I know it wasn’t easy.”
“It’s no problem. We managed.”
Takemitchy gave a small, appreciative smile.
As the sun continued to rise, the atmosphere in the cave began to settle. The earlier disturbance faded into memory as Takemitchy and I prepared to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
It was clear that while the day had brought unexpected visitors and awkward encounters, it had also reinforced the strength of our bonds and our ability to handle whatever came our way.
Soon after that, the two-Mikey and Draken finally arrived.
