Fortunately, Song Qinghan seemed to be the chosen one who was blessed by the Buddha. Yet Luo Haiyun was rather surprised as Song Qinghan did so as he opened his eyes wide, saying, “His pulse becomes steadier now, he seems to be in the course of recovery! He is saved!”

Hearing that, Song Qinghan finally collapsed onto the ground as if he was the patient’s family members who were nervous for the result of the operation.

Yuan Wenxuan didn’t rush to pack everything but approached to Song Qinghan and picked him up, helped Song Qinghan wrap up his wounded hand and then commenced picking up every pieces messed by the operation.

The smell of blood permeated all over in the room, Luo Haiyun slowly straightened his back while staring at the patient who was with a face of peacefulness. His sight fixed on the wound on the patient’s belly.

Then, he walked to the table where Yuan Wenxuan placed the items on and carefully browsed at the scalpels and the excised stomach tissues in lesion.

“Miracle… What a miracle!”

He muttered and turned to look at Song Qinghan who was resting with his eyes closed. Deep in his pupils a light of admiration could be caught.

Just as he was about to say something, a door-knocking noise sounded coming with the shopkeeper’s meticulously tentative voice.

“I just heard screams from inside, but what’s wrong with that patient? Sir Xian is here, he wants to help and see if he is able to lengthen his life for few more days!”

Luo Haiyun glanced at Song Qinghan but Yuan Wenxuan was the one who spoke.

“Excuse me, Doctor Luo, would you please lend a hand and get the door? Master is exhausted right now, he needs to have a good rest!”

Luo Haiyun nodded and opened the door. When he met Sir Xian, he didn’t salute but just lowered slightly his head.

Sir Xian didn’t seem to have any complaints about this, but there was some doubt in his eyes. He frowned and asked, “Why are you showing up here? And what causes the smell of blood inside the room? Did the patient vomit some blood out?”

When he walked into the room and saw the unconcealed wound on the patient’s belly, he turned pale with shock and fright. Pointing at the scene, he trembled, “What… What happened here?”

He got exasperated suddenly, seemingly being flustered and furious and about to inquire Song Qinghan of the whole matter. Yet he was blocked by Luo Haiyun the next moment, Luo Haiyuan took the initiative to lead Sir Xian to the bed where the patient lay, and then lifted the patient’s wrist, saying slightly, “Check it out yourself!”

The bad-tempered Sir Xian seemed to be quite tolerant towards Luo Haiyun. He didn’t come up and argue with the man but just closed his eyes while starting taking the patient’s pulse.

“Hmm?”

He suddenly opened his eyes with a confused expression on his face.

Luo Haiyun smiled as if he was kind of proud of what Song Qinghan had done and said slowly, “See? The disease is cured by Doctor Song!”

Sir Xian was not the only one who delivered a face of astonishment, even the shopkeeper opened his mouth wide as if his two lips almost drooped and fell on the ground.

“So fast?!”

Sir Xian put down the patient’s hand and did not intend to take a further examination. Because he was fully assured now that the patient was all fine now diagnosed by his pulse. In addition, it was Luo Haiyun who told him the truth, the man had no reason to lie to him at all.

“Did you witness the whole process? What did he do?” asked Sir Xian curiously.

He stood up slowly, asked so because he was completely confused and curious towards the fact.

Luo Haiyun glanced at Yuan Wenxuan and saw the boy nodded. He explained, “Doctor Song opened the patient’s stomach and cut off something inside. Then he stitched it up with a needle and poured his blood into the patient’s body.”

Sir Xian didn’t bother to sigh with emotion that Luo Haiyun would comply with a little child’s gesture, he was just totally attracted by the topic Luo Haiyun mentioned.

“Impossible! I never heard such a matter before!”

Luo Haiyun didn’t explain further after Sir Xian retorted, he just smiled faintly, “Oh, by the way, the one who quelled the outbreak of small pox is Doctor Song either!”

Hearing that, Sir Xian got his expression with shock combined with a serious astonishment, he pointed at Song Qinghan with his trembling fingers, shouting, “No way! You’re not lying?”

The shopkeeper was also shocked. He looked at Song Qinghan in disbelief and pinched himself quietly. When he realized that everything was not in a dream, the emotions in his eyes became even more complicated.

He should have guessed that the person who could be introduced by Doctor Luo- the highly skilled doctor wouldn’t be an ordinary one! If Song Qinghan’s request wasn’t too strange, he wouldn’t have thought too much. If he had known this fact, he should have reached an agreement with him that day. Fortunately, it wasn’t too late, or they would have missed out on a new highly skilled doctor!

Song Qinghan gradually regained his consciousness as he could clear some noises buzzing around, he struggled to open his eyes. At the moment he caught the sight of Sir Xian and the shopkeeper, he tried his best to stand up, and then made a bow with hands folded in front, “It’s luck to succeed curing the patient, in addition, I have already had an ideal choice for assisting my work, he will be in charge of that.”

Sir Xian turned his head following the direction where Song Qinghan pointed at, and then he asked while showing an expression of queerness, “Him? He indeed is a good choice, but…”

“No ‘But’ thing! I’ve already made up my mind, I will cooperate with Doctor Song and strive to save more patients.”

Luo Haiyun interrupted, and then stood aside by Song Qinghan obediently.

Seeing that, Sir Xian and the shopkeeper looked at each other in the eyes without words. Just before they left, the shopkeeper turned to Song Qinghan, saying with a smile, “From now on, you will be the distinguished doctor in duty in the Huichun Shop, and the words you have mentioned days ago will surely come into effect. Just inform me if you need something, and that wooden board will be a symbol for you and represent you as a distinguished doctor here. I will now make an announcement that seeing the wooden board is equivalent to seeing you!”

Song Qinghan was not used to his politeness. He nodded hesitantly and said to Luo Haiyun after seeing them leave, “We got a smooth cooperation today, I hope we will keep the fine relationship. Well, I am exhausted right now, and I’m going back home. I need you to look after the subsequent nursing for this pitiful man. I think you’re quite better than me in this factor.”

Luo Haiyun nodded and didn’t intend to be humble at all. He looked at the back of Song Qinghan, put his hands on the back and then left at the same time.

In fact, he did get a speculation in his mind that Song Qinghan indeed had no idea about taking pulse and making up a prescription but just good at ‘disemboweling’ his patients. But it was nothing big at all because taking pulse and making up a prescription weren’t something requiring an extraordinary talent, yet as for the ‘disemboweling’ stuff, probably no one was able to make it expect Song Qinghan. Probably Yuan Wenxuan would count in, but it seemed that the little boy still got a long way to go.

Song Qinghan went back his room to have a rest after lunch. And finally regained his strength after a complete and peaceful rest after noon.

The reason why he was so exhausted this time was not only because he had consumed too much strength into the operation, but also because of that full bowl of blood.

Even till now he still couldn’t confirm whether he got a type O blood or not. So it was still risky to apply such a measure to cure the others. The success of this time was indeed his luck that his blood match the patient’s one. It was just a lucky yet still risky attempt.

Three days passed in the blink of an eye and the auspicious day on the Tung Shing had finally arrived. The shop in the bustling area finally started its business by the effort of Song Qinghan and Hualian.

Compared to the exquisite decoration of other shops, their shop looked a little shabby, only a few big pots and rows of food shelves could be seen. Expect those stuff, only emptiness was left.

Under Song Qinghan’s suggestion, they started their business by offering those passers-by free sample. Anyone who passed by got a chance to eat for free. But the ‘policy’ ruled that every single customer was not allowed to take more than one bowl from the same kind. In that case, it was still controllable scene for them.

Probably it was influenced by the notoriousness of the former business, even people had lined up trying to take a share of the spoils, some of them would still ask dubiously, “They’re indeed with good taste, but how come they got a strange flavor? Did you add some ‘soul extracting powder’ in them?”

In fact, such an inquiry would be the kind-hearted and mild one, those who stayed afar in distance would directly slander their shop as a ‘Poisonous Shop with unknown drug’. Even worse, they blocked the way for those who came by, and claimed that anyone who tasted the free sample would surely get ill.

Hualian was rather furious towards such a scene, he rolled up his sleeves and was about to come up to argue with those men. Yet he was still blocked by Song Qinghan. Song Qinghan squinted his eyes, whispered something in Hualian’s ears and then walked away from the backdoor quietly.

After those people finished making a fuss, they finally left with satisfaction as they noticed that only few people still lingered in front of their shop.

However, it would be out of their cautions that Song Qinghan followed them behind embracing his arms leisurely, in his chest stuffed packs of powder-like gadget.

Song Qinghan walked for a while and finally saw that the group of people walking into a shop as he expected. He sneered and walked over directly and then sprinkled the powder in his arms into the air. When he saw that those people were all in their panic, he responded calmly, “I’m not going to lie, but this is what we had added in our food. Enjoy it yourself and check it out whether it is harmful to your physical health or not.”

The white powder scattered and floated on the food in the shop. Although it was melted in an instant without any trace, yet anyone in the shop got their eyes, they exactly knew what had happened just then. Thus as a result, their sight fixing on the food changed suddenly into a queer one.

The few people recognized Song Qinghan and their expressions changed. They pointed at him and asked, “What are you doing? Someone goes and gets the yamen runners here! He is trying to poison people!”

Song Qinghan calmly asked, “Are you sure you want to get the yamen runners over here? If no poison are detected in the food, probably you will be accused of slander. Alright… If that’s what you want to see, go and get them here!”

If he stopped the people in the shop, they might persisted in getting the yamen runners here. Yet what he said was rather ambiguous, and such a response made the staff in the shop become quite dithering, they looked at each other, not knowing wha to do.

And then Song Qinghan sneered, pinched several pieces of the food and put them directly in his mouth, he then raised his eyebrows while chewing, “Hmm, not that bad! They became more delicious after combining with the spices from our shop. If you want to have a long-term cooperative relationship with us, we can come straight to the point.”

The customers at the door were almost gone by Song Qinghan’s ruckus, and the people in the shop were a little less worried. They reached out to imitate the movement Song Qinghan did, pinching several pieces of the food into their mouths. Just as they tasted the food with a new flavor, the expressions on their faces started to be of queerness.

“Are you fully assured that this stuff is not poisonous? And it’s not something like the ‘soul extracting’ powder?”
