A Broken Mirror Reunited In An E-Sports Ch 35

A+ A-

Rong Yi looked at the last four characters and felt a little embarrassed and his heart beating faster.

He was too susceptible to Xiao Yin’s way of doing things, even though he knew he had no ulterior motives, he still fell for it.

Seeing Xiao Yin’s intention, Rong Yi stopped being polite and said, “Then let me treat you. I’ll go to bed first, and we’ll leave when we wake up naturally tomorrow?”

Xiao Yin replied with an OK.

So Rong Yi quickly went to bed.

However, because Xiao Yin said he would be back in the early morning, he subconsciously thought about it, which kept him from sleeping well all night.

Subconsciously, he always felt that there might be some movement from Xiao Yin in the middle of the night, but because he hadn’t heard anything, he stayed in a light sleep all night.

The next morning, Rong Yi got up with slightly dark circles under his eyes.

He got dressed and looked outside. The villa was quiet. It was only 7:30 in the morning, and neither Ci She nor Jui Mao had gotten up yet.

Xiao Yin’s door opposite was tightly closed, and Rong Yi didn’t know if he had not returned or was still sleeping.

Rong Yi went to the dining area and ordered a bowl of soy milk and fried dough sticks. He ate and checked his messages.

Lin Yi had been up all night and sent him a message: “Easy, are you guys resting? I’m in the city today. Do you want to come and hang out?”

Rong Yi took a bite of his fried dough stick and replied with his free hand, “I’m not free today. I’m having dinner with Yin.”

Lin Yi replied, “Oh, a date. You still love him, don’t you?”

Rong Yi blushed a little.

Even so, he still felt the need to clear his name, “Well…technically, we’re still together.”

“That’s a pity. I recently met a younger brother who is the same orientation as you. I was going to recommend a few more people to you so you wouldn’t hang yourself on Xiao Yin’s tree.”

Lin Yi sighed, “Yin is fine in every way, but he doesn’t seem to be considerate. I’ve been thinking about it for days and I’m afraid you’ll suffer. After all, I introduced you to him.”

Rong Yi didn’t want to continue this topic, so he quickly changed the subject, “Who do you recommend? Are they handsome?”

Of course, he didn’t have the time to look for another partner. Xiao Yin was already too much for him to handle.

Lin Yi was also a brave and resourceful person. He actually sent a few high-resolution images to him, which seemed to be forwarded from someone else’s daily updates.

“They are all cool-looking guys, are you sure you’ll like them?”

“Wow.”

Rong Yi took a glance and complimented as a formality, “Nice abs.”

Lin Yi said, “Oh no, you’re already looking at men’s abs, you’re really bending.”

Rong Yi sent a big white goose expression of confusion.

But the only one who really made his heart beat faster was that one person.

The abs in the picture… were quite nice.

It’s just that compared to someone else’s, they were different.

Xiao Yin’s skin was whiter, his lines were harder, and touching him…

Rong Yi then realized what he was thinking about so early in the morning.

He buried his head in his tofu pudding and ate.

The tofu pudding was very hot, so he concentrated on cooling it down. It wasn’t until he noticed a shadow in front of him that he realized someone had sat down across from him.

He put the tofu pudding in his mouth and lifted his eyes, only to find that it was Xiao Yan.

Xiao Yin looked slightly tired, but his gaze was as calm and indifferent as usual. “Morning.”

Rong Yi silently turned off and put away his phone that was on the table, and said, “Morning. When did you come back today?”

“At 4:30 in the morning. I slept for a little while on the plane.” Xiao Yin said.

Rong Yi made a sound of acknowledgment. Suddenly, he heard Xiao Yin ask in a low voice, “What are you looking at?”

His eyes were very sharp, and Rong Yi had just thrown his phone onto the table. It was a big picture of a man’s abs with distinct lines.

Rong Yi also knew that he had been seen. He maintained his composure on the surface and explained, “A friend sent me some pictures, nothing special. Do you have a preference for what you want to eat? I’ll look for a restaurant we can go to later.”

“Whatever you like, it’s all good for me.” Xiao Yin said.

So Rong Yi found a music bar that Lin Yi had taken him to before, which had a good atmosphere.

It served Sichuan cuisine with some local modifications that both he and Xiao Yin could eat.

Rong Yi finished his breakfast, then went back to sleep for a nap and set his alarm for half an hour before their departure time.

When the alarm went off on time, Rong Yi first cautiously opened the door to see if Xiao Yin was ready.

To his surprise, Xiao Yin was already sitting in the living room, dressed neatly and looking at his phone.

Chi She and Hui Mao went to play a murder mystery game, and the living room was empty except for Xiao Yin waiting there alone.

He wore a dark green casual outfit with a design sense and a bit of a rebellious style, but he was meticulous. It was very matching and handsome.

He didn’t see Rong Yi peeking, but he heard the sound of the door opening.

Rong Yi received a message from Xiao Yin that he had just sent, “Are you awake? Are we leaving?”

Rong Yi shrank back and said, “Give me ten more minutes, I’ll change my clothes.”

Xiao Yin replied, “Okay.”

It was a date.

Rong Yi leaned against the closet and thought seriously for a moment.

Rong Yi also brought a set of clothes to change into. He likes white, sparkling white, bright like snow.

But there was a new green accessory in the middle of the snow-colored clothes.

It could be considered a couple’s outfit, although it’s not very obvious.

After Rong Yi finished packing, he said to Xiao Yin, “Let’s go.”

Xiao Yin was indeed waiting for him. He put away his phone, glanced at Rong Yi for a second, and then nodded.

Today’s weather was a bit hot and stuffy. They came out during the holiday rush hour, and got stuck in traffic from the first ring road to the third.

Rong Yi couldn’t drive, so Xiao Yin was the driver. Rong Yi sat in the front seat, listening to the navigation’s turn-by-turn directions and locating the crowds. The car was moving slowly, and the sun outside was shining brightly.

The air conditioning in the car was blowing cold air gently, and Rong Yi held his phone, feeling the silence inside the car.

Unlike previous times when there was a driver, this time it was just the two of them, and it felt a bit strange.

Although Xiao Yin said it was a date.

But the previous dates didn’t seem so awkward.

Previously, Rong Yi was the one who talked a lot, but now he has become more reserved, so there was nothing for either of them to say.

Rong Yi waited for a while, thought of a few topics, but before he could say anything, Lin Yi started chatting with him.

Lin Yi was obviously very bored and talked about some trivial matters.

“Ah, you guys have already gone out. Traffic jam, huh? It’s a gamble to go out at this time.”

“What did you guys do on your date? It’s been almost an hour since you left. Was it just traffic jam? Come on, give me some dog food, I can still bear it.”

“Easy, do you remember when you were in a relationship before? You sent me 400 messages in an hour.”

“Hey, do you think, he, he, he held my hand! Should I hold it back?”

Rong Yi’s ears turned red, and he retaliated against Lin Yi’s exposure of his embarrassing history: “Shut up, or I’ll block you.”

Lin Yi finally quieted down and started sending him gossip from various  esports forums.

Rong Yi chatted with him for a while, feeling that Xiao Yin was looking at him, so he restrained himself and put his phone back in his pocket.

It’s not good to go out with someone and keep looking at your phone.

“I just didn’t mentally prepare myself to speak up.”

Xiao Yin spoke first, “Is the air conditioning too cold?”

Rong Yi shook his head and said, “It’s okay, not too cold.”

They waited in the traffic jam for another twenty minutes.

Fortunately, their reservation time at the restaurant had not passed. When they arrived, Rong Yi first ordered a few signature dishes that she remembered were delicious, then handed the menu to Xiao Yin.

Xiao Yin didn’t add many dishes and handed the menu to the waiter.

The waiter asked, “Do you want to change to a couple’s private room? We have a promotion today where you can upgrade for free.”

Xiao Yin hadn’t spoken yet, and Rong Yi said a bit awkwardly, “No, it’s fine here.”

“Do the two of you want any alcoholic drinks?” The menu was handed over, and Rong Yi flipped through it.

This restaurant had mostly alcoholic drinks for their cold beverages.

Who drinks alcohol at noon?

Their music bar was semi-open-air, and Rong Yi saw a cold drink store outside. He refused the waiter and said to Xiao Yin, “I’ll go buy drinks from that store outside. What do you want to drink? I’ll buy it.”

Xiao Yin also stood up and said, “I’ll go with you.”

Rong Yi had no objection, and he and Xiao Yin left the restaurant lobby and started queuing up.

The weather was quite hot, and there were six or seven people in front of them, standing under a sunshade.

Rong Yi and Xiao Yin were behind a young couple.

The girl was half-acting cute and half-complaining to the boy, “Oh, it’s too hot. Don’t hold my hand.”

The boy petted the girl’s head and said something, but they didn’t hear it.

Xiao Yin looked down at Rong Yi’s hands.

Rong Yi was wearing all white today, very eye-catching and youthful, and pretty as a white rose.

When he had nothing to do, his hands hung down quietly, with pink fingertips, slender and delicate.

The restaurant staff was very efficient and quickly called their number.

Rong Yi held two large cups of watermelon ice and handed one to Xiao Yin. He bit the straw and drank while slipping back to the restaurant booth.

The dishes slowly arrived, and they had only exchanged three sentences.

“Is it spicy?”

“No, it’s not.”

“I’ll go get a bowl for the soup. Do you want one?”

“Sure.”

Rong Yi brought back two bowls and handed one to Xiao Yin. Suddenly, he said, “Have you been to any other places in B city that you like? I haven’t been to this place before.”

It was a good topic.

Rong Yi was about to search for “how to start a conversation,” but with Xiao Yin starting the topic, she naturally relaxed a lot.

He had just spoken a few words when suddenly there was a loud, explosive drum sound from the center of the hall, deafening and louder than everyone’s voices.

“What…”

Rong Yi turned his head and saw a fully equipped band on stage. The restaurant lights dimmed, and then neon lights with colorful effects appeared.

Rong Yi felt uneasy, “They’re not going to…perform now, are they?”

His questions were drowned out by the sea of music.

The lead singer of the band shouted, “Get hyped!” and then the deafening song echoed throughout the sky.

Rong Yi was speechless.

He began to wonder why he had chosen this place to invite Xiao Yin for dinner.

The music bar had a good atmosphere.

Hmm, the music was very good.

After finishing their meal, Rong Yi took Xiao Yin outside and only explained in a whisper when it finally became less noisy.

“Someone else brought me here last time, and they weren’t playing music. I didn’t expect them to suddenly start singing today.”

“Is it too loud?”

Xiao Yin said, “It’s okay.”

After finishing their meal, it was only two o’clock in the afternoon. Rong Yi looked at the bright sky and asked Xiao Yin’s opinion, “Should we go back or watch a movie or something?”

“Let’s watch a movie,” Xiao Yin said.

He had a calm temperament and had never had any special requirements for what to eat or play. In the past, if Rong Yi wanted to go somewhere, he would accompany him there.

Xiao Yin took out his phone, looked at the latest movies, and bought tickets.

Rong Yi also bought french fries, popcorn, and cola, and his hands were never empty along the way.

In the end, they watched a post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie.

These two days were the off-season for movies, and there weren’t many good films showing. This movie was very boringly made.

Rong Yi nearly fell asleep halfway through the movie. He pinched his thigh several times, trying not to fall asleep and stay awake throughout the entire movie.

He turned his head several times to look at Xiao Yin, but noticed that Xiao Yin was watching the movie attentively, staying awake, and his phoenix eyes shone brightly under the lights in the cinema.

Rong Yi felt that dating Xiao Yin now might not be a good idea.

The initial passion of their relationship had passed, and Rong Yi and Xiao Yin knew each other well. The current situation was a business alliance, and there was nothing to talk about on either side.

So, this date would become somewhat like ticking off a task on a checklist, filled with awkwardness.

When they left the cinema, it was finally around five or six o’clock, and the sky was gradually darkening, giving them a reason to go home.

Rong Yi then naturally suggested, “Let’s go back? It’s getting late.”

Xiao Yin said, “Hmm.”

Then they drove home.

The road was congested again.

Rong Yi felt that this date was a complete failure.

He opened his social media page and asked Lin Yi for advice.

“It seems like my date with Yin failed.”

“Failed? How can a date with Yin fail? Where did the old you go?” Lin Yi asked.

Rong Yi leaned against the car window and typed for a while, then secretly told him, “It was awkward, we didn’t have much to talk about. I think he might have found it boring.”

“Did you two talk during your previous dates?” Lin Yi was very curious.

Rong Yi thought for a while. “It seems like we didn’t talk much.”

Lin Yi was speechless. He had never seen anything like this before. Two human beings could actually date like this.

Rong Yi chatted with Lin Yi all the way, and Xiao Yin finally drove the car back to the club.

On their day off, the club was dark, with only the rooms of the Ci She and Hui Mao lit up, and the living room was pitch black.

Rong Yi waited for Xiao Yin to park the car and followed him to the entrance of the villa. Suddenly, he heard Xiao Yin ask, “Going out with me, was it boring?”

Rong Yi was about to enter the password for the door, but his fingertips paused and he felt a bit panicked.

Rong Yi quickly said, “No, it wasn’t boring. I invited you to dinner…thank you. It wasn’t boring.”

He entered the password, but before he could open the door, Xiao Yin lightly pressed his shoulder and turned him around.

The door was locked again, and Rong Yi leaned against the password door, forced to meet Xiao Yin’s gaze.

Those deep eyes were still the same.

“I want to pursue you.”
