A Darkening World And A Sleepy Protagonist Chapter 22 (Unedited)

“You really do love to push me don’t you Neal? Won’t stay away when told to multiple times, or even say my pasts name.” A bare finger traced along Neals neck, feeling the heart beating quickly underneath.

“I need to make sure you know to listen, this is different from how things used to be. I can’t have this if your going to be by my side out there, can’t have you accidentally getting hurt.” Gently holding Neals cheek Vidar stares down coldly at him. So close locks of dark blood coloured hair tickled Neals face.

Pinned down to the bed Neal wondered what the point of these cuffs even were with the strength Vidar had over him. It was unnerving not knowing what Vidar would do.

Maybe it wasn’t the smartest thing to do to push him, but Neal sure as hell wasn’t about to feel bad about saying his friends actual name. Neal wondered why it bothered him so much.

“Ow, the fuck” Distracted in thought Neal didn’t notice Vidar grab ahold of his hand and bite down gently on his finger before sucking with a grin.

“Don’t be getting distracted Neal…you need to be focused to learn.” A small blood drop remained on the finger he had released, gently putting his hand back down above Neals head.

This position wasn’t favourable to Neal at all and how god he wanted to smack this smily fuck for biting him.

“I recommend you relax, I’m not used to needing to stop to make sure you stay alive.” Cold breath fanned his face as Vidars face grew closer before moving to the left.

Neal stiffened as he felt a cold kiss to his neck, followed by the grazing of something sharp.

“You smell so good…” Vidar wondered how much more power his blood could provide to the mere skin contact.

Was this mother fucker gonna bite him or some shit? Eat him like a meal??Neal tried to wiggle out but remained rooted in place by Vidars weight.

“Ha I told you this is punishment, don’t be so in a rush before we even start it” a cold wet feeling traced along Neals neck making him shiver.

Without warning Vidar bites down into Neals neck with long white fangs.

The sharp pain surprises Neal even though he knew it was coming, wincing as a tingly feeling forms at the spot and spreads throughout his body. For a punishment the pain didn’t last long and was instead a strange forced calming. The feeling of your body, heavy before fully waking up.

The feeling buzzed throughout him, leading to heavy eyelids and weak limbs.

Vidar was absorbed with the magical essence growing with the consumption of the blood, far superior to simply touching when it came to refilling his energies.

The taste was it’s own treat, but he couldn’t focus on that if he wanted to stop so he didn’t push Neal to hard. Considering his state it was just the one last thing before he stopped feeding.

A rather fuzzy feeling came over Neals brain after an ice cold feeling shot through his veins and hit his heart.

A wet feeling on his neck brought his attention, though fuzzy, to reality. Looking to red lipped Vidars wide smile.

“Anything else to say Neal?” Vidar asked while continuing to smile.

Neal didn’t respond, speaking felt to difficult. How was it to speak again?

“That’s what I thought. Now come on” Vidar picked up Neal and carried him along with him.

It was hard to keep track of where they were going through all the hallways and turns.

Before he knew it he dozed off.

When he awoke again it was to the sound of screaming. Eyes sluggishly opening as he looked to see what was happening.

It was the throne room from before. Vidar standing at the bottom with a man. The man looked forty years of age and thicker then Vidar. The one standing above the other was Vidar.

Underneath his fist was the mans wrist whose hand was missing all its fingers. Blood soaked the ground around them, to much to just be the one mans alone.

“Ah please, I swear I have learned my lesson” The mans face was untouched compared to the rest of his body. The colour didn’t exactly look healthy in tone, but the chill in the air hinted to why that was.

Vidar smiles down at the man, sharp teeth gleaming in the light. He looked to enjoy the pain he was inflicting, unwavering in every action.

“You know how this works. Punishment ends when I decide it to.” He proceeded to reach down and grab the man by the neck, lifting him up into the air.

“But it doesn’t seem punishment works for you. Your still filthy and even after all fingers you still stepped past the line” Fear flashed in the mans eyes, his body wiggling as he struggled to get out of his grasp.

Vidar had no issues with this, simply bringing the mans face closer to his, before biting down harshly on his neck. The man cry’s out in pain and he just continues to suck from the mans neck.

Their was no stopping, it went on till the life drained from the mans eyes and he went slump. The entire time pain flashed through the man, his very life force ripped out of him.

The body landed with a thump on the floor and Vidar reaches to his face to wipe away the blood still on his lips. He didn’t look aware at all Neal was awake.

Now to learn the last step after punishment is death Neal wasn’t sure how smart it was for him to be pushing him at all. He would need to try to be careful to avoid him ducking him dry. He was far to moody for Neal to push the buttons to much.

Neal looks down to see he has been placed on the throne, a thick fur blanket wrapped around him like a burrito.

“Ah, your awake” Vidar looked over to see Neal moving around in the throne trying to unswaddle himself.

He walks over reaching Neal just as he gets the blanket off and placed on his lap. Reaching down he grabs a hold of a strand of Neals hair, playing with it.

“Why..did you kill him?” Neal asked him in a soft voice, trying to understand the new face of his friend.

Vidar let out a laugh, as if amuses by the question.

“He broke the rules to many times, I can’t have that happening here.” He gently pat Neals head in an loving manner.

“I’ll never go that far with you though, you don’t need to worry. I have a lot more special punishments planned for you, well not that you need to worry about them as long as your a good boy.” He lifts Neal up like a doll and places him on his lap once he sat on the throne.

He planned punishments out? Did he expect Neal to be bad or was it an empty threat to get him to behave?

“Marshall I thought you were my friend. Friends shouldn’t punish each other, especially for silly things like a name” Neal flat out stated to Vidar, unaware of his wrong name use do to having used the name for so long, Vidar didn’t feel right for Neal.

The grip around Neals waist tightened and Vidar gave a heavy sigh.

“You are really so stubborn Neal, just do what I tell you it isn’t hard” cold lips traced along the left side of Neals neck. The grip tightening more to keep him still as he began to wiggle.

“Why…” Neals eyes widen as he realized why Vidars mood changed. Why from just a single name. ” Oh come on you can’t expect me to listen to such a stupid rule, you haven’t even told me why you changed your name or don’t like your old one” Neal bitched, trying to wiggle still to get away. As bold as he has been sounding he really didn’t want to be put into that doll like state again, a dreamless sleep.

Vidar tensed up, his breath hitching as his grip loosened slightly but still firm enough to hold Neal in place.

“Stop wiggling…you need to learn” Vidars voice is low, almost distracted as he clears his throat. “You are rather ignorant of things so I’ll be nice this time but you need to listen when I say things the first time” Within a heartbeat his fangs were in Neals neck once again, but this time a heat flowed through his veins. A dizzying liquid heat, like fresh booze poured down the throat.

Neal relaxed into the warmth, not enjoying the pain that came with trying to move his neck at all.

Vidars hands traced along Neals arms, no longer needing to hold him in place. His own cheeks flush as he extracted his fangs from Neal and licked the wound.

A desire was rising in Vidar, and he wasn’t sure how to deal with it. Even now he wanted to place his lips on Neals own, but he had desired that for a long time.

Now however it felt stronger. The lavender scent overwhelming him, unable to get enough no matter how much he was around it.

“Wooosh” the sudden sound brought Vidars attention to Neal who had waved his hand in the air before gently karate chopping Vidars leg and giggling. “To hard”

Vidar stares amused at the drunken acts of Neal, intoxicated instantly with his alcohol like venom. To much and one dies from alcohol poisoning.

“Come on, let’s go play” Lifting Neal up with him as he stands Vidar heads back to the room.

Neal looked around, amazed at how giggly he felt. He just wanted to laugh at every little thing. Punishment…this didn’t seem like one at all.

He was gently placed down on the bed, not struggling as the cuffs were put on holding him stretched out on the bed. Neal would have protested but Vidars hair was fun to play with.

Neal couldn’t have predicted what Vidar was about to do.

“As quickly as I want to get to having a fun time with you, catching up on things, their is still the matter of punishment.” Vidar walked over to the corner of the room where a table now sat with a long metal rod on it.  On the end of the rod was a branding shape, seeming to infinitely be steaming with heat. As if the fire was inside it itself.

“Now is time for the punishment” he looked over to a wide eyed looking Neal on the bed as he just discovered what he meant. “You won’t forget what name to say anymore after this.”

He lifts the poker up in the air and turns to face Neal. The end shaped into Vidars name. “Especially since you will have it written on you forever”

This went to like maybe 30 to 100 real quick, like who….who brands someone for not saying the right name!

“Mar- Vidar…please, I’m your friend. Don’t do this…..” he pleaded, no longer recognizing this man as his friend if he was willing to go this far over some petty shit like this. Why is he so mad at him? Actually anger wasn’t the way to put it, with the smile on his face he was more looking foreword to it anyway.

“Yes, that’s why I am giving you such special treatment. I told you to leave me alone back then and you didn’t listen either. You never learn do you? But that’s okay,I can be patent for you as you were me.” He calming walked towards the bed where Neal struggled with his restraints. The cuff and chain unbudging from where it was placed.
