Killua was just lounging around the house again, it had been a few days since the new school year started. Shota was barely home anymore, and Killua was incredibly bored. He knew Shota would be coming home soon though, it was well after school hours had passed. Right as he thought that, the door opened. Killua craned his head backwards to look at Shota as he entered, taking note of his sour expression. “That hothead give you a headache again?” He teased, with a grin. Killua knew a bit about each of class 1-A, mostly due to him sneaking a peek at documents on Shota’s desk he probably shouldn’t have. However he did know quite a bit about their personalities, at least a few of them.

Shota walked in and sat down on the couch with a huff. “I wish.” Killua tilted his head slightly in curiosity, “Oh?” He gave Killua a disgruntled look. “The media broke through the front gates somehow. Took forever to get them off the property.” Killua blinked. “Isn’t there a security system?” Shota sighed. “Yeah, someone must’ve used a quirk to destroy the gate or something. This is why I hate the media, ” He grumbled. Killua frowned. That sounds concerning. “Isn’t that a criminal act? Like you could press charges for that couldn’t you?” Shota unraveled his scarf and set it on the low table beside the couch. “We could, if we caught who it was. But we didn’t.” There was a moment of uneasy silence as that sunk in.

“Anyways.”

Shota continued, glancing at him. “Could you run an errand for me tomorrow? It’s kind of important, but I’ll be busy with a class field trip.” Killua let out a yawn. “Hm? Oh sure, what is it?” Shota gave him a stern look. “I need you to bring a few bags for me to the site of the field trip. You can stay for a few minutes to watch but you are not to engage with my students. Do I make myself clear?” Killua rolled his eyes. “Yeah yeah, I get it.” Shota nodded. “Good.” Killua hummed. “So, what am I bringing?” Shota waved a hand. “Not much. Just some fake medical equipment. It’s a rescue simulation, but I want to keep that last part a secret so they can’t cheat.”

Fair, I guess. “Well, I’m gonna go out.” Killua declared, rising to his feet. “Where are you going?” Shota questioned, without missing a beat. Killua huffed. “You don’t have to act like my dad.” He grumbled, placing a hand on his hip. “But I’m just going out to pick something up. See ya old man!” Killua called over his shoulder, exiting the building. I can’t wait to have something at least similar to my yoyos back. He’d ordered a set of weighted yoyos online a few weeks ago, and they were supposed to be finished by today. Killua doubted they’d be as heavy as he wanted, but he’d ordered them to be as heavy as possible within the other requirements of his purchase. He’d saved up months of sweets money for this, they’d better be worth it.

~~~~~~~~~~~The next day~~~~~~~~~~~
Killua hoisted the bags filled with fake medical supplies over his shoulder. It was surprisingly light, considering its contents. Or maybe I’m just stronger than usual. He mused, taking off down the street in the direction of the USJ. According to Shota, it stood for ‘Unforeseen Simulation Joint’. There were various different kinds of terrain the students would have to practice rescuing people from. Killua wasn’t exactly sure where the medical equipment came in, but he’d probably figure it out soon enough. I wonder why he decided to let me watch though, I haven’t mentioned anything about U.A or heroes since I tried to take the exam.
Killua wasn’t exactly sure, but it was something interesting nonetheless. He picked up the pace as he headed to the site of the field trip, trying to make good time. The walk was quite peaceful really. Birds were singing, the sun was out, there was a nice breeze. All in all, Killua was in a good mood. As he was walking, he heard something in the distance. It almost sounded like faint footsteps from extremely far away. Killua paused, squinting down the path in the distance. Eh? He thought, trying to figure out what he was seeing.
Soon, he realized it was someone. A person, running down the path as fast as they were able. Killua continued walking, although slower. He wondered who this strange person was. It looks like they came from the U.S.J. As they got closer, he recognized them as a student from Shota’s class. Iida, was his name. However as the student zoomed past him at breakneck speed, Killua noticed something that made his blood run cold. The unmistakable look of gut wrenching terror plastered across his face. Whatever had Iida sprinting like his life depended on it couldn’t be good. The bags slipped from Killua’s grip, and he ran.
