Arthit’s POV
This man has always his creative ways to get on my nerves.
I raised my brow as high as I can and clenched my jaw. “How do you think buying a new one would have my number in it?”
“Ah that, ” he grinned from ear to ear. “Well, how about you start by giving me your number, then?”
He extended his hand towards me with his phone on it.
My mouth twisted into a humorless grin.
“Wow, just wow Kongpob.” I wasn’t sure if I should be amused or what.
“So?” he asked.
I shook my head then smirked sardonically.
I zipped my bag then headed towards the door.
“Oh come on, Arthit! ” walking backwards slowly beside me, he chased after me.
“Nope, ” then quickened my pace to leave him behind.
I heard my stomach growling.
I sauntered towards Knot who was at the corner of the court fiddling on his phone. “Let’s go and eat, ” I suggested.
We found ourselves in the school cafeteria.
Prem and Bright tagged along with some of our teammates.
“Is this captain’s treat?” asked Vin, one of our teammates.
Teet put his hand over Vin’s neck. “Definitely.”
The others shook their head up and down in agreement.
“Why would I treat you?”
“To celebrate,” Prem.
“For losing,” added Bright.
My so-called friends just added insult to my injury.
What a lucky person I am having all these people as my so-called friends?
“Okay, okay.” I raised my hand. “Feel free to order and pay for yourself.” I gave them a gummy smile.
Then I headed first to the counter.
I heard them ranted simultaneously while they stomped towards my way.
“Knot, knock knock.” Bright cheerfully said.
Here he is again, with his relentless antics.
We were now seated and starting to dig in on our meal.
Knot just went on eating, paying no heed to him.
“Knot!!!” Bright yelled.
It made me smirk.
“Can you not be more troublesome than this?”
“‘Who’s there’ that’s how you’re supposed to answer it.” he demanded.
“Who’s there?” giving in. He knew he won’t stop unless he’s being paid attention to.
“Atch,”
We all creased our brow.
“You better be funny or we’ll all flick you on your forehead.” I warned him with a smirk.
“Atch who?” Knot said.
“Bless you,”
I stood up and flick his forehead.
Others followed suit.
“I was funny, right?” touching his forehead. There was a visible red mark on his forehead.
“Hands off,” Prem demanded. “I’m not done yet,”
He did as he was told.Â
Prem flicked him hard.
“Man, that was awful.” he grimaced. “Are you holding a grudge against me?”
“He he.” Prem mocked him then got on with eating his meal.Â
Prem went back to his seat with a satisfied grin.
Bright refusing to give up. “Knock. Knock.” he directed it at me this time.
“You want more huh,” I laughed. “Who’s there?”
“Peas, “
“Peas, who?”
“Peas pass me the condiments,” he was grinning from ear to ear.
I shook my head and reached out for the condiments.
We continued to banter Bright with his corny jokes as we went on eating.
When I was done, my gaze unconsciously shifted to the entrance door right when Kongpob was entering.
He stopped in one corner and swept his gaze around the place.
I saw M whispered something to Kong then headed towards the counter.
Kong was left, his gaze still sweeping a glance at the entire place.
“If you are not done yet, I’ll go ahead first.” I heard Knot said.
I turned my gaze at him. “You, in a hurry? I asked.
“I need to drop by somewhere before going home.” said Knot, looking at his wristwatch.
“I’m coming with you, ” Bright stood up,
“Going somewhere too?” Prem asked.
“No, I’m going to chase my dream. She just got out of here.” he answered naughtily, looking at a cute girls strolling outside.
I shook my head. “You surely have a lot of dreams to chase, Bright.” I taunted him.
My eye unconsciously searched for Kong.
“It’s better to have more than going after someone who’s taken, isn’t it?” he showed me a gummy smile. “Arthit?” he raised his brow up and down when I turned my attention at him again.
I threw him a rolled tissue. “Shut up!” while laughing.
This friend of mine just doesn’t know when to shut up.
“Let’s all head out then, ” Knot stood up.
My phone vibrated, I slipped it out of my pocket.
One by one, they all stood up and followed Knot.
I went after them while fiddling on my phone.
“Hey Kong, having a break?”
I looked up.Â
I saw Knot tapped Kong’s shoulder.
“Nope.”
I diverted my stare back to my phone at once.
I pretended to be doing something on my phone but I was all ears.
“Looking for someone” I heard him say.
“See? Even Kong is chasing for his dream.”
Kong creased his brow. He seemed clueless of what Bright was talking about.
They all give him a sly smile.
“Don’t mind that idiot.” Knot again. “Good luck, it’s a jungle in here.” Knot walked past him.
“A jungle where you might find the love of your life.” Prem teased.
I heard Kong chuckled. “I think, I found it already.” he joked maliciously.
Since, I was busy pretending to be busy.
I was curious when there was a sudden dead air after.
I decided to look up to them. “The search is over, ” he said just in time when my eyes landed at him.
Kong was staring at me, a shrewd smile was on his lips.
“What?” I asked
I felt awkward. “Come on,” I told them, “let’s go, “
They all shook their head with a knowing smile on their lips.
I saw Vin, Teet, Bright and Prem tapped his shoulder to bid him goodbye as they all walked past him.
He gave them a tight-lipped grin as an acknowledgement then side-stepped to let them pass through since the walkway was narrow.
I was the last one so I didn’t know if I should tap him too.
Heck.
Tap my ass.
I forced my lips to perk up and nodded slightly at him.
Since the space wasn’t enough brushing each other’s shoulders was inevitable.
When were paralleled to each other.
I felt his hand touched mine and put something in it swiftly.
It felt like a paper.
He then sauntered past me, leaving me behind.
He gave me no chance to react.
I looked at it, it was neatly folded but crinkled.
Dinner with me? When you’re free.

Note: I hope you write my name as Mine on your contacts as I am Yours. 😉
I was about to haunt him about it but he was quick to get away.
I looked at the paper again.
This handwriting.
It reminds me of something.
Note.
A piece of paper.
The handwriting.
These are all familiar.
