Arthit’s POV

“What the fuck, Kong? I almost had a heart attack.” I yelled.

“You going home?” he asked calmly, ignoring how perturbed I was.

I felt my heart rate doubled. “Yes, so if you please, let me go peacefully.” I glared at him.

He sauntered towards me and grabbed my bag.

“Hey, what are you doing?” raising my brow, I asked. “Give me my bag,” he was quick to take it out of my reach.

“I’ve thought of going home with you,” his tone sounded more like a statement than asking.

“What’s wrong with you?”

“We live in the same building,”

“So?”

“It make sense if we go home together,”

“Well, it doesn’t to me.” still following his lead. “Now, if you please.”

He did not respond and continued to walk briskly.

“Kongpob, Give me my bag, the others are waiting for me.” I muttered between my teeth.

“Is that guy waiting for you too? “

“Who? ” I wrinkled my brow.

I almost bumped into him when he suddenly stopped and looked at me intently. His eyes were trying to convey things I couldn’t put into words.

I couldn’t hold his gaze for long without my dream flashing in my mind. .

It makes me feel uneasy.

He ignored me. I need to get away from him, I reminded myself. “Okay, take my bag. Be sure to drop that at my place.” I tested him. He might give up and give it to me instead. Then I walked back.

When I couldn’t sense any movement from behind,  I looked back at him.

He was walking away. It made me really furious.

“Kongpob! ” I growled, he did not even budge.

I’ve gathered all my restraint in the body to stop myself from wringing his neck.

He led me to the parking lot and took a key from his pocket — a white sport sedan lit up.”Go in,” he said softly.

I strode towards the car. Not bad.

“This is yours?” I asked suspiciously.

“No, I stole it.” he said casually.

“Then I don’t want to be your partner in crime.” I acted to walk away.

“Arthit, do I look like I steal cars?” he looked irritated and I am having a good time seeing him like that.

“Yes,” I answered avoiding his gaze.

He sighed deeply said. “Let’s go.”

I thought for a while but helplessly gave in eventually.

I stomped my feet as I went in. “Hello, Knot. Don’t wait for me.” I contacted Knot immediately.

“He did?” I looked at Kong who was backing up the car.

“Okay, ” I hung up.

I sighed and squinted my eyes when I turned my gaze at him. “Have you ever thought that maybe I have somewhere else to go after practice?” I asked, trying my very best to hold back.

“Do you have somewhere else to go after practice?” he asked nonchalantly, his attention was still on the steering wheel.

“None,”

“It’s nonsense to ask then.”

I felt like all my blood went up to my head and I am very annoyed right now but I opted to keep quiet.

“Are you mad?” he asked.

Seriously?

“Mad? If being mad describes as wanting to choke you to death right now. Well, I guess I am. ” I said sarcastically. I gave him a fake smile.

“I didn’t know you have that psycho tendency in you. “

“Yes, so I am warning you!”

He paid no heed to it.

“Why were you mad at me this morning?” after a long silence.

I remember how I lashed out at him this morning.

“I am not,” I kept my answer short because I can still vividly remember everything in my dream.

“You sounded like one,”

“I am not,” I snickered. “Stop asking me,  will you? ” It just reminds me of my dream and him being in it.

I felt like my face reddens.

“Okay,” he pulled over the street. “Wait here,”

“As if, I have a choice.”

“I’ll be quick.” he said and hurriedly went out.

This man is really unbelievable.

I am so tired emotionally and physically that when I closed my eyes I drifted off.

I woke up when my head banged on the window.

I winced and touched my head.

Where am I?

When I turned, I saw Kong in the drivers seat tapping on his laptop.

“Why didn’t you wake me up?” crumpling my eyes, I asked.

“You seemed tired.” he closed his laptop and turned to me with a smile. “Here,” he handed me a plastic with a lot of snacks in it. “You must be hungry.”

“No need, “

“Take it, I bought it for you.”

“Whatever,” I took out a bottle of juice inside it. “Where are we?” I asked after drinking.

“Parking lot,” he answered.

“How long have I been sleeping?”

“30 to 40?”

“Minutes? You should have woken me up.”

“No worries,”

“What were you doing?” I unconsciously asked.

“My report,”

“You-” he should have woken me up if he had things to do.

Kong might be really good at getting on my nerves but I acknowledge that when he’s being nice, he can be unbelievably nice.

“I don’t have the heart to wake you up, ” he cut me off. “You were up early and you seemed not a morning person.”

I was speechless at how observant he was. We haven’t known each other for long but it was as if he can already read me.

I was moved at his thoughtfulness but I won’t let him know that.

I smirked. “Kong, you don’t have a heart in the first place.” I said.

“I agree,” he said.

I smirk proudly.

“because it isn’t mine anymore. It’s absolutely yours,” he added.

The smirk on my face faded.

There’s no use arguing with him so I put the bag of snacks on the dashboard and opened the door to leave but he was quick to stop me while laughing.

“Okay okay, I’ll stop. ” he said, raising his hand.

I squinted my eyes and sighed deeply to calm myself. “Kong, why do you always make fun of me?” I asked.

“I will never make fun of you.” he replied.

“Then what are you doing? ” I raised my brows.

“Who was that guy earlier?”

My brow creased. Guy? Aat? “You mean the one at the gym?”

He nodded.

“That’s Aat,”

“Your friend?”

“Sort of, he’s new to the team like you.” I answered. “Aren’t we all friends in the team?”

“I don’t want to be your friend though,”

“Trust me, the feeling is mutual, ” I smirked.

As if I am dying to be his friend, I thought.

“Don’t get me wrong, ” he closed his laptop.

“Let’s not talk, about that. “

I opened the car door and walked out.

He silently followed me.

We strode together towards the elevator and when he reached his  floor, he bid his goodbye and walked out quickly.

What’s wrong with him?

When I reached my floor, I suddenly remembered something.

My bag.

Shit.

My keys are there.

I don’t have any choice but to head down to Kongpob’s place.

I sighed deeply before knocking.

“It’s open,” I heard him answer.

He had the smile on his lips when I saw him in his sofa facing the door. He was as if he was waiting for me. “To whom do I owe this honor?”

Judging by how his lips perked up, he knew I was coming.

I smiled humorlessly. “Where’s my bag?”

“Stay,” he stated.

I raised my brows. “Where is my bag? ” I repeated.

“Eat your dinner here before you go. ” he stood up and headed to his kitchen.

His tone was more like an order instead of asking. It was pretty annoying.

I stopped and looked at him. “My bag, now. “

“Not until you’re done eating. ” he insisted.

A sound from his microwave took his attention from me.

He walked up to it and took out the food he heated.

The smell was so enticing that it was making me change my mind.

We should never say no to food, right? I’ve thought.
