Absolutely Yours 32

After reading your comments last night, all these scenarios flashed in my mind before I knew it I already have three drafts and I am posting one today. Thank you and enjoy.

Arthit’s POV

Chon?

Was she the same Chon, M mentioned last night?

The future he wanted?

The one he said was nothing?

Yet,  his smile is telling me differently.

If she’s really nothing,  why do you smile like that?

I was on my feet before I knew it.

“Kong! I missed you. ” she hugged him even tighter.

I furrowed my brow.

“Cho-chon, what are you doing here? ” he asked.

She broke the hugged and darted his gaze at us. She shyly distance himself from Kong.

“Sorry, “

“It’s fine,  why Kong always get the pretty girls? ” Bright said, shoving me away. “Are you Kongpob’s girlfriend? “

She just smiled at Bright, she wasn’t confirming nor denying it.

I didn’t want to look at Kong because I felt like I am going to erupt with anger anytime.

I know I don’t have the right but he told me she was nothing.

And.

And he said..

He’s mine.

“You’re pretty, our Kongpob here must have treated you well. ” I kept my eyes fixed at her.

“Yes, Kongpob’s always nice to me, ” she answered.

“Really? ” I raised my brow and finally  turned to Kong. “I didn’t know that. ” I glowered at him.

I heard the others laughed.

Unaware of the tension in the air.

“Is he chasing after someone here? ” she asked. I almost choked.

“None that I know of. Don’t worry, we will be your eyes. We make sure he behaves well. ” Vin said.

She smiled. “I’m Chon, I believe you are his teammates? ” she referred to everyone. 

“Yes,  ma’am. ” they all said in sync.

“Arthit,  come here for a minute. ” coach yelled.

I walked towards him without giving anybody a glance.

I was with coach but my mind was with Kong and that woman.

She is pretty.

No wonder,  Kong likes him.

It somewhat felt like my heart was being torn.

Do you really like me Kong?

“Did you understand? ” coach asked.

“Ha? “

“Something’s wrong? “

“You are so out of it. ” he noticed.

“Just beat, coach.” I lied.

“Okay,  let’s just continue this tomorrow. ” he said.

“Sorry coach, ” I apologetically said.

He smiled, “It’s okay, “

My phone vibrated. “Where are you? “

It was Prem, “why? “

“Lets hang out at my place, “

I don’t feel like going home so I agreed. “Okay, where are you? ” I remembered something, “Who’s with us? “

“You, Knot and me. “ Where’s Kong? “Vin and Teet went home together with Ton and M. Bright said he has a date and Kong will drop Chon at her hotel. “

Hotel?

I gritted my teeth. “Okay, text me your location. “

I dropped the call and waited for Prem’s message.

Parking lot.

I don’t want to go home yet. Only silence will accompany me there and my restless mind will wander somewhere I wouldn’t want to.

For now, I just want to be surrounded with people. I want to be busy.

I headed to the parking lot immediately.

We dropped by a drive thru before heading to his place.

I just finished eating them when I heard Prem and Knot cursing at each other. They were playing video games,   so I ate my share of takeout.

“Aren’t you over yet? Let me play too. ” I told them.

“Tell Knot to give up already since he is already a loser. ” Prem mocked the other.

“Loser?  I have more strength than you. ” pointing to the level of their strength on the monitor.

“Prem,  just kill him already. ” it sounded wrong but I was referring to the game.

“Roger that, ” he saluted.

I tried to snatch the controller at Knot’s hand. “Arthit,  you ass-! If I die,  I wont let you get away with it. “

I laughed. “Hurry up,  Prem. “

I got bored waiting for them to finish one set of the game so I sat on a couch nearby and scrolled my phone.

I remember I got messages last night.

When I opened it, all of them were from Kong.

How come I miss you already? Where are you? – Kong

Was this the time when I was in the tent?

I tried my best not to steal glances but you make it kinda hard not to stare -Kong

And you make it difficult not to smile at this Kong, I thought.

Thank you for reminding me what it feels like to have butterflies in my stomach. – Kong

Cheesy,  so you think I will fall in these tricks? I couldn’t keep my lips from smiling. So, he indeed noticed me at that time. I scrolled the next message.

You look crazy dancing like that but you’re my kind of crazy. – Kong.

My smile was even wider.

Then the last one was, I am willing to wait till you’re ready, I love you. – Kong

I felt like a teardrop traced down my cheek.

I can’t believe how his words could make me feel this elated.

This was the text he sent when he was asked about who he was texting.

It seemed like my heart was going to burst any time soon with so much happiness.

I quickly dialled Kong’s number.

I suddenly wanted to see him.

A voice prompt answered me instead.

I got up and headed towards the Knot and Prem.

“Do you know which hotel Chon checked in? ” I asked the two.

“Nope, why? “

“Nothing, I need to go .” I picked my things up.

“What? You haven’t played yet. ” Prem complained.

“You’ll lose anyway, ” I told them then chuckled.

“You wish, ” they both chuckled.

I felt lighthearted.

I dialled Kong’s number one more time but a voice prompt answered again.

Where are you? – Arthit

I sent him a message.

I decided to go to his place since I wasn’t getting any response.

He might be there.

I didn’t know what to tell him but I just feel the need to see him.

I strode my way to his flat and rang the doorbell.

I pressed it multiple times but no one was answering.

Where is he?

Is he still with that woman?

I decided to wait for him and sat by the door.

I can’t wait for tomorrow to see him anymore. I just feel the need to see him tonight.

What would I tell him?

I don’t know. I want to see him.

While waiting, I scrolled down his messages again.

The effect of it on me was still the same.

Then a realization that I’ve been trying to deny dawned on me.

I like Kongpob.

I finally admitted to myself.

I never thought I would but I do.

My heart feels like it’s going to burst with so much feelings for him.

I didn’t know I needed someone until he insistedly stayed by my side.

I didn’t know I was empty until he filled the void I wasn’t aware of to begin with.

I didn’t know I needed love until he showed me how it feels like to be loved.

Yes,  I like him.

Something inside me was lifted,  I felt lighter.

I have now the answer to my own question and I can’t wait to tell him that.

I didn’t notice I drifted off until I hit my head on the wall.

The impact was strong that it woke me up.

I looked at my watch.

12 am.

Where’s Kong?

Did he stay with Chon in the hotel?

Just the thought of it was killing me.

If he’s mine like he told me he was, he should not let anybody come near him.

I stood up and decided to go to my flat.

My mind was still filled with thoughts of Kong and Chon together in a hotel room.

Shit.

I shouldn’t have let him.

You don’t have the right to tell him where to go and not to go,  Arthit. I scolded myself.

I got on the elevator,  massaging my stiffed neck with a heavy heart.

It was past midnight already, I dragged myself out of the elevator lazily.

I’ll go look for him tomorrow.

I refrained myself from thinking anymore. I was just tired in all sense of the word.

I was nearing my apartment when I saw someone sitting while leaning on my door.

“Kong? “

My heart skipped a beat upon seeing him.
