Izuku shoved his bright red rain boots on, and he tightened His leg braces a bit as he hopped up, looking around for his backpack and rain jacket. The weather has been a little bit more chilly recently; it had been raining for two days straight, today the green-haired boy had full excitement in his heart. Izuku and Katsuki were going to go play out in the rain, there were many puddles like a Splash in, and they were also planning on making mud balls.
He had invited his brother Hitoshi to come and play with him, but his brother didn’t really like the blonde-haired boy that would come around every weekend to come to play; he said that he wasn’t a true friend because he didn’t stand up for him at school, but how could he? He was in a completely different class; they didn’t even have recess at the same time; the only time they interrupted that year was on the weekends.
“izuku now remember,” hizashi says as he takes his son by the arms and bends down. “The park is right down the block; you don’t go anywhere besides that and back home, you never follow a stranger, even if they say there are one of our friends, it’s probably a villain wanting to eat you,” The blonde-haired male says wanting to scare the boy away from being taken by a stranger. Izuku nodded his head as he looks at the male.
“stranger danger !” He repeats, looking over to see his cat trotting across the living room and up to the green-haired boy rubbing her cheek against his leg; he smiled and scratched behind peanuts ear a little bit before he nodded his head, and he ran out the door, closing it behind him, he saw the boy waiting for him outside of his house, already drenched in the rain.
Katsuki smirks, “hurry, let’s go before all of the rain stops; there are the biggest puddles I’ve ever seen!” He says he looks at him in. The green-haired boy nodded, following him happily; they spent the day playing in the rain and hopping in puddles even though Izuku couldn’t really hop.
This had not been left without any consequences though, it turned out playing out in the rain, and the cold was not a good idea because when he had gotten home, he had not dried off, and he had ended up with a cold
He sniffled quietly as he blew his nose into a tissue; his cat jumped up onto the bed and nestled into him, he smiled slightly, and he pets her, but he was interrupted by another sneeze. He always hated being sick, not that he minded his fathers babying him, but he likes being able to play, and he didn’t like only having to eat soup.
He loved his fathers to death, but in all honesty, he couldn’t stand there cooking. Hizashi was the one who would cook, but he was not the best, though he was better than his husband.
When shouta attempted to cook, it just ended in complete disaster. He had said the kitchen was on fire one time, and from then on, he was banned from making anything but coffee, which he practically lived on, well coffee and those squeezable applesauce things he liked.
The boy sighed as he saw his brother walk in with a couple of All might manga he had gotten at the store with his dad. He had done it as a gift for the boy and a ‘get well soon gift. He smiled as he opened one of the books, and he looked at the art of his favorite superhero. He had always looked up to the blonde-haired man, even when he heard the story of how he signed him. He still had that shirt that had his signature, and he cherished it; even though he was young, he knew what it was like to look Up to somebody so much that he wanted to do anything to get their attention and to be praised by them, and lucky for him the other here I’ve been working in America, so he didn’t see him much. He never got to meet him at UA.
“How are you feeling, Green bean? Do you want more soup? You barely ate yours, and it looks like your fever went up,” he says; he pressed his hand against the boy’s forehead, the green-haired boy only smiled, and he shook his head, he would tell them he felt better even though he didn’t, his fever had gone up. He could barely taste anything, but he didn’t want to have to go to recovery girl, yes sometimes; his parents would swing by the school and drop him off if he got hurt, they didn’t have the time to wait in the waiting room at a hospital, so if you ever needed to get a shot or if he broke something he would go to her.
“I’m okay, papa. I swear, it’s too hot,” he says; he felt a wet rag that popped onto his forehead. It was soaking wet, and he looked over at his brother who had done it, he had been sleeping in his parent’s bed since there were two beds in his and his brother’s room, and he couldn’t get his brother sick.
“I know, but you need to sweat up the fever, that’s what recovery girl said when we talk to her on the phone; I have some medicine here that you need to take it, baby, “The blonde-haired man says as he poured some liquid into a small measuring cup, you know the type where you would take drinkable medicine, even though it was just the cap of the bottle. The green-haired boy nodded, and he took it, gulping it down, and he scrunched up his nose at the awful taste.
Izuku had never really been one to complain. Of course, he had many things he could complain about, he could complain about how his mother didn’t want him, he could complain about how he would never be expected, he could complain about how he was sick at the moment, but he didn’t. He likes to look at the bright things in life and not the things that would make them sad. Maybe some people would call it ignorant bliss, but he liked looking at things the glass half full.
He was tucked into bed with his nightlight plugged into the wall and left in the room, door closing and making him be all alone, and he sat there looking at the ceiling, his cat cuddled into him.
He didn’t know how long it was, but soon he heard the door open once again and the weight on the bed shift. He opened his eyes, glancing over to see his dad with a book in his hands.
“hi, daddy….” He says, sniffling a little bit as he coughed into his arm.
“so you got sick, do you know everybodY has sick days, even me and your papa, so it’s okay you don’t have to pretend to be fine, you can let us spoil you a little bit,” He says he looks at the boy, the green-haired boy grand a little bit and he shifted over so his head was on his father’s shoulder cuddling into him and he hummed.
“well, if you’re gonna let me make you spoil me, I want cuddles and ice cream and to go see the new AllMight movie tomorrow, “he says, listing some things off that he could do now because they said they would spoil him.
“how about we see how you feel tomorrow? If you feel better, we can go, and if you don’t, we can go another day; we don’t really like those movies, and we would probably rather go see something else, but we can go if you want,” he says, and izuku smiled nodding his head.
“Okay!”
