My head felt clogged and my ears ached as I woke up in a position I was ending up in far too often.
Why do I always wake up cuddled into Alpha Lukas’ chest? It’s unnerving to be honest.
I quickly pushed myself off Lukas causing pain to shoot throughout my whole back. My vision blurred white for a moment and a pathetic whimper came out of my mouth.
I bit down on my lip hard at the realization and wanted nothing more than to die. Lukas just heard me fucking whimper like a kicked puppy. My vision was slowing returning and the pain burned through my body.
I knew Lukas’ hands were on my body from the tingles that were cursing my body. I tried to pull myself together as fast I could because I look pathetic in front of this Alpha. This is the last person I need to look weak in front of.
Blood filled my mouth and it left a metallic taste on my tongue as I strained myself not to make another sound. Warm hands wrapped around me, slowing guiding me back down onto his chest.
I struggled against the motion which only caused more pain.
“Sweetie, you need to calm down. Please stop biting your lip you’re bleeding, it’s okay to admit you’re in pain. Just let me hold you so I can help.” Lukas said in a soft voice.
“N-No, let me go.” I clenched my teeth and blocked the water from coming out of my eyes. Only bitches cry. “Can’t you fucking see I am trying to get away from you?”
“Grayson I have been putting up with your foul language but I am tired of hearing it. Ask me with respect then you can get what you want. Demanding and swearing at me isn’t going to get you far.”
“Fuck you.” A growl broke out across the—wait where am I? I looked around the plane?
“Why the hell am I on a plane?” I seethed as struggled against Lukas’ tight grip on me. I know this motherfucker didn’t just kidnap me to get his way. “You keep trying to make yourself sound like such a good guy then you go kidnap me?”
“It’s not kidnapping if I had permission to take you. Now watch your mouth and quit moving.” Lukas’ voice was strained as his patience ran thin.
“Let go of me.” I fought back.
“Ask nicely.”
“No.” I’m not giving this bitch an ounce of my respect. What has he done to earn it? Come into my house uninvited, show up to my work, break into my hotel room, kidnap me and put me on a plane? He doesn’t deserve my respect.
“Then no.” He sighed and kept his grip.
Anger filled me as he kept denying my simple request and my body felt as if it were on fire. Either route I take, he wins. I ask him nicely, he gets what he wants. I stay put, he gets what he wants. I can’t fucking win.
My back screamed at me to stop moving and my pain tolerance was reaching its peak before I broke and Goddess forbid I break. My head was feeling heavier the longer I sat up and the pain was throbbing.
I look around the plane once again and met eyes with a man across the plane. He was reclined in a seat with his feet kicked up on the table in front of him. His red hair stuck up in every direction as he sent me a wide smile before averting his gaze to the book he held in his hands.
Diagonal of him was a girl with shiny blond hair. I could only see the back of her head and her fingers typing gracefully along the keyboard of her laptop.
Embarrassment fills my cheeks and ears as I realize now two more powerful people saw me in a state of weakness. Fuck me.
Look back at Lukas to see him studying my face, his expression blank.
“Why don’t we save you from causing yourself more pain and embarrassment and lie down? I don’t think your ears can handle getting any more red.” Lukas whispered so only I could hear as a smirk filled his stupid face. His hand made his way to my ear, his icy fingers cooling the burning skin. I glared in response and contemplated my choices.
An idea struck me, “I’ll lie down if you let me go.”
He frowned at the proposal and thought about it. “If I’m not touching you, you won’t heal. Also, my touch won’t have numbing effects on you so you will feel a lot more pain than you do right now. Do you really want that?”
“I’ll feel better when you’re not touching me.” I counterattacked and Lukas sighed.
“Fine but you have to lay in the seat right next to me and don’t push yourself to the point of unbearable pain just because you’re trying to protect your little teenager ego. If the pain becomes to much for you, just get up and come back to me. My arms are always open.”
I grinned as a shot up out of his seat and into my own. I bit down hard on my lip to suppress a groan but it was all worth it. Lukas gave me a questioning look as I sat down but I ignored him. I’d rather take any amount of pain than willingly lay on him. I figured out how to make the seat recline all the way down almost like a bed like Lukas’ chair had been and laid on my stomach to avoid my back.
I was still wearing Lukas’ sweater and my joggers and not going to lie, I was hella comfortable.
The comfort lasted approximately 2 minutes before stinging pain filled my body worse than ever and my head pounded like it was about to explode. A shiver racked through my body as chills suddenly come over me. I once again attacked my lips with my teeth to remain silent.
I heard Lukas sigh as a few shuffling sounds came from beside me. I opened my eyes to see him getting up and walking across the plane and returning with an object in his hands. I shut my eyes again before he returned and was surprised when a warm blanket was placed on me.
“My stubborn little baby.” Lukas mumbled almost silently as he sat back down in his chair that was now in a normal sitting position.
I peaked one eye open to see Lukas focusing on his phone and I silently gripped the blanket around me tighter.
The buzz of the plane acted as a sort of lullaby and my head wanted nothing more than to sleep yet the progressive pain in my back kept me conscious.
“Do you have my phone?” I mumbled, catching Lukas’ attention immediately. He hummed a “yes” and dug into the bag laying at his feet. He placed the device into my outstretched hand and I brought it up to my face to unlock it, shooting pain through my shoulder caused by the movement and causing discomfort in my eyes from the light if the phone in the dark plane. All the windows were shut when I woke up and it was nice on my head.
I lowered my brightness and sent a text to Keagan and was faced by an unpleasant realization when it turned green.
Grayson
bro i was kidnapped
not deliveredâ•ï¸
I scowled at the error due to being thousands of feet in the sky and my mood dropped further. I can’t even text my best fucking friend. I swiped out of the messages and stared at my options, all requiring adequate data or wi-fi.
I turned my phone off and pouted to myself and closed my eyes once again. My body and mind were over-exhausted yet sleep was foreign to me. Why could I sleep just fine snuggled into Lukas yet when I’m finally free, I’m stuck awake and in pain?
In the back of my mind I knew the logical answer but it was promptly ignored and was replaced with the theory that the universe just hates me.
“Grayson you’re tired and restless, come here.” Lukas’ voice made me squint my eyes open.
“No I’m not, I feel great.” I mumbled and shut my eyes again, ignoring him.
He snorted in response and I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at him again. Is he mocking me? “Tell that to your face, Sweetheart. Pain is written all over it and you’re eyes are drooping, you’re tired and hurt and it’s plain to see. I can help so come here.”
“Well you’re seeing wrong ’cause I feel great.”
“We still have 4 more hours of this flight so if you want to sit there, fine by me. Have fun.” Lukas snipped and I groaned. 4 hours of this? Why does the Goddess hate me?
The pride in me took over and I shut my eyes to prove I could just sleep the rest of this flight off by myself. The second passed like minutes and the minutes like hours. The increasing pain hadn’t peaked yet and continued to grow steadily, seeming to never have an end point.
I checked my phone slyly for the time and was horrified to see that only 8 minutes had passed. My lip was a bloody mess from getting nibbled at so much as a form of pain management and I was starting to hate the taste.
My ego was still holding strong as I laid in the now uncomfortable seat but was soon shattered as unexpected turbulence hit the plane, causing my whole body to burst into fire hot pain from getting jolted around. My mouth opened in a silent scream as water built up behind my eyes that were clenched shut.
I took a moment to recompose myself before violently wiping at my eyes to remove the evidence of weakness and pretended nothing happened. Everything burned x10 now and I was on the verge of throwing up from the pain.
I opened my eyes after a minute to see Lukas staring intently at me, silently asking me if I was okay.
“Alpha, are you okay? Dude that turbulence was bonkers and you don’t look so good.” An unknown voice calls across the plane that I track to the red-headed man from earlier. Bonkers?
“He’s asking you.” Lukas whispered. What? Me? Alpha?
“I-I’m good.” I stuttered and I bit my lip.
“Liar. Sit up.” Lukas demanded and I blinked in response. Who does he think he is?
“No.” I snorted.
“Get up.” Dominance and power laced his voice making me comply. I slowly sat up making my body argue with me and glared at Lukas for using that voice with me.
“Come here and lay down.”
Anger seethed out of me as my body did the actions my mind screamed not to do. I avoided Lukas’ eyes out of embarrassment and clenched my teeth. My body moved to lay against Lukas’, my legs straddling his and my arms wrapped around his neck. He reclined the seat so I was laying flat against him once again. I dug my face into his neck to hide it and I clenched my eyes shut.
“I’m sorry for using that voice on you, Grayson.” He sighed and I didn’t respond. I couldn’t get myself to speak words. “I can’t just sit here and watch you torture yourself to protect your ego. I care too much about you to let you do that. You can hate me for now but don’t you feel better?”
The burning pain that was present just moments ago had reduced to an uncomfortable buzz throughout my body. I felt drastically better but I didn’t want Lukas to have the satisfaction knowing that so once again I kept silent.
“Okay, I understand why you’re playing the silent game. Why don’t you sleep now? Maybe when you wake up, we’ll be home.” He murmured in my ear and ran a hand through my hair.
The feeling was nice and I yearned for more yet no more came. I peaked an eye open to see Lukas’ fixated on his phone now and I frowned. If I have to lay here he might as well be useful.
“Keep playing with my hair.” I grumbled and Lukas smiled.
“Of course, Sweetie.”
The hand returned and I shut my eyes again, drifting quickly into sleep.
Just as I was about to reach it, the hand tugged my hair causing a purr to escape my lips. My face and ears lit red with embarrassment and Lukas chuckled.
“Maybe I should call you kitten instead.” He snickered and I snapped back, “Do it and I’ll bite you.”
“Feisty kitten.”
I promptly bit down on his neck and he jolted.
“Ow, you didn’t have to bite that hard.” He frowned. “Save that for when you mark me.” He smirked.
“Not happening. You’re annoying.” I grumbled.
“I know.”
