Alastair wandered through the bustling streets of Meteora. Though it was already 3 AM, the city was still alive with activity, neon lights flickering like restless spirits. The hum of night creatures filled the air as he made his way to the underground fight club. With a quiet spell, he shifted into the form of an old nobleman, his disguise complete as he strode toward the elevator. The stench of unwashed bodies passed by—Lycans, their musky odor overwhelming.

“This spell is disgusting,” he thought, gagging slightly at the hair strand of the old man he had swallowed for the transformation. “Why can’t I use this spell without this?”

As he descended in the elevator, a wave of familiar energy washed over him, but this time it felt euphoric, almost intoxicating. He knew who was waiting for him. The elevator doors opened, and there he was—a man he wished he’d never have to see again. Alastair rolled his eyes and shifted back to his original form.

“I challenge you to a fight,” the man, Brenth, muttered coldly.

“I could easily obliterate you if I wanted to,” Alastair replied with a cocky smirk. Brenth clenched his teeth.

“Give me a fair fight,” Brenth demanded, his voice sharp but a glimps of fear lurking in his eyes.

” Well, I can use just one finger,” Alastair teased, pointing his index finger at Brenth, whose face twisted in horror. “I’m kidding, mate—or whatever.” He rolled his eyes again. “I’ll give you what you want, but give me a fair fight too. No silly doggy form.” He grinned devilishly. Brenth nodded, just as cocky.

“Fair enough,” Brenth replied. ” Come in. ”

They stepped into the ring, and the crowd erupted into chaos. Gasps of recognition and fear spread through the Lycans as they realized who was fighting.

“They’re insane,” Claire muttered, sitting next to Brenth’s new Beta. “They’re going to get themselves killed.”

“Shut up, witch,” the man beside her retorted, glaring at her.

Giuseppe, a handsome man in a sleek suit, sat nearby, smirking. “Hello there, sweetie,” he waved at Claire. She stiffened, her smile fading, discomfort creeping up her spine.

“Don’t be afraid, I won’t bite,” Giuseppe whispered with a grin. “I just want to watch.” The Beta beside Claire stood up, fists clenched, glaring at Giuseppe. But before he could act, Giuseppe grabbed his hand, dragging him next to him as the man’s eyes rolled back, losing consciousness.

“Sit down, you’re blocking my view,” Giuseppe said nonchalantly, while Claire sat frozen, powerless. Giuseppe’s abilities prevented her from using her magic, rendering her utterly useless.

The fight began. In a blur of motion, Alastair delivered a punch to Brenth’s face, so fast it was nearly invisible. Brenth flew back, slamming into the ring ropes. Alastair raised a single finger, signaling for him to return, a teasing smirk playing on his lips.

“You bastard!” Brenth growled through clenched teeth, charging at Alastair with a flurry of punches and kicks, his speed at full force. But Alastair, faster still, evaded every blow effortlessly. Brenth’s disbelief grew with every failed strike. He was being toyed with. The crowd screamed and howled, chaos enveloping the arena. Alastair’s kicks landed with brutal precision, forcing pained grunts from Brenth. Then, Alastair let Brenth land a punch, calculating his opponent’s strength. To his surprise, Brenth was stronger than expected. Alastair wiped the blood from his nose, tasting the metallic tang of it.

Brenth seized the moment, launching another barrage of attacks, but Alastair countered each one swiftly, their movements blurring before the frenzied audience. The uppercut came out of nowhere—Brenth’s fist connecting squarely with Alastair’s jaw, sending him crashing into the ceiling. The impact shook the room. Brenth, panting and in agony, grabbed Alastair mid-fall and slammed him into the floor with a sickening thud. The crowd roared in shock and awe.

Giuseppe stood, his eyes narrowing, ready to intervene if necessary. But Alastair stood up, completely unfazed, his expression cold and detached. Brenth stared, his heart pounding, as terror crept into his chest.

“Mate,” Brenth whispered in a shaky voice.

“Don’t ever call me that again!” Alastair growled, his claws extending slightly. His aura darkened, and for a brief moment, Brenth saw his end. ” From this very moment, I… ” he paused for a while. ” I reject you as my imprint or mate-whatever it is. ” He continued and Brenth’s eyes widen as he can feel an insurmountable of pain inside him. Go fuck yourself. ”

In the blink of an eye, Alastair vanished from the ring, his presence like a ghost slipping away.

The referee, dumbfounded, declared Brenth the winner by technical foul—Alastair had left the ring, effectively forfeiting the match. But there was no victory in Brenth’s heart, only the gnawing pain as the bond between them cut off, clutching his chest, he stumbled in the ring and fell to the floor. Claire eyes widen in terror.

Alastair clutched his chest; it was painful but bearable. He sighed in despair as he walked through the dimly lit alley, the air heavy with the scent of damp stone. Giuseppe followed closely behind him.

“Are you okay?” Giuseppe prompted, concern evident in his voice. Alastair nodded slowly.

“Well, it is bearable when you switch off your humanity,” he said grimly. Giuseppe smiled knowingly and nodded in agreement.

In the morning light, Alastair gathered his friends for some friendly close combat, the sun casting long shadows across the training ground.

“Rio and Aliyah,” Alastair announced, his voice firm. They faced each other, the anticipation crackling in the air. Rio stretched his knuckles and neck, while Aliyah smiled mischievously, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

“𝑰𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒖𝒔!” Aliyah was the first to cast a spell, making Rio see creepy things and hear eerie voices. She laughed as she watched Rio’s mind become disoriented, confusion flickering across his face.

“𝑳𝒖𝒙𝒖𝒎!” Rio chanted, dispelling the jinx with a wave of his hand. “You think that was funny?” he shot back, determination returning as he shouted, “𝑺𝒐𝒑𝒐𝒓 𝑳𝒂𝒑𝒔𝒖𝒔!”

“𝑺𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒎!” Aliyah responded by creating an invisible shield that enveloped her body.

“𝑹𝒖𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒎!” Rio countered, shattering her shield. “𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒖𝒔 𝑫𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒐!” Aliyah stumbled, feeling the world around her turn upside down, spinning chaotically.

“𝑨𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒎 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒖𝒎!” She cast a spell, vanishing from Rio’s perception. “𝑻𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒐 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒆𝒓!” After Aliyah chanted, Rio found his mind imprisoned in a dark room filled with shadowy creatures lurking in the corners.

“𝑳𝒖𝒙𝒖𝒎!” Rio cast again, and suddenly, the surroundings snapped back to reality. Aliyah grinned, her confidence unshaken. “𝑽𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒐!” Rio cast a spell that made Aliyah stumble as the entire place seemed to move and melt around them.

“𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒐 𝑰𝒍𝒖𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂!” Aliyah created a bright light shield, briefly illuminating the area before it returned to normal.

“That’s enough,” Alastair chimed in, his voice cutting through the excitement.

“I gave you a fair fight…I didn’t use my ability yet,” Rio said cockily, a smirk on his face as he turned to Aliyah.

” So am I? ” Aliyah retorted, chuckling. They shook hands, squeezing each other’s sides as laughter filled the air, prompting Giuseppe to roll his eyes.

“Now, Kai and Anthony,” Alastair announced, and they stepped forward to face each other, ready for the next match.

“𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒖𝒓𝒊 𝑽𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒔!” Kai summoned hundreds of creepy bugs that appeared from nowhere, crawling toward Anthony.

Anthony panicked, his fear of bugs taking over. “𝑭𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒆! 𝑰𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒐! 𝑰𝒈𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝑪𝒊𝒓𝒄𝒐!” he chanted nonchalantly, trying to incinerate the bugs. A protective ring of fire surrounded him, crackling with intensity.

“𝑻𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒂 𝑨𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂!” Kai chanted, and the ground opened beneath Anthony, swallowing him except for his head.

“𝑨𝒔𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒂!” Anthony shot upward like a rocket, bursting free from the ground. They exchanged spells and incantations, but eventually, Anthony grew exhausted, and Kai claimed victory.

“That’s enough,” Alastair said with a smile, congratulating them both.

“My two fathers,” Alastair called, gesturing for Eddie and Blaze to step forward. They faced each other, tension thick in the air. Eddie used his vampire speed to charge at Blaze, but Blaze surprised him with a blazing shield, throwing Eddie back with a fiery force.

“That’s cheating! No wonder you chose the name Blaze after Evander,” Eddie whined, brushing himself off. Blaze chuckled, hiding his shield.

“Wait, your real name is Evander?” Aliyah blurted out, surprise flashing in her eyes.

“Yes,” Blaze replied, and they all shared a look of disbelief, the revelation hanging in the air.

In a flash, Eddie appeared in Blaze’s face, delivering punches to his nose, mouth, and chest. Blaze grunted in pain but still hadn’t unleashed his full strength. Instead, he summoned two blazing swords, the flames dancing dangerously.

“Whoa, whoa,” Eddie raised his hands playfully. “We’re not using those judgment swords here, buddy.” He chuckled as Blaze laughed and the swords disappeared.

“What are the judgment swords?” Anthony asked, intrigued.

“Well, if you do enough bad things in life compared to good deeds, you’ll perish instantly if the sword hits you even a little,” Eddie explained. Kai hid behind Rio, who in turn, hid behind Aliyah.

“What are you two doing?” Aliyah glanced back at them, a mixture of amusement and annoyance in her expression.
