Estelle sat in Celeste’s office, the weight of their recent argument still hanging in the back of her mind, though it had eased somewhat. After everything, Celeste had assured her again and again that Sabrina was no longer a threat—that she was just a part of Celeste’s past. But Estelle couldn’t shake the feeling that Sabrina wasn’t done trying to push her buttons, and it kept her on edge.
She glanced around the office, a place that had become almost as familiar as her own apartment. Sitting at Celeste’s desk, she felt a strange mix of confidence and nervousness. She belonged here, with Celeste, didn’t she? But there was always that small voice in the back of her head, whispering doubts.
Just as she was about to pull herself out of her thoughts, the door to Celeste’s office creaked open. Estelle’s eyes shot up, and her heart immediately sank when she saw Sabrina step inside, her usual confident smirk plastered across her face.
Of course it’s her.
“Well, look who it is,” Sabrina purred, leaning casually against the doorframe as if she owned the place. “Playing office with Celeste, are we?”
Estelle felt her pulse quicken, but she refused to show any sign of weakness. Sabrina wanted to mess with her, to rattle her, but Estelle wasn’t going to give her the satisfaction.
She stood up from the desk, meeting Sabrina’s gaze head-on. “What do you want, Sabrina?” Estelle’s voice was cold, her expression unreadable.
Sabrina’s smirk widened as she sauntered into the room, her heels clicking against the floor. “Oh, I just came to see Celeste. You know, catch up with her. We have such a long history, after all.”
Estelle’s jaw clenched at the insinuation. Sabrina was playing her usual games, trying to get under her skin, but Estelle had had enough. She wasn’t going to let this woman control the narrative any longer.
Sabrina moved closer, her eyes flicking over Estelle like she was something to be dismissed, a mere inconvenience. “You know,” Sabrina continued, her tone condescending, “Celeste and I have something special. Something you could never understand. You’re just a phase—temporary. She’ll come back to me, eventually.”
Estelle’s heart pounded with a mixture of anger and adrenaline, but instead of backing down, she did something Sabrina clearly wasn’t expecting.
She stepped forward, closing the gap between them, her expression darkening with determination. Sabrina blinked in surprise, clearly not expecting Estelle to stand her ground like this.
“You think you can come in here and mess with me?” Estelle’s voice was low, dangerous. “You don’t know who you’re dealing with.”
Sabrina’s smirk faltered slightly, but she quickly regained her composure. “Oh, please. You’re just a toy to Celeste. You really think you can threaten me?”
Estelle didn’t answer. Instead, she took another step forward, crowding Sabrina against the wall. Her hands pressed flat against the wall on either side of Sabrina’s head, effectively trapping her. Sabrina’s eyes widened slightly at the unexpected move.
Estelle leaned in, her voice a deadly whisper. “Here’s the thing, Sabrina. You can keep trying to mess with me, but it won’t work. Celeste doesn’t belong to you anymore. She’s mine. And if you think I’m going to let you walk in here and act like you still have some claim on her, you’re dead wrong.”
Sabrina’s breath hitched, clearly taken aback by the shift in power. Estelle wasn’t backing down. She had played the quiet, insecure part for too long, and now it was time to show Sabrina exactly who she was dealing with.
“You want to play games?” Estelle’s voice was soft but filled with menace. “Fine. Two can play that game. But I’m warning you—if you keep pushing, you’ll regret it.”
Sabrina’s eyes flickered with uncertainty, but before she could respond, the door to the office swung open, and Celeste stepped inside. Her eyes immediately narrowed as she took in the scene—Estelle pinning Sabrina against the wall, her body radiating possessiveness and power.
“Oh, hi baby,” Estelle said with a smirk, not bothering to move away from Sabrina. “Just having a nice chat with your ex here.”
Celeste’s eyes darkened with a mix of surprise and something else—something possessive and approving. She stepped fully into the office, her gaze shifting between Estelle and Sabrina.
Sabrina, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, quickly pushed off the wall, trying to regain some semblance of control. “I was just leaving,” she muttered, her usual confidence faltering. “We’ll talk later, Celeste.”
But Celeste didn’t take her eyes off Estelle. “No, you won’t,” Celeste said coldly, her voice low and authoritative. “Sabrina, you and I are done. If you have something to say, you can take it elsewhere.”
Sabrina’s mouth tightened, her eyes flashing with anger, but she didn’t say anything. With one final glare at Estelle, she turned and stormed out of the office, slamming the door behind her.
The moment Sabrina was gone, the tension in the room shifted. Estelle let out a shaky breath, still riding the adrenaline high from the confrontation. She turned to face Celeste, her heart pounding, but there was a small, victorious smile on her lips.
Celeste stepped closer, her eyes gleaming with a mixture of pride and desire. “What was that?” she asked, her voice soft but filled with approval.
Estelle shrugged, trying to play it cool, but she could feel the heat in her cheeks. “She wanted to mess with me,” she said simply. “I wasn’t going to let her.”
Celeste’s lips curved into a slow, predatory smile as she reached out and gently took Estelle’s chin in her hand, tilting her head up to meet her gaze. “You handled that beautifully,” she murmured, her voice low and dangerous. “I didn’t know you had that in you.”
Estelle’s breath caught in her throat as Celeste leaned in, her lips brushing against her ear. “It’s incredibly sexy when you’re possessive,” Celeste whispered, her voice sending shivers down Estelle’s spine. “I like seeing this side of you.”
Estelle’s heart raced, her body heating under Celeste’s intense gaze. “She doesn’t get to have you,” Estelle whispered, her voice thick with emotion. “You’re mine.”
Celeste pulled back slightly, her eyes locking onto Estelle’s with that same possessive fire she had seen so many times before. “Yes,” Celeste murmured, her voice a low growl. “I’m yours. And don’t forget—you’re mine.”
Before Estelle could respond, Celeste pulled her into a fierce, possessive kiss that left her breathless, her body melting into Celeste’s as the intensity between them flared once again.
Sabrina may have tried to stir up trouble, but Estelle had made one thing clear: Celeste was hers. And she wasn’t about to let anyone take that away from her.
