“Did you like the food?” Duri asked.
“Uhm.” I replied.
“You can recommend a restaurant next time.” he said.
Im about to answer him but suddenly a car bump us.
“What the heck is that?!” I asked.
“Go down on your chair as you can Lula!” Duri said and start to drive fast.
“Why?! What is happening?”
“I’ll tell you later, for now listen to me, go down, close your eyes and cover your ears, Lula!”
Because of fear, I obey him. Scare added when I felt the car dancing to bump in another car.
“Duri!” I shouted in fears.
“Its okey, I promise I will get you out of here.”
I never stop shouted, when I heard a gun shooting our car.
“Duri what’s happening?!” I almost glue myself in the car floor.
“Take them away, I need to get Lula out of here.” I heard Duri talking in his phone and ended quick.
His phone ring again. “Boss?”
“Open the back gate in 3 minutes from now.” he ordered, then the call ended.
I didn’t have idea whose he talking.
After a few minutes, the car stop. I can’t moved my body. I was trembling. Am I still alive? I heard Duri calling me.
“Lula, are you okey?” he help me to sitted. “Let me see you, something hurt?” he asked.
I was too shocked to speak. “Lula, you’re safe now.”
“I’m alive right?” I asked looking dumbed.
“Yes, you are babe.” Duri said and hug me. “Its okey now.”
We stay that way until I found myself again. I pushed him away when I gain my anxiety.
“You bastard tell me what happened there? Why their shooting us? Explain it to me now!”
“You really back in your tongue now.” he said smirking.
“I’m not trying to joke here CEO? I said in determination.
“Probably, they are my rivals.”
“Rivals? You mean business competitor?”
“Yes, let’s put it that way.”
“Shit. Why I come with you?”
“Look, I didn’t know they will attack me while I’m with you.”
“Off course they will, they never cared.” I said in frustration.
“Lula, I’m sorry for dragging you in this mess.”
“I need to go home now.” I said ignoring him and get out of the car. “Aaarrghh… My car!” I shouted after seeing my car outside.
Duri come out and come to my side. “I’m sorry.”
“Sorry? I’m still paying the balance of this car Duri. Now, see? How can I use this trash again? Even the insurance will refused to cover this.”
“I will buy you new.”
“Buy me? is that easy for you? Then buy me patience also, because I’m losing it now!”
“Lula, please. I don’t want this to happen either.”
I sit in the ground and for a moment I tried to calm myself. I closed my eyes and breath deeply.
“Okey, no need to buy me a new car. Just pay the remaining balances. From now on, stay away from me. I don’t want to involved myself in you.” I said and about to walk away.
“Wait, I can’t do that. Where are you going?”
“Go home.”
“You can’t, is not safe.”
“What? That’s my house.”
“They might know you now.”
“For goodness sake. What I do now? In one seconds I lost everything?”
“You stay here. I have many people here to make you safe.”
“What about my house? My work?”
“I will order my bodyguard to accompany you to get your things there. About you’re work, there’s nothing to worry. You have me there and your personal bodyguards.”
“What kind of person you are, CEO Kang? Having so many bodyguards is not normal for me.”
