“Put on your hat, or you’ll catch a cold.” Caleb huffs with Damien’s hat in his hand. Damien, with a groan, grabs the hat from Caleb and pulls the hat on his head.
“Happy?” Damien sarcastically retorted.
“Very.” Caleb pecked Damien on the cheek, and smiled before adjusting his coat and pulling on his scarf and earmuffs.
“You guys got everything?” I ask, pulling out my phone, checking the time. 6:55 P.M. I was standing in front of the door, my free hand holding the door knob about to twist it open.
“Yea, we’re good.” Caleb assured me, subsequently I opened the door and the cold air hit me faster than a bullet train. It was even cold for me, and I don’t shiver easily.
“Why can’t we stay inside for a date? It’s cold as shit out here.” Damien grumbled which made Caleb punch him in the arm.
“If you don’t wanna-” Caleb interrupted me with a finger to my lips.
“Don’t listen to Damien’s ungrateful ass, let’s go.” He grabbed my hand and dragged me to the car, an upset Damien followed closely behind. We hop in the car and I immediately turn the heat on, warming us up, which makes Damien feel better and his attitude changes.
Note to self; The colder it is, the worse Damien’s attitude gets.
I planned tonight perfectly. I was gonna take them ice skating for an hour, then take them out to eat afterwards. Tonight kinda had to be perfect, since this is the first date I’ve ever planned, and been on. I haven’t dated anyone else besides them. I know they’ve dated many people, and been on countless of dates that they enjoyed. I don’t want them to think I’m boring and never want to go on a date with me again. So this night had to be perfect.
~~~
“I’ve never been skating before.” Caleb anxious explains to me as we enter the building with the skating rink.
“Don’t worry, you can hold on to me and I’ll guide you.” I chuckle at his anxiousness, reassuring him he was alright.
“What about you? Can you skate—” I turn around to Damien, but he was no where is sight, “—Where the hell did he go?”
“Damien?” Caleb turned as he took his coat off and sat it on a chair. I began to do the same, sitting my coat on the chair next to his. Caleb began to pull his phone out, and texting our missing partner. With a sigh, he shoved his phone in his pocket.
“La perra estupida is in the line for the restroom.”
(The stupid bitch)
“I know he’s a grown man, but a little heads-up would have been nice. I thought he left.” What if he’s lying and went back to the car and doesn’t want to be here. He was upset about the cold, so taking hims to an ice rink might not have been a good date plan.
Maybe I should just have done movies and take out as a first date? Maybe he would be more happier. He’s probably really upset.
“Anyway, let’s go get some skates.” Caleb pulls his shoes off and immediately I do the same before going to rent some skates from the stan and immediately going in the rink.
“It’s been a long ass time since I’ve been on an ice rink.” I begin to skate around a bit, the feeling coming back to me. When I had depression my mom would take me out places, and the skating rink was one of them. I told her I enjoyed skating and we would come here a lot, so of course I learned. But it’s been like a year or two since I ice skated.
“Milo, that’s wonderful you can skate but I— crap!” He slipped and fell on his ass, which made me start hysterically laughing. He stared at me glassily as I laughed at him falling on his ass.
He mocked me before trying to stand up, but miserably failing and falling on his ass again. I was dying of laughter, my hands wrapped around my stomach. I nearly began choking from how hard I was laughing.
“I— I’m sorry.” My laughing slowly began to die down, catching my composure. I skated over to him and held out a hand for him to grab, which he did with a salty stare at me.
“I hate you.” He spoke as I pulled him up.
“You know I could just let you go and watch you struggle like a child, right?” I smirked with a brow raise.
“Don’t, please.” He held onto my hand tighter.
“Ok then—” I stopped, a familiar feeling began to consume me. I immediately put my guard up, holding Caleb’s hand tighter. I began to look around, and only saw people skating and falling, no one seemed to be paying attention to us specifically.
I’m just being paranoid
Yea
“Milo, are you ok?” Caleb asked worriedly.
“Oh— sorry, I just could have sworn…” I looked around again, the feeling still not disappearing.
“There you two are.” Damien’s voice blurted from my blind spot, startling me and I quickly turned around. I watched him skate over to us.
“You could have told us you were off to the restroom. We thought you left.” Caleb retorted as Damien stopped in front of us.
“And why would I leave two drop dead gorgeous men alone? I don’t need anyone flirting with them.” Damien pecks Caleb’s forehead before carefully and closely looking around. Was he not comfortable with PDA? Or does he feel it too? Like someone is watching us.
“Well you just missed Caleb falling on his ass twice.” I chuckled, and received a glare from Caleb.
“When we get back to the house I’m going to fuck you up so bad.”
“Talking dirty to me in public Caleb?” I respond with a smug expression. Which made Caleb’s face turn a different tint.
“Yea, where are your manners Caleb?”lol
“I hate you two fucking much.”
We skated around happily, Caleb had to hold on to one of us or he would fall. Which he did more than several times, sometimes he’d take us down with him. I was happy that they were enjoying themselves, which meant everything was going great. But the feeling of someone watching us began to worry me, I acted like I didn’t notice anything hoping the feeling would go away.
After an hour we left and went out to eat. I took them to Timmy’s. I would always go to Timmy’s with my mom and dad when I was younger. I haven’t been since my dad died, because of the good memories I have there. But I think it’s time to make more memories, my dad would want me to.
“I love Timmy’s!” Caleb’s eyes sparkled as we walked into the building. He began to explain random memories at this place as we sat in one of the many seating booth to sit. Damien and I on one side and Caleb on the other.
“Hello, may I take your guy’s order?” The brunet waiter asked, with a pleasant smile on her face. We order our food, but she hasn’t left yet.
“Um, you’re cute.” She stated, which caught me off guard. I look up at her and she has a red coat of blush consuming her cheeks as she smiles at Caleb.
“Thanks.” Caleb smiled in return at the compliment, not understanding that she was flirting with him.
On the other hand, Me and Damien knew she was flirting and wasn’t at all happy watching her flirt with the guy we were on a date with. Both our moods turned sour.
“Don’t you have somewhere else to be?” I snapped, my tone thick with irritation and annoyance.
“I’m sorry.” She apologizes, “I’ll give you my number—”
“He’s taken.” Damien retorted harshly, taking Caleb’s hand in his own. The girl apologized again and quickly rushed off.
“That was rude, and plus it’s not like I can like her.”
“Yea, still, she took interest in you.” I rolled my eyes, Damien on the same page as me, agrees which caused Caleb to let out a sigh.
“You guys are impossible.”
“Are you saying that if a girl flirt with one of us, you wouldn’t get jealous?” Damien raised a curious brow.
“There’s a difference, you two like girls. So of course I would be jealous, I have a reason to.”
“But still—”
“So we’re having dinner?” A voice emerges, and immediately I feel my hand clench and my anger spike. I look up from Caleb and I see Nathan.
I watch Caleb’s expression change, the fear consuming his face almost immediately as Nathan sits in the booth with him. “I miss you baby—” As he grabbed Caleb’s chin Damien voice stopped him.
“Don’t you fucking touch him.” Damien darkly spat, his eyes glaring daggers at Nathan.
