“Oh, my… My prediction was right”. Kakashi suddenly spoke up, and that confused Zabuza. “Your prediction?” Zabuza asked. “The masked guy”. Kakashi continued. Sakura let out an undignified ‘Huh?!’, but the confusion disappeared once Sasuke also spoke up. “Just as I thought, too”. He said. “So it was a lie that he was a pursuing ninja from the Hidden Village of the Mist?” Tazuna added. Akashi jumped in with narrowed eyes. “Not a very good lie”.

“He’s on Zabuza’s side no matter how you look at it”. Kakashi nonchalantly said from the side. “They’re lined up so nicely”. He added. Kakashi and Sakura then started a conversation about hating conceited kids and Sakura told him that the kid is better in that field than Kakashi. “I’ll fight him”. Sasuke declared. Sakura let out a confused ‘Eh?’, before Sasuke continued. “He pulled that stupid act on us, I hate conceited guys like that”.

Even though he said the same thing Kakashi did, Sakura immediately said how amazing Sasuke is. Akashi sighed from the side. Sakura… “Sakura never corrects Sasuke”. Kakashi whispered from the side. Akashi gave him a side-glance and shook his head. The boy from next to Zabuza, started spinning in rapid speed and going towards Sasuke. Sasuke managed to block the hit and the two of them started struggling to overpower one another.

“Sakura, stick with Tazuna and don’t go too far from me”. Kakashi ordered Sakura and she jumped in front of Tazuna. Akashi furrowed his brows. “Sensei, what do I do?” He turned to Kakashi. “Stay near both Sakura and Sasuke, and if one of them fails to do their job, take over”. He simply said as he turned to look at Zabuza. Akashi stiffly nodded and stayed in position, observing.

Sasuke continued struggling against the masked ninja. The ninja raised his free hand up and started doing hand-signs. “Huh? With one hand?” Akashi exclaimed in surprise, before gripping the kunai in his hand. Focus. He thought as he looked in front of himself. The ninja hit the puddle of water underneath them with the sole of his foot and the water raised over their heads. The water turned into sharp needles, ready to pierce Sasuke.

The needles started descending upon the ground where Sasuke was. Akashi was about to interfere, but he sensed Chakra gathering at Sasuke’s legs. He used the Chakra to enhance his legs so he could dodge the needles. The masked ninja also jumped away. Sasuke was now in the air, throwing throwing stars at the ninja, who continued to jump back and evade them. Sasuke appeared behind the ninja and they started fighting again.

Sasuke took out a hidden kunai from his back and threw it at the ninja. The ninja crouched under the kunai, but Sasuke managed to hit him in the face, sending him flying next to Zabuza. “Looks like my speed is better”. Sasuke taunted the opponents. “Don’t make fun of our team just because we have children”. Kakashi called out. “Sasuke is the village of Konoha’s top rookie, Sakura is the village’s shrewdest child, Akashi is right up there with the two of them… and the other one likes to show off and is number one in surprising people”. He trailed off, before continuing. “He’s the noisy ninja, Naruto”. He finished.

The masked ninja stood up and he started gathering a large amount of Chakra. “It’s a shame”. He spoke up. Ice mirrors formed around Sasuke, separating him from the others. “Mirror of Ice Crystals”. The ninja declared and stepped inside on of the mirrors. “Sensei, what is that?” Akashi asked, a baffled expression on his face. Kakashi stayed silent for a moment, before answering. “I’m not sure”.

All of the mirrors then showed an image of the masked ninja. Kakashi dashed towards Sasuke, but Zabuza appeared in front of him. “I’m your opponent, besides, he’s a goner now that Haku’s used that technique”. Kakashi took a step back. “Sakura, stay with Tazuna, Akashi, help Sasuke!” He yelled to them. Sakura froze in front of Tazuna and Akashi immediately broke into a sprint towards the ice prison Sasuke was in.

Sakura dashed and threw a kunai to Sasuke, but before it could reach him, Haku, who was half out of the mirror, plucked it out of the air. A moment later, a shuriken hit Haku in the mask, making him fall out of the mirror and onto the ground. The events that happened made Akashi stop in his tracks and turn to where the shuriken came from. And there stood Naruto. “Uzumaki Naruto is here!” Akashi let out a sigh of relief, before turning back to where Sasuke was.

At that moment, Zabuza turned around and threw four shurikens at Naruto. Just as it seemed they would hit him, Haku threw senbon needles which knocked the shurikens away. Naruto then started yelling at Haku how he tricked them into believing he was a hunter ninja. Haku said it was just as Kakashi said a while ago, a ninjas duty is to deceive and find an unguarded spot. He then dodged a kunai from Sasuke and stepped back inside the mirror.

Akashi dashed over to where Naruto was. “Naruto!” He said as he stopped next to him. Naruto turned to him in surprise, before a small grin appeared on his face. “Hey there, bro!” He exclaimed. Akashi pulled him closer and whispered in his ear. “We need to help Sasuke, that ninja? He’s strong”. Naruto nodded and turned to the mirrors. Haku, again, appeared on all of the mirrors surrounding Sasuke.

Haku started throwing senbon needles at him, until Sasuke was thrown to the ground. “Sasuke!” Sakura, Naruto and Akashi all yelled at the same time, seeing how Sasuke was hurt. Kakashi couldn’t do anything, since Zabuza was in front of him, and if he moved, Tazuna would end up dead. Should we attack from the outside as Sasuke attacks from the inside? Just as he finished that trail of thought, he noticed that Naruto was no longer next to him. “Naruto?!” He yelled as he saw Naruto next to Sasuke.

“Why the hell are you inside?!” He shouted as a tick mark appeared on his forehead. He looked close to bursting a vein. Naruto, seeing his brother rage, scratched the back of his head. “I wanted to help him, ya know?!” He pointed a finger in Sasuke’s direction. “Didn’t you say we should help?!” He shouted back. Akashi took a deep breath to calm himself, before throwing a kunai at one of the mirrors.

The kunai bounced off of the mirror and didn’t even leave a scratch. What?! I threw that with all my strength! He shook his head and looked at Naruto and Sasuke. Sasuke was arguing with Naruto, before he stood up and did hand-signs. Naruto was confused as to what he was doing. Sasuke then breathed out a fireball. The fire hit the mirrors, but it did nothing. “It won’t melt with that kind of firepower”. Haku said from inside the mirror, his voice echoing.

The mirrors then started growing more and more bright, before something hit both Naruto and Sasuke, sending them flying. From the outside, Akashi was trying to think of a way to save them and defeat Haku in the process. What do I do?! I can’t help them from the outside, so that means… He trailed off and readied himself. Kakashi saw what he was doing. “Akashi! No!” He yelled, but it was too late. Akashi jumped inside the mirrors and crouched between Naruto and Sasuke.

He looked between them and deducted that Sasuke was hurt more badly. He grabbed him by the shoulders and hovered his palms over his bleeding wounds. “I’ll try to heal you two as much as possible”. He said as a green light appeared over his hands and the wounds stopped bleeding. Haku noticed he was healing them. “Seems like I’ll need to get rid of you first, I can’t have you heal all the damage I did”. He then threw needles at him.

Akashi, albeit not seeing the needles, managed to dodge them because they were cloaked in Chakra. “What?!” Haku exclaimed in surprise as he saw Akashi move out of the way. “No wonder they couldn’t dodge the needles, they are covered in Chakra, aren’t they?” He straightened up and glared at Haku. The masked ninja then remembered something. “Ah, you’re that boy who sensed me in the tree, aren’t you?” He asked and Akashi silently nodded.

Haku then shook his head. “Doesn’t matter, you can’t protect the both of them”. He then sent a wave of needles, and even though Akashi could sense them, he couldn’t block them. The needles hit both Naruto and Sasuke and sent them flying. Akashi evaded them and jumped to where the boys were. He continued healing them.

“Damn it”. Naruto silently said. “I can’t die here, I still have a dream I need to achieve”. He whispered. “The dream to make villagers recognize me and to become Hokage!” He exclaimed as he glared at Haku. “I will fight for my dream”. Haku said. “And you will fight for your dream”. He continued. “Please do not hold any grudges, I want to protect an important person, to work for him, fight for him and make his dream come true”. Those words made something deep within Akashi ache.

Make the dream of his important person come true, eh? He side-glanced at Naruto. I want to do that too, and to do that… I need to win here. “That is my dream. In order to make it come true, I will become a ninja! I will kill you!” He declared and readied a needle. Naruto did his Shadow Clone technique, but in vain. Haku dodged every hit and threw needles at them. The clones turned into smoke and Sasuke was also hit.

“Naruto, that techniques is useless right now, he’s too fast!” Akashi said from the side, gritting his teeth. Not listening, Naruto did the technique again, with the same end results. Akashi continued healing them, but Haku did more damage then Akashi could heal. “Damn it!” He growled out as a wound on Naruto’s cheek closed. Naruto’s clones just kept popping and popping.

Sasuke told Naruto to get out and attack from the outside, while he and Akashi stay inside. Naruto agreed and tried to run out, but was blown back each time. Sasuke did his fire technique, but he missed and Haku lodged a needle inside his shoulder. He ripped the needle out and Akashi stopped the bleeding. They tried it one more time, but they were both impaled by a dozen of needles.

Being the stubborn fools they are, they got up and tried again. Naruto was impaled by needles once more and thrown back. “Naruto!” Akashi dashed to his side and tried to stop the bleeding, but it was too severe this time. “Come on!” He yelled as he forced more and more Chakra into the technique, but it was useless, he was too inexperienced in using it. Sasuke crouched besides them. “Stop using so much Chakra like that!” He told Naruto. “I know”. He whispered as he tried to stand up, but he fell back down.

“Akashi, any ideas?” Sasuke turned to him. Akashi grit his teeth and angrily shook his head as he tried to heal Naruto. Sasuke stood up and picked up a needle, which he used to deflect the other needles thrown at him. “Get up!” He yelled at Naruto, who twitched and then started getting up. “Stop being so annoying!” He growled out as he sat up straight. He turned to Akashi and weakly grinned. “Thank, bro, that helped a lot”.

A moment later, he fell back onto the ground. “W-Wait! Naruto!” Akashi grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him weakly. “Open your eyes! Naruto!” He yelled, eyes opened up wide, a scared expression on his face. Haku prepared for another attack and threw the needles at them. Sasuke looked at Akashi and nodded. Akashi jumped to the side and Sasuke grabbed Naruto, evading the needles.

Once his feet met the ground, Akashi looked at Sasuke immediately. His Chakra… it’s changed its path! As Sasuke raised his head, his eyes were red. The Sharingan?! He awakened it!
