The blade flew out of his hand without any resistance.
“What are you doing?” The raven-haired boy asked him. Violet eyes opened up at the question. What was he supposed to say?
I wanted to kill myself? I wanted to end it all? I wanted the pain to stop? I wanted to disappear? He didn’t know… He didn’t know…
“Does it matter?” Was what he chose to say. Was it the correct answer? He didn’t know… The other boy sheathed his blade and Akashi glanced to the side. Sakura was looking at them with a confused expression on her face. He noticed Naruto stir on the ground and he did the only thing he could. He reached for Sasuke and the moment his hand touched him, they disappeared.
Yamato’s eyes widened when the boys vanished from his sight. Did Akashi teleport them away? What was the meaning of this?! What was he thinking?! Naruto groaned and pushed himself up at that moment. He confusedly looked around and his eyes snapped wide when he noticed Akashi and Sasuke were gone. He glanced at Yamato, but the man was quiet.
Just what had happened while he was unconscious?
_
Akashi bent down and picked up the kunai he had hidden under the rock. After he carefully stashed it back into his pouch, he settled a palm over his stomach. The other boy stood in silence, just looking at him. “Why did you bring me here?” Akashi ignored him and closed his eyes. The seed that Yamato had given him was revealing his location. He needed to destroy it as soon as possible. So, he concentrated chakra into the palm of his hand and winced as it burned the inside of his body. A few moments later, he let out a breath in relief. The seed was successfully destroyed.
“I won’t ask again”. He heard the Uchiha’s voice and raised his hand. The red-hilted blade appeared in it and he sheathed it onto his back.
“Why did you knock the blade out of my hand?” He glanced at the other boy and saw only a blank expression. “Why did you stop me? Didn’t you say you severed the ties between us all? So why did you stop me?” He took a step forward, but the Uchiha made no motion to step back. “Why couldn’t you just let me finish the job? Why couldn’t you just let me die?” He was standing in front of him now, but he received no answer in return.
“I don’t know”. Akashi almost laughed out loud at his words. He didn’t know? He didn’t fucking know?
“Liar”. The redhead accused him. “You’re lying”. He took another step forward and this time, the other boy moved back. “You know why you did it and I want to know the truth… This time, just tell me the truth”. This time… This time… This time… That brought back memories… Memories of that fateful night that he left the village. It reminded the dark-haired boy about the lie he had told on that night.
I’m sorry. He had said. I’m sorry. He had repeated… But he meant none of that. He wasn’t sorry… He had wanted to stay, but his want for revenge had overpowered his want for connections. His want for friends…
His want for love…
“I don’t know”. Akashi lowered his head at those words. He didn’t know…
“I hate you”. Sasuke’s eyes widened in reply. “I hate you, so, so much”. The redhead whispered with clenched fists. His body was shaking as he talked. “You have no idea how much I hate you”. Sasuke felt his hand twitch in want. Want for what? Comfort?
The boy in front of him?
“And to think I wanted to come save you… What a joke…”. A smile rose to his face, but it was not out of happiness. “Why did I even come here? I shouldn’t have went with them”. He took a step back, but a tight grip on his wrist stopped him. He trailed his eyes over the pale skin of the hand. “Let me go”. He demanded, violet eyes clashing with ones darker than the abyss.
“No”. Was what he got as a reply.
“No?” He tried to rip his hand away, but the grip tightened.
“No”. The other boy repeated and Akashi grit his teeth.
“Why not?” He ripped his hand back while asking the question, but Sasuke managed to grab it again, holding it even tighter, almost painfully.
He didn’t expect the words which came out of the Uchiha’s mouth.
“I let you go once, I’m not doing it again”. That had crossed the line. Akashi’s eyes widened and he felt his skin slowly heating up. How dare he say that? How dare he?! He had no right to say any of that! His teeth grit even further and he glared at him. Anger bubbled beneath his skin and he didn’t even try to hold it back.
“How nice of you”. He snarled and his body temperature skyrocketed. Sasuke’s hand whipped back as if he was burnt. Which was a close description. His eyes widened once more as he was met with no longer violet eyes, but with crimson ones. “So you think you can do that? You think I’ll allow you to do that?” There was a brief moment of time where they just stared at one another, before Akashi lunged forward and Sasuke had nowhere to move out of the way.
The redhead’s body slammed into his own and he was forced onto the hard ground. “You’re not letting me go?” He heard Akashi ask as he leaned over him. Something cold touched his neck and Sasuke glanced down. A long blade was being held at his throat. It slowly pressed forward and he felt a stinging sensation as his skin was split open by the sharpness of the weapon. “That’s awfully possessive of you”. He looked up and saw those crimson eyes of his. They sent an inexplicable feeling through his body.
“I mean it”. A hand settled onto his ribs and he felt them being pressed down by the harsh pressure.
“One more word and you’ll regret it”. He was warned, but he thought none of it. Akashi watched as the boy beneath him shifted and an arm was raised. He warily watched it come closer to him and he froze in place as it was placed on his cheek.
“You’ve changed”. He heard Sasuke speak up.
“I told you to stop talking”. The pressure increased and Sasuke felt his rib shift. One more press and it would crack.
The wind blew over their heads and he watched as the crimson hair fluttered in the wind… And then… He shifted his hand to move that one single strand of hair from in front of the redhead’s eyes. “This didn’t change”. The strand was pushed back and Akashi felt like he was thirteen all over again.
He closed his eyes to calm himself.
He was no longer thirteen… Time had passed… Things had changed…
He had changed…
Breathe in…
Breathe out…
Breathe in…
Breathe out…
When he opened his eyes, they were no longer red, but had returned to their original colour. He glanced at the boy under him and was met with a nonchalant expression and dark orbs which bore straight into his. “Why did you do it?” He asked, still wondering why Sasuke had stopped the finishing blow.
The said boy blinked and his features relaxed. “Because… I didn’t want to see you die”. That was the reply he got. That was the answer he had wanted to hear… And now, after he heard it, it made things even more complicated for him.
“Why?” He leaned down, removing the blade from his neck. “Why?” He repeated, wanting to hear the full reason. He needed to hear the full reason. But, of course, Sasuke kept his lips sealed. Akashi reached a hand down and his thumb brushed the side of the other boy’s jaw. He watched as Sasuke closed his eyes the moment skin touched skin.
He moved his thumb to the side and Sasuke’s bottom lip got caught by it. The said boy’s eyes opened at the feeling and Akashi slid his thumb down. The lip was also pulled down and Akashi could see white teeth peek out from behind it. “Won’t you answer me?” He leaned down, face inches away from Sasuke’s. “Won’t you talk with me?” He tilted his head to the side and he felt Sasuke’s breath hit his cheek. They were so close now… So close…
“Because… I-!” Akashi leaned away and placed his palm on the boy’s cheek, pushing his head to the side.
“Seems like our fun is cut short”. He sighed and stood up, leaving Sasuke on the ground. He glanced to the side and watched as Orochimaru and Kabuto approached them. “They’ve found me”. He peered back at Sasuke and saw him stand up. The boy looked at him with an unreadable expression. Damn it… He was so close to finding out the truth… Fucking timing… “Well… Until our next meeting”. He said and disappeared in a flash of red.
Sasuke was left standing there, wondering how things had turned out this way.
_
Once Akashi had appeared in the hideout, he noticed Naruto was on the ground. “Naruto?” He asked and took a step closer. The said boy looked up with tear-filled eyes. Hearing a sniff from the side, he looked and saw Sakura was also crying, tears streaming down her face. “Sakura?” She turned her head towards him and wiped at her cheeks.
“You’re back…”, she weakly searched around him, “… alone”. It dawned on Akashi. They thought he was going to come back with Sasuke, since he had taken him away.
“Yeah…”. He had little time to move once he sensed it. He whipped back around just in time to see Yamato’s Wood Release wrap around him. “Yamato?!” Akashi exclaimed as he struggled to move.
“What did you do?” The man asked as he approached him.
“Do? What are you talking about?!” It was futile to try and escape the wood around him.
“You left with Sasuke! What did you do?!” He demanded as he stopped in front of the struggling redhead.
“I talked with him! We talked! That’s all!” He grit his teeth and glared at the man.
“About what?” Yamato enquired.
“That’s none of your business!” Akashi replied. The man sighed at his words and raised his hand in a hand-sign. The wood around Akashi tightened and he let out a gasp as the breath was forced out of his lungs.
“I’m sorry to do this, but you will be brought back to Konoha for questioning”. With that, the world around him started spinning and his eyes rolled back into his head.
Infinite darkness greeted him.
_
When he finally came to, he found himself in a dimly lit room. Alarmed, he tried to move, but noticed that he was tied up to a chair. Gritting his teeth, he went to activate his seal jutsu, but nothing happened. It was in that moment, that he had realised what was wrapped around his arms and legs. Seals, all kinds of them, were blocking his chakra from being used.
“I see that you’ve awoken”. He glanced ahead of himself and saw a blond man with long hair leaning on a wall. “I reckon you’ve got a killer headache right now, eh?” Yeah… He fucking did. Where the hell was he?
“Where am I?” He asked out loud and the man pushed off the wall, slowly walking closer to him.
“You’re in Konoha’s Interrogation Chambers…”. The man answered.
“Why am I here?” Akashi asked, narrowing his eyes.
“As you can guess from the name, you’re here for an interrogation”. Interrogation? Why? “My name is Yamanaka Inoichi, by the way”. Yamanaka? No wonder he looked familiar. He was Ino’s dad.
“What are you going to do to me?” Inoichi clicked his tongue at his question.
“That depends on how much you cooperate with me”. He grabbed a chair from the side and placed it in front of Akashi, before he sat on it. “Now… What were you doing with Uchiha Sasuke on your last mission?” Akashi’s eyes widened. Is this why he was here? Just because of that?
“Talking”. He answered and the man shook his head.
“You have to be more specific… What were you talking about?” Akashi didn’t reply. Why should he? That was none of their business. “I see this is going to be hard…”. Inoichi leaned forward. “Boy, listen, you better answer the questions properly and truthfully… If not, then I’ll find the answers by force and you don’t want that”. Was this the man’s attempt at a threat? What was he going to do? Torture him? He remained silent and Inoichi shook his head. “I’m sorry about this”. He apologised and Akashi furrowed his brows.
The man raised his hands in a hand-sign and closed his eyes. “Memory Seeking Jutsu!” Inoichi yelled out and slammed his palm onto Akashi’s forehead. The said boy’s eyes rolled back into his head and his body fell limp.
Inoichi’s actions mirrored his own.
_
The blond man found himself in the middle of endless darkness. Just as he expected… This was going to be hard.
He walked around the place until he stumbled upon a memory. It was a small, almost insignificant one, but he didn’t need it, so he walked past it. This went on and on for a while and then he finally did it… He found it…
The memory of his talk with Sasuke. He reached forward, but something unexpected happened. The memory disappeared from in front of him and in its place stood another one. It was too late to bring his hand back at this point, and he stumbled inside it, the world around him exploding in a bright flash of pure whiteness.
_
“We need to move, they’re not far behind us”. Bird said as he ran in front of the rest of his team. They followed closely behind without a word. Akashi grit his teeth at his words. They had lost Tiger already… Just because they were caught off guard… Damn it! He thought in annoyance, feeling anger gnaw at him from the depth of his being.
“Wolf, calm down”. He glanced to the side and saw Coyote looking at him. Biting his lip, he nodded. He’s right… Now is not the time for this, he needed to focus. He needed to make sure no one else ended up dead.
_
They ran for a while, until a kunai flew out of the bush next to them. Akashi hurriedly deflected it. How did he not notice the person there?! What was going on?! An enemy ninja jumped out, but he was quickly taken care of by Bird. “Wolf! What’s wrong?!” He yelled back as they continued running.
“I don’t know! I can’t sense anyone right now, not even you two!” He replied, feeling anxious. This was bad, very, very bad. If he couldn’t sense them, then how were they going to get through this?! There were dozens upon dozens of enemy ninja at that time, no doubt they were right behind them. Some lucky, or unlucky, ones had managed to get ahead of them, but the worse was behind them and it was catching up pretty fast.
“Don’t worry, just keep on moving!” Bird added and picked up his speed. Coyote and Wolf followed suit.
_
“Bird!” Akashi yelled out when he saw him get knocked away. Damn it! Damn it all! He grabbed his kunai and threw it forward, instantly teleporting to it. The enemy was just about to cut Bird down, but Akashi was faster… His blade dug through his head and he flicked his wrist, the blade cutting out to the side. The ninja collapsed and blood started pooling at the ground. “Are you alright?” He crouched down next to the older man and reached forward.
“I’m fine!” Bird replied and hurriedly stood up, faltering on his feet, but acting like nothing happened. He went past Akashi’s extended hand. “We need to move, just a little more and we will manage to get out”. Akashi clenched his fist and stood up, following after him with a lowered head. Coyote watched from the side and did what Bird told them to do.
_
Blood… It sprayed in front of Akashi, making the boy freeze. “Bird?” He whispered and glanced down. Bird’s lifeless grey eyes started at him from the ground. Akashi closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He whipped out a kunai and threw it to the side, effectively impaling a ninja in the throat. He peered to the side and watched as Coyote took care of the other one.
“Wolf, we need to move, right now”. He urged the redhead as he pulled him away from Bird.
Akashi grit his teeth and followed after his last squad member…
Leaving Bird’s severed head on the ground.
_
They ran and ran and ran, but the enemies just kept piling up… So did the dead bodies when they were finished with them. “Shinya… Something is wrong… Why are there so many of them here? This was supposed to be a simple information gathering mission! Not a fucking slaughterhouse!” He ran next to the said boy.
“I don’t know… Something is definitely up, but we need to keep moving, we’re not too far away from Konoha borders”. Just as he said that, a shuriken flew past their heads, narrowly missing them by an inch. Akashi whipped around and threw his kunai, instantly teleporting to it. The enemy ninja was caught off guard and that cost him his life.
“They just keep on popping out! What the hell?!” He stopped for a moment. He needed to rest… They’ve been running for who knows how long. His chakra was almost non-existent, spent by using his teleportation all of the time.
“We need to move, come on”. Shinya reached a hand towards him, but a kunai flew out of a nearby thicket and impaled his palm. He pulled his hand back with a wince, before throwing a kunai of his own. It connected, judging by the gurgle that they heard behind the thick leaves which concealed the enemy.
“Damn it”. Akashi reached his hand forward and grabbed Shinya by the palm, turning it face up. He hovered his other hand over it and quickly pulled the kunai out, immediately healing the damage it had done. “This should do it”. He sighed and wiped at his forehead, he was starting to sweat out of exertion. A hand entered his field of vision and it swiped across his forehead, pushing a strand of hair back.
“Let’s go”. Shinya said and jumped away, Akashi following after.
_
“Shinya?” Akashi asked as he held onto his shoulder, blood seeping through his fingers. This can’t be happening… This can’t be happening… This can’t be happening… Was what he thought as he stared at the boy across from him.
He no longer had the mask on and it revealed all of his features.
Including those glazed over eyes of his.
“Shinya? What’s the meaning of this?” Akashi asked, wincing as the wound throbbed. There had to be a mistake… There’s no way Shinya would do this… There’s no way he would attack him…
“My name is not Shinya”. Those words… Damn those words for bringing him so much pain… Those words hurt more than the gaping hole in his shoulder. “That name was given to me by Danzo-sama”. Even his words sounded empty.
“Given? Danzo? What are you talking about, Shinya?!” Akashi yelled out into the dark night. His voice echoed through the open clearing they were in.
“As I said just now, my name is not Shinya and there’s no use telling you since you won’t live through the night”. Akashi was hearing the words he said, but he understood none of them. Won’t live through the night? Was Shinya going to kill him? End his life with his own hands?
“No! Stop! Listen to me!” He took a step forward and watched as Shinya gave no reaction, his expression as blank as a sheet of paper. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, but you must have been hit by… By some jutsu!” He told him.
“No jutsu was used on me”. The moss-eyed boy replied.
“Please… Shinya… Tell me this is a joke, look, I’ll even forgive you for stabbing me, okay?” He forced a smile on his face as he gripped the wound, blood intensely slipping down his bare shoulder.
“I am not joking”. Shinya reached behind himself and grabbed the blade on his back.
“Then… Was it all a lie?” Akashi asked, fearing for the worst. This was something straight out of a nightmare. To see Shinya stand opposite him… On the other side… Fighting on the other side…
Against him…
“I was tasked with getting closer to you and I followed the order given to me”. He said all of that without a single emotion on his face. How could this happen? This wasn’t supposed to happen! They were getting along just fine! Everything was fine! And this was how they ended up… As enemies? As fucking enemies?!
“So it was all a lie… Everything…”. He whispered, feeling his body throb in pain. It hurt… Everything hurt… It fucking hurt… “What was your end mission?” He found himself asking, even though he already knew the answer to that question.
“My end mission is to kill you and I will fulfil it before dawn rises”. There it was. The answer he dreaded to hear.
“Who would have thought?” He asked out loud, not noticing Shinya approach him with his weapon drawn. He glanced ahead just in time to see him bring his blade down. Akashi rolled to the side, narrowly escaping the sharp steel. He had no time to rest, since Shinya lunged at him and thrust his blade forward. Akashi felt it slide between his ribs and he shivered as the hot pain flashed through his body.
Shinya twisted the blade to the side and it dragged along one of Akashi’s ribs. A moment passed and Shinya ripped the blade out, catching Akashi by the throat and holding him in place. He raised his blade once more, but Akashi whipped his head forward and slammed their foreheads together. The other boy stumbled backwards and released his hold on the redhead. The said boy fell onto the ground since nothing was holding him up and desperately tried to heal his wounds.
He shuffled backwards, creating as much distance as possible between them. Shinya had shook his head and looked back at him, before he twirled the blade between his fingers and stalked forward. It was then that he froze in place. His brows furrowed as he tried to move, but found himself unable to. Realisation flashed across his features and he glanced down at the ground. Akashi’s blood had connected in little spirals, creating a seal which stopped his movement.
“This again… It’s futile, you’re running out of chakra”. Akashi felt his hand twitch and the green light on his palm faltered, before flickering out of existence. “I can wait…”. Shinya said as he started straight at Akashi. The said boy bit his lip and closed his eyes. This wasn’t how things were supposed to end. Not like this… Not by his hand… Not by Shinya’s hand. “There we go”. His eyes snapped open and he saw Shinya approach him, blade facing the ground as blood dripped down the tip.
“Shinya… You don’t have to do this…”. Akashi mumbled, already feeling dizzy by the severe blood loss. His world was spinning around him and it took all of his strength to just sit upright.
“I do”. His hand raised and the crimson blood glittered under the moonlight. “This is the end… Goodbye”. He gripped the blade and brought it down.
“I love you!” Akashi screamed out through clenched teeth and the blade stopped inches away from his head. “Shinya… I love you…”. He sobbed, not realising Shinya had stopped. “It’s okay… Everything is going to be fine… A mission is a mission…”. The tears dripped down his dirtied cheeks, leaving translucent streaks on his skin. “I just wanted you to know that… I don’t blame you…”. He whispered and the other boy barely heard his last words.
“You should…”. Akashi heard the rough reply and opened his eyes. The sight that greeted him was bound to always be in his memories. Tears dripped down Shinya’s face and slipped down his jaw. “You should blame me…”. He gripped the hilt of the blade tighter in his hands. “Blame me for everything…”. He took a step back and grit his teeth. “Bird and Tiger are dead because of me… Please, blame me!” He begged and his hands started shaking.
“Everything is going to be alright, just… Drop the blade down, please”. Shinya violently shook his head side to side.
“I can’t do that. I can’t go back to Konoha with you still alive…”. He bit his lip and a drop of blood slipped down his chin. “I can’t kill you now… But if I go back to the village with you still alive…”. He trailed off and Akashi didn’t need to hear more.
If he returned to the village without fulfilling his mission, he would be killed.
“Then do it, kill me”. The words left his lips and Shinya looked at him in disbelief.
“No! I can’t do that!” He shook his head again, this time, his whole body started trembling.
“Then what are you supposed to do?! Please tell me and I’ll help you!” Akashi forced himself to his feet and stumbled towards Shinya. The said boy grabbed his wobbly body with his free hand and stabilised him.
“You can’t help me…”. Akashi didn’t believe that. There must be something he can do! Anything!
“Shinya! Please! There has to be something I can do!” He weakly banged his fists against the taller boy’s chest and leaned his head onto his shoulder. “Please…”. He whispered, more tears slipping down his cheeks and staining the other boy’s clothes.
There they stood, under the ominous lights of the moon, in silence.
“Then… Will you kill me?” Those words rang in his mind and all he could hear was static. He immediately pushed away from Shinya and stumbled backwards. His pupils dilated, staring at the boy in front of him.
Staring at his lover who wished to die by his hands.
“You.. No… No! No! No! No! You cannot ask that of me!” He shook his head, not wanting to hear any more of that.
“Akashi…”. He heard footsteps approach him, but he dared not open his eyes. “Look at me”. He didn’t want to, so he chose otherwise. A sigh was released in front of him. “I know I asked too much of you, but I need this”. Akashi grit his teeth and took a step back.
“You’re right! You’ve asked too much of me! I cannot do that!” He forced out, feeling his throat constrict in pain.
“Akashi… Listen… It may be too much, but you must do it!” Shinya raised his voice, desperation clear in his tone. “I’d rather die than take your life!” He yelled out and Akashi took a step forward, placing a hand on his own chest.
“It’s the same for me! I can’t… I just… It’ll be too much… I can’t handle something like that!” He clenched his eyes shut and looked at the ground. His heart was harshly drumming against his ribs.
“Do it for me… I’d rather die by your hands than be tortured to death by theirs”. Everything hurt… Everything fucking hurt and he couldn’t handle it. “Akashi… Please…”. He begged and Akashi opened his eyes.
“This is unfair… This is so unfair…”. He sobbed out. “We had so little time… So little memories…”. Shinya took a step towards him and closed the distance between them.
“Yeah… Indeed we did…”. He wrapped his arms around the smaller boy. “I’m sorry… I’m so fucking sorry… I’m sorry we have no time left… I’m sorry we have so little memories… I’m sorry our journey together ends tonight…”. He whispered into his neck and his body shook with a violent tremble. Akashi slowly reached for Shinya’s hand and took the blade out of it. Every single nerve in his body was lit aflame.
“Everything is going to be okay…”. He brought the blade closer to Shinya. “Everything will be fine…”. He pressed the tip to his front. “I’m here…”. His hand trembled. “You’re here…”. Shinya leaned into his shoulder and Akashi let his head drop back. Tears streamed down his face as his teeth clenched together. “We’re together…”. He tightened his hold on Shinya and gripped the hilt of the blade. “And that’s all that matters…”. His voice trembled.
“That’s my boy…”. He heard Shinya whisper and he thrust the blade forward.
There was a brief moment of silence, before a weep escaped Akashi’s lips when Shinya relaxed against him.
He pulled the blade out and threw it behind him. His knees gave out and he fell to the ground, cradling the other boy’s unmoving body in his arms. He wept and wept and wept. His palm gripped over Shinya’s wound… Right over his heart… He killed him… He killed him…
He pierced his heart and now his own was crying out in sorrow.
He looked towards the sky and opened his lips. Screams of grief echoed through the open clearing and he screamed and screamed until his throat was bloody. Until he could feel nothing else except PAIN.
Multiple footsteps resounded around him, but he didn’t care.
He would be fine with dying right now.
But… It seemed like it was not his time yet, because as soon as the ninjas came close to him, blood was spilled. And it was not his.
Golden chains burst out of his body as he curled up around Shinya. The chains pierced into everything that was around him. The ninjas, the ground, the rocks…
Everything was shattered into a million pieces.
The ninjas tried to get away from him, but it was no use… They stood no chance against those chains. They were impaled… Torn apart… Destroyed… Until there was nothing left, but lumps of bloody flesh on the ground.
Blood dripped down the chains, staining the ground around them.
The sky opened up and it was like it rained blood on everything.
The light drizzle of rain didn’t do much to wipe the blood away.
Akashi leaned away from Shinya’s cold body and looked up at the sky. The drops slid down his face, clearing away every bit of blood, but Akashi knew… The blood on his hands could never be cleared away…
He blankly looked around himself and saw the massacre that was done by him. Blood covered every surface. The rock, the ground, the chains… Even himself.
Is this what things were supposed to end up like? This pain? This anger? This grief? This sorrow?
Is this how the world worked? Did it just break everything there was to break? Destroy everything there was to destroy? He glanced at the corpse in his hands. Kill everything there was to kill?
Is this how the ninja system worked? Ninjas fighting against one another? Ninjas being ordered to kill? Children being ordered to kill? Wars breaking out every now and then?
Akashi knew things would never change…
As long as there was war, there would be no peace…
And war was always present. If one war ended, the consequences of it would be the cause for the next one. It’s a never-ending cycle of pain and suffering.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath…
If there was no world… There would be no PAIN.
In that moment, everything clicked inside his mind…
The only solution for everything… Would be…-!
“Get out of my head!” Inoichi was knocked out of the memory, tears slipping down his own face. “Get out of my head!” He was thrown further back out of the blackness. Bright light assaulted his senses when he opened his eyes. Akashi was looking at him with such hate that Inoichi stumbled out of the chair he was in. He tripped on his own feet, almost falling onto the ground.
“You fucker! How dare you poke around in my head?!” He struggled in the chair and Inoichi’s eyes widened when he saw the seals around his arms and legs start to tear. It was too late to do anything about it, because a second later, the boy was out of his chair, reaching a hand towards him. He jumped back, but Akashi had managed to grab him by the shirt. “You had no right to do that!” He screamed with eyes lit ablaze.
Inoichi was about to speak, but Akashi’s eyes rolled back into his head and he dropped onto the ground.
The man stood frozen in place after what he had just witnessed.
Such pain in such a young boy… It wasn’t surprising after what he went through.
He took a step forward, but stopped in his tracks…
That last part of the memory… He shivered in fear as he remembered the feeling in that one moment.
Who knew such a boy could harbour such strong feelings of rage towards everything around him?
