“So i asked about our introduction on this topic with the professor and he said we lacked some stuff. So we should- Y/N?” Chaewon asked Y/N who seemed to be dozing off looking outside of the library.

“Y/N? Hello?” Chaewon waved her hand in front of him making him snap out of it.

“Ah, sorry, what was that?” He turned his head to her.

“What were you thinking about? Is something bothering you?”

“It’s just that….” Y/N paused in the middle of his sentence and looked back out of the window looking at the group of students who seemed to be laughing and joking around outside.

“I wonder if i could ever be like them…. doesn’t seem like it’s possible, does it?” Chaewon looked at where he was looking at before giving an answer.

“Nonsense. Of course you can! Who says you can’t Y/N? Look at you! You’re improving!”

“Am i, Chaewon-ah? Sometimes i feel like everything i did until now is just based on my thoughts and not my emotions.”

“Well Y/N. Let me ask you. Remember about the time when you saved me from that guy?”

“Yeah?”

“You did say that you were angry right?”

“That’s what i concluded it to be. I just ran to save you without thinking about the consequences.”

“You saving me without thinking much about it just means that you were acting based on your emotions and not your thoughts. If you really thought about it before kicking him, i think you wouldn’t even kick him in the first place because of the risk of you being possibly being expelled because of having a fight with another fellow student.”

Y/N processed what she had just said. He then slowly nodded in agreement.

“You’re right. I could’ve been expelled like you said.”

“See? That’s a sign that your emotions are starting to show. Don’t think about it too much and just let it flow.”

“I’ll do that. Thank you, Chaewon-ah. I’m glad you’re here to help me.” A sunray went through the window as Chaewon was stunned by what she had witnessed in front of her.

“Did you just smile at me?”

“Did i?” Chaewon’s question made it disappear as he rubbed his face.

“You did! Aw~” Chaewon rubbed his head again giving him the prize.

He looked cute smiling like that.

Feeling like her heartbeat is rising, she quickly pulled away from him as her ears are a bit flushed. Like a maiden in love, she rubbed both of her kneecaps as she tucked her hair behind her ear taking a deep breath.

“We should start working on our project.” Y/N nodded as the both of them continued their work.

Y/N memorized the words his mother had told him as he’s on his way to the convenience store to do the errands. There he spotted Yuri who was walking not far in front of him. Why wouldn’t he know? That bright red hair is too bright for him to not notice her. He decided to walk up to her to say hi.

“Annyeong, Yuri-ah.” Y/N tapped her by the shoulder making her jump. But she was overreacted a bit making Y/N worried.

“S-Sorry.”

“Ah! It’s you, Y/N-oppa. Thank goodness.”

“Where are you heading to? It’s already dark out here.”

“I’m just going to buy some ice cream from a nearby store.” She said showing him the new flavor as he looked at it. “I wanna try it so bad…. i wanted to try this with Yena-unnie tomorrow, but it’ll take too long. Don’t tell her about this okay?” Yuri winked at him as he nodded making her chuckle.

“Now it’s my turn to ask the question. What are you doing out here? Surely you’re not going out to hang out right?”

“I’m just going to the store that you’re probably heading to as well. To buy some eggs and milk.”

“In that case, let’s just go together then.” Yuri offered as Y/N hummed as a response.

“You know oppa. We haven’t really used the heartbeat sensor much, have we?” Yuri pointed to the sensor he was using on his wrist making him lift his arm up to look at the constantly beating heart rate.

“Now that you mentioned it, yeah. But i did keep a constant look at it whenever i feel something.”

“Really? How come i never noticed?”

“It’s because my heartbeat only made a change whenever i’m with Chaewon.”

“Hm~?” Yuri gained interest as he mentioned her unnie’s name. “What kind of change are you talking about here? Mind specifying about it more?”

“Everytime i’m alone with her. It just…. rose. Whenever she patted my head, it also rose. I don’t know what’s happening to me.”

“Oppa. Can i ask you something?”

“Sure.”

“Have you ever thought of the possibilities of the feelings that you have whenever you’re alone with her is…. love?”

“Love?” Yuri nodded at his question.

“….i did ask her about it.”

“Ask about love?”

“Yeah. She was explaining how love meant to her, and when i tried implementing it in my case, i concluded that i was in love with her. And after that i asked her about it.”

“You told her that you might be in love with her?” Y/N assented Yuri’s question as she gasped while covering her mouth with one hand. Her interest grew bigger as her gaze is starting to become more sparkling.

“And then what did she say?”

“She said that love isn’t that easy. I shouldn’t just conclude it as love as soon i felt it, especially when i don’t even have the full knowledge of emotions yet.”

“Hmm….” Yuri touched her chin as she stopped with Y/N stopping with her. She nodded a few times agreeing with Chaewon’s words after pondering about it for a bit.

“She’s right. But you know Y/N. There’s always chances. Get what i mean?” Y/N shrugged not getting what Yuri had said.

“She was probably trying to say that you might not be in love with her. Rather you only like her as a friend. Don’t you think?” Y/N nodded.

“What i mean is, she’s right. You might like her as a friend considering what she has done for you. But then again, it doesn’t eliminate the possibilities that you might be in love with her rather than liking her only as a friend.”

“Is that…. different?” Yuri nodded at his question.

“Liking someone as a friend and liking someone as a lover is different. It’s a bit hard to explain, but you’ll understand it once you get the hang of it. I’m rooting for you Y/N.” She patted him on the back.

“But then even if i am in love with her, what am i in love with her, what should i do?”

“Of course confess!” Yuri said ecstatically

“Confess?”

“Mm! Say that you’re in love with her and you would like her to be your girlfriend!”

“Girlfriend….? What’s that?”

“You don’t know what a girlfriend is?”

“Does it mean a friend of the girl gender?”

“….you have a long way to go Y/N. But don’t worry! I’ll try teach you about these kind of things! If i can’t teach you, then i can just ask the others!” Yuri said with a lot of energy making Y/N stare at her.

“You’re just like Yena. Always energetic. No wonder you and her are always together.” His words made Yuri smile even wider at him.

“Thanks! Hehe.” The both of them fell silent as they’re continuing their journey onto the store. Until Yuri decided to tell what’s been on her mind.

“Oppa, can i ask for your help?”
